Amazon: *HOT!* 10 Reams of Hammermill Paper $6.07 Shipped (Price Mistake?)
I am guessing this is a price mistake on Amazon… but thought I’d give you all a heads up. Currently, Amazon has the Hammermill 10500-7 Copy Plus Multipurpose Paper, 8-1/2×11, White, 5000 Sheets(10 Reams) priced at just $6.07 with FREE shipping (regularly $69.99!).
Yes, Amazon may cancel orders… however, I purchased a price mistake item as I mentioned before – 3 bottles of EO Bubble Bath for$0.96 and surprisingly did receive my order, so it never hurts to try!
(Thanks, Rachel!)
Bummer!! Just got an e-mail canceling my order that was placed at 8:00 this morning. That’s too bad. I really could have used that paper.
I got the same email; I ordered around 8:30 EST 🙁 So looking forward to having all that paper to share. Maybe next time…
mine was canceled too
Mine cancelled too 🙁
Oh man I was hoping that it would work, but my order was canceled also.
same here. Cancelled order due to a mistake on their end. Darn! I was really excited about that deal to 🙁
Please be advised due to a mapping issue on Amazon we have encountered a unit of
measure issue with the item you ordered.
The item was incorrectly listed as ten reams when the item is actually being
sold as a ream. Regretfully we have canceled your order
for this item. We sincerely apologize for this error and we ensure you that all
measures will be taken to prevent issues like this from arising
again. Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
The Customer Advocate Group
Oh well, I guess it was too good to be true…
Yup. Just got my ‘dear john’ email
My order was cancelled too 🙁 It was worth a shot though. Thanks Collin!
Mine was canceled to.
Got the ol’ cancel-roo too…
Mine was cancelled too. I ordered long before it was posted here, saw it on Slickdeals.net first: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2568535
Oh well! A girl’s gotta try, right?! For every one deal I try on this site that doesn’t work, DOZENS do!! I’m not complaining. 🙂
I think they shouldn’t have canceled orders, but I guess they would lose too much money. Didn’t Amazon rank #1 on that ‘customer service’ poll? LOL
It’s not Amazon that was selling it.
Just got the cancellation email 🙁

At least you got an explanation.
who is calling amazon first? lol
I was just about to post the same thing. Let’s flood them with calls and see if they honor the price.. isn’t that customer service 101??
It wasn’t listed/sold by Amazon, it was from Shoplet.
The deal didn’t work out, it’s no big deal.
I posted a review on their site on Amazon. I think it’s pretty bad marketing procedure to post a product and price and have hundreds of people order, only then to cancel on everyone. Usually if a retailer posts a price they have to honor that price and “eat” the mistake. Oh well…
I was thinking the same thing… how can they not honor? I plan on calling them from home… ( unfortunately we can’t dial outside numbers here and my cell is dead )
i am calling amazon….
Please let me know what you find out.. I’m calling also
They offerend me free shipping and a promotion for 10 off the paper at the current price… so didnt get very far… I would try and email… I tried calling Shoplet and they were EXTREMELY RUDE…. bummer the deal fell thru… I do think its poor customer service… if you went to the store they would have to honor the price =)
I told them the same thing if it was a physical store they would have to honor the price. I don’t think Shoplet cares at all.
Check out the unfortunate reviews flooding in on Amazon about this issue…. WOW
Actually, most stores have protection against errors in the advertisement, that they won’t honor mistakes, which this obviously was. They probably couldn’t even ship the paper for the price we were purchasing it for. Too good to be true.
We all knew the price was too good too be true but tried anyways. WHO CARES!?! It really isn’t that big of a deal. I don’t think giving the company bad reviews is really necessary! And why call?! Just wait until another deal comes along!
Mine was canceled too. It’s sad. I was really excited about that order. 🙁
Mine canceled as well:(
mine was cancelled too =( anybody know if there is anything we can do? anyone try and call?
