I was just looking at the comments in the Rite Aid weekly deals post and noticed this comment made by reader, Kenac:

Went this morning and purchased 4 progresso soup on sale 2/$3 and had a $1/q on 4.
and received 4 “mystery” $1 up rewards making them 4/ $1 …..not sure how long this will last.

So if this awesome deal works for you, it should go something like this…

*Buy 4 cans of Progresso Soup on sale 2/$3
Total = $6
Use the $1/4 coupon found in the 12/5 General Mills coupon insert or here
Pay $5
Get back 4 $1 +Up Rewards
Final cost only $0.25 per can!

Come back and let us know if this works for you.

I saw the comment and tried it this morning. Worked like a charm! Thanks for everything 🙂

  2. Bobbie

we also have 2 .50/2 vv coupons for progresso soup I think.

  3. Heather

I would try it but since it is blizzard conditions outside, I will enjoy all the soup and hot chocolate we have in our pantry thanks to Colin’s awesome posts! 🙂

  4. Lynzee H

If anyone still has the safeway coupon booklets from thanksgiving there was $1.00 off 2 in them for any flavor progresso 🙂

  5. Jill P

wow nice deal.. if i can get there tomororw i may have (even w/o the q) .50 per can is a good deal) 🙂

  6. Christa

There’s a $1/2 cans of Progresso January VV which would make them FREE after Up Rewards. 🙂

  7. Barbara A. Pahutski

I hope this works for a few days…we’re getting snowed in here in MD! If you were able to get the Safeway booklets (the big Thanksgiving q book-I don’t think they’re out any longer) they had $1/2 any flavor Progresso soups (exp 12/31/10)-so potentially FREE after q and UPs…please update if this deal goes dead-thanks!

    • LEIGH ANNE

Me too Barbara!! i’m in WV and it’s really pouring. I will be trying to go tomorrow though.

    • Angela

Where abouts in Maryland do you live? I am by Solomons. I was out in that awful weather today.

      • Brandi

I’m near Baltimore and we’ve only gotten a few inches or less.

  8. Emily

I would go try this if it wasn’t a blizzard! 🙂 But the thing is, with a lot of these mystery up rewards, they get canceled right after they’re on mommy blogs. 🙁

    • Erin

Really? I thought they would start discontinuing some deals a la CVS, but every one I’ve tried worked like a charm–Halloween candy, Planters nuts, tape, fishing games. I’ve been pretty impressed so far.

  9. Ling

bought 5 folgers coffee for 2.88, used my houseparty q’s for 1.50 and got back 5 1up too that said for the purchase of food snacks. coffee for 38 cents each!

Is anyone else having problems with the Video Value site? Every time I watch a video it makes me sign in, it’s VERY frustrating!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am having the very same problem for months, and can’t figure it out. I go in circles and my points never go up . Adperk said something about enabling my cookies, did everything they said and it didn’t work-

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Watch one video and then type in the letters and numbers “confirmation” code, it will tell you to log in. Log in on THAT page and it will keep you logged in.

        • Jamie

          still isnt working. 🙁

      • Leigh Anne

I was using RockMelt as my browser when I started having this problem. I went back to Firefox and it seems to be working fine now. Not sure if that will help you at all.

        • Jamie

yes that did work!! Thank you for the advice! I will be all ready tomorrow to get my soups now 🙂

    • ba

Had to reapply, very fustrating, new account works beautiufuly, thankfully I printed out last months

  11. Andrea

I’m having the same problem and can’t get to any of my saved coupons. I’ve never had a problem before.

  12. Kathleen

I hope this is going on tomorrow. As others, I am in blizzard weather right now. My son LOVES Progresso soup and it would be awesome to be able to stock up at such a good price.

  13. kenac

    Hope it works for everyone!

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I saw that comment this morning and tried it and it did NOT work in Denver, CO. May be a regional thing?

    • kenac

strange thing is the 2/$3 sale was not in my sale flyer, but it was in the flyer at the store

  15. tyler

    Hi all-
Just wanted to let everyone know there is also a video values coupon for Progresso- $1 off 2 which makes an even better deal!

  16. Tawanda

It’s working in NOLA! Just returned from a test run. Does anyone know what if there is a limit on the number of UPs?

    • Angela

No limit. I bought tons with ups printing for all of them.

      • Tawanda

        Thanks for the update Angela.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

only 26 coupons will print at the end of your receipt. if you do more than 26 …nothing will print! it happened to me twice…now i count how many ups are going to print , i dont go over 25…because sometimes another q may print also….

