The DG Welch’s grape juice .50/1 coupon states it is for the 64 oz. size. So I doubt it will work on the Sparkling grape juice 25 oz. product. Just a heads up.

    • Collin

Yep… looks like you’re right. Thanks for the heads up. I will go ahead and remove that deal.

      • Jenn

I don’t have any coupons for the veggies in all 4 sets of my rp from 8/29. 🙁

  2. nancy

what a bummer…i would stock up on veggies, but i used up all my coupons when they were on sale for .45 cents 😉 !

  3. Craig

Oh sweeeeeeeeeeet! Im part of the “list” for buying items for Gobble, Gobble day. This will come in very handy. And I can also get some extra for the homeless shelter too!

  4. mary

    Great to donate!!!!

  5. Brittaney

O yay!! I just hope when I go to get some that they won’t be all gone…that is usually my luck lol =)

  6. Mandi

Can’t find any q’s for veggies at thecouponclippers or ebay….any other suggestions?

    • Tasha

They’re on eBay, but this sale only goes until Tuesday, so the chances of ordering coupons and receiving them to use by Tuesday are probably slim to none–I’m in the same boat. I almost bid on an auction that’s just ending, but realized that they won’t be sent until tomorrow at the EARLIEST, and I doubt the mail will get them to me in only one day 🙁

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They are on ebay but in the auction only section 😉

  8. maria

i dont have those coups either in any of my 8/29 RP im in Jax,Fla.

    • Jenn

I am in Tampa and the coupons are not in mine either. 🙁

  9. Amber

I bought these last time they were on sale. When we opened them, they didn’t quite taste right though. The date said 2013, so I donated them. Maybe it was just us. 🙂

  10. Tammy

I will price match at Walmart. ; )

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

hmm sounds a good idea but i dislike the CSM Assoc. if the cashier doesn’t know how to price match… 🙁 and sometimes they wouldn’t let me use a coupon since we are price matching

  11. Shannon J

Local DG stores are having limit of 12 cans so I went to 3 stores and grabbed total of 36 cans. NOTE* cashier did 4 transactions of 3 cans. The register would not take coupons when all 12 cans were rang up together. So I did 4 transactions at each store. Paid $.04 cents each time. I have more coupons to use tomorrow. So glad I saved them!
School is having a food drive & we donate to local homeless shelter so this is perfect!

I stopped in at Dollar General today and the tag says 3 day sale (Sunday through Tuesday). I was planning on ordering coupons, but they wont get here before the sale ends. My paper did not have the Libby’s veggie coupon. Must be regional.

  13. Ashley

Stupid Dollar General…The manager only let me use one coupon because it stated “one per purchase” every coupon says that, not a fan of Dollar General!

  14. HappyCampers

    Ashley-
I always thought “one per purchase” meant that you could only use 1 coupon for the purchase of whatever product you’re getting…in this case, each set of 3 cans. I didn’t think it meant one per TRANSACTION, which is different.

Sorry you had to deal with that! I agree with the Walmart price match…they are great about taking coupons!

  15. Stacy

Is Libbys national? I looked at all my grocery stores when they had the free q and no-go.

  16. mb

our dg will not take the q if u get it free so i will ad match at target

  17. Heather

I used this last time my dollar general had this sale and they would only let me get 2 cans for free when I bought one. So .33 for 3 canas still not too bad. They have a sign posted no coupons that result in free merchandise. Also if they have a $5 coupon it is not off the top it deducts a little for each item so when you try to use additional coupons it wont let you some times.

  18. Sandy Crum

Thanks – A Brand New – Dollar General just opened last week 3 blocks from my house!

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just got 15 cans of veggies for .13cents!!
Aesome deal!!! Thanks for the head up!!

  20. Joyce

Wasn’t in my RP 8/29 issue either.

  21. Erin

Yep you have to do the veggie cans in separate transactions if you have more than one coupon. The registers beep and the cashiers don’t know what to do. Took me 20 minutes to check out and a huge line formed behind me 🙁

    • Carol

That’s what happened to me also. I had bought several cans of the different veggies offered and I had both coupons from the 8/29 inserts. I also had other stuff in my order so it wouldn’t even have been a $0 total, but the computer still would except more than one coupon scanned. The cashier read over the coupons and said there was nothing wrong with it, so she did them by hand since they refused to scan. A hugh line formed behind me and I offered to pay(partly from embarresment) but at that point the cashier was determined. Luckily another cashier opened. After it was all said in done I felt that woman needed to be referred for sainthood! For all my veggies and 3 deoderants it cost me $1.76 OOP. I felt soooo bad about the whole experience I plan on contacting corporate and the district manager because there was nothing about so many coupons per transaction or couldn’t get free things posted. I also looked up their corporate coupon policy online and there was still nothing barring it. I have to say I believe they have a bad coupon system in place and hopefully will have it fixed soon. Here is the link for the Dollar General coupon policy as of 11/5/10…. https://www.dollargeneral.com/OurStores/Pages/CouponPolicy.aspx
Hope that helps some of you. Sorry for the long rant but that was by far my worst coupon experience in the roughly 2 years of doing this. P.S. I did get the names of the women who so gracily helped me today and I will praise them to both corporate and the district manager when I get a hold of them.

