Rite Aid: Unlimited +Up Rewards for Nivea?!

Wow! It seems that the *HOT* Nivea deal at Rite Aid may be even hotter! According to Southern Cali Saver, there does not seem to be a limit to the number of $5 +Up Rewards that you can receive when you purchase $15 worth of Nivea Body Wash for Men or Women. Even better, it has also been rumored that this deal is tracking on your Wellness card so you do not need to purchase all the Nivea items in one transaction.

Here’s a reminder of the deal scenario valid at Rite Aid through April 23rd:
Buy 4 Nivea Body Wash for Men or Women $3.99 each
Total = $15.96
Use 4 $3/1 coupons from the 4/17 RP
Pay $3.96
Get a $5 +Up Reward (when you buy $15)
Final Cost FREE + $1.04 moneymaker!

(Thanks, Southern Cali Saver!)

If I get the Nivea Cellulite products would I still get the $5 +Up Reward?

  2. Heather

Its probably a glitch in the system. This week they are trying out new software that will track how many +up rewards you get for certain products, and printing them at the bottom of the reciept (they are going to be putting a limit on everything…) This way, if an +up reward doesnt print out on someones slip, its easy to tell if they already recieved it or not.

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

when i went this morning and got mine it tracked it like i was working my way to another reward?!?

    • shannon

my rite aid has been doing this for a couple of months now, just like cvs, it keeps track on the bottom, and you can purchase them in different transactions and it just keeps adding them on. so nice!

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

this deal would be great if you had coupons…… the coupons were not in my paper and they were already gone on red plum when I read your post…..boohoo. I always miss the good deals.

    • Summer

You could hurry and buy some on ebay or from a clipping service and hope they get here before the deal is over!

  5. jennifer Bean

I live in Southern California and went to Rite Aid last week and used coupons and my +up rewards didn’t print on my receipt. When I asked the cashier about it, he said that if you use coupons you cannot get +up rewards on that purchase. Has anyone else ran into this issue???

    • misstracy

      I use The $ 3.00 Q’s on mines and i got my $ 5.00 this Morning.

    • Brenda

Your cashier was wrong. Please call 1-800-RITE AID. They will verify that you purchased the right items and mail the upRewards to you.

    • Penny

Your cashier was wrong… I didn’t have Gillette ups print and I had to call CS. They are sending new ones. 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My 5Ups printed at RiteAid this morning, but the manager at Walgreens tried to tell me the same thing. The RR didn’t print for the Always deal and he told me it was because I used coupons. He said it’s always been that way. Sounds absurd, right? Aren’t coupons as good as cash for the store?

      • Bridgette

Not sure if you know but the Gilette was limit of 2

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This is not true!! I work at Rite Aid and it doesn’t matter how many coupons you use, the UP Rewards should still print!

    • Jennifer

I ran into the exact problem. I was told I didnt get my UPS because I used “too many coupons”. I called corporate and they told me they would mail me my UPs. The cashier was not helpful at all. It makes me nervous to shop there if the UPs are questionable. I showed him where it was advertised and he just shrugged his shoulders and told me there was nothing he could do.

      • RiteAidgirl

Ask for a manager next time. I work for Rite Aid and they want your experience to be a good one.

  6. nenndre

Finally, I got a good deal ! Thank You 🙂
P.S. – usually when I try these deals the shelves are always empty ! :/

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

There is a lady that clears the shelf all the time at my local Rite Aid. Grrr…she bought 10 Air Fresheners this morning. They (Rite Aid) are tracking and had a cashier check this lady out before knowing there was in imposed limit. (This was enough to get $10 RR for spending $30 as well.) This woman got paid $10RR to buy every one on the shelf. I am glad I don’t buy things just because they are free; I wouldn’t have any time left over to relax.

