I hope my CVS has the Trident Vitality, I was at their blog event, it was a tasty gum and I like it for free!
And I hope the Hershey’s Nuggets are on sale, they are my new chocolate addiction!
    thanks!
Shopping list set up for first thing in the morning!

Will CVS accept an ECB that expired one day ago?? Thanks!

    • Jess G

It really depends on how nice your cashier is. I was told that they aren’t supposed to, but my cashier did it for me since I’m a frequent shopper.

    • Melissa

YMMV since theres no set corporate rule, some stores take them as a courtesy. I have one that will take all CVS coupons (ECBs, store coupons including the ones that print from the coupon machine & $/$$ emails) up to 7 days past exp, but another store that I shop from time to time won’t. always best to ask your store manager.

    • Melanie

That just happened to me, $14 worth of ECBs, one day late. I was pissed at myself! I felt it wouldn’t hurt to try. Cashier said, no problem. Yeah!

    • Michelle

I think it really depends on your store. At one store I was told that they never expire and the one down the street from there said they would take them up to one month after they expire. I’ve heard that others won’t accept them at all if they are expired.

    • Jo Ann

Some CVS’s will. My CVS will accept an expired ECB as long as it’s less than a week old.
Ask the manager at the CVS you frequent most. Sometimes if you shop there enough they might work with you. HTH!

    • Lindsey

Most CVS stores will. I’m in IN and I’ve never had a problem using expired ECBs. I’ve even used ECBs that expired 2 months before. If one store tells you no, just go to another one.

    • Jessica

I have asked managers about expired ecb’s at a few local locations and all of them would take them if they weren’t more than a month expired! If the cashier says no, then ask for the manager. It’s money they have already received so they shouldn’t have a problem letting you use it. This goes as well for the CVS coupons by mail, internet, or “magic machine”.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just used an ECB from 2010 at mine tonight. My cashier didn’t seem alarmed by the date on mine. You should be okay!

      • Emily

Does it scan correctly? Some of them don’t like manually entering it.

        • melis

no, it will beep, and they have to enter it manually

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wow! That’s very amazing. My closest store wouldn’t take expired ECB so I drive to another CVS 5 miles away and they take it no problem. I don’t know for how long though. I have only had expired for a day.

    • Nbrown

I was told at my local CVS that they no longer expire, even though they have an expiration date. They will take any CVS coupon/ECB after the expiration date. Not the ones in the weekly flyer but the ECB’s and the coupons they send via email. It will beep but the cashier overrides it. I would think they policy would be nationwide???

      • Mitch

I go Sunday mornings because of the cashier. She always helps with the overrides when needed. Always make friends with them!
        http://www.gaynycdad.com

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

where is the cvs that takes your expire ones at

    • Mary

A CVS manager told me tonight that I could call the 800 number and get my expired ExtraBucks reissued.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Good luck getting that done. I called last month about some that I let expire and was told that they can’t reissue them anymore. Of course, it’s probably like everything else and depends on who you talk to.

      • Melissa

I think only your quarterly they can reissue, but the others once they expire, they don’t have the system anymore to process weekly ECB deals to reset them. However **sometimes** you will get a rep that will work with you, depending on the situation. I did not get my ECBs reissued, she sent me a GC in the amount of what I lost instead, above & beyond what I expected.

    • McKala

What are CVS ECB and how do they work?

      • Betty

        Read Collin’s CVS tutorial posts.

  3. Kiesha

For the Garnier deal the dandruff shampoo is included and there is a $2/1 tearpad available. I’m not sure if the dandruff shampoo costs more though!

  4. Melissa

My shopping list this week at CVS is rather short! Just Wisk, Quaker & Trident. CVS better step it up, b/c they are slowly loosing me as a customer to Rite Aid!

    • Jo Ann

Yep, each week I have a harder and harder time finding items to roll my ECB’s on. Not good for me or them. Hope their sales get better SOON.

