I just got an email from reader, Daphnie, regarding an awesome clearance deal she was able to score at Target! She found the Baby Alive Simple Care For Me dolls on clearance for just $4.77. Plus, she was able to use the $5/1 coupon found here (will have to be adjusted down) to get a doll for FREE!
If you find this doll at your local Target and it’s not marked, make sure to do a price check and see if it rings up for less. Also, if you’re able to score this deal, make sure to come back and let us know what store location you found the doll at.

i have been to 3 targets in palm beach area….none are on sale…bummer…maybe it will happen before the coupons expire!

I was at the one in Canton, GA and the toys were only 30, Christmas 50
Same for Colorado Springs yesterday, although dot spot had the pink dot items at 75% off.
Toy clearance sale (goes to 75%) is typically the 3rd thursday after Christmas, although last year it was a week late.
Here in Tallahassee, FL it was 75% off today
Here in Orlando, FL (Hwy 27 & I-4) the seasonal Christmas and pink dot Dollar Spot items were 75% off, including a bunch of non-Christmas board books. I got some red, green and pink striped and circles wrapping paper for $0.50-$0.65 (great for my daughter’s birthday), plain red snack size paper plates for $0.75 and a cute white teddy bear pillow for next Christmas for $2.50. The Bounty snowflake napkins rang up full price and I couldn’t find any holiday Ziplocks or paper towels.
The toys were still at 30-50% off.
Same here, toys were still 30% off at my Targets and holiday was 75% off. I grabbed some cute Disney socks for my kids from the dollar bins for 25c a pair and a big roll of non-holiday specific wrapping paper (for birthdays and what not) for 75c 🙂
We went to target yesterday and the toy dept was a total disaster – you couldn’t tell what was on clearance and what wasn’t!! We did however score HUGE – we found a hailfire droid star wars remote control vehicle for $24.99, which was marked down from $65.99! My son was super happy to find that and use a gift card from Christmas!
They had them at my Target for $6 and some change when I was there yesterday. (Eastlake area of Chula Vista, Ca)

We’re in central Nebraska and we had our first snowfall over the night – not much has fallen but our temps are around Zero with high wind gusts. It is miserable to be here in the winter because of the wind! Missing Texas…..

I was just going to post the same thing…I saw it for $5 at my walmart before Christmas and I put it in my cart before. I quickly realized that if I bought that doll for anyone their parents would hate me…all it does is bounce up and down and giggle.

What do U mean?
I don’t know about this particular doll, but some baby alive dolls eat food that makes them really pee and poo…therefore causing the inside to rot and mold if not cleaned treally well and often. However, my daughter got another style baby alive that eats “fake” food and does not go potty…just talks and the fake food retracts on the spoon making it look like she ate it. I do not know which this doll is.
This reminds me of a story that my brother always tells people about the time I fed him the Baby Alive food. It was powdered and you added water to it. My only defense is that I was 8 years old. LOL
I got my daughters the bounce and babble dolls there is no mess…they just bounce up and down and make cute baby noises…my daughters love them.
This doll only bounces when you hold her hands.

You just have to flush it out with warm water & vinegar, it solves that problem! LOL

I just called two different Target locations, one was sold out. The other location had them, but not the price stated…the African American doll was on clearance for $12.something and the caucasian doll was full price.

Yes my Target had the African American doll for $6.22 and caucasian full price… I asked why they were not all clearance and he said demand…really… I left the coupons on the african american doll and some lady was deciding between the 2 her daughter in cart..I explained the price difference she bought the african america doll 🙂 .
This is a manufacturer’s coupon that expires on 1/15/11. So you’ve got a little bit of time to look for it. Maybe Wal Mart will have it.
With the Hasbro “rebate”, purchase $20 of Hasbro toys and get a toy free (see website), you could get several of these dolls for free and a free toy. If you don’t need that many toys, consider donating to a shelter. All for no cost at all – now that’s smart couponing!
Nice way to look at it! Love the giving attitude! I have 4 boys, but thought maybe this would be a fun gift or something. I find them annoying, but giving to a shelter is a great idea!

