As most of you know, Walgreens released a corporate coupon policy a couple months ago… finally! You can view the policy here. Be sure to print a copy and bring it with you when you shop in case any issues should arise. You can also now print Walgreens Instant Value Coupons online here. *NOTE: If you can find the monthly coupon booklet in-store, save your printer ink. (Thanks, Rose Knows Coupons!)

Happy to see a Gillette Proglide deal again. I’ve been waiting for one for a while now!

    • Brandon

I am glad for the gilette deal too. I got lots of 4 dollar coupons.

    • Cindy

No need to wait for a deal to get your Proglide Razors. I found the non vibrating kind for $4.14 at WalMart. With the $4 Coupon Total cost for me was .14 cents after tax!!! 🙂

      • Tim

Was it on sale or pricecut?

I have 50 coupons and want too stock up for a long while on those razors!

        • Cindy

it was the regular price at my walmart

        • Holly R

how did u get soo many coupns????

          • Tim

That week there was only one insert in the newspaper so I decided to buy the inserts online, I got them for $2 for a set of 5. I bought 50 in total, but I made a lot of it back with overage and money making deals :-). Plus of course all the product that I am getting for pretty much free.

            • karla

I’m new to this couponing world. How do you buy sets of coupons on line?

            • Tim

What I usually do is check how many inserts are going to be in the Sunday newspaper. Whenever I see that there is only one coming, I check prices on eBay. Usually I am able to buy 5 inserts for $2.00-$4.00 plus free shipping. That’s a lot cheaper for me to buy 5 newspapers (which are $2 each).

    • rachel

I personally don’t think the gilette deal is that great. Are u going to pay 15 for the refills? I stopped buying them because a buck for two razors in my opinion isn’t that great. Anyone want to trade the 1 off kraft mac and cheese for the razors? I have three of them. It would be an even trade email if interested at rachelsbunny@hotmail.com

      • Tim

What I do is just take the cartridges and the batteries, the rest goes straight to the recycle department. It’s kinda bad, but it saves a lot of money. In a house of 3 men all using Gillette razors we go through the cartridges FAST!

      • Nancy

Actually that’s really good. Razors are EXPENSIVE.

      • Cindy

We don’t buy the refills for the batteries. We got the non vibe proglide razors so no need for the batteries and when the razor is full we don’t buy the REFILLS. We just throw it away and open up an new pack. At $4.14 then 4.00 off with the coupon we only pay .14 cents for them

        • Cindy

sorry meant to say we don’t buy the refill OR the batteries

      • ricks48038

Rachel, the deal is great…I’ve stockpiled the razors, and I don’t see needing new ones for the next 3 years…and that’s without buying replacements…

        • rachel

i have been getting free non vibrating razors or ones for a buck a pack for more then two. Like I said it is jsut my opinion. I didn’t know about the nonvibrating kind. I will have to use my qs for that my next walmart trip. Ugh walmart lol.

  2. Ashley

Sorry, but I CAN NOT KEEP THIS STRAIGHT. Since I don’t shop that much at Walgreens, I get confused. Which coupon do you hand over first? Manu Q or the in-ad (or Wags booklet) Q? Thanks for any help!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Manufacturer coupon first, then Walgreen’s in store ads or booklets.

    • Anne

      MQ

    • mkw

I like to remember it by alphabetical order: (M) anfacturer coupon then (W) algreen coupon.

      • anon

        I like how you think!

    • Cindy

My Walgreens always makes me use the instore coupon first 🙁

    • Christa

I do RR first, then MQ, then wags in store ads or booklet coupons. And I always make sure to have some fillers to cover for the RR.

      • Nancy

can you explain that? Why do you need fillers?

        • steph

You need one item per coupon and RR counts as a coupon.

    • Ashley

Thanks ya’ll!!! 😉 I like the alphabetical tidbit…I think I can remember it that way!!!

    • Amiah

I use a small acronym for it MW = MY WAY (Manu then Wags)

  3. Margie

bummer…don’t have a Wags…I love it when CVS and Rite Aid deals go up first. Is it sad that these are one of the highlights of my Saturday? 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am right there with you 😉

      • christina b.

        YEA for Saturdays!!! : )

    • Lpmousse

I totally agree- I can hardly wait until Saturday rolls around so that I can get my coupons and deals in order. 🙂 Thanks for all the work you do, Collin!

      • Sarah

Are we pitiful? Haha! Thanks for making our day!

        • colzie08

Lol, I was just thinking the same thing!

        • Linda

Not pitiful, but just wanting to save money! It’s so great to have these lists, Collin. 🙂

    • Selina

Me too….seems like forever from one week to another! LOL

    • Jaclyn

I am so happy to see that I am not the only one! Love Saturdays for the ads on here. Sundays I’m excited for coupons. The rest of the week I am excited for any potential “Christmas in the mailbox” (samples/coupons)! 😉

  4. Michelle

Looks like the coupon on Facebook is already gone. Or there’s an issue. Either way, it’s not showing up and other people are reporting the same thing. 🙁

    • Michelle

Must be an issue. The coupon is back and I just printed twice.