      • Debbie

That is exactly right. Their sales have not been great lately, and if they don’t do something about that real soon. . I will have a lot of ecb that will be expiring!

    • Anon

I so second that! I was just talking to my bf about cashing out my ecbs! Loving Rite Aid so much more.

    • Racquel

Ditto to that sister. I am so in love with Rite Ai dnow it’s not even funny. I even began using out all my extra bucks just get stuff that I normally would pay for at the grocery store.

      • Emily

I just can’t switch to Rite Aid…I gave them a year but EVERY shopping trip was a nightmare. Still…I agree that CVS isn’t doing so well keeping me shopping there. One or two items that are only “so so” deals is not enough to get me in the store!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I know what you mean! I actually started out Rite Aid shopper. But they gave me so much problem with coupons etc I just got tired of dealing with them. Besides, the 24-hour store changed to 8 AM to 8 PM so it doesn’t fit my schedule any more. So I switched to CVS. I am bummed that they don’t have any good deals lately but I am still hoping that they will come back, and I refuse to go back to Rite Aid!

    • mouni

Same here. It may be because of that hefty government fine they got hit with few months ago! But they better step it up or they’ll lose more! I can’t even think of how to use the 5 off 30 they emailed me this week! 🙁

      • Trish

Use it on Wisk! That is what I would do! 🙂

        • mouni

I have way too much wisk from previous deals . I’m running out of storage lol. I was still able to score great deals today because I found tons of L’oreal and some Revlon makeup at 75% . with coupons they were all free and helped me reach 30. I also used the 3 0ff 10 crt wth the BOGO nivea and made a profit on that. I’m very happy with my trips today to both CVS and Rite Aid! These stores beat the competition even when they don’t have a lot of deals. Got tons of stuff with only tax as out of pocket and stll have lots of ECBs and ups to spare! 🙂

  5. E

The Deer Park water 24pk for $3.33 is YMMV. In my CVS flyer (S. Florida) the water on $3.33 sale is Zephyrhills.

  6. Deb

I’m once again concentrating my energy on RA-lots of SCR MM’s!!!

    • Shannon

Wish i had a Rite Aid here in Indiana! Sounds like you guys get such good deals!

      • Jennifer S

I just wish we had a Rite Aid here in KS.

        • Jermaine

I wish we had one in Texas. All we have are CVS and Wags. When I lived in GA there was a horrilbe Rite Aid, and I said to myself, “this store will suck, I will not miss it”. Now after reading Collins blog I want to go visit a Rite Aid now :).

          • Bessie

Rite aid stores are so up and down it is crazy!! There is one in my area and they are the RUDEST people I’ve met. They follow you around the store as though you are there to steal something! Another store 12 miles away is better. Still not the best customer service though. We should contact them and let them know about the poor c.s.

  7. Anon

I have a question and hope someone can answer this. I have a raincheck on the wisk deal that they had a few weeks ago. The deal on the wisk was if you buy $25 worth of wisk you’ll get 10 ecbs back. Also the wisk was on sale for 2/$10. If I use my raincheck this week can someone tell me how this deal will work with the b1g1. Thanks. I also have the $2 off coupon.

    • Emily

Some stores will take this, and if they do, that would be awesome!! 🙂

    • Kiesha

My understanding is you will not be able to combine the two, you have to choose. You either get a cheaper price with no ECB’s (2/8.49) or your ECB’s that go along with the price of 2/$10.

In other words you would no be able to BOGO the $5 price and get ECB’s.

    • DP

I do not beleive they will honor both. The raincheck for the ECB also states 2/$10 as part of the same promotion.