      • mouni

Yeah but if she needed to buy 30 $ worth to get the up reward then maybe it’s not her fault (unless she does this with everything). Rite Aid needs to stock up before having deals ike these. Don’t get me wrong I can’t stand shelf clearers but in some cases it doesn’t take much to clear the shef at Rite aid. Like when they had the cookie mix deals. I was first at the store and they only had 4 bags of the cookie mix. So if 2 people take two each the shelves wil be left empty.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i buy stuff all the time just because its free…and they do need to stock up when something is on sale..

        • Alea

These “free” deals come all the time for lip balm, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, bodywash, and most your basic toiletries. I never stock up / clear shelves during one deal – usually buy one or two of the item and that’s it. We are pretty well-stocked on toiletries to last a good while and donated quite a bunch around Christmas. There really is no need for people to clear shelves. All these deals come around again and again.

      • Angel In Perrysburg

I am confused. Our RA has the air fresheners at 1.89. How can buying 10 get you 10rr? Is this something that is unadvertised because I happened to buy 10 today because I had 5 coupons that were expiring. Just wondering if I missed something?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Ask for rainchecks!!! I get most of my deals from using rainchecks. It also gives you time to acquire more coupons to make the deal sweeter!

      • nenndre

yes i did asked for rain-checks before but the right guard body washes at my all Walgreens shelves are still empty and coupon already expired !!! same thing happened with clean and clear body wash ! so frustrating….

  7. felicia

Of course I didn’t get the insert or make it home in time to get the on-line coupon for the body wash. I can’t believe in just 3 short months I’ve become so addicted to couponing I actually get upset when I miss out on these deals.

    • Stephanie

Don’t get upset, they come back around. I coupon a decent amount, but not like most mom’s or families do as I shop for just 2. But, in the year I have been doing this and the several years my boyfriend’s sister has been doing this a lot of body wash deals have come and gone, especially Nivea. It will come again.

    • kelsey

Don’t get upset! The first year or so I would get upset too but like Stephanie said, they always come back around. So relax ! : )

    • Summer

buy some coupons on ebay or from a clipping service and cross your fingers that they show up in time! : )

  8. Jess

I actually hate it when there isn’t a limit!

    • momwhocares

I just learned today it is against Idaho state law to limit customers to their purchases. So, Riteaid is going to limit the +up rewards and have the receipts tell the customers when they have reached their limit. This includes if they customer expected to get 8 +up rewards and they only got 6, if the limit was 6 – the receipt will say the limit was reached at 6. But, the ads will also say the limits too, so the customers know.

There are many wags in my area that limit what a customer buys, like they will say you cannot buy more than one RR deal per offer per day, because the manager feels like it. Well, again – I just learned they are all in violation of Idaho state law.

I wonder what your state laws are and maybe that is why they aren’t limiting sales?

With that said: I still think people should be respectful and not wipe off shelves.

      Here is the law:
104.LIMITATION OF QUANTITY OF FUNGIBLE GOODS (RULE 104).
Pursuant to Section 48-405A, Idaho Code, as incorporated by Section 48-603(17), Idaho Code, it is an unfair and deceptive act or practice for a seller to offer fungible, mass-produced goods to the general public with a limitation on the quantity any one (1) consumer can purchase: (1-21-92)
      01. Personal, Family, or Household Purposes. When the proposed sale is to a person who is buying the goods for his own personal, family, or household purposes. (1-21-92)
      02. Non-Services. When the proposed sale involves goods which are not offered in conjunction with the rendering of services, other than services normally associated with standard retailing. (1-21-92)
      105.COUPON SALES (RULE 105).
For purposes of CPR 104, a seller may limit the quantity of goods per coupon if the actual limitation is contained on the coupon, and the limitation is clearly and conspicuously disclosed. (7-1-93

      – the coupon law means if the coupon says limit one coupone per purchase or limit 4 like coupons per transactions – they can limit the sale. But, the store cannot limit you to buying more of that item, you just can’t use more than the limit of like coupons.

      • momwhocares

Oh, however – if there are no +uprewards given and you still get a good deal -ex: BOGO sale on BOGO coupons. The store cannot limit the amount of purchases one customers makes. So, if they wipe off the shelves the manager will be in violation of state law by stopping the customer from doing so. So, I am not sure how RiteAid plans on handling that ?

