Just wanted to update all of you on my Shop it to Me experience so far. I posted about Shop it to Me, a private shopping site that is offering up an awesome gift card promo, yesterday. Basically, you just refer 10 friends to Shop it to Me (all they have to do is sign up– which is FREE!) and you’ll score a FREE $10 gift card to a store of your choice (Amazon, Old Navy, Starbucks + more).

Thanks to many of you (my virtual friends), I can tell you that this offer is legitimate as I received an email this morning letting me know that I had qualified for a $10 gift card (I choose Starbucks…surprise, surprise 😉 ). After filling in my mailing info, it stated I would receive my gift card within 7-14 days. So….if you were hesitant about this offer, I can personally assure you that it appears to work. I will of course update you all when I receive my gift card in the mail.

Also, on another note, it states in the fine print that you can refer up to 1,000 friends– which means possibly lots of $10 gift cards! Feel free to leave your referral links in the comment section and let’s help one another out! 😀

Here’s how to get started…

* Go here and sign up.

* After doing so, click on the confirmation link they will send you via email. The link you click on will redirect you to a page where you can send friends invitations via email, Facebook or Twitter. Plus, you’ll be able to choose the FREE $10 gift card you would like to snag if you do in fact get 10 friends to register.

    Oh Shoot! I Would Have LOVED This Freebie Offer, But I’m In The 6th grade so most of my friends are the same age too. so they most likely won’t sign up..congrats to the older then me people…Hahahahahahaa

    I finally got 10 people to sign up! Woo Hoo! When you look on your profile page at the bottom, click where it says manage gift cards earned. Mine says~Congratulations! Thanks for spreading the word to your friends about Shop It To Me.

    We are currently processing your gift card. Check back in 24 hours to select your card. Hope it works! lol

    Has anyone heard anything else from this? I check my account and it says giftcard pending check back in 24 hrs which it has said for about a week now and haven’t gotten any emails except the daily shop emails.

    I have gotten 12 friends to subscribe. But it says i am only 1 friend away from getting the giftcard? I though you got the giftcard when you reached 10 friends. I keep inviting friends, and they keep subscribing, so the number keeps going up, and it STILL says i’m, only 1 friend away. Do you have any idea Collin; or anyone???????? Please helpppppp!!!

      I had the same thing happen and finally they responded back to me and I am not at all happy with what they said

      “Hi Bonnie,

      Thank you for your message. I just checked our system. Unfortunately, our system shows that a number of your email addresses look like they were not created for real/unique users and therefore do not fulfill the current rules of the promotion.

      Sorry, we have to limit signups to real friends or else we’d go out of business very quickly!”

      The problem is that the people who signed up are friends and family members of mine as I don’t post my referral link just anywhere (they say that is spam and against the rules)

      I have had my family members contact them individually and they still refuse to give me my card they just keep sending me this:

      “Hi Bonnie,

      Thank you for your message. We have a system that is able to detect when email addresses used are not for real/unique users. Unfortunately a number of yours showed up and therefore you’re disqualified from the gift card promotion. Sorry for any inconvenience and we hope you’ll continue to enjoy Salemail. Thank you for your understanding and Happy Shopping!
