Super cute! I snagged a set for my soon to be 5-year old daughter who has just shown an interest in math. 🙂

  2. Tammi

Got one! Like that you can use PayPal!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

how or where you found paypal?

  3. The Paid Housewife

This is such a great deal! Too bad I do not have any more room on my fridge for anymore kid magnets. 🙂 Thanks for sharing Collin!

  4. Kim

I just wanted to point out that it says that these ship from a China warehouse. I would question as to whether they were free of toxic paint or lead.

    • kristen

So true…I think I may make some with materials from Michael’s. It will cost a little more, but my daughter would love to paint them herself!

    • Bre J

I bought these from merit line for stocking stuffers… I thought they were MELISSA & DOUG!!! They are awesome… but I would HIGHLY recommend getting 2 sets… My 4 year old loves making a “higher” number, like 89 and figuring out what it is.. or adding two digit numbers. But the fact that they come from china means they have a delayed shipping… I think it took over 2 weeks to get them! The magnets on the back are REALLY small too, just an fyi.

  5. Laura

I wonder if they work for stainless steel?

    • Blair

The front of our stainless steel is non-magnetic, but the sides are.

  6. Kathy

Thank you for posting! Got it! My 3 yr old will love these.

  7. Krystle

Got two..one for my little guy and another one to throw into a baby shower basket..nice colors!

  8. chefstinsonswife

Thank you!! My 4 year old is just learning some basic math skills and these will be perfect for her!

  9. Stephen

These ship from China? How can you be assured they are “safe” and will actually arrive?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have bought a bunch of things straight from China. Shipping is actually pretty fast too. And to the other people “afraid” of china made products… if you turn over 90% of all your baby toys, they are Made in China…..

Remember the 101 fake food pieces… CHINA 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        they’re not inspected!

  10. Anonymous

Grabbed a set. Good price, I like the paypal option. My 21 month old just started counting (last night she actually counted from 1-10!) so hopefully these will come in handy for learning some more math.

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

they are really cute but after reading the comments about China..I’m afraid to get them.

  12. Geraldine

cute, but i think i will skip this one, a little bit worried about the china shipping

  13. Sarah

Love these I bought the leapfrog alphabet ones @ christmas when you posted the amazon deal.. my daughters loved it and these numbers will be great and the colors are really cute!!! I have bought from this company before shipping is reasonable considering its coming from China and the fact that its free shipping is even better!!!

  14. Shanna

It says free shipping but then when I click checkout it tells me shipping is $7.88. Anyone else having this problem?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Ground shipping showed for me as free but there were other methods of shipping which charged.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It may have to do with your address. I tried shipping to my Mother’s PO Box and it charged over $8.00 for shipping, I changed my shipping address to my own and then shipping was free. FYI

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    I am a teacher snagged 4!…love paypal feature…THANKS!

  16. Blair

Reviews aren’t too great and it says not intended for a child under 12. How weird is that? Thanks for posting though.

  17. Christina

Almost everything comes from China, just walk down the toy aisle and try to find one toy made in America.

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Did anyone read the warning. I want to get them, heck $1.49 is cheap but I worry if they will be safe for my 1 year old.
    Warning:
CHOKING HAZARD – Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.
CHOKING HAZARD – This toy contains a small ball. Not for children under 3 yrs.
CHOKING HAZARD – Children under 8 yrs. can choke or suffocate on uninflated or broken balloons. Adult supervision required. Keep uninflated balloons from children. Discard broken balloons at once.
CHOKING HAZARD – Toy contains a marble. Not for children under 3 yrs.
This product is not intended for children under 12 yrs.

The 5 reviews were good and bad too.

    • Laurie M.

      I don’t think I’d buy wooden magnetic letters for a 1-year old.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks, I think you are right. These are so cute, I think they would be great for older kids. Thanks Collin!!!

  19. Brandi

The reviews are mixed on these….complaints of not getting order and parts missing. The magnets look small to me, and the first comment on them states she wished there was an extra magnet on them so not sure if they will stick very well as much as my doors open and close….Thanks anyway Collin!

  20. Rachel

and while you are ordering from them, here is a 50% off earrings code! 🙂

    MLCEARRING020250N

  21. CM

I think it’s great! The small parts warning is probably because the magnets are small. My daughter doesn’t put stuff in her mouth anymore, though. If the magnets don’t stick well, I’ll just add another one – easy enough. Thanks!

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I would buy them, if they were inspected by the US. Sure, a lot of things we buy is from China, buy it’s inspected. Buying directly from China something that is likely painted is a risk I’m not willing to take with my child. To all of you who do risk it: good luck! I hope there’s no lead!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Inspection means absolutely nothing, that’s why we have so many recalls and the worst offenders are the big name brands mattell, Disney. The safety of any toy you buy in the store is nothing but a guess.

