Just like I said in the Walgreens post earlier today, there are clearance bargains everywhere! So with that being said, I’ve heard word from more than a handful of you that Target has started marking down their toys 75%! Plus, I’ve gotten additional emails regarding lots of other Target clearance finds from Christmas to bed and bath items… and more! This is definitely the time to start shopping for Christmas again… buy it now and stash it away! Never pay retail for presents again! 😀

Check out the emails I’ve received from a few readers:

I noticed my local target marked many toys to 75% today, the hang tags still read 30% but tags were accurate. I paid under $95 for toys that the original retail was over $405. Just a heads up! Two of my “big” scores were the U-Command Buzz Lightyear for $24.98 down from $99.99 and a 120 wooden train set for $11.74 down from $44.99.

Yesterday I went to Target in Mansfield, OH and all the Christmas items still left were 90% off! If that wasn’t good enough, I bought 10 stockings, each originally $4.99 now .49! Well they were all pushed to the side and I didn’t buy them for the actual stocking, I bought them for the 20 FREE 4X6 prints coupon @ Target inside the stocking good through March. I basically got 10 stockings and 200 prints for $5!! The stockings were for pets but I’m going to see if I can turn them into gift stockings for Christmas this year! Happy shopping 🙂

I was at Target tonight and in the beauty section they had Olay and Dove gift packs marked down to $4.48. I used a $2 off of Olay body wash coupon and got one for $2.48. It included a full-size body wash, a full-size lotion, a bar of soap, and 2 razors. They also had Axe gift sets for $6.48, and Burt’s Bees sets for $9.99 and $12.99.

They are slowly starting to mark down the toys at Target now! I picked up this Circo 120 piece wood train set with drawbridge, originally priced at $42.99, for only $10.74! It was marked $30, but I price checked it and couldn’t believe my eyes!

I found the Medela Freestyle Hands-Free Breast Pump for only $265 at Target. It’s regular price is $379 and it is like the Cadillac of Breast Pumps. I also saw some Carter long sleeve 3 pack onesies for just $3. A lot of other baby stuff on some pretty steep clearance.

Today I went to Target to find toys marked down from 30% off to 50% off. While I was checking out the selection, a fellow shopper told me the Target in her neighborhood was down to 75% off! So we immediately headed over!!! I was able to score a 12 piece Littlest Pet Shop for $7, a building Thomas toy for $5, the Thomas Round-about for $10, Strawberry Shortcake and Polly Pocket sets for $7.50, and tons of Toy Story deals, including a game marked down to $5 with a $5 off peelie on it!!! I know everyone’s Targets will be on different schedules, but the 75% off clearance has started!!!!

Target has started to clearance their toys – a lot is even 75% off already!! I only bought 75% off toys and came back with tons. Retail Value of toys in picture: 436.25. Paid: 82.45!

(Thanks, Lisa, Michelle, Marie, Libby, Show Me How You Do That, Beth, Audrie, Sarah, and all you other readers who took the time to email!)

Now it’s YOUR turn… what clearance treasures have you scored at Target?! Let us know!

        • Ashley

          • Jennifer

            They do!!

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did pretty well myself today at Target. I picked up three Polly Pocket sets (2 Banana Boat and 1 Electropop World Convertible) for $1.26 each. While there, I wandered over to the 90% off Christmas section and got three Thomas & Friends Holiday Thomas trains. One large train for $.99 and two smaller trains for $.60 each!

  4. Katie

Toys in Orlando are still at 30% as of tonight 🙁

    • Nicole B.

I’m in Orlando, too! Winter Springs really but close to Orlando. Nice to have someone else from my neck of the woods here 🙂

    • Sara

I am in Orlando, too. Our Clearance isn’t that low here either. I couldn’t get the free baby doll and the buzz is still $50. 🙁 I want that thing for my son so bad! I was just at the one in Waterford and the toys were 50% off.

  5. Miranda

out Target cleared out of toys at 30% as well. They do still have a few select items here and there throughout the aisles but nothing is ever marked correctly at our Philly store, good thing people provide pictures, I know what to keep an eye out for!!

  6. Kolina

I am going to check this out tomorrow. Hope I can get some good deals.

  7. Mary

I did find 3pk of Scotch Magic Tape for .30ea yesterday, a pair of jeans for $12.50, Glade Christmas Candles for $1.48ea and a bunch of organization items in the dollar spot. I also price match some Welch’s juice for $1ea (after coupon).