      • Carol

Even if they can’t limit the number of purchases, which I actually think they can, they CAN limit the UPs or RR given for a purchase.

        • momwhocares

Yes you are right Carol. That is what I said – Riteaid is going to limit the +up rewards to help avoid the buying to much per customer. But, no they can not limit the amount of purchases according to the law. I am not sure why you just said, “which you think they can.” Riteaids in Idaho are having meetings with the cashiers due to corportate stateing it is illigal for them to limit the purchases- that is how I found out.

          • momwhocares

Oh and as far as RR – they can limit those too. But, they can’t tell a customer how many items they can buy. If the Wags ad does not state there is a limit on the RR deal – it is against Idaho law to limit the customer. Read the law I just copied and posted it right there.

      • Megan

They should limit the number of items in their ad that they can purchase at a “sale” price then, instead of just having a general sale for example Gillette Deodorant 2 for $6, it would be Gillette Deodorant 2 for $6 on your first 4 purchased.. or limit 4 at the sale price. Then they wouldn’t be limiting the number of items you purchase, but the amount you are allowed to purchase at that sale price! ….If you can’t tell I am in favor or limiting as I don’t feel it is necessary to act like every Sunday is Black Friday at my local Rite Aid..

    • holly

Me to because then I don’t have a limit and don’t know how much I should get.

  9. Malaree

I went to Walmart today and was shocked that they were exactly 3.00 for the body wash… needless to say, I got 7 for free!!!! Wish I would’ve had more coupons 🙂

    • rachel

Thank you for posting this. I was just about to ask if anyone knew how much the Nivea body wash is at Walmart. My rite aid doesn’t stay stocked very well.

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Nivea body wash is on sale for $3.79 at Walgreens, minus $3.00 cpn, $0.79!!!

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I found the bodywash at WalMart for $3.00. Had to pay sales tax on it but still I got 2 womens and 1 Mens for 54 cents. I know there would be a profit at Rite Aid but you do have to find things to use the Ups.

    • Betty

Did you use the $3 off any Mens Nivea on the women’s products too? I am just wondering. The shelf at WalMart was cleared of men’s so I might try the women’s if it will work.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No, I had a $3.00 off the Mens. It was in my paper today.

      • Rose

If the coupon is $3.00 off a mens product it would be fraudulent to use it on a women’s product.

        • Melissa R

There was also a $3.00 for the womans body wash.

          • Betty

Where did you find the $3 on women’s body wash? My paper only had the men’s.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had two $3.00 coupons off of Nivea womens body wash and one $3.00 coupon off of Nivea mens body wash. Never tried to use a women body wash coupon off of the mens product. I know better than that.

          • Pinky

Don’t worry I read you right the first time. It made sense you couponed right.

  12. Tamara

Has anyone had a problem with the riteaid dot com/survey site where you do the survey for the $3 off $15? For the past 3 weeks I have not been able to take advantage of the this…. =(

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yes, i have for weeks. finally I decided it has something to do with the explorer I was using. When I moved to one of my other computers, it finally worked fine. But, still will not work on the original computer. So, try going to a different computer.

    • Cassie

I had problems too. I had another receipt from the pharmacy though with a survey and was able to access it fine.

  13. Jenn

My Red Plums come in the mail, so no chance of getting multiples. However, I found Nivea bodywash priced at 3.19 at Target (and some other areas are reporting their Targets have them priced at 3.04) so depending on your area, only .04-.19 each! If you go today, don’t forget to ask for your free reusable bag that Target’s giving away in celebration of earth day/week.

  14. Jeannette

    It is riteaid(dot)com/storesurvey.

    • Tamara

Thanks! I feel stupid, yet all the better for it!

  15. KRIS

WILL THE COUPON WORK FOR WOMENS BODY WASH TOO? I HAVE TONS OF MENS BODY WASH FROM LAST WEEK.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had two $3.00 off the Womens and had $one $3.00 off the Mens.

