what happened to the Zazzle post from earlier today for free business cards?

    • Lisa

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I was at work, so I had to wait until I got home to do it…then it was gone?

  2. sabrina

so is the starbucks card a credit card?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      That’s what I’m wondering too…

      • melissa

No, its not a credit card, you register your starbucks gift card… any card you have and anytime you use it you get free flavors and refills… 🙂 Its pretty good when you order a vanilla soy latte… the vanilla flavor is free, the soy is free… so you end up paying the price of a regular latte. Based on that you get points and those points move you up from the level so you get even more treats!
I think the “catch” for them is that you are loading your gift card with money already… so you have to or have to spend money at starbucks… but if you ask me, Id rather load a card and have a “coffee budget” for the month. 🙂

    • Samantha

Just a gift card. I bought a $15 keychain card. Not a super frequent Starbucks shopper b/c of the price, but looking forward to a birthday treat in a few months! LOL

    • Amberly

Sabrina: The starbucks card is ANY gift card you get from Starbucks. Just register it at starbucks.com and you get some pretty cool benefits. I love it!

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

After looking at the website. From what I’m understanding, it’s pretty much like buying yourself a gift card and making your purchases with the gift card, but you then have to reload the giftcard over and over again when it runs out. Personally it sounds like a hassle.

    • Samantha

I do this with Sonic and it’s not a hassle at all. You can even get it set up to do an auto-reload if that is more convenient!

    • Beth K

Truthfully that’s what I do to keep myself in check! On the first of the month I load an amount on the card for the month, and when I use it up, I’m done with Starbucks until a new month starts. Otherwise I can lose track of how often I might be stopping there 🙂 The rewards program is just an added benefit to my already-in-use system.

  4. Erin

It’s easy to get to the Gold level and getting a few free drinks now and them is a nice perk! 🙂

The Starbucks Rewards program is actually a really good program, my boyfriend and I are both members. We have our giftcard auto reload every month, so we don’t have to worry about not having money on it or reloading it when it gets near empty. This has also allowed us to budget for coffee, if we have no money left on our card then we don’t go to Starbucks. You also get a post card for a free drink of your choice every 15th purchase and on your birthday. I highly suggest joining, even if you don’t go that often!

It’s a gift card. Just so happens I have an old one from christmas with a zero balance. It doesn’t have to have a balance on it for you to get the free sandwich and birthday drink. You could put $5 on one next time you are there and then use it for your purchase.

  7. Lisa

I agree with Erin, I registered a gift card I was given last year and use it when I go, if it runs out I reload (according to our coffee budget) at that time, though you can also sign up for auto reload if you don’t want to deal with doing it yourself at the counter. To me if I am going to spend money there anyway I might as well get something “extra” for it. I now have a gold level card and have recieved 3 free drinks (any size!) in the last 9 months or so since I’ve been using a registered card. Not much (barely any) work for a little reward for this coffee lover!

  8. maria

I totally work the system with my card, you get a “star” (point whatever) for every purchase, so I’m purchasing multiple things I have them rung up separate. n Gets me those free drinks even faster.

  9. K

Check out the “my Starbucks card” iPhone app – you can load all your cards directly to the app and you can see your balance seconds after you made a transaction; it will keep track of how many stars you currently have and how far away you are from the free drink; you can reload it right on your phone AND MY FAV – the cashier can get the gift card number directly from the app so it isnt an issue if you forget your gift card. Also fun? The Starbucks inside ALL Targets can scan the bar code from the app, and you’ll still get the star credit when using the app at those locations which you wouldn’t get if you were just using the gift card.

4-6 weeks for delivery of the coupon? Won’t it be expired by then?

    • Valerie L

They don’t expire for a while after you get them. The two we currently have expire in October and November and we got them in August.

  11. Laura M

YUM, had two gift cards that we had gotten for christmas one year, just registered one for me and one for hubby, now we can get a free breakfast out- very excited

  12. lucyandoscar

Starbucks is expensive so I’ve come up with a way for me to still get my fancy coffee without it hurting my pocketbook! We have Coinstar machines in all of the grocery stores in my area and these machines reload gift cards. So, whenever my purse is full of change I just load it up on my Starbucks card! And best of all when you reload a gift card, the machine does NOT charge you a service fee…like it would do when you redeem your coin for cash.

  13. Jess G

We have only one Starbucks in my town, and it’s a part of our student union. And guess what? They refuse to accept gift cards 🙁

    • Tilla

1 starbucks in a whole town, i never thought it possible;) I’m not a coffee drinker, but I do partake in their iced tea, and living near Seattle, I don’t have to step more than 2 feet in any direction to find one

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It’s probably a franchise – like the airport locations – or a licensed store, like the ones in a Barnes and Noble, those are technically “Barnes and Nobles Cafes which proudly serve Starbucks.”‘

  14. Kelly

I’m kinda ashamed to say I’m a Starbucks gold card carrying member. I budget pretty high for Starbucks each month. It’s my one splurge that I allow myself since I start work at 6 every morning….coffeeeeee….. The program is actually really great and easy. You can load your budget each month from your credit card to your Starbucks card online and when your allotted funds on your card are out…you’re out. After every 15 drinks you get a card in the mail for a free one. Your syrups are free, and they used to give members free wi-fi but now that’s standard for everyone.

    • Tilla

don’t be ashamed! you deserve to reward yourself!!!

  15. danielle

    • Jodi

      That’s what I did, too!
