Thanks Anna, I just printed mine. I was actually heading out the door when I thought to myself, let me check once more before leaving. AWESOME:)

      • Jess

I believe I read somewhere that when you use a coupon, they deduct that amount from your resulting rewards card. Still worth it though.

        • Jennifer

Awesome! Thank you for sharing! Here is my plan to score a couple of coupon insert files!

2- Office Depot File Totes $9.99 each
1- Scotch pop up hand band tape dispenser $2.89

          Use $10/$20 coupon
Pay $12.88 + tax out of pocket

          Get back rewards of $2.89 + $9.99 + $9.99= $10 MM!
Even if they do not end up giving me one of the $9.99 back due to the coupon that is still okay as it will all be free! Time to get organized! 🙂

          • RHONDA SATX

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I’M GEETING. HOW FUNNY:)

          • Laura

Just did this deal, twice getting ready to move so these totes will totally work then i can use them for storage, thanks for the awesome deals!
2- Office Depot File Totes $9.99 each
1- Scotch pop up hand band tape dispenser $1.99 @ my store

            Use $10/$20 coupon
Paid $12.96 with Tax out of pocket

      • Priscilla

the coupon helps you spend less out of pocket, less on sales tax….which also means you will have less $ that you have to spend at their store…..(from my searching out this information) you can NOT use the rewards to purchase other items that are FREE after rewards….you can NOT use it to purchase gift cards =(

    • anna15nc

Also… some Staples will take this coupon – competitor coupon! 🙂
I used it at mine and they accepted it. There was a book bag/Case-It that my son wanted.

  1. Mandy

I know they have a stipulation about the $2 back for ink/toner: you have to spend the same amount of $ equal to the amount of $ for the ink/toner… for example, if I turn in 20 inks for $40, I have to spend $40 in the same quarter to be able to get the $40 for the ink. (I’ve confirmed this with a call to customer service).

Do you know if they have the same stipulation for the 100% rewards?? And if so, can I use the 100% rewards card from a previous quarter?

    • fran

That must be something new with recycled ink cartridges. I never heard that until now.

This is in Collin’s post: *Purchases made with Office Depot Reward and Merchandise cards do NOT qualify for Rewards.

    • NolaGirl

Office Depot’s Rewards program seems to be getting more restrictive. A CSR at the toll-free # said the Rewards can’t be used to buy gift cards. I pointed out that the agreement says they can’t be used to buy Office Depot’s gift cards, but she insisted that it excluded other gift cards too.The store employees are great, but the phone center folks seem clueless. It’s like Walgreen’s Register Rewards.

Also, I’ve got $101 that I’ve never received from an April 100% promotion.
Collin, can you get some definitive info. on this?

      • NolaGirl

P.S. I meant clarity on policy not the missing Reward$..

        • NolaGirl

          P.P.S. Does using a $10 off $20 or $50 coupon negatively effect a 100% Rewards deal?

  2. Christy

What exactly is a rewards card? I’m new to Office Depot shopping. Is it like a gift card or is it some kind of point system? Thanks!

    • fran

When you sign up, you will get a rewards card that you need to present to the cashier for every purchase.
They issue your rewards quarterly, in the form of a gift card, as long as your rewards total is over $10.00, otherwise, it carries over to the next quarter.

      • Priscilla

from my understanding, the rewards (less than 10) only carry over from quarter to quarter…for 1 year! I believe it is a calender year…so, if you don’t have $10 by the end of Dec. you’ll (most likely) be starting over in January.

  3. Jess

I seem to recall reading somewhere that you can use the resulting Rewards card to purchase other kinds of gift cards at the store. Is that accurate, anyone?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Not sure about Office Depot, but there was a post a while back about being able to do that at Office Max.

      • Jennifer

I have done that at Office Max but not sure about Office Depot. Worth a try though!

    • Jess

Just read the Terms & Conditions – cannot use the Rewards card on any kind of gift card or phone card, services, etc.

