Through February 21st, Macy’s is once again hosting the “Biggest Denim Event of the Season” sale. Here’s how it works…. For ANY denim purchase that you make in misses, petites, women’s, men’s, young men’s, juniors or kid’s denim departments, you will get a $10 Savings Card at the register. You can then redeem each savings card through 3/3/2011 on your next sale or clearance purchase in ALL apparel departments including shoes and accessories (some exclusions do apply). You can see all the details in their weekly ad (page 27).

I love your site! I was at Macy’s today and got a great deal that I had to share. Right now, when you purchase any pair of jeans – regular, sale or clearance priced, you get a $10 certificate off of your next purchase of any amount. I was able to buy 3 pair of name brand jeans (Jessica Simpson, Levi’s and Sean John) for $31 and got 3 $10 certificates!! I also used the 15% coupon that is available on their website for President’s Day.
i wonder if Macy’s have any clearance on jeans for guys!? its kind of hard to get them at a good deal… I really want to get so many pairs so then I can get a leather jacket for a good price 🙂
you can’t combine the $10 coupons, so you wouldn’t be able to add them together for one expensive item, like a leather jacket. (sorry!)
Looks like this is a better sale than last time. Many brands were not included and everything had to be on sale.

I don’t know for sure this time, but last time I bought my son a ton of the Green Dog jeans. These jeans are perfect for my kiddo who needs 2T length and 18 month waist! I think they were on sale for 12.99 and I got back the $10 cards!

It appears that the exclusion of clearance is online only not in the stores.
I don’t know if the rules are the same from last time but Levis were part of the deal as were clearance jeans.
I was able to get a pair of jeans for $14.99, then for the next transaction the same day used the $10 credit for a $9.99 shirt (bought a candy bar as filler). So in total got the jeans, nice sweater and candy for $14.99!
IF I needed more jeans I would go back!
I just got back from Macy’s and the cashier handed me 2 of them for purchasing 2 girls’ Levi jeans on the clearance rack for 6.98 each…money maker!! So, either it is up to cashier or mine wasn’t paying attention.
Gainesville? I live in St. Augustine and I just assumed there was one in Jacksonville since that’s where the malls are. I haven’t lived here long. I will have to do a google search, but wow Gainesville is too far for me to drive for jeans if that’s the case!
I did this the last time they did this event but when I went to spend my $10 certificates I had picked out some clearance baby items and the checker wouldn’t take any of my certificates ! She said I couldn’t use them on clearance, I couldn’t use them on socks (wtf??) and I couldn’t use them on anything that was on another sale ( two of the items were on a 40% off sale ). ALSO, she refused to give me back my items so I could take them to another checker!
My daughter was fussy and I was in a hurry AND I waited til the last day to use them ( should have planned better )
I know each checker is different but I’m not going to be participating in this again – good luck if you do though! I Hope everything works smoothly.
I had a bad experience too the last time they had this event. I bought a pair of jeans and a bunch of tops. The saleslady was VERY HELPFUL and used the $10 on another pair of jeans. Well…when I tried on the jeans at home one pair didn’t fit as well, so back to the store I went. They REFUSED to honor the $10 off that return for anything!!!!
Macy’s coupons I have found are essentially WORTHLESS…..TOO MANY RESTRICTIONS! Especially on high end items. Better to just shop the regular sales.
I had the same kind of experience last time. I also waited till the last day to spend mine. Turned out they had a special going on that day where all clearance was an extra percentage off, thus making the coupons invalid since it was a ‘special buy’ or something like that. I had to use my coupons on worthless stuff just so I wouldn’t lose them and was extremely dissappointed. I wrote in to corporate and got a call back the next day that they had many complaints about this same thing. This time I won’t wait!

