Just wanted to share with you the fun I had opening my mail today! I got my order from City Deals. I ordered $50 golf hub bucks for my hubby for his birthday and paid $25 for it. I was expecting to get $25 in a Mrs. Fields gift certificate as well for free, but I did not expect this:
“Hello friend! During our Mrs. Fields promotion on August 5th your order qualified for a free $25 Mrs. Fields.com gift certificate. Due to the overwhelming response we experienced during this promotion, we ran out of $25 gift certificates. We didn’t want to leave you empty handed, so we slipped in a $50 gift certificate instead. Please enjoy this gift from us and don’t overdose on cookies!”
Isn’t that awesome!!!!!! I will definitely use City Deals again!
Thanks so much for sharing this with us, Jennifer! I know it’s easy to discuss negative issues with companies… but isn’t great when we take the time to recognize the positive in companies?! I hope to share many more stories like this in the future!

Same thing happened to me, except there was no note included. What a happy surprise to see the $50 gift certificate! I have always been very pleased with my City Deals purchases.

I have a question – I did this deal…have not rec’d it yet but anyway — does City Deals always give a gift card if you purchase something? How did people find out about the Ms Fields gift card? Great deal, just wondering do they have a free gift card with purchase all the time or what? Thanks!
That is funny because I have been trying to get a hold of them multiple times today because they could not ship to my address??? I am so annoyed with them right now! Sorry not to ruin your story…I just have not had a good experience with them!!!!!!!!!! 😉

I also had a great experience with Smiths Grocery Store. I emailed corporate about a coupon issue I had with a cashier and customer service. The manager said I was right and to come in and he would triple the coupons the cashier wouldn’t take.
Also TGIF’s mailed me a coupon for a free appetizer I was supposed to get from taking a survey. I didn’t get the survey code to take the survey, but they sent it to me anyway. YEAH!
I love getting free things! I was excited to win the $20 card, but all the exciting cards I saw there are gone. I am from a small town and hours from the city and was excited to use on our next trip tomorrow. Like someone said above I will have to wait for them to reload the deals. :p

I truly appreciate great customer service. I recently had an awesome experience with S.C. Johnson. I emailed customer service because a bottle I had purchased of Windex Multi-Surface had a defective squirter (I’m not sure if that is the technical name. 🙂 They emailed me back in a couple of days thanking me for my feedback. In addition, they said they had mailed me a coupon for a free bottle of Windex. I received the coupon within a couple of weeks and it also included a booklet with additional coupons for their products. I was very pleased with the kind, prompt, and generous response I received.
I am glad this topic came up b/c I purchased the Buca Di Beppo gift card posted here a couple of weeks ago. I have not received any notification of when to expect it. I hope soon! How long is the wait time?
I’m glad some of you had a good experience. After reading about this I was really excited to get my order. It arrived today and there was NO Mrs. Fields certificate of ANY value! I’m very upset! The only reason I did this deal was for that certificate. They are definitely getting a phone call tomorrow!
I left them a message on Friday. After not hearing back from them I called again today (Tues). She said they ran out of Mrs. Fields certificates but would credit my account $12.50 for future purchases. I’m still frustrated and it’s not what I wanted but I guess better than nothing…