    • robin

      Anon,
My store has alway said to me that I must pick which sale I want, can’t have both combined.
It would be nice if you could combine them though.
If they did combine them it would go like this:
      buy 6 @ 8.49 (bogo pay for 3)=25.47
      -(6) $2.00 =12.00
      ——————–
      pay 13.47 get a $10.00 ecb = .57 each

      GOOD LUCK

    • pakiann119

when I had got a raincheck one week the cashier told me to hold on to the flyer so that when I come back i can show them the flyer with my raincheck and i had no problem

      • Anon

Hey everyone, thank you for all your inputs. So much appreciated. Happy shopping everyone.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i love this week thanks Collin!

  9. Tisha in SC

I will skip CVS this week also.

    • Christa D

Me too, seems kind of slow so unless my ECB’s are expiring, I’m not going in.

  10. Deb

Hi couponers! I have a question….For the Old Spice Deoderant….If I buy two deos and have a coupon that is $1 off one (the one I am purchasing) can I then use the b1g1free coupon for the second one???? I’ve had couponers that say yes, and store attendants that say no..HELP!

    • susan

Yes. I’ve had issues with CVS on this, too, but that’s the way it’s supposed to work. You should speak to a manager if the cashier won’t do it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Use the $1/1 first – then the BOGO. You shouldn’t have a problem!

  11. susan

The Kissables is a better deal at Publix right now. It’s 20% off, so $14.39, so $7.39 with the $7 off and you don’t have to deal with the ECBs.

  12. NolaGirl

Re: Revlon Cosmetic products (found on page 6) $7.89 = $4 Ecb (limit 1)

Some CVS Shoppers received a Get $5 ECB when you buy 2 Revlon products (mine expires 2/07/11). Also, the CRT (aka Magic Money Machine) is printing a buy $10 of cosmetics get $3 ECB, so, don’t forget to scan your card before shopping!
    Scenerio:
Buy 2 Revlon Cosmetic products @ $7.89=$15.78 use the buy
$10 of cosmetics get $3 ECB & the
    $ 5 off 2 Revlon Cosmetic products
    $ $1/1 (x2 from 1/16 SS if available)
Pay $5.78 & get $4 ECBs (could be a money maker if your 2nd item is less than $4.11).

    • Amy

My CVS has a lot of their make-up 75% off. I bought The Custom Eyes eye shadow for $7.89 and a nail polish that rang up at $1.45. Total $9.34. I used my $5/2 Revlon Cosmetics and got $4 ECB; so only paid $0.34 for both. I did not have the Revlon coupons in my SS1/16, but if I did, it would be a money maker!

  13. Brianna

Heads up…. The Excedrin Deal… If you have it, my $2.50 coupon automatically adjusted down to $1.99, so no MM. (Is cvs doing that now too??!! dang)
Also… not sure if it’s because I went in on a Saturday, but the $3/$10 Cosmetic Q did not print out for me when I scanned my card at the MCM.

  14. Lorrie V

Could someone please help me out with YMMV? Thank You:)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Your Mileage May Vary…some stores will, some stores won’t…some cashiers/managers will and some won’t

  15. AndeH

Can you use Walgreen’s Register Rewards at CVS or Jewel Osco? Seems like I always have these, and have trouble rolling them on things I can really use. Seems like they expire faster than the CVS bucks.

    • Rachel

You can use the Walgreens RR’s at Jewel….and my Meijer takes them also (because they say manufacture coupon on them.) As far as I know, you can not use them at CVS.

      • Casey

Meijer takes Walgreens RRs???? REALLY?? That’s AWESOME!! How? Do you go through self check out or hand them to cashier? Ever get funny looks? Meijer WILL be reimbursed right?

        • Rachel

Yea, another customer in line at a Walgreens once told me that you can use them there. I usually use them at Jewel, but I know I used them at Meijer once maybe twice…handing them to cashier in regular line with all my other coupons. I don’t recall getting a funny look and I know it didn’t beep. I think it just took that amount off the receipt total just like a mfg coupon…. Since it’s a “manufacture” $ they should get reimbursed just like Jewel or Walgreens would. 🙂

  16. Jennifer

There’s a glade deal. Buy $10, get $3 ECB. It says Sense and spray refills are included. Now, do you think the $1.50/1 Glade “Automatic Spray refill” coupon available on coupons.com could be used on the sense n sprays? The pic on the Q is for the larger units, but a sense and spray *is* an automatic spray. Anyone trying it? If it works, 4 refills for a dollar is a great price imo.