I did this last time, bought some great jeans for my son on sale for 12.95! I only did the deal once but was wondering can you roll this? Can you buy a pair of jeans then use the certificate towards another…
Lisa, I did this last time as well… you can use it to buy a pair of jeans, but if you use a jeans coupon to buy jeans, you won’t receive a coupon with that purchase. I am not sure if it was just my cashier or store (Boise, ID) but that is the way they explained it to me. I didn’t understand why I wouldn’t receive one as it was not computer generated, but….. for me they said no.
My cashier let me roll them. I bought an inexpensive pair of kid jeans–>got a $10/off–>then bought another pair of jeans and a shirt—> got another coupon
I did this about 10 times in one day. I made sure she kept giving me coupons by asking sweetly, “now I get another coupon right, cuz i bought another pair of jeans” She gave one and then said “wow you sure are getting some good deal” almost accusingly, but then I quickly reminded her, “I’m just helping you get rid of clearance so that you don’t have to do inventory of it;)” she liked that

I thought someone posted last time that they don’t carry any women’s jeans in tall….can anyone verify?
Online at macys.com they have a $10 off any pair of women’s denim happening. It automatically deducts $10 for EACH pair. If you reach $99, then you get free shipping. You can reach the $99 before they take off the $10 for each pair. I just ordered 8 pairs of $14.99 jeans that were $119 before promos which got me free shipping. Then it took off $80 ( 8 $10 discounts) for a total of $39 plus tax!!!!!!!!!!! I just picked all inexpensive jeans to see if any looked good. And if they don’t, I can just return them. That was a steal!!!!!!!
I just tried this, put 4 pair in my cart and nothing came off for the denim. They did apply free shipping and 15%. I didn’t want to proceed by entering credit card info so I didn’t go further.
Thanks for the tip Penny! I just did as you said and got 8 pair too! I am between sizes so ordered a few different sizes and will return the ones that don’t fit. $4.99 for jeans is not bad! Remember they have to be women’s not juniors to get the 10 off automatically.
I also just tried to put 7 pairs of clearance jeans in my cart to get the free shipping and $10 off for each pair. The $10 off was not removed at checkout. I don’t know how you got this to work. The $10 off deal excludes the clearance jeans…

Online I think you can only do women’s jeans, not juniors. It just worked for me. Search women’s jeans and then search lowest to highest price and choose the 14.99 ones. It will take 10 off each pair at the bottom of the checkout page in red. It will also take off the $8 shipping if you buy $100 pre discounts. The code for the additonal 15% cannot be used with this deal.
I did this last time, and I thought it was a great deal, but it was hard to redeem the reward.
I wasn’t able to use it on anything that was part of their “additional x,” off, because they said that would be “combining coupons.”
I was allowed to use it on sale or clearance, but not sale or clearance that was part of any additional promotion….clear as mud, huh?
I was still happy with how I made out, but I took wish Macy’s would be clearer with their terms. I feel bad for their cashiers!
All the jeans I placed in my cart were women’s jeans by Style & Co. I deleted my cookies and tried again to place an order and again the $10 off for each pair of jeans was not deducted. I wish I knew what y’all did differently so you got the discount. If anyone figures it out, please post.
It’s because not all of the jeans qualifies for the $10 off. Same thing happened to me, so you just have to play around with it. HTH
Livvy I just purchased five pairs of style & Co jeans, two boys tops, two girls tops and a girls Capri for about $54 dollars tax included shipped. I clicked on the main homepage and then the link/ banner to the denim deal. After that click the womens and select the style&co jeans. They should show in your cart with the $10 off on the right side of screen. There were five -$10 for me. Total savings on my purchase was over $200. And don’t forget to use code PRESIDENT for extra savings at checkout. I saved an extra $3 with that. Hope that helps!
Thanks for the responses! I finally got it to work. The Style & Co. Jeans I liked best (they were $16 something) didn’t take the $10 off, but some other jeans that were $14.99 did. I got 6 pairs of jeans for $45.00 shipped. The PRESIDENT Code didn’t work for me, but I was happy paying $45 for what I got. The Macy’s website is the most buggy I’ve ever seen. It took me forever to navigate the site, but it was worth it.