  5. Elizabeth

Hi Collin! Thanks for posting the ad….I always look forward to them on Saturdays!

Kraft Velveeta shells 12 oz, homestyle 12.6 oz 3/$5
Buy 2 boxes of Kraft Homestyle mac & cheese for a total of $3.33
Use the $1/2 Walgreens coupon found in the January Coupon Booklet
Plus, stack with 2 $1/1 coupons found in the 1/16 SS
Final cost only $0.33 for both!

As far as the deal above, I may be wrong, but I’m thinking Walgreens prices are buy 3 for $5 or $xxx each if you don’t buy 3. Because of this the final cost wouldn’t be .33 if you buy just 2. I’m not sure what the individual price is on this product though. Again, maybe I’m wrong, but that’s the way I remember it anyway.

    • Janet

I know at my local Walgreens we have to buy the amount to get the sale price. If we don’t then it’s the original price not the sale price.

      • nikki

So if I buy 6 bags do I just need 1 coupon from the booklet or 3?

        • Jennifer

You need just 1 wags coupon.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Even at the stores where you have to buy 3 to get the sale price, you can add a 4th and it will also be 1.67 – any purchased after you meet the requirement of the sale (in this case, 3) will ring up at the lower price. I have done this many times.
So if you buy 4, it will be 6.67 – $2 with the Wag coupon, – $4 with the MC = .67 for 4

    • Ashley

Can someone verify this? 🙂 I’d love to buy this deal if it really will be $0.33! 🙂

      • Elizabeth

If you buy 6 your total will be $1 or .17 each!

        buy 6 for $10
use the $1/2 from the Jan. booklet (should deduct $3)
        use 6 $1/1 coupons from 1/16 SS
        Pay $1

        • Elizabeth

Or if your store doesn’t have 6 buy 3. It still comes out to .33 each with the coupons.

          3 for $5
use $1/2 from the Jan. booklet
          use 3 $1/1 coupons from 1/16 SS
          pay $1 or .33 each

          • CJ

Actually there’s no need to buy the Kraft Mac & Cheese in multiples of 3. I bought only 1 this morning, it rang up at $1.67, I used the $1 MQ from 1/16 SS and the monthly $1/2 Wags coupon took .50 off for just buying one. So I only bought 1 and got it for .17. Not sure if it will work that way for everyone but it did for me.

            • Tammy B

I did the same thing but I bought 3 and used 3 $1.00 coupons and the $1.00/2 IVC from Walgreens which took off $1.50 so ended up paying 50 cents for 3.

        • Ashley

WOW! Awesome deal! Thank you! 🙂

    • Collin

Thanks for pointing this out. I have updated the deal scenario to reflect a purchase of 6 so your final cost is still $0.17 each. 🙂

      • Kristina
      • anita

I don’t understand. The site will only let me print 2 Kraft coupons.

    • Kim

We didn’t get the Q in the paper this week. 🙁 Must be regional. so I used 2 Q’s off fb, not as good of deal, but still a good deal.

  6. angie

Does anyone know what the TwinLab Max Dots Resveratrol Dietary Supplement Tablets are good for?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I believe it’s heart health or something. From what I can tell, it’s the chemical from red wine that’s supposed to be good for you.

      • Melissa Kentala

You know how a wine a day is great for your health and longevity, basically they took out the amino acid/vitamin from wine, which is the reservatrol. It helps you live longer….(NOT FDA PROVEN OR APPROVED)

    • Maezy

Is anyone else having trouble finding the *TwinLab Max Dots Resveratrol* Dietary Supplement Product ?? My store manager and staff all said they’ve never seen this product before. AND if it is a new product when will it be coming in? TIA… 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It should be in the Vitamin section on the bottom shelf. I work at Walgreens. I remember seeing these come in a few months ago and I am pretty sure that is where they are.

        • Maezy

Thanks I’ll keep my eyes peeled some more. 😉

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It is not in every wag store!!! I have only found it in one and it was on a trip so distance away!!

      • shannon

They’re in the diet pill section of the store.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I suspect my 2 local Wags pulled these. Shelf has been empty all month.

    • Amiah

at my wags, on the bottom shelf next to the antioxidant supplements under vitamins… HTH

    • shannon

It’s a weight loss pill, loads of caffeine in it, etc. I bought 3 a few weeks ago when they were buy 1, get 2 free, then I used that $10 off coupon and I got all 3 free!

      • Maezy

Thanks to all of you… this should steer me [and others] in the right direction on my next weekly trip to wags. 🙂

  7. nikki

Kraft American Singles 12 oz 2/$3
Use the $1/2 Walgreens coupon found in the January Coupon Booklet
    Final cost $1 each!

    I’m not seeing these???
The only one I see is on page 3 for Deerfield cheese???

    • Collin

Woops! I am not sure what I was thinking. You are correct so I removed that deal scenario.

  8. Stephanie R

Just a quick question…Wag’s employees SHOULD reduce the value of a coupon if you have a coupon that is worth more than the item, right? I just tried to go in and buy the Bic Triumphs today using the $2 online printable coupon. The employee AND the manager told me that they don’t round down coupons so I couldn’t use them. Isn’t this clearly stated in the new policy online? I even called corporate and the person on the phone said it’s only if you are using another coupon too… anyone else had any experience with this?