Unfortunately there isn’t really anything we can do – we can call and complain to Shoplet since they were the seller, but I get the impression they don’t care one way or another. 🙁
I received the cancellation email too, BUT I paid w/my Amazon gift card balance and that $$ has yet to be replenished back to my gift card. Anyone know how long this takes when a Seller (other than Amazon) cancels the order? Thanks!
That happened to me when I placed an order through Amazon from Disney Store and they cancelled my order. If I remember correctly they said it could take 48 hours for the credit to go back on the card, which I don’t think is right!
I paid with Amazon gift cards and my balance has been refunded already.
oh well, it was fun trying.
Cancelroono x 1000 lol, o well!
Cancelled mine too. Oh well. We tried. 🙂
🙁 Boooooo
I sent Amazon a nice email saying how I’m a regular customer and was disappointed that the price wasn’t honored due to the seller’s mistake. I got this email back:
Hello,
I understand the cancellation of your order is disappointing. The sellers who offer items on our site work very hard to maintain their inventories, but occasionally an item listed on our site won’t be available when it comes time for the seller to ship your order.
To help compensate the inconvenience, I’d request you to place a new order for “Hammermill 10500-7 Copy Plus Multipurpose Paper, 8-1/2×11, White, 5000 Sheets(10 Reams)/ctn” and write back using the following link with price details and we’ll honor the same seller price for the new order and refund the difference in the amount as an one time exception.

So I reordered (with a price of $44.14) and am waiting for my refund! You can contact Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/general-questions.html
I think it’s ridiculous all of you people are complaining. It didn’t work out, NO BIG DEAL. Everyone should stop complaining to Amazon too…they are not the ones who listed or sold the product, it was Shoplet. Either way, it’s JUST PAPER.
GET OVER IT!
ETA: I am a different Nicole than the one in the original post.
Says someone who probably posted in the other post that you cry over coupon deals….
I hope it’s not in response to me. I didn’t write Amazon, and while it sucks the deal didn’t go through, it’s not a big deal. You win some, you lose some.
It was in response to you. People are upset over the cancellation. To some it may be a big deal….to others, I’m sure it wasn’t. My point was I’m sure you’ve cried over a coupon deal… and to someone else it was ” no big deal”
Nicole,
I appreciate your thoughts and totally agree. However, when it comes to marketing, companies make mistakes all the time and have to “eat” those mistakes. It’s just good ethics and good business practice to do so. How many times have you been to a store and had a wrong price and they will honor the lower price? My husband is in sales and quoted a stock price to a client and it was wrong because it had changed in a short period of time. My husband had to eat $3000. It’s the principle of the thing to me. I don’t care about the paper, but it’s obvious that many people went for this order and were counting on the order being honored. Just my two cents, but you’re right, it’s just paper and better deals will come along! 🙂
I totally agree…. and also I realize it isnt “amazons” fault, but it does reflect poorly on them =)
I agree and I don’t think Amazon should have to pay Amazon shoppers for a 3rd party seller’s mistake.
I just wrote to Amazon, let’s see if they’ll do the same for me! Thanks for the info.
I wrote to Amazon too. Thank for the info. We will see what they say.
If it’s too good to be true, it probably is!
I figured the orders would be cancelled…
Can you imagine the cost to ship cases of paper – even with a volume discount
The shipping would be extremely high due to the weight.
I would hate to be the person who made the mistake
Waiting patiently for the next deal to come along.
I also received an email that my order from 24 hr. Fitness was cancelled!
My paper order was cancelled and I got the same email from 24 hour fitness! Bummer. But, I run a few small businesses and while some large companies can afford to take a loss and honor “mistakes” like these, I know I sure couldn’t. I am thrilled with all the great deals I get from hip2save, so I don’t worry about ones that don’t work out!
I know what you mean! There will be another offer that we do, that won’t get cancelled. These aren’t Collin’s fault because she tells us up front that they might get cancelled, so it’s “enter at your own risk”, so to speak.
All of us, on this site, have so much to be thankful for because of all the money we’ve saved, and all the freebies we have been able to get.