    • Keely

Hi Kara, were the toys at 75% off yet? I was thinking about making a trip this weekend to see what is left. Thanks for the help!

    • Lighthousefam

Yeah I’m curious about the toys too. I might just stop by after class. I wish we had a 2nd target….we have 2 of everything else! lol

  11. Tara

I went to two Targets today. Hampton, Va and Newport News, Va. I spent $120 and saved $270. The Target in Hampton was only 15, 30 and 50% off, but the Target in Newport News was 75%! There was plenty to choose from and we got some great deals!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Tara. My dear son goes to W&M. I love Newport News area. Maybe we can exchange emails and you can tell me where the good eating spots are in the area by his college.

      • Tawanda

        Hey Valerie,
I went to W&M, ’91, and I have a cousin there now. Maybe we can exchage emails, ta_mc@live.com and they find each other!

    • Tawanda

      Hey Tara,
I grew up in Va Bch, and I return in the summer to visit family. It’s great to see a Virginia gal!

    • Tawanda

      Hey Tara,
I grew up in Va Bch, and I return in the summer to visit family. It’s great to “see” a Virginia gal on H2S!

I went to my Target today & they were SLOWLY marking some toys down to 75% off. I bought the Olivia doll house & a Batmobile w/ Batman & other figurenes for $7.48 & a Ni Hao tea set for $3.50. I paid $19 normal retail $75!! I look forward to do a lil more retail therapy tomorrow.

  13. megan

my target (north dallas) just marked toys down to 50% today. the person doing the marking said they wouldn’t go to 75% for another couple weeks. does that sound right? i am dying. i am affraid it will go next week. i will be on vacation and my husband will kill me if i try and coupon on our vacation!

    • Christine C.

The Target in Plano has started to mark their toys 75% off. Not all, but a lot…

      • megan

yeah mine had their paper craft thingys ( i don’t know the real name. can you tell? ;)) at 75% but that was it. honestly i don’t really need any more toys. my kids have way to many but it’s just so tempting.

      • Stephanie

Which Target in Plano? This is so exciting!!!!

    • Brit

don’t worry, i’ll find the Olivia thing for you when I’m there while you’re on vacation!

      • jermaine

Yeay North Dallas representing on Hip2Save! Im in North Dallas by the George Bush Tollway, glad to see theres other Texan shoppers here. I went to the Target in Carollton, I didnt check toys but Xmas was 75% off and it was lame stuff left over.:(

Kind of Off Topic but has anyone checked Walmart yet? I checked mine on Marsh Lane and all they had was lame too and to make matters worse they had christmas stuff that wasnt ringing up 75%!

  14. Heather

I picked up the Pixar Cars Christmas pack for $7.48, marked down from $30. Zippy Hooray!

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got my 8 packs of Eveready Batteries for Free today, using the $1 coupons. I also got some Richard Scarry Hard Cover books in the $1 section and a lovely baby receiving blanket for $2.50. Never thought to glance at the toys.

    • Danielle

Those EverReady batteries die very, very quickly. I purchased some right before the holidays and in 2 of the toys that they were placed in I have already replaced the batteries. FYI, not sure free is worth it on those ;-).

  16. Joy

Seriously, who has money left after Xmas to even buy clearance toys? LOL. Certainly not me. I can barely afford groceries this week. 🙁

    • Mary

Well, if you follow this website for next christmas, you will have $$ after x-mas! I cleaned up at several rite aids where toys were 75% off. I now have all the birthday presents that I need for the YEAR. I bet alot of ppl buying these presents are already thinking about xmas and saving these toys for then. Planning, Planning, Planning will help you have extra $$ next year!

      • Marie M

Exactly! I had toys for Christmas for both kids that I bought last January and July at 75% off and I had some left over to donate.

      • Cappy

Seconded. We have a walk in closet in our space bedroom and I have a bookshelf in there with little baskets where I keep spare gifts that I have gotten at 75% off, or more. Rite Aid had those water fountains with rocks for $1.50 each, and Emerson hair clippers and a wet/dry shaver for $2.50. These are great to donate to our church with they have their Christmas drive for the needy at our church.

