My local Walgreens restocks their shelves on Wednesday and Thursday so you may have some luck. It never hurts to ask too. They sometimes hide the “hot” items behind the counter.

A price match works great but the other stores won’t give you the RR.
Nivea is not a RR deal. It is priced at $1, so a price match will work in this case.
I found a plastic bin full on the cosmetics counter. The regular shelf space was empty – so try there. Good Luck !

I was just running out to get a couple papers and stopped into Walgreens to check out their clearance and was super excited when my favorite beauty cashier was putting up the new sale tags on the shelf. I asked if they would ring up today and she said YES! She said the sales prices will, but not the RR deals. In any case, I scored some Nivea for free and super cheap Starbucks with last week’s RR’s and coupons. I didn’t know that the ads overlapped, so I was super excited!!!! I have looked carefully through my SS today. I can’t find the $4/1 Schick coupon. Is this a regional thing? I am in the Chicago metro area.
Unfortunately, that is the case….all coupons are regional. Not everyone gets the same stuff, even the values can be different.
I’m in Chicagoland and got the $4 Q … are you getting the Tribune??? (The other papers don’t have all the coupons.)
I got my inserts from the Red Eye which is made by the Tribune. I just assumed it had the same coupons since I haven’t noticed any missing. But I have only been doing this for about a month so maybe I’m wrong.
Question for you. I have the Chicago Tribune delivered, and this is the second week in a row that there are no coupons. Are you having that trouble?
I have tried to buy the Tribune the past 2 Sunday’s and they haven’t had inserts. I went through a whole stack of them at the Dollar Tree and then again at a Thorton’s this week thinking last week was a fluke. I emailed the Tribune to see what is going on.
I’m in northern california and I also DID NOT get the Schick Razor Coupons……..so bummed. Trying to stock up for Stocking stuffers.
I’m in Northern California too . . . the Schick Q’s were in the San Francisco Chronicle and also the Fairfield Daily Republic.
I just got the Tribune this morning, and got all of the coupon inserts, and got the Schick Hydro coupons for the Hydro 5 ($4 off) and Hydro 3 ($4 off). It was near the back of the SS coupons. I think I’ve not gotten only one or two coupons that Collin has ever listed that I’ve been interested in. I haven’t wanted every deal that Collin lists, but that’s still a pretty good percentage.
Does every walgreens participate in the register rewards? I guess i’ve never noticed if my local walgreens does this? Or maybe i just never go in enough??

Ok, so I just went to my local Walgreens and they have a new policy that you can only use 1 Register Reward catalina per transaction. How lame is that??? I just re-read the corporate policy and that rule is not there. It must be a local management policy. Has anyone else heard of/run into this???

I am having a hard time printing coupons…I have jumped through all the hoops I can. I have a HP Officejet 6210 all-in-one does anyone have any advice? Please….I need my coupons :'(
What exactly is the problem? Is it your printer, or does an error show up? Maybe if you’re more specific we can help.
an error shows up, it says sorry, we are unable to print, then it has three steps, one to make sure the printer is pluged in, has paper, and is on (all the above is done)…then two says to check to make sure my printer is marked as default (I did), then three make sure “keep printed documents” is NOT checked (and it’s not). That is all the “help” they give, I have uninstalled the program reinstalled it, I was able to print just fine then all of the sudden, I can’t. I am able to print target Q’s no problem, it’s redplum and coupons.com and smartsource, I’m having trouble with :'( Any advice?
I’m no guru, but here are some ideas from where I have had problems. Restart your computer and check for waiting updates. Connect to the internet using Internet Explorer, I typically use Mozilla but at times it causes trouble with coupons. If you do not see updates waiting, Google for program updates such as Internet Explorer, Java Script, and Adobe. When you see the error screen described above, see if you can simply hit continue and bully your way past it. I have seen this error message and at times have simply disregarded it and the coupons printed…surprised me! I have also seen this error on some coupon websites and could not print using my pc running Vista, but can with the hubbies MAC. However, this should not be the issue on Coupons.com and Smartsource, they print on all of my computers. Hope this may help.

