I used the same card for both purchases and it went through no problem, but that doesn’t mean they won’t cancel the order.
i did the same for my sis account, they sent the order no problem and applied 5 store credit, but deleted her account.

I just used the coupon code Bamboo10 and signed up as a new member to receive the $5.00 credit. I should have had a $15.00 deduction from my total. The $5.00 store credit showed up at the top, but when I submitted the order, the store credit was no longer there and it did not deduct from my total. I only saved the $10.00 from the coupon code Bamboo 10. I tried to call customer service but they are closed for the weekend. I sent them an email.
I purchased the Core Bamboo Square Bowl. My total was $12.95 but should have been $7.95.
Same thing happened with me. I didn’t see that you had to put the 5 credit in yourself. I sent them an email asking if they would still take the 5 off. I was going to go back and order it again under my husbands name to get it for 4.95 but then they were all sold out. I guess 9.95 is a good deal for 3 cutting boards though.
I got a response back via email and they said they would adjust my order on Monday. 🙂

I ended up contacting customer service using both of their emails. I originally sent the email to service@modnique.com. I noticed on a previous post to contact feedback@servicemodnique.com. So, I sent an email there. I got a fast reply from the second email I sent stating they would correct it on Monday. When I woke up this morning I had an email from the first email I sent stating that it was a store credit, was still apllied to my account. It stated that unfortunately they could not credit the $5.00 and that I could use it on my next purchase. So, we shall see. I could call them on Monday.

Similar thing happened to me except with the promo code. I added the promo code, but it wasn’t applied to my order apparently so I was charged $14.95 instead of $4.95! I sent an email and got a response that they wouldn’t adjust it for me. Now I have to call tomorrow and cancel my order. Bummer! I will never order from them again as the way you are supposed to apply coupon codes and credits is weird and seems designed to mislead the customer.
I just received the $5.00 credit back to my paypal account that I used to make the purchase. Make sure you email feedback@modnique.com. They even called me to let me know to expect the credit. I am very happy that they fixed it for me.

what does the pre authorization mean on the charge?
All companies “pre-authorize” to make sure your card is valid.

pre-authorization means that its pending. as soon as it ships, yr card will be charged

I can’t get the 10 code to work, it shows up … but says I am not meeting the requirements of it. Is thera a minimum? I have an $8 item.
Some of the Core Bamboo items are left under the “Gifts” section, but are also “Make an Offer” items, which does not allow you to use the $10 code. The items under the “Core Bamboo” section were not “Make an Offer” items and you can use the code.

not as good of a deal as this one, but still a good one so if you really want bamboo, you can check the store
I purchased core cutting boards from another site when they had a similar deal going on and i would not recommend them at all. I used them about twice and they cracked already. I got them close to free so it wasn’t a big deal that they ended up splitting, but i would never purchase them again..(also have a salad spoon and fork that i got at the same time and the same thing happened to them as well)…
Did you put them in the dishwasher? I’ve had several Core cutting boards and the first one I put in the dishwasher and it cracked immediately (I didn’t pay attention to the care instructions). When I got another one I read that it was not dishwasher safe so I washed by hand and it’s been fine. Some of their cutting boards are dishwasher safe and some are not.
No i did not put them in the dishwasher..i washed it by hand…
I have had my 3 board set since fall and it has worked well for me. Very durable and very nice set. I would purchase it again based on the product I got but that does not mean all the products a person receive are durable–just my experience with the products.

http://www.boscovs.com has the Lazy Susan and the Bamboo Tray at great prices, also some of the serving pieces. It says one flat fee for shipping, but you have to register to see what it is. The seriving tray was selling for 9.95, so a much better deal than Modnique.