  17. christa

  29. lvmusic3

Just did the soup deal with a $4/1 mq and the $1/2 vv q. Got 4 cans free!! Thanks to Kenac (who happens to be my awesome brother!)

    • kenac

      yaaaaaaaaay!

  30. Kelley R.

There doesn’t seem to be a limit on this; it worked fine this morning in OR. The UP reward only prints on certain varieties, however. Traditional definitely prints, and possibly the light variet, though I couldn’t tell for sure. Thanks for the heads up!

    • vaylene

i got some of the light variety and they printed for me.

    • Tawanda

I purchased traditional chicken noodle, hearty chicken noodle and New England clam chowder and I received my ups. Going to go back for some more later tonite.

  31. Kathleen

I talked to the manager at my local Rite Aid before doing this deal. She said no one really buys them so I could have however many I want without them getting upset. So I ended up buying 24 cans in 3 different transactions. I got UP+ rewards on all of them. I even got 3 cans for free. The “light italian style vegetables” are the ones that rang up free. No one knew why and they went with it. SWEET deal. Thanks to Collin and whoever posted this in the first place.

  32. Bridgette

It worked for me here in New York! i was skeptical so I only bought4 to see if it would work and used my $1.00 off coupon! Cool!

  33. Jamie

There was a yellow tag on the progresso soups in my store in Maine advertising the $1 +up. So it is absolutely legit! I bought 4 using the coupon collin posted and the VV. 4 cans for 50 cents! Planning on going back tomorrow for more- even without the VV, you cannot beat 25 cents a can!

    Thanks for posting!

  34. Jo-Ann

Worked here north of San Francisco. The cashier said she loves this soup and was impressed when she saw the UPs print out. 🙂

  35. Rosanna

I went back to snag some more of this awesome deal, and my +ups didn’t print. My mom went two hours earlier to the same store and hers all printed out. My friend went right behind me, and hers didn’t print out either.

  36. April

I went about an hour ago and bought 24 cans all the ups printed and the “light italian style vegetables” also came up free for me. I used every progresso soup coupon I had this soup is so expensive!!!
I had an issue with my up rewards not printing once, it was enough that I asked and the manager eneded up giving me a gift card for the amount that should have printed in up rewards.

  37. Jessica

Tried this deal in NC yesterday and I didnt get any UP rewards! I did the deal just like it says! Bummer…

  38. Heather

    Still working today! 🙂

  39. jewel

still working for me today. I bought 12 cans and got a $1 up for each!

  42. SandraNYC

worked for me a couple of hours ago in NYC, btw – the high fiber variety is also included in the $1 +Up reward…sweet!

  43. l morocco

just got back and it worked great, even go the Light Italian Veg one free…

  44. Heidi

Did anyone notice that the +ups that print don’t expire until FEB. 5th?!!!!!!! Woohooo!

  45. Samantha Booker

I couldn’t believe it worked for me!!! My husband and I each have Wellness + cards, so I tested by buying 4 on each card using one $1/2 VV coupon and and one $1/4 coupon from the 12/5 insert. When all 8 of the +Ups printed, I went to another store and bought 16 more using the $1/4 printables!!! There were still quite a few left on the shelves and we will have a nice stash for winter! I did notice that one of the High Fiber soups rang up at 3.19, so I had the cashier take it off; not sure if it would qualify for the +Up, but I wasn’t going to pay that much regardless!

  46. Deborah

Collin, thanks so much for this post! Over the past 2 days, my husband and I had access to 3 computers and printed out our 2 copies each of 2 different Progresso coupons that are out there, and we had a number of paper coupons from circulars as well. We printed out our one copy of the Video Value coupon that one of the commenters figured out, and then we visited a series of Rite Aids in our large metro area. Ultimately we did this deal 19 times over two days, being careful not to wipe out the inventory at the stores, rolling our +ups and using other ones we had. The result: we have collected about 75 cans of soup to donate to our local food pantry. On top of it all, these soups counted toward the new Rite Aid resolution rewards program, so we earned our $20 resolution reward over these two days — making everything effectively free after that reward. We are so delighted to be able to stretch not only our family budget but also our charity budget — this donation was made possible due to you and the alert Hip 2 Save posters who found the deal and tested it out! Thanks to all!

  47. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks! Purchased the soups earlier and still worked. 4 $1 UP+ printed.

  48. Sarah

I bought 8 cans of Progresso, used two $1/4 man. coupons, 1 $1 +Up and my $5 holiday gift of savings, paid $4 and earned EIGHT $1 +Ups! Plus $12 counted toward my 100. Thanks, Collin! My DH has a cold and was thrilled when I came home with $.25 cans of chicken soup.
