Here’s are some tips to help you snag those free glasses…
* Once you have found the coupon code on the Facebook page (as outlined above), head over here to place your order. This promotion is only valid for web orders. If you need help with your web order, call the optical staff at 1-866-333-6888.
* Certain frames are NOT eligible for the promotion. If you see a “Coupons not applicable” message on a pair of frames, then it is excluded from the promotion.
* You will need a copy of your current eyeglasses prescription (it’s different from your contact lens prescription) and your PD measurement. Sometimes your PD will be on your prescription, but if not, watch this instructional video on how to measure it.
* After you have chosen your frames and selected your shipping method, you’ll go to a “Order Review & Payment” page, where you can enter and apply your coupon code. After applying your code, you will see your order total before you choose to check out (remember that you will have to pay shipping/handling charges of $10-$15)
* If you would prefer to order a pair of prescription sunglasses, you can use the coupon code and then you can add a tint to your lenses and simply pay for the cost of the tinting, which is about $30.
* Your free pair of glasses will include the standard 1.5 index lenses, which accommodates up to a -8.00. However, if your prescription is over a + or -2.00, you may want to upgrade to a thinner, lighter lens. If you choose to upgrade your lenses, or have selected progressives, Transitions or a tint, you will see the cost of the upgrade in your order total.
* If you’re not happy with your glasses for any reason, Coastal Contacts will allow one exchange for another free pair at an equal or lesser value. They’ll even pay for the return shipping and send you a return label. Just give them a call at 1-866-333-6888 to make arrangements. Remember to keep your box and all the accessories that came with your order.

yay! my glasses were 10 years old and my toddler broke them in half this week, perfect timing! I’m a little nervous about ordering without being able to try on, but hopefully they will work! what a deal!
Take the measurements of your last glasses that you think fit your face well and you can enter the measurements in to their fit search for other glasses with exact or close sizing. For example I like frames that are 27 mm top to bottom and 52 mm side to side. Stuff close to that size or off by a 1 mm… maybe 2 depending, usually always look ok on me.
I went to the SEARS optical today for a new exam and just ordered my sweeeeeeeeet retro glasses! it was about 40 for all the extra options for the lenses… but I saved over 120!!!! Thanks for this deal. I am SO HAPPY!!!

I did my order – without logging in (I’ve bought contacts from them in the past) and went all the way through paypal and then it went back to an error. I got charged through paypal, but no e-mail confirmation and no order number. I re-did it, this time logging in and the paypal went through to an error page, but this time I got an e-mail confirmation. So I know I won’t get both and I’ll have to fight with paypal probably to get my money back on one of them probably but STILL worth it. I got the Sarah Palin frames – just for fun and hopefully to drive some of my friends crazy!

Hope these are great. I ordered because they are satisfaction guaranteed with money back. I haven’t had a new pair for 15 years. I had kids with worse eyes that changed constantly. It will be great to see the TV in the evening, after taking out my contacts, without squinting with my glasses!

I am so lovin this deal…I am like the many of you that for cost reasons I hadn’t purchased glasses even though I wear contacts..but you just never knew when you’ll get an eye infection. My total cost was 34.88 just to wear once a while is good. I have bought from Coastal Contacts before and I had issues with them. Please be aware that they are located right near the Canada/US border. Their billing department is in Canada, I guess, because we were charged a foreign transaction fee on our credit card. Just FYI.

I just wanted to mention that I called last night to explain that I didn’t have my prescription yet and I wondered if the deal was just for today (which is yesterday now) and was told that It was on until all 10,000 pairs were gone and that I should pick out a pair call them back and they would place the order and have it on hold till I received my script. Then I have to call the script in when I get it. No guarantee that that frame will still be available but I would be in on the deal. I did that, paid $7.99 aprox. got email confirmation. They were both so friendly and nice. Now I have a little time to go try on glasses and maybe get a proper fitting. Don’t hessitate to call. They were very helpfull and it was slowing down a bit.
