Wowie! It seems that T.G.I. Friday’s has an awesome offer available in select restaurant locations across the country. Check out these emails that I received from readers, Suzie and Cynthia….
Hey Collin! My husband and I went to eat at TGI Friday’s this weekend and they have a promotion going on now where you can get a $10 gift card for your future visit if you try one of their new menu items. My husband and I got 2 entrees off the new menu, both were priced at $10.99 each. Then we received 2 – $10 Gift Cards for our next trip!! So it was kinda like our meals were $0.99 each!!
My local Fridays has this awesome deal right now. The have a “test menu” of about 20 items…including apps, salads, sandwiches, steaks….some inexpensive eats…..when a guest orders from this menu, they receive a $10 gift card good for their next purchase….a potential money-maker! I spoke with my local Friday’s who confirmed this deal. Thought I would pass it on.
* Please note that my sister in Boise, Idaho contacted her local T.G.I.Fridays and they stated that they knew nothing about this promo. 🙁 On another note, Suzie (the reader who emailed me about this deal) contacted her local T.G.I.Fridays in Middle, TN and they confirmed that this promo is indeed a regional deal, so it may or may not be available in your city. In Schaumburg, IL last week we definitely got out TGIF gift cards. I’m not sure how long this promo is going to last though.
We went in Ann Arbor, Mi and got the deal. We both ordered off of the menu and each got a
$10 card, however they will not let you use both gift cards at the same time on your next order FYI.
We ate in Charlottesville, VA this past weekend & the hostess just handed us a $10 Gift Card on our way out. It’s only valid through 4/15/11 though. 🙂

I live just outside Houston and they are doing the promotion here til April 15th.

The one in Saratoga Springs, NY is in this promotion. Also they said with this deal you couldn’t use any coupons but we did and they also gave us the free gift card to come back.

I just called the one in Columbia, MD and they said they were participating in this promotion, but the $10 gc is one per table not one per guest 🙁

They said they did a promotion like that last summer.
Also said that their restaurant is a “franchise” (like I didn’t know that? lol) and that the “other” restaurants participating in that promotion must be “corporate” restaurants. Sounds like she made that up though. LOL!
i don’t know if Fridays is one of them, but there may actually be some truth to it. I know, for example, McDonalds has some stores are “corporate” owned and some that are owned by an individual. The McDonalds coupon booklets we often hear about are only available at corporate owned branches. Hope this helps.
I worked for Fridays and the one here is corporate owned. From what I understood most of them are. Lots of chains have some corporate and some franchised (like McDonald’s–we have both franchises and corporate ones in our area…and the corporate ones pay better!).

OK, so I apologize to the person that I spoke to on the phone at the restaurant because I mentioned here (not to her) that I thought she was making it up (about some restaurants being corporate owned and some being a franchise). Thanks to the others here who set me straight by confirming what I was told on the phone. Guess if it doesn’t make sense to me I shouldn’t assume that it isn’t true. Lesson learned 🙂

They are doing it in Murfreesboro, TN. We got it a few weeks ago.
My TGIF in New Jersey gave me the promotion for both meals. I went to use it today, and I can’t find my receipt anywhere!! I got to get organized =-)

VA – Winchester and Front Royal locations are participating.
My co-worker and I both received a $10 card about a month ago. We didn’t order anything special from the menu for it. The manager just came and give it to us. We went back today for lunch to use them and the cashier let us use both of them as long as we rang up each order separately. Love TGIF! We are in Fairlawn Ohio.

Newark, DE Friday’s is doing this promotion, but I don’t know if it’s $10 for each promotional item ordered or if it’s only $10 per table.

Everett, MA location is participating! It’s the one in the Costco and Chuck E. Cheese shopping plaza.
They had it in Winchester, VA about a month ago. Not sure if it’s still going on there.

Tried calling 2 seperate locations here in Tampa, Fl and they both stated they havent heard of any promotion like that. Not fortunate enough like some of the other areas sadly.
The locations in Metro Detroit are participating 🙂 Its 1 per person, I have done this a few times! You can’t use other coupons with this though.
Can you comment which store specificially please… I would greatly appreciate it… (Hopefully something in oakland) and by the way what do u recommend as a dish?

I ate at the Nashua, NH location a week ago. My husband and I both got the card for our $8 cheeseburgers and fries. Good deal but note you can’t use both of them on one check so try asking for separate checks on the next visit. We couldn’t use a coupon the day we got the cards and we can’t use any coupon the day we use the card (even the % off on the receipt for doing their survey).

Not in Huntsville, AL apparently. Said they didn’t even have the “new items” menu coming out till the end of the month.???
Las Vegas, NV doesn’t have the deal, nor knew about any promotions that their corporate office was running now for any where in the country.
I am in the Memphis, TN area and ended up calling 3 different locations before finding someone who knew about the promo. LOL Was told by a corp. location it might just be for franchises and vice versa. BTW, if you are in the area, the Winchester location is participating.
I was told by the manager that you CAN get more than 1 GC per table, but you will not get the gift card if you use a coupon/discount. He also said that the GCs are not valid on some things like the pick 3 entrees or whatever they are that are excluded on most of their coupons. Dine in only.
They will only redeem 1 GC at a time. So, if my husband and I go out to eat and each order an entree from the new menu, we will get 2 GCs but will only be able to redeem one on our next visit. My location will be handing out the cards until the beginning of May and they expire May 15th.

This deal is working at the Reading, PA (wyomissing) location… the catch is you need to specifically ask for the promotional menu they just don’t tell you about the special promotion. Regardless my hubby and I had amazing entrees priced at $12.79 ea. and received 2 $10.00 gift cards to be used for a future meal purchase.

Columbus, Ohio is not participating. I called the Polaris location and they didn’t know what I was talking about and the Reynoldburg location said they weren’t doing it anymore. Hmm…does that mean they already did?! Also, I called the Tri-County mall location in Cincinnati, Ohio for my mom and they ARE participating. Maybe I can make it home to visit. lol

They are supposed to offer this in Fairfax VA, but when I was there last month, the hostess and the servers had no idea what to do. I saw another two customers (couple) requesting the manager to get them the gift card. They waited for a long time and eventually left without getting the card. I totally forgot to ask for it and left the restaurant after the meal. Of course the server didn’t volunteer. So I never got it either. The prompotion is good until end of May so hopefully they know better how to handle this by now.
I am a bartender at Fridays and only corporate stores are participation in this. You can not roll these. If you you use a coupon on your meal you will not get the 10$ gift card unless manager approved at that store. It’s a great deal but you also cannot use it on a 4 course menu! Also make sure you tip your server pre discount total! 🙂

Called the Avon, IN location and they are participating! Yeah! Said, you have to order a new menu item (off this special menu of 20 or so items) and not use a coupon at this time, then you can get a “$10 value card” which is not a gift card but more of a coupon that expires in May sometime (so she thinks!) I’m so pumped!! Might have to try this tonight! Thanks Collin and everyone else! Also, she said this is an all day deal right now.
Rochester n.y. at greece mall u have to ask and u can order any thing and the manager will give u the $10.00 card. one per table and only good untill 4/15..good deal!!!