    • Beth

I used the $1.50 coupon for the sense and spray refill with no problem 🙂

      • Sarah

This was posted on TKCL, I printed and got nervous because the ad that printed said fits the “Freshmatic”. I printed two (via swag bucks) and then my toner ran out, GRR!!! Glad to know someone tried this and it worked without beeps. I think I’ll still be able to do it by the end of the week.

        • Lighthousefam

Anyone know how much the sense and spray is (before coupon).

  17. PattiT

    I can’t seem to find the $2/2 Cereal Q…only a $1/2……something I’m missing??

  18. Tara B

I’m sure I must have missed this on here, but thought it interesting when I found it in the Family Circle mag (March 2011, pg 74) I got yesterday & wanted to post for those like me!:
“CVS Pharmacy’s GreenBag Tag initiative gives a bonus every time customers bring a reusable shopping bag or decline plastic bags: four scans earns $1 in Extra Bucks.” ! Has anyone tried this/received the extra buck???

    • Jayne

All the time. Everytime I shop @ CVS I have my bag tag scanned.

    • Sarah

      Yep, it is great!

    • Amber

It works great. Plus saves on bringing home more plastic bags. My CVS said I don’t actually have to have the bag just the bag tag, but its easier to just attach the tag to the bag that way you don’t forget it.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How do you get this special tag?

        • Reagan Collum

They are usually on a display right at the front of the store. It looks like a little green leaf. Cost $1. I use mine every time I go!

  19. Ashley

Does anyone know if you can use the $3/$10 cosmetic purchase with a $5/$30 purchase CVS coupons?

    Thanks!

    • Sarah

I don’t think so. Typically you can’t use more than one $/$$ coupons in one transaction.

    • DP

I have done that before with no problem.

    • Angela

As long as your total is high enough when they scan it, it should work just fine.

  20. Jennifer

I am confused on the ECB if can please clarify. So the ECB is money you can use on future purchases? It won’t really help you save money that day, right?

    • suebecca

Yes. You need to pay some money OOP in order to receive ECBs. Once you have stashed up some ECBs, then the deals get even sweeter.

    • muser

ECBs are like “cash back” in coupon form, and they usually expire in a few weeks. You can save money that day if you do separate transactions. Check Colin’s very useful CVS tutorial for a detailed description on how to maximize your CVS shopping experience. It takes a few weeks to get the hang of it, but once you do, you’ll spend very little out-of-pocket when CVSing.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone actually seen the $1.99 Dove Visible Care that has been advertised the past few weeks? I didn’t see it in the store the first week it was advertised. I didn’t even see a space on the shelf for it. Then I saw it last week, but it was marked $6.99. If it’s still marked 6.99, I’ll take it to the reg w/ the circular. It’s worth it, now that there’s a coupon. 😉

    • aperrault

Check in the display area near the cosmetics – that’s where I found it at my store. It was on one of the shelves in its own display.. It was $1.99, then the $1 mq, and I got a cvs q for $.50, so I only paid $.49 for mine!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The lady at my CVS said it was a promotional item since it is a newer product. Neither of my local CVS’s had it either. Very frustrating! 12 oz was the smallest size available.

      • muser

I finally found it! It was marked 2.69, but did indeed ring up 1.99. I was able to get 2 for .99 with the $1/1 printables. Thank you!!!!

    • Kathryn

I couldn’t find it either, but I did notice that the 6.99 was the 18oz. one and not the 10oz. Make sure you check it!