Great job, Collin, and Thank You! 😀
Yeah – my 24 hr fitness cancellation email came right after my amazon cancellation order too!Better to get the disappointment out all at once I suppose. LOL 🙂
Me too!! What a sad afternoon…it’s terribly gloomy outside and I had two of my awesome deals canceled…boo hoo 🙁 LOL 🙂
Mine was canceled too. Does anyone know how long before they credit you back the purchase price. I had used a gift card balance.
mine was also canceled at the gift card balance is already back in my acct.
Mine was also cancelled…bummer!
My order was canceled 🙁
mine was canceled and so was the 24 hour fitness ball order!
I just got a cancellation on my 24 hour Fitness order too. Bummer!
Easy come, easy go!
To all those that think Shoplet should fill their orders, think on this, they are probably a small little company that deals through Amazon. We have no idea how that pricing error was made and if they did fill all the thousands of orders that flooded in at that price they would probably go bankrupt. Alot of 3rd party sellers on Amazon are just little mom and pop shops.
Just something to think about. 🙂
You are so right, I sell on Amazon and an error like this that hundreds of people find out about would be the end of my business! But boy did I get a lot of great toy deals on Amazon before Christmas. So it is always worth a try to get in on a deal and then not worry if it falls through
I knew it was probably too good to be true, but I figured it was worth a shot. Although I am slightly disappointed that they were cancelled, it really irks me that they ran my card. I know most of the time a “hold” is placed on your card when you place an order, but that wasn’t the case with mine. The hold on my money didn’t happen until a few hours later when they were supposedly processing my order for shipment. If they were cancelling because of a mistake, then why bother running my card?
i am just now being charged today, sunday for this and my order was cancelled so i did not keep any of the info. does anybody know how i get my money back?
I have had a “hold” on my account for the 6.07 since Thursday…and…I have never received a cancellation notice…but…when I try to pull up the order number it says it cannot be found! I hate being in limbo with things like this!!
I wrote to Amazon as well. Hoping to hear something shortly.
my order was cancelled too.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000093IO4/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=AIHRRFGW11GJ8
This looks like a GREAT deal until you look at the shipping costs…$30! gasp! Anyway to get free shipping on this one?
THEY CANCELED MINE TOO. NOT SURE WHY IT TOOK THEM 7 HRS BEFORE CANCELING THE ORDER. I’LL HAVE TO CHECK MY CREDIT CARD TO SEE IF THEY CHARGED ME. BUMMER!!!
I got the “your order was canceled” email…but yet, today, there is a charge on my credit card! You may want to check!!
Sometimes with Amazon the charge goes through automatically. They should remove it within a few days. I would contact customer service, and keep checking.
I placed an order this morning and it accepted it and this afternoon I got an e-mail saying it was cancelled mine to, if it took my order and I got a conformation for it, it should not have been cancelled.
I think we could give Amazon a break, especially with ALL the AMAZING toy deals they offered for Christmas, most being at least 50% off or more than what we would have had to pay at local stores.
Anyways, Staples, Office Depot, etc, have SO MANY copy paper deals during the year that not getting this one isn’t too big of a deal gone bad.
🙂 just my own little thoughts
I agree, Maria! It was thanks to Amazon that I was able to afford really awesome Christmas gifts for my kids, nieces, and nephews. 🙂
INTERESTING NOTE: this companies 41/2 star rating has plumeted to 11/2…wonder if it was worth it?? But I am confused….this morning it was from SHOPLET but now the link is from AMAZON. Hmm….SHOPLET has the paper for 33.94.
The rating dropped because there are many people entering their comments complaining about their orders being cancelled today and with their comments, they gave Amazon only 1 star rating. This whole thing is ridiculous – I had my order through 24 hour Fitness cancelled today but oh well – the “free” deal was too good to be true and so is the low price for 10 reams of paper! You win some and lose some…. there’ll always be good (and possibly better) deals out there for us!
