You can score an awesome deal on Hot Pockets and Lean Pockets at Walgreens this week! The best part about this deal is that absolutely NO manufacturer’s coupons are required. You see, there is a month long Register Reward deal available on participating Nestle products (which includes Hot Pockets and Lean Pockets). Plus, you can use the in ad coupon available in the weekly ad to sweeten this even further.

Deal Scenario:
Buy 4 Lean Pockets $2.99 each = $11.96
Buy 3 Hot Pockets $2.99 each = $8.97
Total = $20.93
Use the 2/$3 in ad coupon (Which will make each package of Lean/Hot pockets $1.50)
Pay $10.50
Get back a $5RR (for purchasing $20 worth of Nestle products)
Final cost ONLY $5.50 total– just $0.79 per package!

**You can also do this deal with the Stouffers Mac ‘n Cheese Entrees since they work with the in ad coupon and Register Reward deal too!

(Thanks, Wild for Wags & Amanda!)

the walgreens coupon says a limit of 4 so how do you buy 7 when you can only buy 4 at a time?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had the same question. Is that why they bough 4 Hot Pockets & 3 Lean Pockets? Is it a limit of 4 per brand?

    • Sara

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, it says limit 4, not limit 4 of each kind. Am I missing something?

      • shannon

some walgreens will let you get as many as you want with the coupon, it doesnt automatically stop at 4, but at my walgreens they wouldnt let you do that, they would make the coupon good on 4 then charge full price for the rest. and they wont let you use more than one of the in ad coupons for the same item per transaction either. i rarely ever go there anymore, its not worth the stress to me.

  2. Sheri

My Wags doesnt bat an eye at the limits. The coupon will take off for as many items as you have if your store will let you.

  3. donna

    wondering the same thing….

  4. Jennifer S

Any one tried this in a testing area? We never seem to get the extra RR hiding deals. Ugh!

    • bali

🙁 I was wondering the same thing but i’m not getting my hopes up. The testing area has been REALLY sucky with the good RR deals… The monthly deals aren’t advertised online anywhere, are they?

      • bali

Ooh, I just found it – it’s even advertised in my Wags monthly coupon booklet (pg 6), so I guess it’s a GO for the testing area! =D

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you for the specifics. I always feel more confident with the “proof” in hand. I will be heading back to Wags this afternoon on my way to get the kidos from school 🙂

  5. larisa

Am I missing something, the coupon she shows says 2/$3 (not $3/2), which means it’s costs $1.50 each.

    • Kim

She has the cost figured out AFTER the RR, since you’re getting back a $5RR.

  6. Collin

    Hi guys,

Sorry for the confusion. My Walgreens does not have a problem allowing customers to purchase more than the limit stated (as long as they’re not going overboard). Also, you only need to have the cashier scan the in ad coupon once and the correct amount will be deducted off each item purchased.

  7. imm93

My store never say anything about limits…and in the example you are getting 4 of one type and 3 of the other type so you can argue this point.

    Also 2/$3=$3/2=$1.50

Can I buy Nestle water for this deal??? I’ve done the Aquafina water before for the Pepsi RR.

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

ooo.. dont forget the coupon in the new September All You mag.. 😛

  10. Sharon

The limit of 4 means four of any products listed within that coupon, NOT four of each different product. But sometimes, depending on that store’s supply and management at it, a person may be allowed a double purchase within that transaction. Please ask and save everyone’s time at the checkout. Also, going to cosmetics for checkout when you have more than a couple of store and manufactor coupons works better for everyone, too.

    • bali

;-)… unless your cosmetics lady is as clueless as mine are… seriously, they act like they’ve never seen coupons before here, and they’re TERRIFIED to call over the manager if something doesn’t ring up right. I NEVER check out at cosmetics.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’ll check out and use my coupons anywhere I want, if the other people in line don’t want to wait, that’s their problem!!

      • Mary S.

Generally in my neck of the woods we try to be considerate of others and avoid tying up the cashier with dozens of coupons when the folks behind us just need to get a cola on their lunch break. I always let everyone go before me. That may just be a southern thing.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        How rude!

        • shannon

they generally have more than 1 check out line, if the line gets long then they should open up another one, or call people to cosmetics. no need to argue or act like youre better than anyone else over it.

Just got home and yes it did work and I got my $5 RR, problem is finding 7 hot/lean pockets in stock, I felt bad taking all 7 that they had.

  12. meganph

my walgreens is terrified of coupons! they have trouble even if i get exactly what is pictured.

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just did this, bought 7 and it didnt work!!! what did i do wrong?

    • Heidi

Are you in a test market?

  14. Dawn

I just did it. Bought 7 hot pockets (they didnt have any lean) and the RR printed.

    • Christy Painter

How do you know if you are in a test market?

      • Heidi

You would know. We have a Walgreens reward card, and don’t have to clip ad coupons-the sale price is automatically given when you use your card. The test markets don’t get the same deals as the rest of the country, such a bummer! HTH 🙂

  15. winnie

Worked. Bought 4 Hot Pockets and 3 Lean Pockets. Got $5 RR back. Thanks.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Do they have to be Lean Pocket, or can I get ALL reg. Hot Pockets?

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m in Mesa, AZ, and I just did this deal. There was a “cling” on the window/door to the freezer containing the hot/lean pockets stating the $5 RR for the $20 purchase. I grabbed 7 total: 3 lean, 4 regular, and at the register the cashier informed me that it was limit 4. She said she could call a manager over, and he approved the transaction. (It helps to smile, right?) I ended up getting this deal!

  18. Noel

I tried this and the RR didn’t print, I thought that my wags prices were a little lower so I grabbed another one, but it still didn’t print but the awesome cashier and manager made it print for me! YAY! So I wouldn’t go there counting on the deal I think it will depend greatly on who is working 🙂