  16. momwhocares

I bough 16 of the Niva for men expecting to only get 1 $5 + Up, but I got 3!!! So, it worked fo rme. I would like to add that in my area no one got the $3.00 nivea coupons and the store had a lot in stock even a second shelf for them. I had the coupons as I had got them from ebay expecting to use them at walmart this week! Boy was I surprise when I learned I could get some for free + MM – even better when I got 3/$5.00 back!!

    • Bridgette

Apparently you didnt read about shelf clearing….16 really?

      • liz

        WHERE’S THE “LIKE” BUTTON 🙂

      • liz

        WHERE’S THE “LIKE” BUTTON 🙂

      • momwhocares

Apperently you didn’t read my post. THey had a ton of them there and the cashiers said no one was buying them. As I stated – the area I live in didnt get those coupons, plus if a customer wants they can order from the store to have more come in on the next truck – which is what I usually do. But, they told me to buy off the shelves. THere were tons left when I left, so not sure what you mean by clearing shelves. THe shelves were far from being cleared???

        • momwhocares

Oh and let me add: I do not have a stock room full of things. I haven’t couponed shopped in a while and it’s been over 4 months since I even shopped at a walgreens until today. I go when I need to stock up for a few months and then don’t buy those things. I actually do not have very much at home and I donate rarely because of that. I just bought those because I am making gift baskets.

          • momwhocares

Oh and I was wrong, I didn’t buy 16 – I just counted and I bought 14, not much of a difference, but I did have 20 coupons. I choose not to buy 20, when the cashiers said it was ok to do so. 14 was enough for my Gift baskets and a few for my hubby. So stop trying to police people that were being considerate and also even lazypiglet seems to have a RA that was stocked up and no one buying. So, not just my store! If it was something others were buying – then I would have only bought 4 and ordered the rest if they were available.

      • Debbs Seattle

I have a 4 shower a day household and we all love big soapy suds. We go through two bottles a week. I would suggest not judging someone for a 16 bottle purchase – – – they may have 4 stinky teenage boys and a smelly hubby too! The money we save on body wash helps pay the water and water heating bill. I plan on getting all 12 of my coupons worth. I may have to go to 3 store to acquire 12 but I plan on finding them.

    • Shan

Does it mean you got 16 coupons from ebay site ? Did you get it shipped so fast ?
I am planning to buy some.

      • Casie

In my town there isn’t many people who use coupons. I’m not sure why, there CRAZY!!! But the girls at my rite aid look at me like im nuts when i go in there. Same thing shelves full of the product, Not that i buy it all but better believe if i have 4 coupons or 24 coupons and I use the product daily i’m buying it……

      • momwhocares

Shan: I got 20 coupons from Ebay( I only used 14 (I corrected myself I only bought 14, not 16) – the tip is to make sure they use expedited shipping and check the shipping dates. They should tell you when you expect your coupons. If it say something like Est Ship time: 4/20 – 4/30, then do not buy from them if you do not want to wait that long. However, if you want it in about 2-3 days use the ones that will say something like Estimated shipping time 4/20-4/21:

        Here’s my trick:
        Search the coupon up
Then click the buy it now tab that will only show buy it now auctions
Then select the drop down to choose lowest price first.
Now view each one until you find the lowest price of 10 or 20 coupons (if you want 10 or 20) that also expected to arrive in a few days.

        htt p://shop.ebay. com/i.html?LH_BIN=1&_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A2%257C39%253A1%257C72%253A4727&rt=nc&_nkw=nivea+coupon&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_sop=15&_sc=1

  17. DeAnn

I only got $3 coupons for the Nivea Men’s, not for the women’s body wash in my papers. Are you finding the women’s coupon somewhere else?

    • Jan

my womens was on the same page as the mens.

  18. lazypiglet

I didn’t get Nivea coupons:( not in my newspaper either. Went to RA, saw tons of Nivea body wash on the shelf. guess not many ppl in my area have this coupon!