    Thanks!

    • Melissa R.

My Walgreens will reduce the coupon amount to match the sale. Once, I did have to show a new manager the coupon policy. The employees will sometimes balk at it, but I just sweetly say, “Ask Manager _______”. They do and the manager approves the coupon adjustment.

I get frustrated because often times I know more about the store policies than the employees do. How can that be?

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’M I DONT THINK SO HONEY !!!! I WORKE @ WALGREENS AND ALL EMPLOYEES KNOW HOW YOU COUPON ADDICTS SHOP!! ALWAYS WANT TO TAKE EVERYTHING HOME!!! GIVE ME A BRAKE !!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i have no comment except you should not be in retail

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

ps learn to spell…. break not brake you moron

            • Nancy

              touche!

            • Kimberly Harris

lol I love hip2save for soooo many reasons.

        • chelliebeanie

Then why in the world are you on this website, CRAZY? Everything couponers do is legal, and financially smart. We probably won’t remember your mean comments when we retire early.

          • Nancy

What I don’t understand is that our purchaes add to their sales! I work in retail and I can tell you – it’s all about sales! Store are always trying to up their comps (daily sales compared to what they did last year on the same day). So if 100 couponers come in every day and buy $20 worth of merchandise, than that’s $2,000 more towards the daily comp. If they use mfg. coupons, than Wags will be reimbursed plus a handling fee. Not sure how the Wags coupons effect the bottom line but coupons are getting people in the store. Granted many (like me) will just get what they came for but some will buy other things. I don’t get it!

        • wkingtxmom

Why would you waste your time on this site when it makes you so angry. Life is so much better if you try and be a little happy and look at things in a more positive light…

    • Vanessa

I had the same problem at a Walgreens in Colorado Springs, both cashier and Manager acted like I was asking them to do something illegal. So seeing that I knew I was right I called corportate, which was a bigger waste of time sinc the person I spoke to told me, the only way they can adjust coupons is per manager discretion.

      • Stephanie R

I’m in Colorado Springs too! Was it the Wag’s on the corner of Union and Platte? NONE of the Walgreen’s employees here know about the coupon policy at any Walgreen’s in Colorado Springs. I did have one manager know about it at the store on Platte and Murray, but the employees didn’t know. I called corporate today and am waiting on a call back from a manager. I agree with Melissa that we shouldn’t know more about the coupon policy than the employees. I choose to buy things at Walgreen’s that I can get cheaper elsewhere because I do think they have good customer service and I want to back companies like that, but if the person who calls me back tells me the same thing they said to you, I think I’ll choose to start shopping elsewhere. I’m totally fine with them not choosing to reduce a coupon if they want that to be their policy because it’s their store and they can choose to do what they like, but it’s embarrassing to think it’s okay to use a coupon in a certain way based on an official policy and then to be treated like a criminal for trying to follow their policy.

        • Vanessa

I tried at the Walgreens on Centennial and Vindicator as well as the one on Centennial and Garden of the Gods.
Do post and let us know what your response from corporate was.

          • Stephanie R

Will do 🙂 I feel pretty bad about the entire situation because the manager was nice, and when I said “I’ll call corporate then”, I think she thought I was mad at her and was threatening her. I didn’t mean that AT ALL. I just wanted to let her know that I would call them because I feel that it’s corporate’s responsibility to make sure that all employees know their official policies and they dropped the ball here. I want to go back and let her know that I told them she was very nice about it and that I don’t want her to think I was upset with her. I think it might make it worse if I go back, but I don’t know. I feel like I might never go back to that store again actually 🙁

            • WagsEm

I work at Wags. Just so everyone knows, we cannot make the coupons less than the amount it has on the coupon. We all know the policy, but corporate is dumb sometimes and wants us to do something we cannot. When we send in the coupons to the manf. it says the amount, so if we made them less we would have to punch it and we couldn’t send it to the manf. because we did not use that specific coupon. Only way we can put an amount in for a coupon is when there is an amount. And employees can loose their job punching in coupons. I use coupons too, and I get that the policy says that. I have had many customers yell at me for not being able to punch the coupon, and when you speak to corporate, they never tell you guys there is no way we can punch a coupon. We can only make it the amount it states. Also Wags is being generous because it allows you to double coupons when it states on the coupons one per transaction. I have coupon ladies that come in and I love helping them, but some people just ruin my day because they are rude to me when I have no control over the issue they are having. Corporate says one thing to the employees and a different thing to the customers. So when a person says “I’m calling corporate” you are just getting the employee in trouble, when they have no control over it.

    • Jenna

My wags adjusted the coupon value for the pens down with no problem. We do have very coupon friendly wags though so that probably makes a difference.

      • Karen

I had the same problem with the Bic triumph pens at Wags the other day. The cashier said they are not allowed to reduce the value of the coupon, that is fraud etc etc. She called the mgr who told her to go ahead and do it for me–they charged $2.00 each & then deducted the $2.00 coupon.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

And this is why you carry the WG coupon rules (found here) with you. That way you dont waste gas and time going back. Win, win all around. Stops the Coupon Nazis in their tracks.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT MY WAGS DID FOR ME LAST NIGHT WITH NO PROBLEM:)

      • Rob

WagsEM…sounds like the employees need to contact corporate. This is not the customers responsibility.

