One of my favorite “me” activities is when I have the opportunity to escape to my bathroom alone (i.e. with no kids in tow) and take a nice, long bubble bath. In addition to the fact that I love soaking in the tub, I also take this quiet opportunity to catch up on all the latest entertainment news (yep, I spend this precious alone time reading In Touch, Entertainment Weekly or any other gossip magazine that I can get my hands on…sad but true!). When I finally force myself to get out of the bath and venture out of the bathroom back to reality, I cannot stand how dried out my face and skin usually feel. To combat this dryness, I have always used Ponds Cold Cream (I honestly cannot live without this cream and love the price!); however, I did recently have the opportunity to test out several different L’BRI skincare products.

Tanya, an independent L’BRI consultant, was nice enough to send me quite a few products from this natural skincare line for men and women. I really enjoyed trying out these products (especially the gentle freshener and gentle moisture lotion) and liked the fact that natural aloe vera is the main ingredient in the L’BRI product line (along with a mix of herbs, botanicals, and vitamins). The L’BRI lotion did leave my face feeling refreshed and rejuvenated and I especially like the fact that L’BRI has an amazing guarantee: If you don’t notice an incredible difference in your skin after using L’BRI’s 3-step skincare program for a month, simply return the product, and your money will be gladly and promptly refunded.

Thanks to Tanya, a L’BRI Independent Consultant, two lucky Hip2Save readers will each win a L’BRI Skincare Trio Kit (a $52 Value!). Each kit comes with a cleanser, freshener, and moisturizer; and each winner will be able to choose a skincare kit that is best suited for their type of skin.

If you want to try out L’BRI products, Tanya will send you a Free Sample Kit which contains a week’s supply of L’BRI cleanser, freshener, & moisturizer in addition to eye repair gel, face & body scrub, and facial masque (keep in mind that you will need to pay $6.75 shipping & handling for the sample). In addition, spend $60 or more and snag FREE shipping and a FREE sample as well.

I used to read those magazines too. I would buy them religously, until I saw an interview that Patrick Swayze did, when he was fighting cancer, that he felt those magazines hindered his abilty to stay positive and keep fighting. I never touched another one again.

I have several ponds cold cream I got on a sale at walgreens. I have tried to use it several times and each time it really makes my skin oily and break out. I get dry skin at times and need the moisturiser. I have always used the garnier face moisturiser before I put on my makeup and it worked perfect; helped me put my make up on with out cakeyness and keep my skin balanced and protected from uv rays. I only got the ponds because I thought I’d save money – I even tried 2 different types. I guess it is not for all people – but I have to admit, my friend started to make goat milk soap and it really PH balances my skin and exfoliates so well I feel squeaky clean with out any oils on my body or face – and it has no harsh chemicals (all natural) like most over the counter products do.

I have to admit, finding the right skin care product is a trial and error method, so it is always nice when a company allows for a free trial!

I ordered the free sample, just to test it out. I would like to find something that works for my face, so I am hoping it works.

It’s funny that you should mention your personal face care products. Just yesterday I thought about emailing you to see if you could do a post about makeup/face care products and tips in general to see what others use and find that work well.. I am not getting any younger and I can use all the help I can get to fight wrinkles and age spots. .Also, hopefully they would also be inexpensive or ones that we could use coupons on! I know one tip that I use is Vaseline on my lashes. I really wanted to try one of the expensive products to length and grow lashes, but due to the cost I did not buy them. I researched on the internet and someone was talking about using Vaseline at night for these exact things. I haven’t been using it too long but I have found that mascara looks better the next day when I use Vaseline at night. Hopefully, this will eventually make my lashes grow!

I just wanted to give a little more info. about the L’BRI products. If you check your current skin care, I can almost guarantee you water is the main ingredient. Well, our skin is water soluble. If it wasn’t, we’d blow up like balloons when we took a shower : ) So if the main ingredient (which is usually like 80% of the product) is water, it’s not going to penetrate your skin. It just coats your skin; therefore, no moisture is getting down into the 2nd and 3rd layers of your skin.
The masque is kind of our signature product. It is literally one of the craziest thing you could ever feel on your face!
I use the Jelly on my baby when she gets diaper rash. I also use the body wash on all my kids. Some of the baby products that state No Tears contain an ingredient that numbs their eyes, that’s why it doesn’t sting. Not all products contain it, but some do. So I figure, if for years women have been saying to put Aloe on any skin irritation, dryness, cut, and anything that needs healing, why wouldn’t I be using this all the time? I guarantee you, you won’t be disappointed! ♥