What a great day today shopping. I spent 29.50 on over 210.00 dollars worth of grocerys and stuff and walgreens. But I also have 26.00 dollar that I can turn in on my flex account. and Earned 12 dollars in register rewares. So todays shopping trip will end up netting me money for the first time every. YEAHHH
I heard that the IRS is not allowing over the counter meds in flex accounts next year. BOO
They aren’t , that is why I am stocking up now on OTC medications

How do you guys know if your paper has the $4 off coupon? Isn’t coming out in the paper on Oct. 03???? Just a tad confused
Here in MN at least, the Early Sunday Star Tribune has the coupon inserts on Saturday as well as the regular Sunday paper the next day–and the Saturday paper is much cheaper. I’m guessing that’s what other papers do too.
Some people get the inserts in their Saturday paper because their paper doesn’t publish a Sunday edition or for other reasons. 🙂
A lot of smaller papers and small town papers have a weekend edition that comes out on Saturday morning with coupon inserts and ad inserts.
My walgreen’s doesn’t have Nivea for $1 at all! try almost $4… I wonder what’s up with this?
The sale on the Nivea Lip Balm does not officially begin until Sunday, Oct. 03. Some stores will change over their prices on Saturday evening. That is how some people are able to get them for that price today. Check back tomorrow.
It was already posted at my Walgreens today. It says it start 10/2 so it is already in effect.
I know this is off the subject, but I just wanted to share this with you guys. I need some sympathy… lol. I just got back from Wal-Mart, grocery shopping. My total before coupons was like 110 dollars, and after was like 60 dollars. I thought my total was a little high, so I came over and thouroughly went over my receipt. I realized that the cashier charged me twice for an item, and about 5 of my coupons did not get credited to my bill! I am very upset.

IF the WalMart isn’t too far from where you live, I think you should definitely go back and tell them, they should at least fix the item that was charged twice for. As long as my daughter is in a good mood – I never leave a store until I have double checked my receipt.
I agree if you have the opportunity to go back to the store tonight I’d do it. Several weeks ago I had a cashier at a local Rite Aid rush my coupons through and by doing so some of the coupons didn’t register making my out of pocket higher. I let her finish out my transaction but after looking at my receipt closer I went back and had them fix it so I could the money credited to me.
I am sure I’m not the only one that FORGETS to use a coupon, too , especially if you have sep. transactions. Rite Aid has a way to post the coupon and they will simply do whatever they do in the computer and hand you cash in exchange for the coupon, so no hassle of returning the item and rebuying with the coupon, etc.
Go back to the store and ask if they will fix it.
I sit in the car and go over my receipts every time. I mainly shop at Meijer’s and they
are really bad about double charges, not doubling when they should be, and not crediting
coupons all together.
One way that I know right off the bat that something is wrong is I add up the total coupon
amount before handing over my coupons. So take the total, minus coupons, that at
least takes care of getting credit for all coupons. I ask the cashiers to not put the coupons away until we are done and I only hand three or four coupons to them at a time and watch the total decrease as they scan them. If something does not go in correctly I stop the and have them fix it.

I too hate going back afterwards but be sure you are COMPLETELY safe sitting in your car. No amount of money saved is worth it if I get kidnapped or worse. Safety First! I’ll check my reciept from the comfort of my own home with locks on the doors vs being a ‘sitting duck’.
Just check it in the store before actually leaving. I just pull my cart over to the side and go through my receipt to make sure everything is accounted for. This especially helps when you are charged 2x for an item that way you can prove it as you never left the store. That is what I do and I do not care what other people think if I sit there for another few minutes looking over my receipt. HTH
I just printed the Cottonelle wipes coupon, and it says “Save $0.50 off two tubs or refills, or one 72ct or 84ct refill”, so I don’t think it will work on this deal.
I ran into my WAGS this evening, and they had the Nivea Lip Balm already marked for $1.00, but they only had two of the “Kiss of Moisture”(my daughter’s favorite) and four of the “Milk and Honey”. I got two of each. I hope they get more in this week, or I guess I will be getting a rain check so I can use the coupons from the Sunday paper. 🙂
I just got home and bought 8 Nivea lip balms, the shimmer one (pink) and the regular one (blue). I have enough coupons to get 8 more for stocking stuffers, but I didn’t want to use them all at one store and made sure I left plenty for others. I paid $0 for all 8
Wow, those Nivea lip balms were very hard to find at my store!! I had no problem with the EOS, they were hanging on practically every other end cap in the middle aisle of the store and with the other lip care (chapstick, blistex, etc) I got 1 of each. But the Nivea…nothing not with the other chapsticks, not with the Nivea lotion (thats where I find them @ CVS).
Finally found them on an endcap near the pharm where there was a display of other cold medicines. Only 4 on the shelf, which I bought 1 of each (pink shimmer & the reg blue one) b/c I only had 2 $1 coupons.
Only thing they didn’t have was the Quaker, so I’ll have to try another store tomorrow.
I asked one of the employees and they didnt know so after searching all over found them right by the nivea lotions!!! Go stock up!!! : )

I did score the frappacino deal (I wasn’t sure they would take the 3.99 in ad coupon and the $1/2 from the monthly wag coupon book). Plus the EOS lip balm and 2 free Nivea lip balm.

