Does Toys R Us price match?
I was told by an employee that the company stopped price matching years ago. You could always ask your store. Maybe the policy has changed recently.
I called yesterday after going through all the sales ads…they do price match but only on baby furniture type items, such as cribs, and other larger baby items such as strollers and car seats…you must bring in the ad, it must state specifically the item name completely (IE can’t just say britax it would have to say britax marathon) and it must list an exact price (no percent off, price range, etc….
For those that are going out tomorrow morning to 24 hr. Walmart for the TS3 movie, do you know when they start letting them go? And what time will you be there. Hope its not one of those line since 2 am thing lol. I just know I’m going to wind up driving everywhere knowing my luck :/

If you live in the DC area – Giant grocery store is giving you 200 Shell gas points if you buy it. So, for me & my 16-gallon tank, that’s $3.20 in savings. It’s price is $24.99, so with coupon, my net is $13.79. I figure that’s a decent deal and I doubt the grocery store will sell out as quickly as the other stores!

Has anyone tried to use the Secret/Olay coupon at Walgreens? I was jus afraid it would beep since it is $5 off 1 olay product and the olay soap is only $2.24.
I used 5 coupons yesterday to get 5 secret deodrants and 5 of the $2.24 pack olay soap bars. No problems at all!! Got the $10 RR too!!

Well, I tried it and it worked! The register at Walgreens took all 5 coupons. I had a “coupon police” cashier though that gave me problems. She called the manager before she scanned the coupon at all because she didn’t think I should get $5 off. The manager was new and said to try and scan it. It scanned and all went well!!!! Good luck.

Has anyone had any problems using more than 4 P&G coupons in the same transaction? The Walgreen’s deal looks good, but the coupon says no more that 4 of the same coupon per transaction. Just wondering 🙂
i did, no prob! they had no bars though, so i used it on the olay body was priced at 3.75 each. and the RR printed out fine. and i ALWAYS have issues, so i think it’s ok. =) good luck!
I did a version of the CVS deal last night – 2 Bountys with coupons, 4 Dawn Hand Renewals with 4-50 cent coupons (woo hoo!), 3 puffs w/ coupons and 2 Pantene with a coupon. (I wanted 3 Bountys but they only had two so I improvised).
I was able to get a $16 off coupon similar to an ECB for the movie, which my MIL will be getting tomorrow. (I don’t have kids so the movie is going to her house for the nieces and nephews). I am officially now her favorite (ok, and only) daughter in law!
Curious what option most are going for and which seems to be the best (and least complicated) deal?
I would love to do the Walgreen’s deal.. but I am cautious because the PG coupon states to use no more than 4 of the same coupon per transaction. Also, another person brought up the fact that the Dove soap is less than 5 buck. SO… idk, but if it worked it would be a fabulous deal!
you can always buy 4 secrets at 3.99 each 3 (4pk) bar soap at 4.49 each 1 (2pk) ( at my store) 2.46 bar soap total will be 31.89 use 4 5.00 coupons -20.00 get back 10RR final price 1.89 and you only use four like coupons! This is what I did and hand no problems 🙂

I think I will be heading to TRU. I pre-ordered TS3 when I bought Beauty and the Beast. I am just trying to figure out the $10 gift card deal, because when I did the Belle Tea cart deal, the total for the movie was reduced by the $5 pre-order so my total was under the $35 that was needed to get the cart. I guess I can find a 10.99 or more Disney Movie instead of the $9.99 one. And also, when you bought Beauty and Beast, there was a $3 off coupon when you bought TS3 and another Disney movie, so if you go to TRU, don’t forget that coupon!

where was the $3 coupon? i bought beauty and pre-ordered TS3 but didn’t see that one.
It was in the Magical Savings booklet that TRUS handed out when you purchased BATB. Some stores didn’t get them though.

I got my $5 pre-order refunded from TRUS because there was no way I was going to spend $34.99 when everybody else has it for $10 less. I don’t really care about the clock or tin so it isn’t really wasn’t worth it for me to pay the $10 extra for those 2 items.
If you previously pre-ordered, can you cancel the pre-orders then and get refunded the $5 you paid to pre-order the movie? I’m with you .. would rather snag the deal elsewhere.