        • wkingtxmom

Agreed. My wags does it every time. I actually have 3 that are close and every single one does it every time w/o question.

    • croche

I tried the to use a coupon at Walgreens that was higher than the product’s price and the manager said I couldn’t do it. I gave her my copy of their policy and told her to keep it. She now keeps it on her cipboard. Her name is Jen and she is awesome. Didn’t get the deal that day, but she will always reduce the amount on the coupon (and write it on the coupon), so the manufacturer doesn’t take a loss. Gotta love my Walgreens at Lynnhaven Parkway, Virgina Beach, VA.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You should look around your Walgreens walls closely…right by the front door, as soon as you enter my store, they have their coupon policy posted. Just last night I needed to have a coupon adjusted down, and when the manager said no, we walked over to the wall together and read the policy. He laughed at himself for not even knowing that the policy was on the wall, and confessed that he had never read it once. Sad, but true. 🙂

        • CJ

Walgreens coupon policy is not posted anywhere in any of the locations that I go to.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

which one on Lynnhaven Parkway in VA if you don’t mind… thanks

        • croche

The Walgreens next to Home Depot and across from Walmart. Closest intersection is Lynnhaven and Princess Anne. Do you live in Virginia Beach?

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yes and all my experiences with walgreens have been how do I say it politely HORRID… Thanks for the info.

    • Stephanie R

Thanks, WagEm for the info. I think that’s wrong that Walgreen’s states in their policy that you can do something that employees actually cannot do. That just doesn’t make any sense at all. I told the person I spoke with that the manager was very nice about it, and I made it clear that my issue is with corporate and not the manager. The manager had no idea about the policy, and I never thought that was her fault because it was clear that someone failed to ever make the policy clear to the employees at that store. When I get a call back, I will be sure to make it even more clear that it’s the policy and corporate that I am frustrated with and most certainly not the manager or the cashier. I was not rude to the manager, though I was frustrated because I wasn’t trying to do something illegal — at least based on what I understood from the policy. I can understand employees’ frustration with customers, but certainly they can also understand our frustration when we use our time and gas just to be told no about something that seems pretty clear from the online policy. I had no idea that cashiers actually couldn’t do something that the online policy states is okay, and I’m sure that’s true for most customers as there’s no way we could know that. Thanks for sharing this to help me get a different perspective before they call me back 🙂

    • Amiah

      • In the event that any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons
      But wait there is more….
      • The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied

    • bergen

I know what it states in their policy, but it doesn’t make sense. If they lower the price of the coupon at the register, then send for reimbursement… they would get a different amount then their register logs had. Their books wouldn’t balance. Not to mention this would be fraud….charging the manufacturer for more money than actually charged.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

most of the time I have seen the cashier write the amount the coupon was adjusted too. So I don’t think the store will get overage on that coupon. 😉

        • rachel

my wags adjusts coupons down they cross out the value on the coupon and change it. If u r having a hard time this is what I do at target on the tide 1 packs that are 97 cents I jsut have them change their price to 1.00 and they take it.

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Select Kellogg’s Cereal 8.7-15 oz, Pop tarts 8 pk $1.99
Use the $70/1 coupons found here
    Final cost $1.29!

    I think you meant .70 😉

    • Melissa R.

      $1.99
      – .70
      ______
      $1.29

      • Shannon

She’s referring to the fact that Collin put $70 instead of $0.70. Not the math on the deal… Minor error – she’s allowed to make one every once in a while I guess! 😉

        • Melissa R.

You’re right! I guess my eyes over-looked the $ and just knew it would be 70 cents. Collin is great and I love this site!

    • Collin

Woops! I corrected the coupon amount. Thanks!

  10. Wayne B.

SS 1/9/11 Kraft Singles .75/1 coupon will go nice with the cheese deal.

    • ashley a.

I thought that was only for the 2% or Fat Free kind of cheese?

    • CJ

What cheese deal? The only cheese I see in the Wags ad is the Deerfield cheese.

  11. Betty B

I absolutly hate our Walgreens. Everytime I go there and use coupons I have a bad experience. The employees and managers are rude. They act like I’m stealing from them. I would much rather shop at my Rite Aid and CVS. Their Customer Service is AWESOME. The manager at my local Rite Aid actually comes out to ring me up just so he can see the great deals I get. He is great!!!! He also give me extra ups that other customers leave behind.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thats all I get is a stupid Walgreens (everyone who works there is rude)…no Rite Aid or CVS. 🙁 Iowa sucks!

      • Vanessa

NO Rite Aid or CVS in Colorado Springs either.

      • Amber

Tonya – I agree! You would think DM would have all 3. I will say that there is a GREAT Walgreens on George Mills! Try that place.

        • Tonya O.

Amber, I wish I was in DM but I am in Sioux City and around here I dont even buy a sunday paper because they never put coupons in them……..I buy the DM Register! I hate this town lol

    • Nancy

you should left corporate know ….