First, the wheat thins at my Wag’s weren’t $1 either, they were $1.99 for that little box. On the frap deal, I got them (2 cartons) for $3.99 each like it says in the in ad coupon and then she took off the $1/2 from the October booklet and also let me use 2 $1/1 coups that Collin had linked us to last week. FYI on the schick razors, my store had peelies for a free schick hydro shave gel with the purchase of a razor! I stocked up! Hope other stores have the same peelies.

ok, went to wags this am. i’m new to this so need a little help. i bought the razor which rang up at $8.99 (used a peelie for $5 off with edge gel purchase),2 edge shave gels (used bogo Q). 2 nivea (used $2/2) and 1 eos., used $5rr. paid 3.21oop and received a $4rr for razor & $3rr for eos. heres where i’m now confused. in my next transaction i bought 1 eos, 2 nivea (used $2/2) and 1 birthday card. used a $5rr but it didnt give me a $3rr for the eos. they said it was because i used too many coupons in the initial purchase. huh? i used more in the first transaction with no problem. any help?? the cashier is not very helpful there and even said to me “you really know how to cheat the system don’t you”. i bit my tongue!!!

you are correct. i bought the lemon. my bad. went back and the others are all gone. maybe they will restock. That’s ok my son loves lemon and lip balm so he was so excited (he’s only 6). it’s starting to get cold and its very windy here in western nc so it’s perfect timing for a new lip balm. Ok, I’m trying to console myself for my mistake. I’m new to this so I’ll learn the hard way sometimes. Still, she didn’t have to be negative with her comment. She is always saying things to me for using coupons. I just smile and “kill ’em with kindness.”

BTW Debra- the cashier had no business talking to you like that and don’t let it bother you. Honestly, I think cashiers are sometime jealous when they see us getting great deals and think we are pulling something off. What they don’t realize is all the time spent preparing for these deals! When I first starting couponing I made little oops all the time- still do in fact! Hang in there!
thanks jt. i’m starting to get better at it. i put so much time into it now. it’s hard with an 8 month old, & 7 & 5 yr old boys. it has now become like a personal challenge to see how much i can get for free. and thanks to everyone here with all their help and deals i think i’m doing pretty good so far. i agree with you on the cashier envy!! maybe it was because you were using an EOS reward on another EOS purchase…walgreens usually doesn’t allow RR to “roll.”

I think the Schick Hydro Razor is intended for men…but have any of you ladies used it? I’m out of refills for my Venus and my man doesn’t need the Hydro so thinking of using it, lol.
I have almost always used men’s razors and they are great. I don’t care if its a “man’s” razor lol.
IMO the mens razors work better and yes I use the Hydro 5 LOL

I *ONLY* use Men’s Razor, and primarily because I stock up when they’re FREE at Walgreens. Stock up and you’ll eventually get so used to them that you won’t know the difference!
You’re right! 🙂 I used the Hydro 5 this morning and it worked great! I was surprised. Seems way better than any women’s razor I have used. Makes me wonder if they are meant to manufacture other problems to treat with more products for ingrown hairs etc 😛
i got 23 things in free nivea lip balm today (i didn’t come close to clearing store out so don’t worry). Paid 2.14 in tax. Great additives to party bags my 3 girls are always making up little bags for their gal pals.

I just returned from Walgreens. I had printed coupons off the internet for the Johnsons baby powder and was was checking out with them. The cashier said that corporate said they can not take the internet coupons amymore. Said it was something to do with nothing was printed on the back of the coupon. She took the coupons this time but did ask the manger about it and he said the same thing. I don’t know if we will able to use them after this. I came home and read the policy on this. Next time I will print out the policy to take with me. Anyone else have problems yet?
I used my printables today at the store, they wouldn’t scan, however she entered the coupons UPC codes manually… Sorry to hear that. I would call corporate just to be sure.
Every time I try to print out the Purex Laundry Detergent coupon- it comes up saying I have already printed out the max # of coupons allowed to me. I have not printed out ANY Purex coupons ever! Anyone have an idea of why this is happening or how to fix it?
I’ve had that happen with other coupons (I haven’t tried the Purex, though), and then was able to print them on a different computer. If you have access to another, try that. If that doesn’t work, maybe they’re all out of prints??

i went to my local walgreens which is in staten island, new york to get the nivea lip care and the rimmel mascara. NONE OF THOSE ITEMS WERE MARKED 1 DOLLAR OF 50 PERCENT OFF, RESPECTIVELY on my walgreens flyer. however, i still went there to see if it was discounted in the register. it wasnt :(. it was regular price. i even had the coupons all ready to go to buy these items. what happened?! is this deal for certain areas?