      • muser

ahhhh! Thanks for the heads up 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It was a promotional item at my store. Just make sure you take the smaller bottle – the large bottle was 6.99 I think!

  22. suebecca

Can we use the Kraft Homestyle coupon on the deal this week? The coupon only stay for Homestyle, but that’s not listed in the ad. Only Easy Mac, Regular and Velveeta are shown.

    • mouni

It’s only good for Homestyle. I don’t even remember seing those at CVS. I’ m waiting for a Target deal because Target also has a 1$ off coupon that I can combine with a manufacturer’s coupon.

      • Reagan Collum

Have you eaten the Homestyle? Gag! I snagged it for free a few months ago at Publix. Glad I didn’t pay for it. Eww. My kids even turned up their noses at it with my 7 yr. old opting not to eat.

  23. Krissy

The Herbashines that are on clearance for$3.99 are producing the $10 when you buy $20. I bought six, used six$3 off coupons which brought it down to $5.94 and got $10 back!

  24. Tina

Do you think I can get the total amount of money back if I used ECB to pay for it? Like, I’ve bought a shirt for $5, and used $4 ECB to pay, and $1 oop, if I return the shirt to them, am I going to get back $5 or just $1?? Pls. help. Thanks !!!

    • Brianna

Can you donate it instead? You just dont want to make it a habit because there are some people who do this to scam the system. I think on CVS receipts there’s a date on it to return things by. HTH

    • Nancy K

I bought my daughter a mp3 player at CVS for Christmas and it didn’t work. I paid for it with ECBs so they said that I wouldn’t receive any money back, I could only exchange for the same thing. I have had to exchange it twice and the third one also doesn’t work so I guess I am out $23 ECB and stuck with a Mp3 player that doesn’t work 🙁

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My CVS had a notice at the cashier’s area that they will no longer take any of their CVS coupons after 1 week from date on the coupon.

I got a $2 Bayer Aspirin coupon from the CVS Machine. Add that with the $1 manufacturer coupon and you get FREE Bayer Aspirin.

  26. nikki

The Nivea Lip care products….use the $3.00 out of the magic machine to make the deal even SWEEETER!!!! 🙂 It will make a money maker!

    • Casey

Did you try this already? Is nivea lip care considered “cosmetics?”

      • Julie

Yes, I did this. It is in fact cosmetics. It even qualifies for the CVS beauty club.

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I don’t see anything too great at CVS this week. I have my $10 coupon I bought for $4 awhile back. I do need to get a prescription so will probably go anyway and see what is going on.

My favorite cashier does not work early am on Sundays anymore (my time to go). The cashier who does is not helpful at all even to the point that I quite going early am Sundays. When I ask a question to the “new” cashier she won’t even look up and answer me. It makes me sad because the manger is always so nice to me and likes that I have been loyal to the store. This “new” cashier does not seem to share the customer service enthusiasm that the other cashier did. :(.

  28. scott

the $3/$10 cosmetic CVS Q from the magic coupon printer worked on the Garnier Herbashine FYI making the deal even sweeter – a MM!! – I tried it and it worked!

  29. JessicaB

Heads up on the huggies deal. You can not use the coupon on Snug and Dry! My CVS has the little movers in a box, but they never have my sons size. I bought the snug and dry,. but the coupon beeped and the cashier would not let me use it because it states Little Movers or Little Snugglers!

  30. muser

I had a really great CVS trip today!

I received more scanner coupons than usual:

$1.50/1 Sensodyne or Pronamel 4 oz.
    $.75/1 Suave Haircare
$2/1 Excederin Migraine or PM (ha!)
$3/10 Cosmetic Purchase – the poster above is correct – this went through w/ the Herbashine no prob! I have 4 boxes of hair dye for like $3! AND THEY HAD MY COLOR!