  4. JEANIE

This coupon is still good until the 20th …. I’ve used it already for the past couple weeks and scored some great deals!!! It’s like getting stuff for 50% off!!! The coupon on the right is expired but the one on the right is good till the 20th!!

    https://f.chtah.com/i/8/2033158872/10.12.10ROP15off30.pdf

    • JEANIE

I meant the coupon on the left if expired…oops. ;0)

  5. Kerrin

In reading the small print it seems that the rewards I get back can’t be used towards other rewards next quarter… is that correct. I have a maxperks account and I just keep rolling the savings each time. I would love to do that at Office Depot as well but not sure you can. Also I live about an hour away from an Office Depot, do the rewards deals only work if you do a store pick up? Thanks for all the help!

    • Jess

Where did you read that? Thanks.

    • Jess

You are right – rewards can not be used to buy other rewards. Just read it on another forum. So if you buy a rewards item with a rewards card, you will not get the rebate.

    • Priscilla

per a phone call with customer support at Office MAX….policy change & you aren’t suppose to be able to earn new rewards IF you used your rewards to purchase those items, so watch your online account, to see if you get the savings.

  6. Anne

I don’t see the batteries listed in the ad with all the other free after rewards items. Is this a regional thing or am I just missing them?

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Is their worklife rewards the only reward program they have? I have an office depot acct. I go by y phne #…since they never gave me card.

Sry, my keyboard is broken.. I only have a limited nmber of keys I can se.. LOL. Soemtmes the keys work..soemtimes they don’t.

    • NolaGirl

      1. Enter your phone # at https://www.myworkliferewards.com/loyalty/account/logIn.do
      2. Choose “Forgot Your Member Number or PIN?”
      3. Enter your phone # next screen (your member # should now be visible on the log in screen).
      4. Enter your PIN (should be the last 4 digits of your phone #) or choose “Forgot Your Member Number or PIN?” again.

If your keyboard situation presents a problem (call the toll-free # 866-322-3225, Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm, ET.). They’ll ask for some identifying info. and mail a replacement card.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        It worked. Thank you!

        • NolaGirl

You’re welcome. Hope you can score a free or cheap keyboard soon!

  8. Moggyee

Does anyone know how ‘in-store’ pickup works? What if I purchase the product online, do i have to pick it up before 11/20??? Help!

  9. Andrea

Does anyone know if the shipping rewards work for sending boxes overseas?

  10. andrea

Can you tell me if there a limit on how many of the products you can purchase. Cant seem to find any limits?

    • Marci

On the ad in small print it says 2 items per member per day.

      • Laura

Does this mean you can only go and buy 2 items period that will generate rewards per day?
Or no more than 2 of each item # per day?

For example can I buy 4 of the Office Depot Stackable Totes with different item #s and get rewards generated on each each of the 4 totes?

        Sorry new to Office Depot.

        • Laura

          NEVERMIND : ) I see answer below : )

On the master list of 100% back, they list 16 different item numbers for totes (some are exactly the same tote, just in a different color). Can we get two of EACH item number, or just two totes, per day?

Yes, you can order 2 per part number.

    • Sheila

Also in the fine print: Limit $100 back in Rewards per member during promotional period.

      • swisspotluck

        Hi Sheila,

Fortunately, I think that limit only refers to rewards back on SHIPPING. Here is what I read in the fine print:

“100% back in Rewards on Shipping Offer: Limit $100 back in Rewards per member during promotional period. Excludes postage stamps and is valid in-store only…”

  11. andrea

    thanks so much Marci!

  12. Donna

If you use a coupon, do you still get the purchase price of the item back or will they deduce the coupon amount from your rewards total?

  13. Mandy

On the master list of 100% back, they list 16 different item numbers for totes (some are exactly the same tote, just in a different color). Can we get two of EACH item number, or just two totes, per day?

    • Wendy

Yes, you can order 2 per part number.

