Rite Aid: Gain Laundry Detergent (40 Load) $0.88?!
UPDATE: From reading the comments, it appears this $3/1 peelie coupon may in fact be a Rite Aid store coupon. If that is the case, you can stack the $3/1 coupon with the $1/1 coupon found in the 2/13 RP for a final cost of $0.88!
I’ve heard from a couple of you regarding a great deal on Gain laundry detergent at Rite Aid. The Gain laundry detergent (40 load powder) is on sale for $4.88 this week and reportedly there are $3/1 peelie coupons on the boxes… so just $1.88 after the peelie coupon. Yes the cahier told us about this last night and said we could use both coupons. However, they were out of the powder 🙁 so we got a rain check 🙂 she said we could still get it with the rain check if the coupons are expired before they get the product in. YAY!!
I DID!! I DID!!! 😀 I got the liquid detergent today for $1.88 plus tax. I had a the $3 off coupon from a late January/early February coupon insert. It was a GREAT deal!! Im so glad I hung on to that coupon as long as I did. sometimes its worth it to wait it out! I didn’t notice any of the powder with peelies though, I went straight for the liquid.
What $3 coupon did you have from coupon inserts? The only $3 Gain coupon I have from inserts is for Gain fabric softener and not detergent…help!!
Honestly, I do not remember which one it came from. I didn’t start getting the news paper for coupons until the end of January(I think), and I have had this coupon pretty long, so I really think its from one towards the end of January(last week or two?) or 1st/2nd week of February. It was for detergent or sheets. If you have coupon inserts all the way back to the beginning of the year, it probably wouldn’t hurt to look through them all that far back. Sorry I can’t help more.
I believe that coupon was actually for liquid softener or sheets.
I didn’t pay attention to it. I know I used the $3gain at walmart for the sheets, had one left and used today at rite aid. The register took it, no beep. Maybe I got lucky
The $3 coupon is a peelie attached to the product, and since it is a Rite Aid Store Coupon, you can combine it with the $1/1 manuf coupon (I believe its in the same insert as the $3 Fabric Softener coupon)
The peelie is actually a rite aid q, so you can combine it with the $1mq and get it for $0.88!

I bought the HE liquid detergent at my Rite Aid, they only had 5 of them, but they do have them.
Probably not no HE. I am going to go look though. I never find HE detergent cheap. 🙁

when target had the febreeze/febreeze sport deal, i had been to the store the weekend before. there were at least 30 bottles of feb sport with hangtags on them. 2 days after the deal started i went back and all the tags were pulled off! i was pissed and irritated. why the h*ll do you need to pull almost 20+ qs off the products. luckily, whomever did this was short because there was one left all the way in back. so disappointing Katy, Tx.
We have a peelie stealer as well! So frustrating! Isn’t this fraud/stealing since they aren’t buying the product? People can be so nervy!!!
I actually think it’s shoplifting as well. since the peelies are for the products they are taped on.
I work in a store where they steal all the coupons of the products, and the pads of coupons,,, I have seen alot of them for sale on ebay lol,,, I dont think you should take the peelies off of a product unless you are buying that product,, and then wait till you get to the cashier for them to peel them off

I got 2 of the powder this morning at RA! The rep was there putting on the peelies and I had to wait for her to leave the isle before I could go jump on the deal! I was so excited. I would have bought more but I only saw 2 peelies so they might be limited.

SCORE! I went in to my Rite Aid tonight and they had 6, then my manager said hold on and she called two other stores…..she is collecting 40 of them tomorrow all with coupons on them from other stores that do not sell those products very often! I’m so excited for inner city stores!!!!!!!

I’m in OHIO, I live in a nice little town however 15 minutes in either direction are city stores that mainly exist to sell liquor and everything else collects dust……..so my manager often calls and transfers items, picks them up the next day and brings them in…SHE ROCKS!

Just in case anyone wants these…I am not a big fan of the Gain scents that I have found, so-I have 4 of the $1/1 detergent, 4 of the $3/1 fabric softner if someone wants them. I can mail them to you. I also have 4 of the $3/1 tide stain release as well. Since I don’t use these, I would like to get them to someone who does. Hate to see a high value coupon go to waste!

All the peelies were taken from the product at my rite aid. I think I know which couponer in my town took it all. =(
Get her Mey!! For the most part, I think couponers and freebie junkies are very sharing. However, we have one in our area that will block aisle with her cart at Rite Aid so you cant get to the sale item. And I mean BLOCK – turn her cart sideways.
I would say “excuse me, just moving your cart so I can get to these…thanks”….that shopper sounds ridiculous!!
Sorry you have to deal with that. Unbelievable! I’ve also read of some people who will block others in the parking lot on Sunday to prevent others from getting the sales. These are not rude couponers, but just plain rude people period.
cracking up here . . I can’t believe people. I am coupon crazy, but still polite and kind to others. I figured if she needed the sale items bad enough to be a boob, have at it. Had a great coupon day anyhow. Spent 45cents at Rite Aid for 3 bags of items got 2 ups and will get 1SCR and another chance for 3 off 15 survey code. Then went to Walmart and spent $17 (saved $33) Then went to Bath and Body – went to the different stations – tried new scents – took quiz – and my cashier there is a doll. Let’s me do several transactions so came home with free flower bag and free full size lotion. Free travel spray and free full size siganture collection item. only had to purchase one $10 item and one other item which was mini snaitizer for 1.50. Had extra coupons I was able to share with other customers so they could get extra freebie items too. We took drinks from home in the car and got a footlong for $5 at subway that our gal cut in 1/3’s. purchased pretzel chips BOGO at walmart so we had a mini picnic after shopping. So I had a fabulous day with my 2 younger kids and the crazy cart lady got the Gain. Think I won!
I would pick her cart up and move it. As long as you don’t touch her, she can’t really do anything.

None available. Seems to be my lucky lately. Too many extreme coupon hoarders clearing off the shelves. 🙁
You can thank the extreme coupon TLC show for that. SO many people started crazy coupon shopping because of what they saw on TV.
im feeling a little bad…it is it rotten that the peelies at my store were on the tide. and i took off two and bought two of the gain with it? but its not like i took off all the peelies and kept them for myself or sold them right?
That exact thing happened to me, saw all the Tide with the coupons not the Gain. I told the cashier about my problem and she had no problem letting me get my 4 boxes of Gain using the Tide coupons !!! Yipee !!! I was lucky to have a very nice cashier who worked with me !
two things for those who cant find the deal or the peelies i check the tide powdered detergent also thats where i found mine. as far as them being on sale the shelf had them listed at $8.99 but i checked this weeks flyer that was still up and low and behold their in the flier as on sale. good luck!
Collin- I know how you say you’ll tell anyone who will listen about your savings … well…. I have got to SCREAM it to the WORLD! I got 2 boxes!!! I am so excited!!! Granted, I had to run to 5 Rite Aids across town (out of stock of all powder) but found one store with Gain, but no peelies on them, but I saw the peelies on the TIDE as they said for Gain/Tide 40+ oz powder!!! Normally I don’t get in my car and wander for a deal— but I had some errands to run and incorporated the Rite Aid stops in between!!! I woke up this morning and felt like a kid ready to watch cartoons, except a penny pincher going to get my $0.88 cent Gain! I got my 2 and I am SET for MONTHS! Woo! And to those shelf clearers and peelie stealers, please leave some for the single girls out of college… new to the sticker shock of the real world!
