(Thanks, Takako & Wild for Wags!)
Sweet…I guess me and the kids will be going this week. It’s too bad I can’t get a $5 rebate for each of us….hehe. So if 3 of us get shots, can I get 3 coupon books from Rite Aid?
Darn we got ours a couple weeks back at Kroger-the 3-in-1 shot. But I’m glad we have already gotten it. Been around a good number of people who are already showing signs of winter crud.
Awesome! I took my son to the flu shot clinic at school last week – free for kids and $20 for adults. I decided to wait and pay $5 extra to get mine at Rite Aid and get the coupon book. Now I can get it for the same price as what they were offering at school AND get the coupon book! Woot!
hm, i get mine at my hospital. no receipts are handed out there…
This will make my flu shot free (copay of $5). Can’t beat that!
Personally I would never get a flu shot or a shot of any kind in a store. I get mine at my doctor’s office.
The ones at Kroger are done in a clinic by a nurse practitioner. Knowing how much schooling that position requires, I have absolutely no issues with being administered a common vaccination accordingly.
why not? They have nurses at the stores same as at the Dr’s office.
Ok, sorry I’m still a bit young and stupid lol. So they are actually RNs and NPs that give the shots? Not just a medical assistant?
When I got mine at CVS last year it was the pharmacist (not assistants) and she said she had to be certified. I think it depends on the state but usually its the pharmacist or a RN. If you go to a CVS with a minute clinic, I think those are usually Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants. It doesn’t hurt to ask, if you are concerned who is giving the shot.
Yeah, a van comes out from the hospital to administer the shots at a lot of the stores in our area.
I work for a pediatrician and our shots are given by certified medical assistants. Our medical assistants give more shots in one week than our physicians have in their whole career. I would much rather have it done by a CMA than a physician any day!!
Our Walgreens is also giving $3 coupon for future purchase with flu shot – I will be getting mine soon!
Just a head’s up – the WAGS $3.00 off $15.00 coupon is only valid the day you get your flu shot.
You don’t have to get the shot to get a coupon booklet at RA. It is no purchase necessary, just ask at the pharmacy. I had to go to a RA that they were giving shots at (not all RAs do) but no problem just asked the pharmacist.
I’ve been watching for who will run the best promo. I would love to see a post on this since its free through our insurance, bonus would be cake 🙂
What about the flu mist? Will that count? Thanks!
Very nice! I just got mine earlier today for free at the clinic at work. No receipt, but it’s hard to complain about something that’s free!
awesome! I am getting the flu shot as soon as I am over my sinus infection and bronchitis. One for me, hubby and my daughter. I was planning on doing it at wags for the 3 dollars of 15 or more. Here is a tip for mail in rebates. I mail one from my house, one from my moms and one from my mother in laws. Sometimes I even get the ok from one of my brothers.
From the Lysol Rebate form:
Fraudulent submission could result in federal
prosecution under mail fraud.
Not sure an extra $10 is worth this risk.
This rebate is good for me. Thanks for the post
I too got a free shot through work. Cool way to try to get more people vaccinated though. If only everyone would do it then we wouldn’t have to worry so much about getting sick.
Not everybody gets free flu shots.
my insurance covers the flu shot so how would I get a receipt?
FYI- My target considered a flu shot a ‘new prescription’ so I was able to use the coupon to get at $10 giftcard with new prescription…and now a rebate.. WHOO HOO!
