I’m pretty sure that is the same laminator I purchased at Wal-Mart for around twenty dollars. It does work really well though.

I was about to say the same thing! I just bought the same one at Target for $27. I think Amazon is exaggerating the price a little bit.

    • Sheila

Yeah, I got mine at Walmart for around 20 bucks too. GREAT product, would highly recommend!

    • momwhocares

me too – I have that laminator right here and I got it at walmart for $20 bucks. – but I guess $16.99 is stil lbetter – the laminator works great too.

  2. Christine

My mom is going to love this!!!

  3. Laury

I love laminators! They work great for check off lists. Just use a dry erase marker.

  4. Rebecca

I think I paid 29.99 for mine at walmart. I do like it, have not had any problems with it. The pouches are easy to find at my walmart so that is good too! but I don’t think it is an $80.00 laminator. at $16.99 I almost considered buying a second one for a back up though!

  5. Thanks for the deals

Thanks for the feedback. – after I thought about it – I did see these at walmart also.

  6. Gayla

I had already seen this Deal of the day and purchased it already with other items in my cart with my Amazon cards I received with my Swagbucks. 🙂

  9. Susan

Thanks you for the information! I just bought one! Can’t wait to get it!

  10. Sophie

I bought this laminator and I really like it. Unless you are needing something really heavy duty, this is perfect!

  11. Crystal

These are 25 at Walmart, but this is still a great deal. Teachers and education majors who have to create projects like file folder games and center activities could get a lot of use out of this product. A friend of mine has it and it works well for her.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you! I have had this in my cart at amazon for a while. It has been selling for $34 but I was hoping it would go down! I’m going to laminate preschool worksheets for my son to practice and I’m sure it will be used for a lot of other projects.

Does anyone know how long the lamination “cartridge” (dont know the word for it lol) lasts? How much are the refills? I would love to get one of these to make some flash cards for my 2 year old with real life pictures she can recognize better but dont want to spend 3 times as much on more lamination stuff as it costs for the machine!

    • katie vandiver

There’s not a cartridge. You just buy the pouches. I think it was around ten dollars for fifty regular size at Wal-Mart. I also bought some at sam’s that were a different brand (and not as thick) for twenty dollars for two hundred.

A little off the topic, but I ordered this a few months ago from Amazon when they had the $20 rebate when you bought the thermal pouches. I still haven’t received my rebate and was wondering if anyone has actually got the rebate. There was no phone number to call to check on it.

    • Kelly

Yea, I received my rebate months ago! I was surprised at how quick it came.

    • Tomoko

I was wondering about it too. I’m still waiting for the rebate to come.
      The laminator is great !

      • Anonymous

        where’s my rebate???? I’m still waiting for that too… : (
but glad to hear that Kelly got hers though.hope mine will be in mail box soon!!!

    • Kristen

      Same with me no rebate:(

      • Stacy

You can check your rebate at mycheckstatus.com , they received mine on 10/21 and it still says “in process”.

        • Miha

I forgot about this rebate until now. I just checked mine and it was in progress.

        • Anonymous

          Thanks,Stacy for great info!!!

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Saw this this morning also, and wasn’t sure who to give it to, or what to use it for? Grabbed one, I love the dry erase idea!!!!!!!!!! Guess I’ll give it to the kids ( so mom can use also , hehe)

  16. Millie

Costco has an awesome laminator w/ a 100 laminating sheets for around $17. I’ve bought 3 for gifts and myself. Have loved using it.

    • Laura

      I need a costco membership 🙂

    • Gina

Which brand is it ? Would like to check it out. Thanks.

      • Jata

Costco has the Purple Cows brand. It also comes with 100 pouches in 3 different sizes. $19

  17. Kimmy

I missed this the last few times it was on sale! I’m so glad I got it 🙂 Thanks, Colin! Patience is a virtue 🙂

  18. Michele H

Woo Hoo! I’m planning my wedding and I’m sure I’ll find 100 uses for this for all my DIYing!! Thanks!!

  19. Melinda

I have this laminator and I LOVE it. It is lightweight enough that I can take it to school or wherever. Also, if you have a Sam’s membership they sell the laminating pouches (not name brand, not Scotch brand-those are more expensive) in packs of 200 for less than $20. I am a teacher and it took me almost a whole year to go through even 1 pack of the pouches.

  20. Leslie

Thank you!!! I have been wanting of these. Watch out kids… the chore cards are going to be great!

  21. Sakura

Great price, I just bought one of these for $20 at Walmart. I love it and use it all the time!

  22. Melanie

I believe you posted an Amazon deal for this laminator in the past & I missed out because they sold out of them by the time I read the posting. Got one this time, thanks!

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got one of these during amazon deal of the day sale. + pouche +$20 rebate and with amazon code it came to be only $2. However, it takes along time to laminate anything thicker than regular piece of paper. Now that I have it I realized I don’t need to laminate that much.
    What does everyone else laminate?

  24. Jenny

Thank you! I’ve been waiting for a deal on this. Target does have them for $27, but $16 is much better!

  25. Barbara A. Pahutski

I bought this one through Amazon a few months back to use at school. It has held up well and I’ve never had a problem with it jamming.

  26. Lisa

Thanks for posting this deal. I tried getting one last time but they were already gone.

  27. Sara

    Amazing! Ordered yesterday, recieved today!
