Each event is sponsored by a leading brand (such as Kraft) and focuses on something cool that the sponsor wants its best fans to experience firsthand and share with their friends. Basically a House party let you share the products you like with all your friends, free of charge! Companies love to promote these type of events because it spreads the word about their products.

I get to host a party for Singer. I will be picking up a Singer sewing machine that they will be lending to me with the option to buy for 20% less (I was hoping for more of a discount). They sent tons of freebies; two different sewing patterns, 5 yards of fabric, decorations, threads etc.
I am going to host a Green Lantern toy party for Mattel and it feels great to have a party and give toys to the guests!
Plus my son gets toys. Cause he doesn’t have enough yet! Ha!

I hosted a Hershey Cookie Exchange Party in December. They sent me 2 free cookie mixes, three free bags of Hershey Kisses, recipe books for the guests, nice cookie boxes and an apron for me! It was fun!
That is alot of sugar! I don’t know if theyd last until the party in my house! LOL! I’ve done Kraft Homestyle Mac&Cheese, and a long time ago Hershey’s Bliss. It really is great fun, my friends love the freebies!
How to get selected. I apply early and have filled out every application within the past few months. I dont get it….
Keep trying my ration is about 10 to 1 on getting parties or about 1 a year. I only apply for ones I really really like though so if you apply for more you chances will increase.
Does that make sense I mean I get one out of every 10 parties I apply for not that I have had 10 parties.
I don’t think it has anything to do with the number of parties you apply for, or what time you enter. I had two parties last year and one this year. I think they base it on the need for the area, or where they are looking for marketing. I think they base it on your answers that you provide. Sometimes they may have too many of one type of person applying, so they may or may not want a variety. It depends on the type of party you are applying for, a single person with no kids is not going to get a diaper party. Just be honest with your answers be descriptive in what type of party you would have, and keep trying. It took me a long time before I got my first party. 🙂
I just hosted the Green Works party (have applied only for a couple). I’ve heard that it helps to answer (honestly of course) that you will have 15-20 people at the party. And for the Green Works one I think the answer that got me in was that I use other “green” cleaning products but have not yet tried Green Works products. Hope that helps!
I’ve hosted the Febreze party last summer and the Philly Creme party two months back. Friends who were at my Febreze party a year ago have gone on to host the pampers party, digiorno and the sabra humus party. So lots of fun and it really does work. Sometimes you have to apply for a long time but you will eventually get one.
I just got a Tapena wine party from House Party (came with a cook book, wine charms Amex gift card and rebate to purchase the wine), and a Nescafe Hosties party (which came with 17 coupons for over $70 in free products, like coffee, creamer, ravioli, hot pockets, bottled water, juicy juice and more! I am hosting 2 parties on one day coffee in the morning and wine in the evening!
I got the Tapena wine one as well! It falls the same weekend as a girls weekend I am hosting, so much fun. Free wine for girls weekend!
I’ve hosted the Coffee Mate and Philly parties. I have to say, the coffee mate was my favorite of the two as far as the products go. We never used to use it, I usually drink my coffee black and he always just used half & half in his. Now we’re both using the flavored Coffee Mates! lol
The Philly party, I wasn’t really impressed with the cooking cremes. The plain one is good to use instead of regular cream cheese in a recipe just because it’s softer and easier to work with. The flavored ones (we tried all 3) just didn’t seem to have enough flavor. I found I had to doctor up the recipes quite a bit. But, I got my favorite party item from them—a green pan! That thing is by far my favorite thing in the kitchen and we love it so much we’re planning to get a whole set of them when we move and set up our new kitchen! 🙂

Random question about Rite Aid. Are UPS linked to specific wellness cards. ie can i use ups from one card to make a purchase on another card. Thanks!
at this point they are transferable. i do shopping for myself and my mom, and use the +ups interchangeably.
I am hosting my first party and it is for the Little Debbie Cloud cakes. They sent me like 15 boxes of them!! I was going to host at my home with moms and kids but instead am going to bring them to the Relay for Life event and share there! Thought that would be a good way to showcase them while participating in something so important! Hope Little Debie will be proud 🙂
I’ve been really fortunate. I won the Martha Stewart party, the South Beach diet party, the Ball Canning party, the Hershey party, and the Pillsbury Crescent party. The Martha Stewart party and the Ball Canning party had the greatest $$$ value, but the Pillsbury Crescent party came with a $20 gift card for party supplies. I don’t apply too often, so I would way my luck is pretty good.

I try to be imaginative with my answers. Like with the Ball Canning party, I told them I wanted to spend an evening with my family and friends, sharing with them ideas and recipes which will allow them to bring the fresh taste, sights and aromas of fruits and vegetables throughout the year.
I hosted the Digorno pizza party a month or two ago – they sent out some FANTASTIC freebies and a ton of some really high value coupons that got my friends and I free pizzas!
I also was chosen to host the Little Debbie party. We got our 17 boxes of cloud cakes last week along with notepads and mini frisbees. My boys are really looking forward to our party next week!
I actually couldn’t bring myself to apply for this one. I LOVE houseparty.com but after years of hearing about how bad Twinkies are for you, I couldn’t do it. I think it is awesome that they are giving away so much product though.

I was selected to host the Tapena wine party on my first try applying for a House Party. I actually bought the wine last night. They gave us a $25 gift card, plus a $66 rebate if you buy a whole case, so the wine will come out to about $5 for the entire case (after rebate + with tax)! The party is next weekend!

I was selected to host a Just Dance 2 House Party in November of 2010. They sent me a full copy of the game and the Just Dance Kids game as well. The guests all got coupons for $5 off either game + free shipping from Gamestop.com. We did it for my nieces birthday and it was a lot of fun.
I was also selected for the Greenworks house party, but didn’t see the email in time. By the time I got it the slots were filled.

I was chosen to do the BIC Soleil Sunny Moments Party but have not received the supplies yet. This is the first party I have applied for and I got chosen 3 days after I signed up and applied for it!! I’m very excited for this party and hope I get chosen to do more!!!