The rebate items I believe have to be bought after Christmas 12/26/10
On the bottom of the rebate form it says it cannot be combined with coupons, so its totally worth a shot, but if they see the coupons on the receipt, then they may not send the extra toy.
I was going to check this deal out until I remembered going to Target shopping for Christmas gifts, heading down the doll isle and ALL these dolls starting going off!! Scared me to death! They have a mind of thier own. I can see my cats setting this off during the night. NO thanks…. lol!!
Our Target was 75% off yesterday… i made a huge haul. I bought party favor gifts for my 4 and 6 year old bday parties coming up. Some of that stuff was like .25-.50! Going to see if they have the doll today!

Christmas is 75% off at the Target in Bountiful. I am not buying one roll of wrapping paper until it drops to 90%. The doll was full price and no sign that it will go on sale at all. I wish they had an african american doll, I would have totally snached it up! They had all the pepridge farm cookies on sale for $.84! And I got some for free using coupons from PF website. It will make great snacks!

I scanned one at my Target and it came up as $24.85 adn the shlf said $19. I didn’t bother asking anyone. I wasn’t going to buy it for myself anyways. I figured if it was free it would be a good toy to snatch up for toy donations next year =)

My baby got this doll for christmas n its not annoying at all! Once u swith it to the on position u have to squeeze her hands for her to go off. Its really cute, n no this doll does not eat, pee, or poop. She’s probably clearanced because it was a hot toy for christmas that was overstocked.

It looks like this coupon should be good on at least a few different dolls. This is from Hasbro’s website:

Just so everyone knows you can use this coupon on any baby alive simple care for me doll. Just look for the little heart on the box that says “Simple care for me”, or something like that. I just used one of these coupons for Christmas. Really cute dolls. 🙂

long shot I am sure–but if anyone finds this for free and doesn’t need it, I would pay for shipping to my house (probably $6-7) because my daughter fell in love with this doll when we were wrapping a bunch of toys to donate to a low income apartment complex, but I was already finished shopping for her for Christmas. Went to Target today and they only had the black ones on clearance. I asked and they said that they would not honor the clearance price for the white ones. Hmmmm somethings wrong here.

I’ve noticed that a lot with dolls. Our Walmart had a ton of the Hispanic Baby Alive dolls (I don’t remember if it was this one or not though…) on clearance but not the other races. Try not to be offended, as someone said it’s about supply and demand, no different really than when a certain scent or flavor of a product goes on clearance and the rest of the varieties don’t.
Why does the race matter? If you wouldn’t buy the African American doll then there’s your answer why one is on sale and the other one isn’t. Supply and demand.
I went to 2 targets in the central valley, California. And one store had not a single baby alive doll there and the second had the caucasian at full price and african american dolls at 30%. Most of the toy department is 15-30% here… but Christmas at one store had 50% and the other 75% so I was able to score some good things for next years christmas.

I agree. I bought my daughter an African American doll for Christmas, I don’t see what the problem is. If my Target had any on sale I would take advantage of this deal in a heart beat no matter what the race was.
I agree! I bought one for my daughter today for $2.50, and we’re as pasty white as you come! Who cares? It’s never too early to start teaching tolerance and appreciation.
I’d buy either one, accept the lowest price I saw was still over $12.50. Not a great bargain yet.
I went into my local Target to look for these dolls. I found the dolls that look like the picture but the name of the doll on the coupon and the one that target actually carries is different. It looks like the exact doll but the names are different. I noticed on the bottom corner of the coupon that it says that the doll is available at walmart. I’m so confused…lol

I just got home from my Target on Power/Ray in Gilbert, AZ. They had the African American dolls for $6.22 and the Caucasian ones for $24.99. I asked if there was a reason, and the toy guy said that it was because there were 15 of the first one in the store and 2 of the other. Makes sense…the one I got looks more like my daughter anyway. But $1.66 is an amazing deal for this doll! I can’t wait to see my daughter’s face when she is bouncing in the Easter Basket in a few months!!! 🙂 Thank-you!!!!!!!

The African American doll was priced at $9 and some cents in Altoona, PA. I left the coupon there under one of them for someone to hopefully use. 🙂 Since I already have one of these dolls for my daugher, I didn’t need another one.