    • Lpmousse

I love my Wags! I have a great cashier who knows that I’m following the rules, totally has no problem with me saving scads of money, and is really pleasant about the whole process. My whole store is really nice about coupons, and the manager lets me know about deals that I may not have picked up on. 😉

    • rachel

I have that issue with riteaid well hit and miss depending on whos working. So I found one farther away that is nice to me and less busy. In utah we only have two riteaids within a half hour drive ugh. But we have like 10 wags so just find one that works for u.

  12. Kari

Heads up kotex website has a Q for 1.00 off the tampons to make the deal even better!

    • Tonya O.

Where did you find the coupon for Kotex? I looked on the site but cant find anything.

        Wonderful! Happy to help!

  14. DANA

All YOU feb has 3.00 off neutragena coupons.

    • rachel

      any or just cosmetic?

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Any cosmetic,,,,

I was searching the forums on this particular item because Colin asked if there was a Q out there. I have two—-$3/1 and $1/1

Both say any cosmetic, I don’t know where I got them but I am guessing the All you magazine or newspaper because other than IP’s those are the only other places I get my Q’s..

    • kelly

When are the All You’s supposed to be mailed out? I haven’t gotten one in the mail but so many people keep referring to the Feb issue that I’m wondering if it was in store or if they got theirs mailed already?

      • Kim

I went to Walmart on Sat and they still had the Jan issue of it. I assumed that the feb q’s were in reference to the subscriptions, but maybe not.

  15. Tiffany

Buy 2 DayQuil and 2 NyQuil products $5 each
    Total = $20
Use 2 $3 WYB both NyQuil and DayQuil coupon found in the 12/26 PG
    Pay $14
    Get back a $10 RR
    Final cost $1 each!

    Will this work???

    • melissa

I think your math is off
      4 @ 5 = $20
      less 6.00 (2 $3 q’s )
      = $14.00
      get back $10 rr
      = $4.00 or $2 each

      • Tiffany

I think it would be $4 for 4 total–2 DayQuil and 2 NyQuil. Makes them $1 each.

  16. Jeanni

Where do you find the twin labs max dots? I can’t find them anywhere.

    • Kate

In the vitamin/supplement aisle in between the other Resveratrol products. I only found two last week…still trying to find more both WAGS in my area are out.

    • shannon

In the diet pill section. At least at my store.

    • Angelia

Mine were on the second to top shelf in the corner behind a sign for something else. I had to ask.

  17. Janice Greene

Don’t forget to use your $5 off Nature Made coupon for the vitamins if you printed it off.

    • Stacey

There is a $5 MIR in my SS today for buying $20 in Nature made!!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks!!!!! 🙂 I hope I can use this from my Vit C purchase earlier in the week!

  18. croche

Not too much going on at Walgreens this week, but…thank you Collin! Just wanted to let you know that you helped me so much today. My son (16) has a birthday coming up and he wanted a game that was a presale from Game Stop. Well, they quit the presale by the time we tried to buy it and he was a little upset. Went to Game Stop today and asked if some of the presales were never picked up (they have 48 hrs) and the very nice man working there said “sure”. He said if I come back to the store around closing time (48 hrs after the game has arrived), and if there is a game not picked up, he would let me have it. I would have never thought to ask if it weren’t for your blog. Thanks for making us savy shoppers and asking for help from the great people that work in those stores.

    • Collin

You are so welcome. Happy birthday to your son!

  19. Kate

If you do the following deal it is far better for Kraft Homestyle Mac & Cheese

    buy 6 @ 3/$5 Homestyle Kraft Mac & Cheese = $10
    use 6 $1/1 manufacturer’s coupon SS 1/16 = -$6
use 1 $1/2 WAGS Jan coupon booklet coupon will deduct $3 for buying 6 = -$3
    OOP $1 for 6 = 6/$1 and comes to about $0.17 each!

That is my plan for the week! Not sure if anyone caught the more you buy on this one the more you save! Just gotta get the coupons together from paper tomorrow! 🙂

  20. Rose

Wow, I know I must be alittle slow, but I just figured out how to print the WG ad, only printing the items that I am interested in. Guess I’m going to have to slow down & read the fine print instead of flying by the seat of my pants. Thanks for all the time that you save me. I work 3 jobs and don’t have alot of down time. Couponing for me used to be so hard because I wasted so much time looking in vain. Then I found Collin & HIP TO SAVE. I CAN NOT THANK YOU ENOUGH.

  21. Monica

Re #2 Why does it make a difference if you hand them the mq coupon or the store coupon first?

    • Katie

I can’t do it at my Walgreens, as they insist I hand over the store coupons first…but some I guess will take the manufacture Q first then the Wags Q, you can save more money that way, for ex. the orbit gum last week was .69 cents after the in-ad Q, but if you handed the manufacture Q first it would take off the original price, not sure what it was but say it was $1.29. So the Buy 1 get one 1 free would take $1.29 off, then if you hand them the in-ad Q it would take an additional $1.20 off for both packs (.60 cents each) you would then only pay .09 cents out of pocket for both. For me, I paid .69 cents for both, which was still a good price.