  19. Jenesa

I am new to shopping at Rite Aid and the +Up rewards. If I got the Nivea $5 +Up reward, can I use that $5 on my next Nivea purchase to earn another? Or do they not “roll” like most catalinas at the grocery stores? Thanks!

    • momwhocares

      Yes, you can

  20. anonymous

    Thanks for posting this deal.
But how to get 4 coupons
“Use 4 $3/1 coupons from the 4/17 RP”
Should we have to buy 4 sunday paper ? Any chance of getting this online ?
What other places to get redplum flyer ?
Thanks so much for your time and reply.

    • MAria

Yes you had to have 4 sunday paper and not there are not printables. You can go to walmart to buy the sunday paper…they usually have it for 1 dollar on monday..just make sure you check it that it have all the inserts inside. Good luck 🙂

      • MAria

Actually there were some coupons for nivea in redplum.com but they went fast!..keep looking maybe they will come back again 🙂

Thanks for your time in replying. I will check walmart today.

My Rite Aid told me it was a limit of 1 offer per household. I actually bought 8 Niveas because I love it and it was still a good deal even if I only got 1 $5 UP. The manager told me I’d only get 1 UP but I got 2 and he tried to actually cancel it and told me it was 1 per household. I wasn’t going to let him take my UP! I then did another transaction and tried to buy 4 more and he denied me and said that the store wouldn’t allow me to. I understand why the stores put limits so people dont come in and clear the shelves but they cant just deny people the right to purchase items on their shelves and try to take away their UP rewards that print out! I coudl tell he was annoyed that I saw it printed twice because he had just tried to tell me it would only go once. But still–even though it seems to be unlimited, lets all be courteous to other shoppers and not clear the shelves. no one needs a cart full of Nivea. There will be other great deals 🙂

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I didn’t get any coupons in my paper for Nivea. Were they in the Dayton Daily?

    • Renee

YES- I got them in Dayton Daily subscription. Don’t know if they are in the papers in the stores or machines.

  24. Frank

Why didnt I get the red plum insert? Is that regional or something?

    • Casie

The red plum in my area is hit or miss all the time. Usually when theres great coupons im looking forward to we dont get it;( Luck will have it that we got 4 inserts this week, super excited!

    • Renee

Yes- some areas got them and some did not.

    • MAria

CAll your news paper company…maybe they forgot to put it in!..they have done that with me many times and then i call them and they bring it to my door. they know i buy the paper only for the coupons.
Maybe the red plum was not in your area but you will never know unless you call 🙂

  25. marisa

Walmart (or at least mine) is selling the nivea body wash for only $3.00 so for those of you who don’t have a rite aid near you (I don’t) it’s free after coupon.

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My newspaper came with 2 RP in it, one with a picture of a ham on it(thats the one that had the Nivea coupon) and one with a women on it. My sis who lives 10 min. from me got the one with the women on it. I guess when you go to buy more papers you can look for the ham Rp insert. I thought it was strange I got two in one paper since all the site were saying only one RP, this has never happend before.

  27. Maya

Can you mix and match $15 of the nivea body washes and lotions, or they have to be $15 only body washes?

    • nana

Yes.. I used 2 mens and 2 womens… printables for each to make the deal until my inserts got here.
      Up printed for me.

  28. Liz

You can do multiple transactions on same card in western NY!

  29. melanee

my rite aid ad says “limit 1 per household” in fine print 🙁 i am wishing it isn’t true 😉

    • Suszy

My Rite Aid ad doesn’t state that there is a limit – not that I’m planning on clearing out the shelves or anything bu, I do plan on taking the ad with me just in case.

  30. Beth

I’m confused as to why it is okay to get multiple RR when the ad specifically says ‘limit 1 per household.’ I would love to get more of these as I am sending them to my brother and fellow troops in Afghanistan. I want to be a responsible couponer and do things right so I was surprised when I saw this post by Collin…..

    • Anon

Consider that not all adds say “limit one”. Most likely hers is one like that.

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

when they wrote my raincheck, they said one 5 up reward per household