Even if you did preorder at TRU, it’s still cheaper to go to Target (or elsewhere) & get it! You figure $34.99 minus the $5 from presale & $8 with coupon brings it to $22. At Target it’s $24.99 minus $8 with the coupon and you only pay $17.99. Then with the rebates (Campbells and Rayovac) you can get money back too! I’m ditching my TRU preorder!
I called my tru today and they said if you pre ordered ts3 the price is $29.99. It’s just not advertised cause you preordered it. if you pick if up off the shelf tomorrow it’s 34.99.

Yes, it would be $29.99 because you paid $5 to preorder it- so that $29.99 is the $34.99 minus the $5 you already paid.
I tried to use the $3 coupon I got my I purchased Beauty and the Best but was told I couldn’t! I purchased Toys Story 3 and the Phineas and Ferb xmas movie ($16.99), but was told that since I was getting the $10 gift card I wasn’t allowed to use the $3 coupon!
From the post, it looks like the Buzz is just a small collector’s figure. I’m also doing the TRU deal, I have that lovely $3 off coupon from the magical savings book. I did the Belle tea cart deal, at that time I had bought 2 BaTB combo packs, so it put my total over $40, even with TS3 preorder. I think the clock and popcorn tin is a great deal! Definitely find another disney movie, use the $3 coupon, get 10% cashback and $10 gc! Use the dvd/combo, clock and popcorn tin in one gift, what an amazing present for a TS fan!

So, if the Blue-Ray is 26.99 & the toys are 12.99, would the deal look like this??

I went this morning. They wouldn’t let me do both deals…the computer didn’t even take it off. So I got the bluray pack and a talking buzz(which my son loves!) for $27.xx. I will buy batteries and soup to get the rebates for that too. so not too bad.
I went this morning and bought the 3 talking toys and the Blue-Ray. Got 12.99 off (Buy 2 get one free) AND the 10 off (buy talking toy & Blue-Ray). The computer took it off, the cashier didn’t have to do a thing.
I went today. My store had the Blu-ray for $27.99. Bought a talking Buzz for $12.99 and a Woody toy and a Jessie toy for $7.99 each. So then I got one of the $7.99 toys for free and $10 off the combo pack. Used the $8 off coupon, too.
My Kmart in Cleveland, OH has the 4 disc set for 29.99. Our Kmart also has doubles up to $2 for the next few days and spend $35 on PG products get $10 coupon back. Got 2 Bounce Dryer bars, 1 Tide Stain Release (18ct), 1 Gillette deoderant, 2 four packs of olay bar soap and 2 travel size Secret deoderants for 13.30. Got back the $10 coupon and I had the intention to use it buy the Toy Story 3 set but the coupon says valid 11/7-11/14. I may go up again and try it anyways. Just disappointed because it didn’t say anything in the ad that the $10 coupon would not be vaild until the following week. I don’t know why they don’t specify it.

I saw signs at the store for the iron case when you preordered the TS3, it looked like you put the dvd or bluray box inside the iron case.
I did. The case is just sitting on and endcap display by the blu-ray movies in my store. But, if the combo pack is $24.99 and you get the $7.50 preorder off, then the $8 coupon, won’t the total be $9.49 plus tax? (I’m in CA so tax makes it $27.05 for me, minus 7.50 minus 8 = $11.55 after taxes.)

You are wrong to a degree- you’re right with your math about what you’ll pay when you pick it up, but you still did pay that $7.50 to begin with. Even though you’re only paying $9.49 when you pick up the movie, you have to add the $7.50 (that you already paid) onto that, so you’re paying $16.99 in total for both the blu-ray 4 disc combo pack and the collectible ironpack case. Of course that $16.99 is before taxes so you’ll have to tax the total before coupons, then subtract your coupons and pre-order. Looks like you figured that already though because you also state that you’ll pay $11.55 after taxes. So add the $7.50 to that and you’re paying $19.05 all together, after taxes, for both items.
Hope this clears things up, and others shouldn’t be so rude when someone doesn’t understand!

Both rebates can be done (there are two proof of purchase tabs per movie). I believe though that they are the same rebates that are running for Beauty and the Beast so it’s for one movie or the other.
Make sure you get a duplicate receipt from the register because they both require original receipts. Ask before you check out.