I printed a Nivea coupon off online, Collin posted a link earlier this week, but it’s supposed to be in today’s Red Plum too. My area doesn’t have Red Plum inserts, but hopefully yours will. They should be for $1/1 or $2/2. So, FREE! I got 2 today. They weren’t marked on sale, but I asked the lady at the Cosmetics Counter and she showed me which ones were on sale for $1.
All the Nivea lip balm coupons I had printed earlier expired 9-30. Now when I try to print more it says they are all out of prints-no more available.
BONUS!!! I just got back from Walgreens and not only did I score the FREE Hydro 5 adn 3, but the 5 had a FREE coupon for a shave gel on it too. So, I got the razor and a shave gel for FREE (counting the RR and using the $4 coupon).
Weren’t the Nivea coupons online good for $2/2? I got 2 Nivea’s and only $1 came off. I was so excited that I didn’t notice it until I looked at my receipt in the car. $1/2 isn’t bad, but FREE would have been better. Maybe I’m mistaken, but I swear the coupon I printed online was for $2/2.
The EOS lip balm is neat too. It’s a little odd as far as the application goes, but you can’t beat FREE!

I went to Walgreens today and got some Reynolds wrap for $.14 each. There is an in-ad q to make them $.89 and I had $.75/1 q’s from a couple weeks ago. It’s valid on the 25 ft ones!
I had 4 nivea coupons from All You magazines and 10/3 RP. I found two lip shimmers on the wall by the cold medicine, and other types by the Nivea lotions. (all of them were clearly marked $1-gasp!) So free stuff, but I also wanted the Rimmel mascara. It was not 7.79, it was 9.99. The coupon is very specifically for the lash accelerator. The final price was 1.49. My store had a lot of 50% off stuff. Flavor Aid (kool aid stuff) was 50 cents which is a good filler, but I also saw some Neutrogena make up remover 50% off and some Leggs hose, etc. It would be good to be prepared with some Neutrogena coupons.

Always, always have them price check the item. Don’t trust the price posted on the shelf. Walgreens (at least in my area) is notorious for not putting any current sale prices on the shelves, even though stuff eventually will ring up at sale prices.

How awesome is that! In the ad, it makes it seem as though it’s only those special Halloween candies that are 29 cents but all the regular size Crunch, Butterfinger, Baby Ruth and Spree candy bars ring up at 29 cents with no coupon! That is an incredible stock-up price!
Found a great deal today at Walgreens!! Dove 24 OZ body wash on sale for $6.00. I used the $1.25/1 body wash coupon from the 10/3 RP. Total oop was $4.75 and you get a $5 rr back!!
Also purchased the Prevacid, the coupon is dependent on your area…..it appears that you usually have to spend about $10 over the $25 coupon…..still a good deal if you ask me.

I am still trying to figure out this Walgreens policy which requires you can not use more coupons than items you are purchasing. I know the Register Returns count as coupons. So for the Shick deal, I wanted to use the $4 coupon, plus 2 previous $2 RR’s, but that would have equaled 3 coupons and only 1 product I was buying, so of course I can’t do that. I bought 2 of the pumpkin candies (29 c kind) just to make sure I had 3 items. First off I think this stinks, I didn’t need the candy, but forced to buy more items just to use my coupons. Grr! Second, I have a question about this. If you use a coupon that says for example $1 off 2. Do each of those products count as 1 item each or do they count as 1 item total for the both of them? Did that make sense? Because last week I tried to use a coupon for Quaker cereal $1/2 and tried to use 1 Register Reward, so I thought 2 coupons and 2 items (2 boxes of cereal) so I was okay, but the cashier told me no, that one coupon was $1/2 so that coupon was for 2 items they didn’t count seperate! Was this accurate? Anyone else had similar problems? Thanks! I want to return to Walgreens later this week, but want to make sure I fully understand their coupon policy.
yup that happened to me with twizzlers a while back, it is correct b/c the coupon attaches to both items if it’s $1 off 2. Anyways, wags is so frustrating to me that I quit them for awhile unless they have something I REALLY REALLY want and I make sure to spend my RR”s immediately on something like toilet paper so I don’t feel pressured to go back in the next week. I mostly stick to CVS.
Anyone know if the walgreens coupons are part of the coupon to items ratio? Such as this week there is a coupon for popcorn for 25c, says limit 4. Could I potentially use that to add items to my total without increasing number of coupons?
neither the coupons in walgreens ads nor the ones in their monthly coupon books count against your total number of mfg coupons when calculating how many RR you can use.
Yes, the popcorn is a perfect filler, the wags coupons don’t count to the total of coupons.
