This might sound like a dumb question, but does the coconut oil taste strongly of coconut? I love olive oil and cook with it all the time, but my bf hates the taste of coconut. Not sure if he’d be ok with this oil or not…opinions anyone?
Yes, the unrefined virgin coconut oil definitely smells like coconut and will leave that flavor in your food. I love it but if you don’t like coconut, it would be a problem. You can get a refined version that is deodorized but like any other food, once you start refining it, it does lose a lot of the nutritional value.