You never know when my husband is going to come home from work and say he needs a gift. I just send them to the gift closet. I don’t spend more than $10.00 on anything in there and I also have great gifts for upcoming birthdays and next Christmas already started. I keep a note pad in there as well to keep track of what was spent, so my stockpile does not get out of control, and so I am not buying things, just to buy them.

Just at Target alone this week, I spent $23.00 and saved $98 with coupons and 1/2 off sales or more on toys and such. An added Bonus that my husband works at Target so I get the heads up when things might so on sale.

    • patti kaiser

same here!!!!!! still awaiting payday then hope to have some extra left over to shop the clearance sales. I did start my shopping very early last year, we almost have to do it througout the year with a one income budget. The end of the year kills us with extra bills like vehicle insurance, bdays, you name it! From Oct on is hard for us. Always glad to see January arrive! Couple more weeks will be hitting Childrens Place outlet in Burbank OH, stock up on winter clothes for my kids for next winter. That right there is an awsome sale to hit!!!!!!

      • Joy

        Patti,
I’m glad someone else can sympathize about not having any extra $$ at end of year and beginning of year. In years past, I have been able to do a small scale gift closet when things have been on clearance. But the last six months have been especially hard with no wiggle room for extras. All at once we were hit with some large bills that ate into our emergency savings (flooded basement, doctor bill not being covered by insurance, unexpected vehicle repair, property tax due, etc.). Plus, I have not been working many hours at my part-time job because of sick kids, snow days and half days of school. 🙁

I tried to do some deals before Xmas to save money. I even sold some of my gold jewelry to pay for Christmas. I didn’t have the luxury of buying stuff online (trying not to use credit cards so we can get out of debt).

The good news is that my boys really don’t need anything except new boots and new lunchboxes (couldn’t afford new ones in Sept) right now. Now if only if those would go 75% soon. LOL. I’m trying to count my blessings and be thankful for the stuff we do have because I know things could be much worse.

  17. laura

This is not the typical week for Target toys to be marked down, so don’t get upset if your store isn’t. Sounds like a select few marked SOME toys down. I checked our store just because I was alread y there. There VERY few things marked down to 75%. Mostly paperoni and a few pixos things. I didn’t see much else.

    • Angela

      When is the typical week?

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

next week or the week after depending on which day of the week Christmas is on.

  18. Liz

The target I shop at in Colorado Springs had their toys down to 35% yesterday and their Christmas stuff at 75%. I got the Fisher Price Play My Way activity center for $34, originally $50, strand lights for .50 a box, a ornaments for .45 and a picture frame for $3. It was fairly picked over but I still managed to find some cute stuff.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Is that the one off Powers or Academy? I was thinking of going to one of those to check tomorrow.

      • Vanessa

I checked the one on Union and Academy yesterday and they were still 75% on holiday and a few toys at 50%.

      • Liz

I went to the one off Powers and and N. Carefree. They had tons of toys when I went there on Tuesday, but they were marked at 30 to 35% off. I’m curious to see when they will start marking them down to 75%.

  19. Nicci

Oh, my goodness!! I’m practically giddy about this!! I’ll be hitting Target first thing in the morning. I’m so excited I don’t know if I can sleep!

    • rblondish

me too me too. I am off work tomorrow so TARGET first thing in the am:) Fingers crossed for 75% off.

  20. Mitch

Yesterday I found the $120 Atlantis Lego 50% off. Others were only 30% off, I can wait!
Candy was 90% off and they had tons of M and M’s. This was my 3rd Target store in a week, they all had different items and discounts.
    Thay keep me coming back!
    thanks
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

  21. lms1983

Our Target’s clearance isles do not look ANYTHING like that! Ours is a complete disaster and you literally have to DIG through to find anything.. and its still between 30 and 50% off. I don’t think they’ll EVER clearance to 75.. I seen them packing up clearanced christmas stuff and putting it in their back room. 🙁

  22. Amie

IM a Mansfield shopper too : ) Headed there tomorrow to try to score some great buys. Thanks for the heads up.

  23. Ali

My mom went for me today while I was at the doctor 🙂 She snagged me some GREAT deals in the baby section! Bibs for .27 cents, socks /bibs combos for .49 cents, and some 5-pack crawlers for 3.98! I will def be heading there tomorrow to check out the rest of the deals!

  24. Marie M

Austin TX has 75% off at 183 & Braker.

    • Teresa B.

Austin, Tx Target on Brodie Ln. had 90% off Christmas and 50%-75% off lots of toys.