      • Cydne

It doesn’t matter in my case.
My store makes me hand over the WG coupon first, but then it still takes off the original price (ex: $1.29 for the gum), so it ends up the same. It would only matter if the cashier remembered the WG coupon price (.69) & entered it manually.

  22. Mitch

I am ready to stock up on Arizona Iced Tea!
I wish they carried the sample size of the Therma Care, alas in NYC they do not.
And I had to get the other Reversatol or whatever it is, but it was BOG 2 free, that was a good sale!
    thanks
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

  23. Kerri

Softsoap sale in my ad is 7.5 oz. Coupon for .35/1 in my area was for 8 oz or larger. 🙁

    • dani

wow…I just was going to post a comment about the soap….thanks.

    • Collin

      Woops! Thanks for catching that.

      • CJ

I didnt notice the listed sizes and used the Softsoap coupons together today with no problems.

  24. Carrie

So I just need to know for my own sake if any one else has ever encountered this scenario? I was lucky enough to find 2 Reach Total Care dental flosses and 3 Reach Total Care Toothbrushes last week that were marked down with the orange tag on clearance for 2.99. I used the 2.00 of Wags coupon and used the 1.00 manu coupons for each item I purchased…making them all FREE. I was in a hurry and had purchased other items so I didn’t look at my receipt until I had gotten home even though I thought the total was high at the store. Long story short…the Wags coupon took off 4.00 for the flosses but nothing for the toothbrushes. When I took the items back to the store to explain that it didn’t deduct the other 6.00…the manager informed me that “you can’t use 2 wags coupons on the same item” I said I didn’t and he told me “an item that has been marked down on clearance is the same as using a coupon and you cannot apply 2 coupons to the same item!!!!!!!” HUH? Since when is something marked on clearance the same as it being a coupon. Anyone else ever heard such a load of you know what before? Sorry…just had to vent!

    • Kristina

wow this is ridiculous…you should call corporate

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i had this happen this week too, with the toothbrushes/floss!! I found the floss on clearance for $2.79, so i bought two, and i bought four tooth brushes.. I had two 2/2 tooth brush coupons and 2 1/1 floss coupons. I had her do the manufacturer coupons first and then she scanned the in ad coupon… i didnt realize it until i got out in the car that the in-ad only took off $6, instead of $12. i didn’t have the ad with me anymore and i honestly just didn’t have time to go back in and ask them for an answer… but i wondered if it had to do with a limit they placed on the number of items a coupon can be used on? Did it say limit 3? I dont know. That is very interesting though…. maybe it did have something to do with the items being on clearance–but I would have gladly gotten the ones that were 20 cents more, to be able to save $2 on each item! haha

      • Margie

The limit was 3, so that number of floss & brushes could not be done in one transaction.

        • Carrie

I asked the cashier if I could get more than 3 and she said no problem…that there really wasn’t a limit, they just had to put that on the coupons! I thought that was the problem at first, too, but then it should have taken off for at least one of the toothbrushes.

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yeah, i thought that was weird too.. ive often times bought more than the printed limit says and it’s always multiplied my inad coupon by the number i actually bought, not the printed limit. idk, honestly… but i’m hoping maybe it was just a glitch with the certain products we both bought. I was able to use a coupon on the clearance items (the floss), and i’ve been able to use manufacturer q’s and monthly coupon books on clearance items before also (i found 26 count boxes of breathe right strips on clearance for $5.99 last month, i had a $1.50 man. q and there was a $4 q in the monthly booklet!! I was THRILLED–i bought two boxes, which was all they had! haha). So, i dont think it was because it was on clearance that you couldn’t use a coupon on it, and you can ALWAYS use an in ad q and an IVC monthly booklet q on the same item… no biggie…so regardless, i think the answer you got, Carrie, was hogwash. 🙂

            • Carrie

Thanks! That’s kind of what I am thinking too! Oh well…you win some you lose some 🙂

          • Jaclyn

I purchased 4 toothbrushes & it took the $2 off ALL 4 of them today. Maybe they aren’t “Total Care”?

        • Jaclyn

I purchased 4 toothbrushes & it took the $2 off ALL 4 of them today. Maybe they aren’t “Total Care”? HTH 😉

    • Jaclyn

That is NOT true! Some employees like to make up there own couipon policies as they go! Very frustrating! The coupon was for Reach “Total Care” ….maybe the toothbrushes ARE Reach but NOT the “Total Care” kind? That’s the only thing I can think of for the coupon not to take the additional $2 off each toothbrush. It has NOTHING to do w/ clearance prices! HTH!

      • Carrie

Nope..they were definitely the Total Care kind.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

          mine too. 🙁

        • Jaclyn

That is strange that it didn’t work when they were “Total Care”. Personally I would bring them back. I had $2 off Walgreens wipes & diapers today. When they were scanned they rang up at $1 off for some reason. Thankfully I had a super nice cashier who fixed it for me. 😉

    • Amy L

I found the same clearance toothbrushes for $2.99. The walgreens coupon did not come off, even though they did say total care on them like the ad. Called manager and since I had a $1 coupon too (or a $2/2 Q) they had to ring the toothbrushes up for .$1.00 then take the mfr Q off. That was earlier this week, went today and it worked no problem. Maybe they fixed it?

