I’m super disappointed in Office Max. I signed up for the rewards program to get the $5 trade in on used cartridges. I had 5 waiting to turn in.

She says well i can take them and make sure they don’t end up in a land fill but I can’t give you any rewards credit for them. What? These can’t be recycled so we can’t give credit for them. But I can still take them.

No, thanks, Staples will give me money for them. BOOOO 🙁

Officemax? They usually only give $3 reward for used cartridges. It was Office Depot that was running a special last week and giving $5 for each. What brand was your cartridge? Because I thought Officemax and Office Depot accepted all brands, unless they were damaged. I’ve been turning in my Lexmark cartridges at Officemax with no problems.

Its Staples that offers $2.00 for ANY cartridge. I buy my ink online for like $4.50 a cartridge and then recycle them for $2.00 staples credit. GOOD DEAL!!

What site do you use? My ink is $40 each! Insane!

Epson… I don’t recall the details at this point. I followed the links she had up. Either way she told me they weren’t going to give me ANY credit so I kept them to take them to staples at least… They’ve always taken them.

Let me get this straight…The employee says that your cartiridges can’t be recycled so they can’t give you credit for them, but then also says she can take them and make sure they don’t end up in a land fill. HUH?

the magnetic board is coming up at 1 cent right now. I was looking into it, but its huge 2 ft by 3 ft. and you have to have it shipped, can’t get it picked up at store 🙁 but if someone needs it, still a super deal ritght now.

    • Lisa

Do you know what the link is for the magnetic board? Thank you!

Office Depot was the one taking the Cartridges for $5 (thru yesterday) Staples had a $5 trade in special last year, so I have been saving mine up ever since. I turned in 10 yesterday and will get $50 in rewards for it. My plan is to save them up until there is a special like this (usually once a year).

It may be worth taking a look around your store. I was in ours in Shreveport, Louisiana, this week and got the Avery brand 5 tab pocket insertable dividers for 24 cents a pack! I wouldn’t have even seen them, but a store employee pointed them out to me when I had him price check a different type. Our store had HUNDREDS of packages filling a shelving unit, all clearanced to 24 cents. I’m very pleased with their quality and they even have tabs you can print on the computer!