  25. Kelly

I picked up a couple LEGO sets originally $100 for $25!! I also bought a lot of Paperoni kits for 75% off because my son likes to make them for family members, some pixo sets, Toy Story 3 train originally $40 for $10, Thomas Set regularly $20 for $5, and a few other things. From the Christmas section I picked up a ton of marshmallows and used the Target coupons found on Target’s website and paid next to nothing and got a few cans of frosting for free using the $1 off coupons I had. I need to check and see if I have cake mix coupons and maybe I’ll go back tomorrow.

  26. Anonymous

As of Tuesday my Target (Mobile, Al) was at 30% off still. 🙁

  27. babs919

Chicago north side the location on north broadway only 30% and 50% off on most toys. A few toys higher percentage off go the $49.99 fisher price mommy doll with the trike, table and bed for $12.48. Christmas is 90% some things left but not much. I will check again next Thursday.

    • MommySpendsLess

Oh I was eyeing that for my daughter’s second birthday but it was still at $25 last I looked. I hope ours are marked down that low (and there’s still some left)

  28. ciera bunch

I didnt read all the comments so i dont know if anyone else posted this or not. But I went to Target and got 4packs of Uno cards for free! They were priced at 4.99 and inside was a $5 off coupon for any matel gamecard set. I just grabbed the Uno (its all I saw) but check it out to see if there are other games you can get too 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I saw those the other day – did you buy one then open one and do multiple transactions? Or?

      • ciera bunch

I actually just opened them got the coupon out and purchased them all at once. the lady was super nice. if you get a grouch then maybe do multiples. Oh and I forgot to mention that the box had “$5 off coupon inside” written on it, so something to look for.

    • Christine

That’s cool. I tried to buy one Uno card set for $1 (as it is advertised in their ad). But they were out of the “anniversary edition” and wouldn’t honor the $1 for the other Uno cards or give me a rain check. Boo. I’ll check for the coupon next time.

      • laureen

they are going on sale next week at walgreens. At my job (walgreens) we had a whole display with maybe about 30. Go in saturday to see if the ad is activated if you still want some.

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Our Targets here in So Cal are still at 30% with some things at 50% even though nothing is marked 50% The Christmas stuff has hit 90% off and is basically gone! FYI – I’ve scored some sweet deals on dog toys marked at 75% off and then today 90% Just look on the dog aisle and I was paying 29 cents up to 99 cents for great doggie toys. I don’t think anyone was really looking there. I also scored some amazing Christmas candles. I went to customer service and asked about them (at my checkout girl’s suggestion) and the manager said ok and marked them down to 90%!!! They were the nice Christmas scented candles in glass jars with wooden lids that were marked at $19.99 and $12.99 🙂 Original price just over $135.00 paid $13.50ish 🙂

    • Anh

I’m in SD and my Target was picked over not much left at all and toys are not marked down to 50% yet.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am in the So Cal area as well and toys are at 50% off. They had tons of toys still at the Target I went to, but it was MESSY! I was able to spot 4 Sanrio plush toys for $5, originally $20.

  30. molliebickett

Does Target price adjust clearance items you have bought in the same week??

    • Marie M

No! Target will not price adjust clearance items AT ALL.

  31. Darlena

    What about Cleveland, Ohio area?

    • Crystal

I was in the North Olmsted Target yesterday and they had a lot at 30% and 50%, but nothing at 75% yet. I’m going to check again in a couple of days because I definitely saw a few things I’d like to pick up if they go a little cheaper.

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went to the one at Chino, S. cal. Most items are 30% off, some are 50% off. I found a princess cash register for 30% off. My daughters LOVE it.

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Any good deals on long island new York Target?

    • Carrie

Check the last post – it’s mine (from Mid-Eastern Suffolk).

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

thanks i live in suffolk too.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i am new here Carri sorry but can’t figure out which post is yours?

  34. Monique

Does any one in Utah know if any of the targets have stuff marked down to 75% yet? I just went to the one in American Fork today and it was all still 30-50% off.

  35. Jessica

I’m in Portland, OR and I called them tonight and they are still at 30%. I really don’t ever see great deals like that here, so I’m not expecting much…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The Wilsonville, OR Target has a lot of toys at 50% and are starting to mark some at 75%. I grabbed a nice Little Mommy set for $12 orig. $50! I walked the whole store and looked for all clearance areas. Some 75% items are mixed in with the 50%.