  25. Ann

Splenda (1gram of fiber) 80 ct. is on Mega Saver for $2.99, Use buy one get one free coupon, and $2.00 off coupon (hope you printed it) and pay .99 for 2 packages!

    • mykingarooroo

where did you find the buy one get one coupon?

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Not positive but it had to have been from Dec. issue of all you.

    • Anne

But won’t the BOGO coupon (this was in one of last week’s inserts BTW) attach to both bags?

    • Nancy

I didn’t have the BOGO in my insert! ;-(

  26. Briana V

Was browsing wags for fun and came across two great clearance finds that I thought that you should all know about ! Nexus this week is but one get one 50% off and I found shampoo and conditioner for $3 & $ 4. I was able to snag 2 shampoos and two conditioners for $11. That’s less than the price of one! There was also grant granier products for $1.09 and there are $1/1 q’s hope this helps some else!

  27. Stephanie

I purchased 2 of the Reach Total Care toothbrushes on clearance for $2.99. The in-ad coupon would not work so the manager told the cashier to discount them the two dollars from the in-ad coupon. She rang them for $1 each and then used the $2/2 MFQ. It seems that the brushes on clearance were not in the system for the in-ad coupon although they were clearly Reach Total Care as the coupon stated. As for the Resveratol, I only found 3 in the last two weeks. Most stores don’t have them stocked. For those who are wondering, it is an antioxident supplement that dissolves in your mouth.

  28. Paige

Newbie here 🙂 Couple of questions:

1.) Are the Walgreen Coupon Books still available and where in the store would I find them?

2.) Can you pay partially using a RR on a transaction where you get an RR?

    Thanks ladies!!

    • Amber

Walgreens coupon books are still available always at the front of the store with the ads.
You can pay using RR, but be careful. If you purchase an item and get RR and then purchase the same item with the RR you got you won’t get more RR.

  29. Anne

Does anyone know where to find the pillglide spray? I cannot find it anywhere and the managers at both stores said they have never seen it.

    • april

I have found it by the pharmacy hanging up with the pill bottles ect…hope that helps

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yes it is over near the pharmacy and it is actually with the stuff like measuring spoons for giving kids liquid medicine. It is not with the other medicines but more like with aids for various things . Hope that makes sense. Noone knew where to find it at my wags either, but I finally found them. I got a couple the other day and 2 today and now they are all gone. Not much stock of these. Hope you find them.

  30. Kelly

The Vicks sinex deal worked for me this morning! What a great money maker! It wasn’t marked on the shelf but when she rang me up I got my 10rr and each Sinex box was only $5. The Thermacare coupon I printed would not scan and when she typed in the barcode it didn’t take either. I was lucky because the manager told her to push it through. Just a warning there might be an issue with that q!

    • Lauren

The 20 tablets of the Dayquil and Nyquil Sinex worked for me too! They were tagged at my stores.

  31. jane

What about the $5/1 Nature Made product link last week would that work in the scenarios this week.

  32. michelle

Good luck on the homestyle mac I was just told that I can’t use the manu coupon and book coupon together that the sale included the book coupon even showed the coupon policy and still a no go!

    • CJ

The sale price in the ad does not mention anything about the book coupon. The book coupon should take .50 off each and you should be able to use a $1 manuf coupon on each. I hate when cashiers and/or individual stores make up their own coupon rules:(

  33. sherrybethb

Can anyone Help me and answer this question? If something is Limit 1 (Shick ProGlide Razor), can you make another trip, or go to a different store and get another one since you use no card like CVS?

    • fran

      Yes!
You don’t want to use your RR to purchase another ProGlide because the machine won’t give you another RR.

  34. Subhangi Shah

On the proglide deal, Can you purchase one razor and get the RR and then use it right then to purchase the 2nd one?

    • Kahra

Yes, but you won’t get another RR for the second razor.

  35. meredith

Question: if I buy 4 proglide razors… do i need to do 4 seperate transactions to get the $20 RR or will it work if I do one?? Thanksfor the help 🙂

    • Nicole

They must all be done in separate transactions. Also, don’t plan on using the RR to pay for more razors. Otherwise a new RR won’t print out.

    • Shannon

NOpe, sorry they have to be separate transactions and you can’t use the RR to pay for your next transaction of the same item. You can’t roll RR at walgreen on the same items. You can on different deals. Example this week you can buy joint juice $10 with a $10RR and then use that RR to purchase the $10 Diet spray with a $10RR and then use that $10RR to buy another joint juice and get another $10RR. It work to shop at Walgreen, but worth it!

  36. thriftydivaclr

    fyi…..the Therma Care coupon beeps..

    • CJ

My Thermacare printable did not beep. For once all my coupons went through with no problems 🙂

    • megs0575

The coupon beeped for me too….although they did take it. BUT….I didn’t get the RR. Did you?

      • Drew

My coupon didn’t beep, and the RR printed out fine.

    • LaToya

I can’t even get this coupon to print. Shows/acts like it is, but nothing comes out. Bought it anyway…but would have loved it to be a MM instead.

