   I was getting a red box last night, and the guy next to me said “use DVDONME and you get a free one!” It worked too 🙂 Dont know if Collin already posted that one…

  I had a guy tell me some codes as well. Unfortunately I had already used them. You can use the multiple use codes on all your debt and credit cards so they can really last awhile if you and your SO have a couple cards.

  You can’t use free codes for Online Rental reservations. 🙁 The codes only work at the actual Redbox machine.

    Can someone please tell me how these codes work? My husband went to use them last night and it was asking for an email address. Do I have to sign up for an account or something at Redbox? Any information would be helpful. Thanks

  Yes – you have to create an account (linked to your CC and Email address). If you use a FREE code you won’t be charged anything but if you don’t return the movie by 9pm the next day your card will be charged $1 + tax. Redbox does this so that if you lose the disc/keep it for an extra day, they can charge you. Hope that helps!

  Supplying your e-mail can sometimes me beneficial, sometimes not. Right now if you rent two movies at one time using no codes, they will e-mail you a code within 72 hours. Also, another time they had a special if you rented 5 within a certain time period, they would e-mail you a free code. We missed out on this one because we didn’t ALWAYS put in our e-mail.

  Once you have a movie in your cart down at the bottom of the screen there is a button to click for add promo code. After you add the code it will take $1 off and you can check out.

  the Redbox near me asked you to start the transaction with the promo code. when you first get to the machine you have to “rent with a promo code” Then you see $0 due when you check out.

    BREAKROOM is another one thats been around for a while but still works for anyone who hasnt used it yet. Or if you have, use it with a different card 🙂

  I use the same email for both my cards and never had an issue. I also am able to rent two free movies on the same card with the first Monday free movie code that they text message out (one is mine and one is my SO).

  I would also recommend signing up for the free movie Monday at redbox.com because the first Monday is coming up!

    Worked for me! I can’t remember the last time I paid for a redbox movie since all these codes have been floating around. I guess they count on you not bringing it back the next day.
    I find most of my codes on insideredbox.com.