    • Susan

Jessica… you need to head on over here to the Vancouver (164th/Mill Plain) store! They were marking toys to 50% and 75% off while I was there yesterday. AISLES of toys. I LOVE that store.

  36. Lynsey

Raced to my Target (Wood Village, OR) right before it closed at 10. Went ahead and bought the My Little Pony Set for $14.99 and a Ni Hao Kai Lan doll for $7-something. Most things were only 30% off, but some were 50% off. The shelves were basically fully stocked.

  37. charla

Beaverton, OR is still 30% with quite a few items individually marked at 50%. Really picked over, though.

  38. Angela D.

The Target in Hoffman Estates, IL has 4 aisles of clearance toys!!!!! It’s crazy!!! There are many toys marked 75% off even thougt the signs says 50% off. I was lucky to find a Step 2 kitchen for $19.98 orginaally $79.99!!!!! Also they had tons of baby shoes (2-5) of clearance for $3.74 down from $14.99!!!

  39. Jennifer

I am soooo jealous of all these Targets that still had a pretty good selection when it went to 90%. On tuesday our store was 90% and literally had 50 boxes of candy canes, 30 ornament, 20 stockings and 5 plastic bins. The toy clearance was horrible. Not even worth going back for the 75% off. Wish we had one closer than a 45min drive.

  40. maryann

Monday night I scored a Dyson vacuum for $225 — 50% off!!! Perfect timing as my cheapo vacuum died that morning. The irony is I wanted to get the one in the flyer for $299 which they were out of and stumbled across this gorgeous bargain on a clearance end cap a few aisles down.

    • jenr

i just love end caps with red stickers

  41. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Any one know about Lafayette IN target?

    • Tara

I’m in Indiana too! Kokomo….not too far from you! I was at my Target yesterday and toys were still at 30%.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

thankyou I am also only 1/2 hour from kokomo.

  42. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So I did find some 75% off clearance mixed in with the 30% and 50%. I was able to corner a Target employee and put him in a pinky hold to cough up some info. He said they are coming in early tomorrow (which is now today 🙂 )and bringing out the clearance from the back and that it should be either sat. or mon. when they do the full clearance. Also a word of caution to not rely on calling you Target to find out if the clearance has dropped. Often times they don’t know or they just say no.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The best thing to do is write down the DCPI # is something you’re interested in and ask them to price check that specific item in the register. I don’t even tell them what it is I just say “Can you tell me the price of something if I give you the number?” Works like a charm!

      • MommySpendsLess

Oooh sneaky 🙂 thanks for the great idea!

  43. Heather F

Our local WalMarts (Dayton, Ohio) have lots of toys marked down 50%. I’ve been stocking up for birthday presents. Many of them aren’t marked, so make sure you do a price check.

    • Brandy

I’m in Dayton too. Thanks 🙂

  44. Liz

Just called my Target in Princeton, NJ and they just started their Toy clearance – 30% off. Might still head there today(depending on the snow, its really starting to come down:) to see whats left of Christmas, but at least I won’t be upset when I don’t see 75% off toys. Happy Friday Everyone!!

  45. jammie

anyone know about target deals in Murfreesboro Tn? I live about an hour and half away and I hate to drive that far if there aren’t any deals. 😉

    • Liz

I’d just call first. I ended up stopping by my target and they were correct, all toys were 30% off. Some on end caps were 50% off, but that wasn’t the christmas toy clearance. Also, they were completely done with the 90% off Christmas 🙁

  46. karen566

I scored the Our Generation Kitchen Set for Dolls (like American Girl) for $15.00 Original price was $60. So excited to give this to my daughter for her birthday! Oh, I live in Amherst, NY…I’m going to check another Target today to see if I can snag another for a gift!

I never even thought to check my Target’s toy section last night (Asheville); I did however score some amazing 90% Christmas clearance deals plus got some regular grocery items that we needed. I ended up paying $16.50 for $107.92 worth of stuff so I saved $92.13 🙂

Just got back from my Target (Hollywood, FL) and most toys are only 30% off. There were only a few things at 50% off. Not much left in the 90% off Christmas stuff. Anyone else in SOUTH FLORIDA AREA have any luck finding 75% off toys?

I live near West palm beach FL and my target was only 30% too. 🙁
