If you look at the sale prices they include the Playsaver coupons. It’s in the fine print right under the sale price.
I looked the price up on the ToysRUs website. It lists the original price at $19.99, on sale for $14.99. There’s no mention of the $10 coupon, so I think that the price of $14.99 doesn’t include the $10 coupon.
I did this purchase yesterday. The sale price doesn’t include the coupon, but the ad does show the price if you use the coupon. You’ll still get the Strawberry Shortcake stuff for $4.99!!
So all the deals are already there for you listed right in the Toys R Us sales flyer. 🙂

I stopped @ TRU today & got (2) SSC RC Cruisers, 1 SSC Berry Styles, and 1 My Little Pony Airplane Dash. Total was under $15 with tax included which averaged about $3.60 per toy. 4 Xmas gifts out of the way. Thanks Collin! I definitely would have missed this if it wasn’t for you.

I used the $5/25 TRU Q and 2 $10 Strawberry shortcake toys. Brought 2 RC CRUSIERS and paid $5.35.
Yesterday I went so I could use the $5 off $25 that expired yesterday. I bought the My Little Pony plane, the Mommy and Me car and the Batteship U-Build game all for $25 with all the coupons! It was great to start early Christmas shopping! I did not get the coupons in the paper and want to get the Strawberry Shortcake!

We don’t have a Toys R Us, but I just got back from Wal-Mart and they did a price match. I got the Strawberry Shortcake RC car and 2 of the Pet Shops for just over $10 with tax. I bought 10 more of the Strawberry Shortcake coupons and 10 of the Littlest Pet Shop coupons on ebay. I am going to use a few to pick up some birthday gifts for my stash and give the rest of the coupons to friends.
What was regular retail at Walmart? Do you know?
The RC car was $20 and the Littlest Pet Shops were $5 each at my Wal-Mart.
I did a price match at Target with no problems!
Got the RC cruiser. $6.47 after tax (CA is lame-tax is ridiculous!)
Can I just say I love my TRU here in Crystal Lake, IL??!!? I screwed up my purchase of Tinkerbell last week (my brain was on vacation), and they did all sorts of register gymnastics to get me the savings so it was free. Last week I also bought a Monopoly U-Build for my nephew’s bday and a Sit ‘n’ Spin for my son… only to find coupons in this Sunday’s paper. So when I went today to buy the Strawberry Shortcake things, I asked if they would honor the coupons and they said “absolutely!”. They have been awesome. Over the past two weeks I’ve saved $205.94 at TRU b/w sales & coupons… spending only $154.84 (57% savings!). Woohoo!! Thanks for all the great deals scenarios 🙂
I called Hasbro to see why Texas papers did not get this insert. They apologized & said that only certain states received it. 🙁 However they are mailing me a $3 off coupon for any product (I know it’s no $10 but I will take this for another day to score a great deal). He said they did not have the $10 off coupon since it was a printed insert. So just in case any of you want to call Hasbro & see if maybe why your state didn’t get & maybe you can score a $3 off coupon also.

I just purchased both Strawberry Shortcake items for a total of $9.98. Our local TRU was out of stock , so I took the flyer to Target and priced match for the first time and it worked on both items. $4.99 each !! YAY !!! Thanks so much Collin ! 🙂

I tried a price match before at Target and, not only do the want the ad, but they want the WHOLE ad, not just the page with the item you are trying to buy! AND they insist it be the newspaper ad, not an internet printable version… 🙁

I called Hasbro and they told me that tru printed the whole thing about the playsaver coupons in their ad as a mistake and Hasbro put the inserts in some papers to offset tru’s error. My did not come with one 🙁

Saturday I made off with a load! Playskool toys were buy 2 get 3rd free, plus there were lots of coupons. I bought a Wheel Pals Cushy Cruiser $16.99and Chuck and Friends Mini Vehicles $9.99, used $5 off purchase of $25 or more. Also bought a Lullaby Gloworm and used the $2 off coupon. Baby’s R Us sent me a coupon for diaper packs 2 for $15. I had received a $10 gift card for starting a baby registry. I received a 2nd $10 gift card for addring the diaper genie to my baby registry. I also had the $5 off $25 coupon. My total was $8.96! Woo hoo!
I went today and wanted to buy the SSC Cruiser and SSC Sweet Styles plus two Petshop toys. They did not have a SSC Sweet Styles but the manager was going to substitute for me and over ride so I could use my coupon. The SSC Fresh Fashions Boutique was on clearance for $14.99 so I chose that. (It rang up as $11.23!). When we went to check out he didn’t need to over ride, the coupon went right through with no beeps. So keep you eyes peeled and hopefully it will work for you too. The Littlest Pet Shop Collectibles were also only 3.82 in store, even though they were marked as on sale for just a bit over $4. So in the end I walked out with about $66 worth of toys for only about $20…and going to have one very happy niece come Christmas 🙂