I went to dollar general today and they would not let me use the coupons for this deal. After a long line had formes behind me and the cashier had called the manager they told me I couldn’t use the coupns because they can’t give away items for free. I tried to explain to them that they weren’t giving the veggies away for free because the manufacturer would pay for the coupon but the manager couldn’t have been older than 18-19 and I figured it was useless to push the argument. It stinks too because Dollar General is the only store in the area that sells Libby’s veggies so any Libby’s coupons I get I have to use at Dollar General. I’m going to try another Dollar General tomorrow but if they don’t take the coupons then I’m giving up.

same thing happen to me. I was using the $1 Gain Dish Detergent and was told that I could not purchase the item because DG does not accept coupons for “Free” items. I went on to say that in the coupon policy it states that only applies to printable “internet” coupons and the manager told me no it does not,it applies to all coupons. I got home and called Dollar General Corporate office and then received a call from the DM. I went on to explain the way that I understood the coupon policy and to DM told me that he would have to get back to me. Once he did, he told me that I was correct and that he would be explaining the coupon policy to all the store in my area, so that this will not happen again. He told me that I could go back to the same store and purchase the items without any problems and if I did, to to call him immediately. HTH

    • Patty

The very same thing happened to me today. The cashier just told me that they wouldn’t accept them because I was getting them free. I stood there and made a fool out of myself. The manager got involved. I asked her to show me the coupon policy. She fumbled around. I just got made and told her to take them off of my order. She then proceeds to adjust them and can’t so I just took all of my coupons and told her that I didn’t want any of it. The manager also proceeded to tell me that my coupon was fraudulent! She told me that someone actually came in and bought 12 and they couldn’t let me have them free! I just now looked up the coupon policy and it states that you can’t go in and use a coupon and get a free item so it is sorta confusing. I just went to another store and they were great and I got everything there! How frustrating! Many times, the people that use coupons have much more knowledge then the employees! I am still calling corporate to complaint! Thanks for letting me vent! 🙂

  23. RHONDA SATX

I was able to purchase 24 cans @ DG after 8 seperate transactions per: the manager and only paid a total $.14 due to one transaction actually shows them owing me $.02 😕 go figure. Then I headed over to Wal-Mart where I was able to score another 18 cans, but was able to do all in one transaction for a total of -$.06 OR $:0 OOP:) SO FOR 42 CANS OF VEGGIES I SPENT A TOTAL OF $.08 OOP!!! AWWWESOME. BIG UPS TO COLLIN AND THIS AWESOME DEAL I WILL NOW HAVE PLENTY OF VEGGIES ON HAND.

    OH MY GOSH!~~~~~~~
I found out yesterday that Dollar General had their Libby’s Canned Vegetables 3 for a dollar.
And I had saved my RedPlum from August Inserts. YIPPIE!~!!! That’s why you save them.
And the coupon in them was Libbys $1 off of 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I had a bunch of inserts because I have this really kind newspaper carrier that gives me her left overs.
    And….
so I bought 78 Cans of Vegetables for 78 CENTS!~

    OK OK….
I didn’t get them all at one Store.  They had a limit of 12.
But they did let me do 2 transactions at each store.
I wanted to leave some for the other folks, and I did.

    Now the Kicker is……………
We are having a food drive at work.  When we bring in 2 cans we get a Bingo Card
    or
a Raffle Ticket (which mine are all going in the Justin Bieber one.
    Wonder Why??????
    Cause My Granddaughter LOVESSSSSSSSSSSS HIM!~

And I know so many people in need of food.
    SO THERE YOU GO!!!!!

    GOD IS GOOD

  25. Kelly

Well like some of your other readers I did not have a good experiance today. I was told the “NEW” policy was that you could not get FREE product! I even ask the girl (after she calls up the Manager with a long line behind me) to scan the coupon just to see if it would take and it did on the first one (I was purchasing 9 total with 3 coupons plus other stuff) but the second one would not scan and she would not over ride. I had her take off 6 cans and just get the 3 the coupon worked on, but guess what when I got home??? They kept my one coupon and did not give the dollar off – so I will be emailing corporate and asking that they mail my dollar to me – since they will be submitting for reimbursement and I guess I will not be going to Dollar General for any more of my coupon purchases! I just don’t like getting treated like a criminal!

    • Jenn

I had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago. The cashier kept my coupons but only one actually scanned and was deducted from my purchase. I called their corporate # where I had to leave a message, but I don’t think they really cared!!! They are not a coupon friendly corporation.

  26. Vicki

DG has the Glade 4 oz. Winter Collection candles (reg. $3 ea.) for 3/$5, through Tues., 11/23. My store had a pad of coupons hanging above the display for $3 off 3 candles.
I was able to get 6 candles for $4 total!! The cashier told me she would have to ring it in two transactions because they could only take one of the same coupon in each. She was really nice about it. They also let me get 24 Libby’s, 12 in each transaction. A good day at DG for me!

    • Shelly T.

I went tonight too get the Glade candles. I had six candles and two coupons. I did not know that you could not use two coupons in one transaction and they told me I could only use one and did not offer to do a separate transaction. She told me it was because they were on sale that you could not use the coupon!! I had her take off three of the candles and I did not notice until I got home that the one coupon they told me I could use was not taken off. I guess I will going back tomorrow to get a refund or price adjustment. I have a feeling it is not going to be fun.

  27. Jenn

I have yet to have a good coupon experience at any of our local dollar general stores! They are not coupon friendly and apparently the store managers look at coupons as a hassle. Boo on DG!!

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

got mines today and had to pay only sales tax! i was going to a price match at walmart but i didn’t want to waste my time if they didn’t have it or any problems with the cashier. i was happy when the cashier saw the deal that i got so overall it was GREAT