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have a couple of questions about Walgreens.. i’m not really a fan of this store because everytime i go in there to use a coupon it never goes as planned.. like it does at my rite aid…
Can someone explain to me this…
I went into walgreens today and bought the gilette razor, diapers, and sodas.. the lady was nice enough to let me do seperate transactions.. so i bought my razor and sodas first… then i put my diapers up there..
    2 pampers diapers.. 2/18
I had 2 1.50 off coupons so I used both of them bringing it down to 15.00 so I gave them the 5 dollar reward thingy… she scans it and tells me it wont accept it because I had 2 coupons so i had to buy something else if i wanted to use the 5 dollar rewards… I asked her why she said she didn’t know.. so I bought a candy bar.. yea it was only .49cents but I mean how are you going to give me 5 dollars and then tell me how to use it??? I mean don’t get me wrong I love these stores that give these rewards, but it doesn’t make any sense to me.
Does anyone know why this is???

    • Kahra

The RR is considered a manufacturer coupon, so if you have 2 items, and 2 coupons for those items, plus a RR, then you have 3 coupons for 2 items. You have to have 1 item for each manufacturer coupon you use. I hope that makes sense. 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

thanks it sure does appreciate it guys…

  38. meredith

I think because your coupon to item ratio?? two diapers : two diaper coupons + one RR = 3??

  39. Nancy

We buy about $1,000 worth of RXs at Walgreens every year. If they ever give me a problem, I will transfer them to Target and I will tell them why. So, far I’ve never had a problem with a ligit coupon scenario.

  40. Kesha

I always forget about the fillers!! I went to get the Kraft deal and the Skintimate deal, and they were having issues w/ my coupons but pushed them through and didn’t even mention, then I went to another Walgreen’s to get 2 more bags of Kraft and she said she couldn’t take 1 of my coupons because I only had 2 items, after leaving I remembered about the filler….lol Maybe I’ll go back later.

  41. Linda

I haven’t been to Walgreens in a while and can’t remember about the RR’s. I know there are certain things you can’t use the RR’s to buy. Can you buy milk with them?

    • Drew

No dairy, gift cards, prescriptions, alcohol, cigarettes…I might be missing something.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I buy my milk with them all the time!!!!

  42. Elizabeth

Help! My Walgreens will not take a coupon out of their monthly coupon book and stack it with a manufactures coupon from the paper or internet. The coupons in their monthy coupon book state they are manufacuters coupons and not vaid with any other offer. How are you all getting your Walgreens to take both?

    • Mitchell Wischmann

In the Walgreens coupon policy, it states:

“When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.”

The coupons inside the monthly coupon book are Walgreens coupons, so they should have no problem accepting both. If they say that it’s a manufacturer’s coupon, I would point out the fact that you can’t take that coupon to another store and use it there.

      Hope that helps!

  43. marymwirtz

I was able to use the razor ProGlide coupon to get a package that included a small size body wash, after shave and cooling lotion and still paid $.99 for it. I thought it would make a nice gift for a man. It was located on an endcap but it did ring up the same price as the other ones and printed out a $5 RR. Hope you guys can find them at your local store.

  44. Heather

I went to Walgreens today to fill a perscription (I rarely shop there) and then I noticed coupons taped to everything. Turns out a lady who works there cuts out coupons from the Sunday’s inserts and tapes them to the products if it makes for a good deal. Guess I know which Walgreens I’m shopping at from now on!! 🙂

    • Tawanda

Now SHE understands what it means to offer top notch customer service!

  45. Histengr

I went to Walgreens tonight to do my weekly deals. It was the first time I’ve ever gone on the first day. 🙂 I wanted to do the Fusion Proglide deal. When I was walking toward the register, I saw a pack that had a razor plus trial versions of the thermal face scrub, intense cooling lotion, and body wash inside. I took it to the register and price checked it. It rang up the $9.99 and printed the RR!!!!! Very exciting b/c these will make nice gifts.

  46. Christy830

I am kinda new to couponing and maybe everyone knows this…but I bought 2 of the termacare heat wraps travel size at $2.50, used 2 $1/1 coupons, and expected to get back 2 $2.50 RR, making it a $2 MM. But only one RR printed out and the employee told me only one per transaction 🙁 If something doesn’t ring up right or I’ve gotten a deal wrong before I check out I am comfortable saying “nevermind”…but after the transaction is done I don’t feel comfortable making them return it…I still only paid $1.50 for the second one but I am still feeling annoyed that I am out the $2.50 i was expecting. I’m sure we will use the product, but I didn’t really “need” it which makes me feel even worse about it…I just wish he would have told me I would only get back one RR

    • cmwagen

The ad states limit 1coupon printed per offer. You purchase 1 and you get 1 reward. Purchase 2 and you will still only get the limit 1 reward.

  47. Kelley

I bought the appetite spray to get the $10 RR. I didn’t really need it, but I got 4 dawn dish soaps (used 25 cent q and in ad q’s), got 1 2.99 Charmin, 3Mac&cheese (used wags q and q’s from sunday paper), and 2 capri suns, and olives (in ad q). I was happy with my deals! Thank for all the work you do for everyone here!