  14. janine

off topic… did anybody already receive their rebate for the office depot promotion a few months ago with Purell? I don’t think I have… thanks for your kind replies.. 🙂

    • Roger

Yes, I did. Hopefully you made copies of your forms and you can follow up with a phone call to the number that should be on the form.

      • janine

oh okay…thank you.. I will check on that..i normally keep copies of my rebates!

  15. Wendy

Okay, so I have a question for everyone. I got my rewards for the summer promotion and I was wondering if office depot has anything that would make a good gift(s). Any suggestions?

    • fran

With everyone into security these days, how about a shredder? Office Depot has this really cute shredders. They come in different colors and they shred the paper very fine. I think they are around $30, but don’t quote me.
They also sell the big jugs of those pretzel nuggets filled with peanut butter, if the gift is for a pretzel lover.
I’m sure you will be able to find something to buy with your rewards.

  16. Marta

Has anyone ever tried to sell their reward card on eBay?

  17. Kim Ottesen

I’ve been waiting for the 100% back on shipping! Just sent $77 worth of shipping today. It had to go anyway, so I don’t might the wait to get the work rewards back. I have not had a problem with this system, but it sure takes them a long time.

  18. NolaGirl

Don’t forget about the “Buy $20 or more of any 3Mâ„¢ Permanent Label and/or Post-it® Removable Label products by December 31, 2010, and receive a $10 rebate by mail.” offer.

  19. Sarah

Does money on your rewards cards expire?

  20. Laura

I am moving in a bit over a month and this plastic bins would come in handy.. small enough for the kids to pick up and move :- ) Thanks for the awesome deals… wonder if we can use that $ off coupons a few times..on diff visits to Office Depot

    • Anne

I used the coupon 3 times today. 3 separate transactions with same trip/cashier.

      • Laura

Awesome i’ll give it a shot, thanks!

      • Laura

Just thought i’d let you know this totally worked. I am so excited! I have about 8 bins now and will go back for more before promo is up. Thanks again for taking the time to reply!

  21. Sarah

Maybe this was already answered and I just didn’t understand, the rewards from this purchase are not received until the end of whatever the next quarter is? I want to by a printer THIS week and want to know if this could help offset the cost. I’m glad to see there is at least a coupon.

    • Priscilla

I don’t think the rewards will be available to spend until after the quarter ends (Dec. 31st) and then are awarded to be spent in February….there is an expiration to them, 90 days (I think but I’m not sure)

  22. Amy Morales

I made my first purchase on Sunday using my Worklife Rewards card. Four items I purchased are eligible for the full purchase back in rewards. Was I supposed to receive a gift card for the amount at the time of purchase? I checked my account online but it isn’t showing that I will get any money back for those purchases. How long does it usually take for it to show up?

    Thanks for your help.

    • Priscilla

the quarter ends, at end of Dec….so, it probably won’t be til Feb, before you can spend them.

  23. Eve

I bought about $200 worth of this 100% rewards stuff from office depot during this promotion — didn’t use any coupons. I just read the fine print at about $100.00 limit, and am not quite sure whether the limit is on the merchandise or the shipping credit. Does anybody know for sure? Collin seems to think that there’s a limit of $100 on merchandise. I hate to take things back.

  24. klester3705

I am REALLY hoping someone will read this and give me some insight. I, too, took advantage of this “so called” sale the week of Nov 14. My father and I both bought several things over several days. I went checking on the status of the rewards and neither one of us was credited for the purchases. The purchases included the freebies AS WELL AS ink. They are saying that NONE of our purchases that week qualify for the rewards because we used a “contract account”. I don’t even know what a contract account is!! I just used my own personal credit card. I’ve questioned missing rewards in the past but it didn’t amount to much so I didn’t pursue it thinking maybe I did something wrong. But, this is ridiculous! Just wondering if anyone else had problems with this promotion.

  25. klester3705

You know, I thought I would be okay and just return the items I have not used yet. But, guess what? 30 Day Return Policy on supplies!! Am I duped?
