Also, check out the email I received from reader, Jennifer, who was able to score some awesome bargains at The Children’s Place in-store…

OK so I went to The Children’s Place yesterday to check out the clearance and let me say the second I walked in there were about ten racks right up by the door… sweaters, pajama sets, skirts, and so much more for $2.99 and then I went to the back and found my son some jeans for $4.99! How can you beat that? Thank you for your site and I hope this sale can help someone as it did me! I stocked up!

Has anyone been to the store to see if they are having this deal also?

My store has only big kid clothes. Nothing for my little ones.

I went to the store yesterday. Not a ton of stuff, but I found a few great items like a fleece jacket for $2.99. I also found some smaller items for $0.99, including toddler slippers and hat/gloves sets.

I went Friday and they had tons of racks…but only two were $2.99. Everything else was $4.99 and $6.99 and up. I was a little bummed because last year when I went, everything was $2.99….there were no racks that said “& up”.

You can get some cheap clothes for kiddos but they are exactly that…cheap. I bought my two boys ages 4 and 5 jeans and they just don’t hold a candle to Baby Gap. Within a couple of weeks the jeans started popping rivets and developing holes by the snaps on the waistband. My four year wears husky so his jeans came from online and they were even worse than the ones I bought in store. Same style but different weave/weighted material used on the online jeans. The shirts have poorly sewn seams too. Now I have gotten some really nice things for my 2 year old daughter but it was their yoga tops and pants that impressed me the most. The cashier had given me a few free shipping codes when I brought back their jeans and I still have them in my wallet. Heck, I still have a sizable merchandise credit gift card too! I get such great deals from Kohl’s and Gap ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe I’ll take a look but I don’t have my hopes up.

You will have to share some of your Gap experiences…the only good prices I get are on clearance and then it is like one small rack.

    • aysha

i disagree, a lot of the items are still in great condition, i am able to use them all season with regular washings and can pass them onto other family members ithout any snags, rips, or fades. esp the boy polos…
i dont think i have ever been able to find items priced so low in any other stores…i find kohls brand to fade very fast…carters is great, but never $3…

I agree I have never had a issue with CP clothing tearing up, it has been used by my oldest and passed on to the younger daughter and still looks great. I only get deals at Gap when they run 40 additional percent off their clearance.

childrens place has a great return policy. I have brought back items that have worn too easily and recieved my money back.

    • Cheryl

I love Children’s place clothes. My daughter has never worn them out. I love that I can get name brand clothes for less than I would pay at Walmart.

I have always had good luck with the Children’s Place. In fact I like how their clothes wash up and don’t pill up. I have even bought stuff used at yard sales and used it on 2 kids. I just can’t afford Gap.

Went to the outlet yesterday and got some GREAT buys! Shoes for 4.99, winter coats for 2.99, lots of other racks for 2.99, hats/gloves for .99. Plus stacked with a printable coupon!

  8. Carissa

I went to the store in Providence, RI…most of the items were brightly colored, but I found a great baby boys knitted sweater! Very nice and since it was $2.99 I figured I would hold onto it for a cheap baby shower gift. They were also having other sales on winter clothes and jeans. I love these sales!!!

Off topic, but at Target today most of the stuff in the Stock up event area was on clearance for 15% off. There was one aisle that was 30% off, and that included huge boxes of LUVS diapers!

    • aysha

      • Leah

Hopefully by March it will be marked down even more!