It also seems to go against Walgreens policy they put out recently (Collin has a link to it on here), one is not allowed to use a coupon for more than the price of the item and get the overage, so if I am reading correctly I guess the scenario is for whoever is ok with going against both policies (the manufacturer and Walgreens).
Question- when doing the Rayovac rebate- does the dvd/ blue ray and the batteries have to be on the same receipt? I just purchased 2 packs of rayovac batteries on Saturday. Thanks in advance.

Since the official form says include “receipt” singular that usually means it has to be in one transaction.
Someone asked that same question on the Rayovac facebook page, and they were told that you could purchase the movie and batteries at 2 different places (as long as you had both receipts).
For those that have a Publix supermarket nearby, you can get the regular DVD only version of TS3 for $9.99 AC. The upcoming ad preview starting Weds/Thurs. this week shows the regular DVD version to be $14.99. There is a $5 Publix Store coupon in the Green Advantage flier that says save $5 off any DVD $12.99 & up. The catch is that the Green Advantage flier expires on 11/5. I don’t know if Publix carries the Blu-ray combo pack or not and what exactly the price would be if they did.

If you buy either the DVD or Blu-Ray combo pack AND a talking Buzz or Woody toy (they’re 12.99) you get $10 off. The Toy Story toys are also buy 2 get 1 free so you can combine the deals. You can also use the disney coupon towards the combo pack.

I pre ordered. You go in store and ‘buy the case’ for $7.50. Then when picking up the movie you have to have your receipt to get the $7.50 credit. So, if i’m right it should be $24.99-$7.50 pre order = $17.49 -$8 coupon = $9.49 plus tax. Great deal for a blu-ray and tin. My math may be off though (colin’s deal above is only subtracting the $8 coupon, if the movie is only $24.99, still take off the $7.50 and the coupon. The only way I see her deal being correct in terms of the math is if the movie is really $34.49 and the $7.50 subtracted from that is $24.99, then taking the coupon off. Anyone know?)

I went to pick up Beauty and the Beast last time at my local Best Buy and they told me that they don’t take the printable coupons anymore. I ended up getting it at Target. Unless it’s a NY issue, YMMV.
I have to tell you “all” how excited I am!!! I just got back from “my” CVS and did several deal senerio’s in order to get a few ECB’s to use off the Bounty and Charmin deal. I bought everything in the senerio posted on this site…Bought the TS3 movie it took $16.00 off my total…I paid $22. and some change and got “ANOTHER” coupon for $16.00 off TS3!!! I was sooo excited…Bought another one for $3.99!!! 2 TS3 for 3.99 each…Don’t know if it will work for everyone and I have NO idea why it did…Just counting my blessings 🙂

Be careful, the Campbell’s rebate starts this Friday if you buy the movie, but the soups could have been purchased back in Sept(?) This is printed on the rebate for.
It says Oct-5-10 to Jan-31-11. You can do the Campbell’s rebate if you buy the movie tomorrow. Tomorrow is Nov. 2nd, 2010. That is with in the time line.
the 2 disc combo pack at target is 19.99 the 4 disc combo pack is 24.99. So that might make the target deal better 🙂

I just found the ad. Two disc is only blue ray, isn’t it? Combo dvd blue ray comes as 4 disc only.
At the top of the case it says 2 disc but then there is a sticker on it that says Bonus 4 disc…not sure if they are all that way but it was for me at Kmart.

you can but if you purchased it with any other deal you have to pay the deal back. So if you purchased it with the beauty and the beast dvd you have to pay them $10 & they will give you $5 back.
I returned my pre-order and got my $5 back without paying back anything. The CS person scanned the pre-order card as a return and handed me my $5 back. The manager said it was fine.

Collin is saying the case is free which you paid $7.50 for. The $7.50 comes off but you already paid it. So the cost is $24.99 minus the $8 coupon. So in your deal you bought a $7.50 case and hers it is free! So you are paying $16.99 for the movie AND case. If my math is right 🙂

The Cambell’s mail in certificate states the movie has to be purchased between 10-5-10 & 1-31-11. I was going to go out tomorrow and buy the deal scenario @ Target when I noticed this.
It is october 5 through January 31st. So you should be fine to buy it tomorrow!
just got back from tru to scope out the tin and clock. there were 3 clocks left and 2 tins…if you are doing the tru deal be early, because my tru does not look like they will have the freebies long.
My TRUS had one clock on the shelf so I know that it will be long gone by the time I would make it there. Maybe they are hiding some in the back stock room.

