To celebrate Geoffrey’s Birthday, Toys R Us is having a Buy 2 Get 1 FREE sale on various items including ALL Hasbro Games and LeapFrog Tag books– which means you can score some pretty sweet deals…

Deal Scenario #1:
Buy 3 Monopoly and/or Sorry Games on sale for $7.99 each
Minus buy 2 get 1 FREE sale = $15.98 for all 3
Use 3 $4/1 coupons found here (no longer available 🙁 )
Final cost ONLY $3.98 total– just $1.33 per game!

Deal Scenario #2:
Buy 3 LeapFrog Tag Junior books $10.99 each
Minus buy 2 get 1 FREE sale = $21.98 for all 3
Use 3 $4/1 coupons found here or here or in the 9/19 SS
Final cost only $9.98 total– just $3.33 per book!

If you have any issues trying to snag these deals, explain to the cashier that you are getting one item free from the stores sale, however, you are still technically “buying” that item according to the manufacturer. The store is NOT losing out because coupons should be treated the same way as cash.

Is anyone having trouble printing the $4 off monopoly [etc.] coupon now? It let me print it once yesterday. And now on a new computer today it says print limit reached. ??

    • Christan

The site says that for me too. I got two on my computer last night but didn’t want to kick my son off his computer, so waited til today to print. Bad idea as now it say print limit reached for me too! bummer!

Oh my gosh! Just got back from Toys R Us. I bought 9 games, used the $5/$25 coupon and 9 manufacturer coupons. I only paid $2.66 for all 9 games, and that was tax! Somehow my subtotal came out to be $0…I have no idea how that happened but I’m not complaining! I saved $88.91!

  3. Jess B

I’ve been to 4 computers, so I’m pretty sure they’ve pulled it. Bummer- I really wanted a sorry game!

  4. Gayle

Idaho Falls location refused my coupons. They said they would take 1. This is a bunch of crap! I called customer service and corporate is supposed to call me back. What do you do when a store refuses your coupons?

    • Jessica

I’m in IF too and they refused to take “multiple coupons” as well for the games. Its because the coupon says “1 per purchase” but I tried explaining that purchase and transaction but they didn’t get it and said that they wouldn’t get reimbursed if we used more than 1 MQ in a transaction… I called corporate to complain as well.. hoping to hear SOMETHING! Please post if you find anything out! Hoping the Tinkerbell deal works.. did you try that one?

      • Gayle

I’m not going to try the Tinkerbell one. I went in again today and a different person checked me out but the same manager lady was there. Still only 1 coupon. I’ll let you know if I hear anything. Good Luck!

    • Jessica

I had the same problem today… one per purchase. I walked out not buying them. I will try again one more time…

    • Jackie

I had the same problem at the IF store with the leapfrog books…I was SO mad!! Please post if you hear back from corporate. It’s such a good deal I don’t want to miss it!

      • Jessica

Corporate gave me a call this am and they are a bunch of LOSERS… they said that you can only use 1 coupon per transaction no matter what. ???? So I posed the question if I have 100 items and 10 coupons I have to do at least 10 different transactions?? They said yes ma’m that is right. They couldn’t even tell me what their “coupon policy” was. The IF store is the worst and the customer service is terrible. I won’t be shopping TRU ever again. What a hassle. Good for all of you that have good stores! Wish we did too! BOO for Idaho Falls IDAHO!

        • Jessica

Oh and the guy “Michael” also said this isn’t a new policy at all, it’s been this way for years?? Although I used to be able to use more than one coupon per TRANSACTION… hmmmmm sounds fishy and ridiculous to me.

          • Gayle

I read somewhere that Toys R’ Us has the policy of no manufacturers coupons. I’ve always been disappointed by them!!! grrrr! Lucky everyone else who can get these things for so cheap! Thanks for the update!

      • Jessica

Jackie- I went back today to pick up my tinkerbell preorder… I did this… paid $15.74 with tax (didn’t use my $10 MQ) so I paid 29.99-$10 preorder-$10 B&B preorder discount +$5 B&B preorder… got the $10 GC, and the watch.. took the movie out to my car, came back in with my $10 MQ and they gave me $10 cash back.. Ended up paying $5.74 for the TB3 + got the $10 GC and then preordered B&B. Worked like a charm- no beeps and the manager was so nice about it! Took about 5 minutes is all… I breathed a huge sigh of relief because after reading everyone’s nightmares I was nervous!

I still couldn’t get the games, but the manager Barb (blonde nice woman) was super helpful..

I actually got another call from corporate today about the email I wrote but the lady said it is their policy to only take ONE MQ per TRANSACTION not per item. Weird.. Wish I could have gotten in on the game deal!

Sorry and Monopoly ARE NOT Hasbro games, they are made by Parker Brothers. They are not part of the B2G1 free sale. They are $7.99 each and with coupon only $3.99 so still a good deal.

    • Wendy B.

apparently they are a subdivision. I was at Toys R Us on Sunday and bought 3 Sorry games…. on sale for $7.99 each + part of the buy 2, get 1 free sale…. my total for all 3 games (after using 3 $4.00 coupons) was $4.22

    • Kim

I know you posted this a few weeks ago, but Parker Bros IS hasbro. If you read the box it says so. I thought the same thing when I went to buy Sorry but I read the box and it is a Hasbro company. Yay!

Be on the look out for the travel games too! I just got back from my Toys R Us and found 3 travel Guess Who games at $6 each, they counted for the buy 2 get 1, so it was $18 for all 3, minus the free game $6, so $12 and then I used 3 $4/1 coupons to make all 3 FREE!

In addition, the card games do count too, so I got 2 sorry board games and 1 pictureka card game and it was $8 each for Sorry, plus $6 for Pictureka card game. They took the pictureka for $6 off, making it $16, I used 3 $4/1 coupons, so it was $4 OOP for 2 Sorry Games and the Pictureka card game! I did the card game because I only had 2 of the board game coupons, but since Connect 4 and Pictureka printable coupon is still available, I used that and I still got a great deal.

Also, my store had some clearance Mega Blocks items that counted for buy 2, get 1. I didn’t have coupons, except for the $5/$25 one, but I still got some great deals.

I did 3 seperate transactions, spent $60 OOP total and got, Tinker Bell Blu Ray, Free Tinker Bell watch, Pre-Order for Beauty and the Beast, 3 Tag Junior books, 3 Travel Guess Who, 2 Sorry Board games, 1 Pictureka card game, 2 small bags (25ct) Mega Blocks- Big Blocks, 2 Junior builder Mega Blocks kits, 1 Dora mega blocks set and 1 Mega Blocks toddler Stacker blocks. I think my original total would have been over $170 before all my coupons and free items, and that is calculating the clearance price from the mega blocks, not the original totals!

No, according to the coupon, it must be used on a Tag book greater than $9. And it appears to be coded for Tag Jr. books, too, because I bought three last night for less than $6 using a $5/$15 purchase TRU coupon and three mfg coupons.

  10. Drina

The $4 coupon was also in USA Weekend insert of the Sunday Paper. I, too, was only allowed to use one coupon for buying 3 games, but still they were only about $4 a piece, so I did it. I’m in KY.

  11. kayla

i just picked up Clue Secrets and Spies on clearance at Target was $18.99 down to $9.48 and i used the $4 coupon. i thought that was a good deal.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got 3 travel Sorry games. I was prepared for an argument since the coupon said board game (these did have a small board) but to my surprise the cashier scanned the coupons (I had 2) with no question and they went through with no beeps. I didn’t see any of the full-size 7.99 games and was in a hurry so I grabbed the travel games for 6.99. HTH.