  23. Sarah

I was reading the comments and I see a lot of fear based on the fact they are coming from China and worries of being safe..about a year ago I bought the cartoon characters magnets and they had a free lead paint testing at the mall near us, and I got mines tested they all came back as safe!! Now shipping does take a little longer than normal because its coming from china, and I do understand the concerns with chocking hazard, but thats with any magnetic or anything of a smaller size, my magnetics were small about the length of my pointer finger, but my daughters loved them!! My only one complaint with them is that after continuous play the magnetics stop working but for 1.49 I can let them play with them on the floor, I know it will help my daughter because she always writes her fives backwards!!

    • April

Thank you for posting!! I was feeling like a bad parent. 🙂

      • Sarah

Not at all my children are my first priority nd sometimes we over look things !! But you know what did come back positive for lead, do you remember those little wooden finger people they would fit on the tip of your finger I had them as a little girl. They came back positive… I played with them my whole childhood and I turned out fine….but our parents didn’t know about lead paint..sometimes the more you know the more fear you have.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m still not buying them, just not worth the risk

  24. Nicole

Just scored a bunch for additions to birthday gifts…too cute!

  25. brej84

These would also be cute just to put on your child’s bedroom wall, up high so they can’t reach them. They are so visually cute they would make cute wall art. You could stick them to the wall with wall putty, I think its call tack-it it just sticks but doesn’t hurt the wall when you remove, it kinda looks like gray plah-doh. Just an idea.

  27. mrskcanino

This is great. I ordered two sets since the price was under $3.00!

  28. Stacey

Why all the concerns about the lead paint? I understand that it is dangerous. I understand that it can cause serious problems If INJESTED. These are magnets that are not recommened for children under 3. Is you 3 year old eating these? An in large quantities?

I don’t mean to start anything and I’m really sorry if I upset anyone. I just wanted to post my opinion too.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

there are people buying them for their younger children… read the comments. Either way, I want to keep lead out of my house 🙂

      • Anonymous

Did you ever stop to consider that those of us who are ordering for younger children are not ordering them for the children to play with unsupervised, but perhaps sitting there with them on the kitchen floor while mom or dad manipulate the magnets on the fridge?

Not everything that comes from China has lead in it. If you’re worried about it having lead in it, get it tested when it gets here. If you don’t want to take the chance, don’t order. I have ordered things from China and gotten them, not only with a good shipping time, but completely lead free….and they weren’t inspected by U.S. inspectors.

        • Heather C

Exactly….stop preaching and either buy the deal, or don’t! I bought them for my 11 month old and I am not going to let him play with them until he is past the mouthing stage…not because of lead paint fears…but because in general I think he’s too young to play with a magnet set!!!!!

    • kristen

3 and 4 year-olds may not put everything in their mouths, but they still put their fingers in their mouths a lot (unless my child is just a weirdo) so if the paint chips off it’s possible it could end up being ingested. I personally don’t want to risk it, but it’s not like I think others who choose to buy them are bad parents or anything 🙂

      • Stacey

I didn’t think about the paint chipping off. I don’t think people who buy them are bad parents. I don’t think people who don’t buy them are bad either. More power to you if you stand up for what you believe in and don’t purchase them.

  29. lorpk

    out of stock

  30. Serena

Bummer!! it says “out of stock!”

  33. jessica

  34. lana2201

    All sold out! Bummer

  35. cyndi

    And… they’re sold out. 😛

  36. Ana

I don’t think there are any more Available 🙁

  37. Marty Byington

Sold out but I got some cute letter for $3.49. Thanks

  38. lisa s

i just got 2, now they are sold out

  39. Robin

These are super cute, ordered one set. Thanks. And just to state I have ordered quite a few things from meritline, yes it comes from china and takes awhile so its a bit cheaply made but it has all been worth it for the little I have paid for it. Most of the toys and other products we buy at Target and Walmart is made in china so Im no so worried about it. They sell lead test strips at most hardware stores and I can get them no problem seeing my hubby is a maintanence man and can grab a couple form work.

  40. krystle

    sold out 🙁

  41. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If they are shipping from china expect to wait a month for them to arrive. I ordered something from this site and it took over a month to get here. Looking at the reviews of this site this is a very common issue.

  42. Melissa

If they are from China how is it ground shipping? Just curious, lol.

    • Selene

      LOL! I didn’t catch that.

  43. Andrea

They have the alphabet for 3.49 still available with free shipping.

  44. Maria S.

Plastic magnetic letters and numbers at Walmart, Target, etc, for about $1.00 a package 🙂
I’ve always liked the standard ones, instead of ones made to look like pictures, because I think they could be confusing to children just learning.

  45. Selene

    I totally missed it. 🙁

  46. Cami

I just ordered the number and letter set with no problem, try again!

  47. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just ordered too with no problem

  48. Anonymous

Just ordered mine. Don’t think they’re out of stock anymore.
