A friend at work informed me tonight that Best Buy is giving people (presumably people who haven’t used their Reward Zone cards in a while) $15 or $20 certificates to use before Christmas. I hadn’t used my card in a while, so I logged on to my account and I did indeed have a $20 certificate! Expires December 25th. Merry Christmas to me! What a great deal! I hope you’ll be able to share this so some other people can be pleasantly surprised.
Let us know if you discovered a gift certificate in your account as well. Also, keep in mind that this offer appears to only be valid for existing members and not members that sign up today.

I had gotten an email letting me know about my $20 certificate… I am getting my hubby an iPod touch for Christmas and I needed to get him a case so I got a really good one for about $5 after my $20 discount!
There should be a cpn located in your rewards for a free case and earphones.
I am BB rewards member and I didn’t get one.
According to the 2nd rep I spoke with, you had to spend over $100 in one transaction after 11/7/2010 in order to qualify for the $20 gift certificate. Since I had made a purchase under $100 worth, I was awarded a $10 gift certificate, but only after I called twice. The first rep said that it was just random.
I created an online account today after seeing this post. There wasn’t a certificate on mine, however, like a couple others who have posted, I called customer service (1–888–BEST BUY) with my account info and told them that I heard there were certificates and I didn’t see any on my account. They didn’t question it, and I received $10! I asked when it would expire and they told me March! So I don’t even have to rush to use it. Thanks everyone. Love this site!!! I did have to wait about 20 minutes on hold, but worth it!
Can you post the numbers (instead of letters) for the CS?

I also called since we did not have on on ours and the guy was so nice and gave us a $20 plus a phone we got back in sept was not on the account so he put the points on there for that as well!! Not true. We use ours all the time and I still had one.

I am so happy I called LOL. At first she said we didn’t qualify then she told me she would give me 500 points for us to get the $10.00 cert. However I was having to hold while she was on the phone and talking to the kiddos about our trip to pump it up. I mentioned Groupon and she had no clue what that was so you knwo I just had to tell her 😉 She was so excited so I mentioned Hip2save.com and couponing and how I had started 3 months ago and that we were saving so much and how awesome you guys all are with helping etc. So she takes the info LOL then informs me happily I have 1,000 points now and a $20.00 cert and Merry Christmas and how excited she is to check this all out that it would help her family soooooo much. I was happy with the cert but even happier that I was able to pass the info along and be able to help her and her family:) So thank you Colin for having your wonderful site and for all that you do. I love being able to help my family and friends and that I can pass it to others as well.

I got hung up on once immediately after holding for 20 minutes, didnt even talk to a live person. Then called back 2 different times and finally got a 10 dollar certificate. I got different stories both times, and dealt with a VERY rude lady. Sounds like they are not on the same page, they are telling everybody different stuff.

The rep said there was a glich in the system and some people did not recieve theirs… so she issued a $20 one to my account and since it takes 5 days to post, the expiration date will be later! Yay! Thanks for posting this… it’s worth a call from anyone that has a Rewards Zone card, for sure!

To everyone who was able to get good customer service reps – you are super lucky – I got an extremely unhelpful agent who wouldn’t do anything for me not even re-issue my worn out key tag!

I did not have one in my account so I called and the lady I spoke to would not give me one. She said it was for customers that have not shopped with them in awhile. So since I just bought a new tv last month and a camera 2 months before I did not qualify! I do not agree with their marketing one bit! I asked So you are telling me if I were not to shop with you I get rewarded? Yes that is what they are telling me. Oh well, I am glad so many of you got your rewards!

We didn’t have one but I called and she said we should have qualified for a $10 based on our purchase history, but since it wasn’t there she would add 750 points to our account for a $15 certificate that will be good until April! 🙂 Thank you!!!

It is quite possible I have not purchased anything since 2007 because I have been busy in nursing school. Logged into BB RZ and there was $20 waiting for me…thank goodness I looked here because I it is another email account I do not check regularly. Thanks so much for posting. I would never have checked & there was a $10 certificate waiting for me. It expires on 12/25. I have used my card this year but no where close to $100 so not sure what info other people are hearing.
My husband and I both got the $20 certificates. I finally got the blender I was too cheap to buy myself with that and some cds for me, me, me!!!! Merry Christmas to me!!! Of course I did two different transactions to make sure I could use them.