Also, here’s what I scored for the Nivea deal (I ended up abandoning the lip care BOGO all together, because I only had one coupon and couldn’t find anything else Nivea that would bring my total to a reasonable amount):

Nivea for Men body wash Sensitive 16.9 oz + Energy 16.9oz–$5.49 ea. These were the cheapest of the Nivea body washes, and they each had a full size men’s lip care attached to them! They were the only ones that had this. So I was able to use (2) $1/1 nivea for men body washes.
Total: 8.98, get back $5 ECB = 3.98 for all 2 body washes and 2 lip cares, or .99 ea!

I also found the regular Excederin (that is on sale for 1.99) on two different shelves in the pill aisle. One row had a mini (8ct) of the Excederin PM literally taped to the regular boxes! Needless to say, due to that mini PM and the unexpected Scanner coupon, I walked out with a lot more Excederin than I planned on buying. Now does anyone have a headache!?

  31. Brittnee Braun

I didn’t read through everyone’s comments, so this may have already been addressed, but watch your prices on Nivea products. The tags in the store said one thing, but were ringing up for more. Also, my $5 ECB did not print out at first for spending more than $10 on Nivea, and I was informed it was because I had coupons that took my total down below $10. I asked if there was a policy change and the manager said, “Not that I know of, but when we had the same promotion for Dove, we had the same problem. so for the future, it will be off your total AFTER coupons.” She was nice enough to still print me the ECBs. Something to consider, I’m not sure if that will hole true for all things.

On a happier note, the magic coupon machine printed out a $3 off $10 cosmetics coupon, which the register did put towards Nivea lotion and lip gloss.

    • ashley

my trip was the same way. the nivea was marked 2.99 but rang up 3.19. didnt see til i left the store! oh well!

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

heads up ladies.coupon machine printed me $3 off revlon product. Revlon on sale ( select item check the flyer) for $7.89. I bought lipgloss and got $3 off and got ECB in $4 back =)
so the lipgloss final price 89 cents!!!

    • Stacey

I got the same coupon today and did the same deal!! I also got a $3 off $10 any cosmetic purchase. I was in a hurry though so I am going back tomorrow to see what I can score with it.

  33. Jessica

Does any one know what is considered to be cosmetic at cvs with the 3$ off $10 i was wanting to buy 2 of the nivea lip care cause i only have 1 bogo free and buy a body wash with $1 off not sure if it would work…? and does it matter what order i give the coupons for the deal to work? sorry i am new to all of this.

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Jessica, $3 off $10 cosmetic did work for me on Nivea lip care and you can also use it towards hair care products as well. You give your coupons at the end when the cashier tell you your total. I been doing coupons for last 3 weeks and i am loving it lol. I hope that help.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much, I just now started buying the sunday papers for coupons. Its fun playing the coupon game finding the best deals!

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

it’s all about perception! if an item is on sale 2/$5 and you get $2 back in store credit in the form of a coupon for buying 2 then the items that you bought were $5 not $3 just because they give you $2 back.
even if you use an additional man. coupon for $1 off ea. the items then become $3.
the cost of something is what you pay out of your pocket!
the credit coupons that the stores give you its just that. its just a way to keep you shopping in that particular store and spend more of your money.

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

a consumer never really gets anything for free. coupons are just a way to help consumers not pay the retail price.

    • Abby

…and a majority of the people here know that. But you know what? Every $10 I spend at CVS and the like is $30 I’m *NOT* spending at Walmart or Costco. You aren’t addressing the shopping trips where we use pocket change to pay our bill and walk out with several bags of merchandise. That is the key to shopping/couponing. Find ways to lower out of pocket spending. Guess what? I just did that. At CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid, and I will do it next week and the week after that.

