Woo Hoo! Rite Aid currently has a hot +Up Reward offer with the purchase of select Scunci products. Through April 16th, purchase any Scunci elastic or headwrap and get a $2 + Up Reward!

Check out the emails that I received from readers, Barbara and Dani…

Hi, I just picked up a 6 pk of girl head bands for $1.99 and it triggered a $2 UP reward. I didn’t try it with any other ones but it was a bit of a moneymaker with my 20% discount.

I’m sure you know about the Rite Aid monthly up reward on Scunci elastics.  I did a little testing and wanted to pass on some additional information.  I received a two dollar up reward on each product except the value packs with clips which are not included.  There does not seem to be a limit at this time, but we know how monthly deals may go.  Starting 4/3, the plain elastic packs are $1.99 with a 2+up reward, limit 2. Just thought I would pass this along because someone else may want to take advantage now rather than later.

As Dani mentioned, the Scunci Elastic Hair Bands 18 ct. will be on sale for $1.99 beginning April 3rd-April 9th and will produce a $1.99 +Up Reward making them free (limit 2 offers per household). At this time, there does not seem to be a limit on the $2 Scunci +Up Rewards that are valid through April 16th but this can always change.

I have long suspected that employees of the major drugstores monitor these blogs…get ’em while you can!

If we are not supposed to take advantage of a sale, then they might rethink the whole creation of and emailing to everyone with a wellness card.

What does the post mean, with her 20% discount?? Am i missing something?

    • Erin

You earn discounts on your wellness account based on your spending level over a calendar year. At 500 points (dollars) you get 10% off most everything in store. At 1000 points, 20% is your discount.

    • Sarah

you get 10% or 20% discount passes if you have shopped there enough to have collected a certain amount of points. You don’t have to do anything special to do this. It will just print out with your up rewards.

      • Bonnie

Can you use the 10% off with other coupons such as upp rewards during checkout?

        • Nancy

yes you can, the 10% will come off the regular priced items you buy, it will not come off any sale priced items and you can combine this with your coupons, riteaid coupons, and up rewards. HTH

        • Erin

The 10% pass will take 10% off all items, deactivating sales prices. The pass is ideal on SCR items and free after Ups products, but not worth losing all other sales in most cases. Discounts on cards (earned at 500 and 1000 points) give you the best price, either your discount or the sale price.].

          • Sarah

?? I have the 20% discount and if it’s on sale I receive the sale price and if it is not then I receive the 20% off. I don’t understand the deactivate portion of your post. If the discount is working against you, then you should contact corporate.

So does this start 4/3 or is it going on now?

    • LaToya

The $1.99 price starts this weekend. But it’s generating a $2 +Up now…so you may pay a little more….but you can now get the $2 +Up.

I just checked this deal at my Rite Aid, there were NO Scunci products priced below $3.99. As always, pricing is regional.

    • Julie

The selection varies a lot by store too. I went to a couple of RA’s in the same area and found items in one that were not carried in the next. I did find simple pony tail bands from 2.50 to 3.50. With the up and wellness discount, it was more appealing than driving across town on Sunday just to end up with a raincheck.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Cindi, My Rite Aid didn’t have them priced correctly either, (same $3.99 the lowest) but their price adjusts at the register at $1.99 when you scan you card and you have the right product (Their ad advertise the head bands 18 ct for that price and they should adjust them manually if the price doesn’t adjust automatically, since that’s what they advertise).
Also, I just bought 2 head bands, for 1.99 each, and received TWO $1.99 and ONE $2 up reward from buying Scunci Products – so $2 Money Maker (actually $3, because they have a $1 off from Video Values).

      • Geri

I can not find the video value coupon. Please let us know where you found that. Thank you!

Only product I found that was close to $2 was a 6 pack of Kids girls elastic headbands and they were $2.19. It produced the $2 up reward. Note they are neon colors so I would feel pretty uncool as a 25 year old wearing them 🙁 Guess they will be fun for my 2 year old to play with!

  6. Dawn

Yah, thanks for sharing Collin. I just went to Riteaid and got a 6 pack scunci elastic head bands that was 2.29 but with my discount 2.06, and I got a $2.00 reward which I used to buy another one. Thanks!!!! I just love your posts. My daughter loves the head bands and the other one I got she will use to go with a birthday gift this Friday for her friend.

Just went to RA and to my surprise they had quite a few. I bought the ones that were 1.99 and then got my 10% off…and then a $2 +Up = MM…. I also tried this on Scunci bobby pins: (FYI) it does not work.

The workers at my Rite-Aid in the Cleveland Ohio area are on strike. I am a union supporter so I will not shop there until the strike is settled. Their pay is just above minimium wage and they are striking for their survival.

  12. jen p

we bought scunci rubbery ponytail holders and did not get the $2 up 🙁

  13. Yvonne Bush

Didnt find any $1.99 scunci products at my Rite Aid