So, my above math would be correct with the 4 disc (2 blu-ray discs, DVD and Digital copy) blu-ray combo pack being $24.99, subtract the $7.50 deposit, is $17.49, then subtract the $8 coupon, is $9.49 plus tax

I guess I should have clarified but since I bought my ‘pre order tin’ a month ago, the first day I was able, I’m not factoring the $7.50 into it anymore. I am talking strictly when I go in to pick up my copy, right then and there I will only pay $11.55 (that’s with tax).
Sorry I wasn’t more clear. My total overall will be 11.55+7.50= 19.05 for a 4 disc blu-ray pack and the collector’s tin. Again, I meant that since I already have 7.50 toward it, when using the coupon my total that day will be the 9.49, plus tax, amount.

What’s the joke?
So I picked up my movie over the weekend. I had no issues with using the coupon. Turns out they only taxed me on the price after deducting the preorder so I paid $10.93 out the door. Add my $7.50 to that and my total cost for the 4 disc blu-ray and collectible tin was $18.43
Then I got a second copy at Target and was able to get a $5 gift card for spending $50 worth of toys. I confirmed with Guest Services that any movie listed in the toy catalogue counts as a toy for that gift card promo. That movie ended up costing me $19.05, would have been less if I was able to use the $5 off Rayovac coupon but my store was all out of batteries. Good weekend to have gotten some christmas shopping done!
Wow lots of deals on this movie. I think I will pass though since it is a little too scary for my 3 and 1 year old. I was able to watch it at the theater for free with my husband and we thought it was a little scary for young ones. Did anyone else think that way? I was creeped out by the doll. Yikes! I love Toy Story but please watch with or before your kids watch so you know what I mean.

We took our 3 year old (just turned) when we saw TS3 in theater. She was scared by the garbage scene with the incinerator. Otherwise she liked it..

If anyone else is still reading this now lengthly blog, everyone seems to forget to evaluate MovieStop, which are in east coast states. Granted, there aren’t as prominent as Best Buy, Toys R Us, and certainly Wal Mart, but if you have one in your area, they’re worth checking because they guarantee the lowest price (in that area) on new releases. I went last night just before they closed and they have the 4-disc version that TRU has for $34.99, priced at $19.99 with reservation. I can do without the tin and clock for my infant, but those extras are certainly worth it to other parents. But for the future, just remember to check this company out. They also have a sister side called GameStop, that sells new and used video games. I went ahead and reserved A Christmas Carol while I was in MovieStop, since it was going to be $19.99 also, as well as The Sorcer’s Apprentice. As a promo with TS3, there’s a poster and TS silly bands with purchase. The DVD is only $9.99 on reserve. But you do have to reserve before the release day. Hope that helps.
I just got an e-mail from Redbox that mentions a $5 coupon for the Toy Story DVD when you rent it from a Redbox. I’m not sure how you get the coupon, or if it is on the regular DVD or combo set, but it might make the CVS deal a bit better.
I think it’s a redbox coupon, if you buy the movie from the machine.

Sunday I bought 2 Charmin toilet paper $9.97 and a bounty paper towels $6.97 paid $26.91 + tax and got the coupon for $16.00 off TS3. Went today and got the movie it was $19.99… used a $3.00 off $15.00 coupon from the CVS machine and the $16.00 off coupon .. paid $1.07.

I went to Rite Aid this morning and they didn’t even have the movie!!! They are suppose to call me when they get it. I am so disappointed and so is my son. They have it in there ad! 19.99 with a 3 UP. Plus I was going to use a 10% I have and 5/25 plus some UPS. Oh well!!

I just got back from TRU since I did the preorder there. I got the movie, the popcorn tin and the clock. Instead of the Christmas sing-a-long, I got 2 other Disney sing-a-longs that were 2 for $12 plus I used the coupon from the booklet I received when I bought Beauty and the Beast which was get $6 off any 2 Disney Sing-a-long DVDs. So OOP was about $28 plus a $10 gift card back. At first I thought the coupon booklet was a waste, but it just paid off.

I have 2 $1/1 Q’s, so my after-rebate price for 2 packs will only be $1.98!! Then I can submit for the $5 TS3 rebate and make a profit on 40 batteries—YAY! 🙂