    • skipchuck

Actually you can get free stuff. Lots of us do it all the time. It’s called rolling your in-store credits (or @ CVS it’s the extra care buck or ECB). On your first purchase you have to invest some money out of your pocket just to get the ECB ball rolling. Using your example, say you buy something that costs 2/$5 and you get $2 back in ECBs. Now the objective becomes to only purchase an item(s) that will be $2 or less — use manufacturer coupons along with your in-store coupons (extra care bucks) to get the item price down — THEN be sure to buy an item(s) that generates the same (or more) amount of ECBs. I purchase things for free or very cheap using manufacturer coupons, and earn in-store credits (ECBs) all the time. I’ve saved hundreds, probably thousands doing this. I generally have $5-10 ECB to work with. I’ll never go back to not using coupons and in-store credits.

  37. bETH

Is the $3 off of $10 coupon for pre-coupon total?(I want to use some of my cosmetics coupons and was wondering if it all had to total $10 after said coupons)

  38. Summer

If anyone is bored out there in internet land, feel free to work out a way for me to use a $5 off of $25 with little or none OOP. Thanks! : )

  39. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yeah for abby!!!!!! The point that I made was that it’s all perception. marketing. the new phase is “it’s like” the thing is… it either is or it is not. I have seen people post their transactions including the the store coupons/credits that they get AFTER they pay out of pocket into the final cost of the items. People who are new to this whole coupon clipping thing can easily be mislead. My question is where are the coupons for REAL food??? raw materials? most seem to be for canned goods, household cleaners, toiletries, processed foods/packaged foods that is high in sodium and sugar, or mostly dairy coupons. If your filling your fridge with food from drug stores then you’ll end up really giving them all of your money when you find yourself in the pharmacist line filling scripts for high blood pressure and diabetes and I hope one has health insurance…

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

their just the same tired coupons over and over again…………

  41. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

don’t get me wrong I use them sometimes…. I just want some new and different ones. perhaps we should get together and demand something new from different manufacturers that make better goods. why can’t we get the same excitement and bargains that we get from drug stores at stores like whole foods? well I know why but I just wish that with all these forums and websites that the people can join together and change the the type of coupons that these particular manufactures force us to have.

  42. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

skipchunk now i agree… let me start off by saying that i NEEDED some toothpaste, dish detergent, and some cough suppressants. I went to Rite aid with my list and some coupons that I had and made three different transactions. I had to break the items down into separate transactions in order to maximize my cost out of pocket but it was worth it. If I had not then I would have been leaving out of the store paying more and store credits/coupons that I may have lost or thrown out by mistake. My objective was to get what I NEEDED and make sure I used what the store was offering me, use the coupons that I clipped all in one shopping trip and not have a reason to go back other than GETTING WHAT I NEED.

  43. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    break down….
    store= Rite Aid
shopping list= toothpaste, cough suppressants, dish soap
    three transactions=

#1 colgate toothpaste buy 2/$5 get $2 store coupon after purchase. bought 2 and use two man. coupons that were buy one get $1 off. total $3. got $2 store credit after purchase

#2 halls cough suppressants buy 2/$2 get $1 store coupon after purchase. bought 4 and used two man. coupons that were buy two get $1 off and the $2 credit from first trans. total $0 got two $1 credits

#3 palmolive sale just .99 no store credit for buying it but i used two man. coupons one was buy two get $1 off other was $1 off 1 and used the two $1coupons from trans # 2 total before tax .03- add tax .15 total
    total shopping trip $3.15
    total items 9
do the math 9/$3.15= .35 for ea. item

  44. Jody

I cannot find the BOGO Nivea coupon. Help!

  45. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

grr.. i dont have the bogo nivea, only got 1 herbashine coupon :/ i hope i can get something out of the 3/10 cosmetic coupon though.. i AM a teenager btw, so yall know how much i love makeup:P

  46. shannon

Does anyone know how we are supposed to get the coupons when they say they are in the magazine? Do we buy that magazine in the store?

    • Crystal

Yeah if its the Reinventing Beauty Magazine it is usually in the CVS stores near the registers or right when you walk in. None of my CVS’s ever have the updated one though… Need to check in on that sometime. Its annoying.