I just got back from my local Macys in western PA. They did not have any mens jeans on sale, nor any teen boys. They had a few juniors, kids and toddlers, and a TON of women’s. All in all, after discounts and using the certificates, I spent $68 and got: 5 pairs of jeans, 8 pairs of women’s underwear, a pajama set, lounge pants, and a sweater. Total savings after discounts and $10 off certificates was over $400! Thanks for posting about this deal!
I am so disappointed. EVERY employee at my Macy’s says something different about how much you have to spend to get the $10 coupon. I bought a pair of kids’ jeans for $4.97 thinking I would get it and the lady said, “oh honey, you can’t get a $10 coupon for a $5 pair of jeans!” Made me feel like an idiot. I called when I got back to work and had an employee in another dept explain it..she said on ANY pair of jeans I should get the coupon. So back to the store I went and asked yet another employee. They said “they have to be $10.” UGH, I give up.
I agree on the many frustrated posts here. I was at Atlanta Macy’s yesterday. I was at the Baby dept, Mens Dept and Womens dept. and every cashier has his / her own version of the deal. Kept hearing “You Cannot redeem $10 coupon from a Baby Item over another Baby Item”, “I cannot give you $10 for Denim purchase under $10”, “Cannot roll the $10”. It was very frustrating spending all that time, trying to get a good deal. Wish Macy’s had clear instruction on their ads. I just purchased 3 Kids item, got 3 $10 coupons and left. I did not have the energy / passion to pursue for more.
I had trouble at my store too. I tried buying 2 pairs of boy’s jeans, use the 15% off coupon and rolling the coupon. I was told if I used the 15%, I couldn’t get the coupon and that NO way could I roll the coupon! So, I ended up getting 2 coupons and leaving. I went to a nearby Macy’s on my way to dinner to redeem. I did get 3 items free and purchased another jean/shirt combo. I didn’t get another coupon though, as the cashier said it was an “ensamble”. SO, in the end, I spent $43 and saved $86.46.
Even though it says “DENIM” some cashiers interpret it as only on Jeans. YMMV. I went to a different department and a cashier gave me one for a denim jean jacket. I got a couple pairs of jeans clearance, 2 jackets, a jean short for $1-$2 each! Great deal. Thanks

The cashiers have not clue what is going on with the sale, me either. So far a I have been able to roll it and got 3 pairs of jeans for $15 and still have a $10 q to continue to roll I just didn’t have enough time today to look. IMO it’s worth putting up with these cashiers to get this kind of deal, I normally wouldn’t say that but I’m getting $50 jeans for almost nothing!
If you have 4 $10 certificates from purchasing denim can you use all of them at once on another purchase? Like a pair of $40 shoes?
The coupon says it can not be combined with other offers so I don’t think you could use 4 of them in one transaction
I just got home from Macy’s in south charlotte area. I did pretty good. i bought $229 worth for $38. I bought 2 pairs of girls jeans size 12, 3 pairs of boys size 16, 1 pair of pj pants, 1 tshirt, and 3 pairs of juniors jeans. I still have 3 $10 vouchers left, so I need to go back soon, but ran out of time tonight. This was perfect timing as my 13 year old son just grew another inch in the last month and now his 14’s are just above his ankles 🙂 i didn’t really even have time to go to the women’s section for me. I had a wonderful cashier in the junior section, who suggested rolling the vouchers with the pairs I bought in the junior section, her only thing was I had to spend atleast $10 to get a $10 voucher to start off the rolling. So once I looked at the kids dept. I took all the items back to her to make sure there wouldn’t be any problems.
I did very well. 2 toddler jeans, 1 junior jeans, 4 pair men’s dress socks and a cute black dress all for $19 after rolling coupons! My store ran out of coupons and were giving out photocopies. I was worried that they wouldn’t take them in other departments but they did. Thanks!
YAY!! I just got back from this deal, I found 3 pairs of American Rag Jeans on clearance in juniors (originally $50 each) marked to $9.80!!! So I bought all 3 and used my $10 off $30 coupon (for macys star rewards members that came in the mail) PAID $20 for 3 pairs of jeans PLUS got 3 $10 macys denim vouchers. So, with those 3 macy’s denim vouchers I scored 3 practically FREE sets of jewelery ! YAY… So all in all i paid $20 for 3 pairs of jeans and 3 set of jewelery!!! WOW =)

I plan to go tomorrow, not sure what the Selection will be. So I’m not sure how it works, I get that you buy a pair of Jeans, but than how do you roll it, do you need to buy another pair of jeans to use that $10 denim vouchers towards those pairs of Jeans and you get an additional $10 denim vouchers? Please help me with this issue before I go out tomorrow.
