CVS Deals 5/1-5/7

Hip2Save may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you via trusted partners and affiliate links in this post. Prices and availability are accurate as of time posted. Read our full disclosure policy here.

If you purchased the CVS e-Gift cards that I mentioned here (no longer available 🙁 ), you can use that after all your other manufacturer’s coupons for even sweeter deals this week (treated just like a gift card)!  Also, this week there will be a PepsiCo Moments to Save insert with over $20 in high value coupons that will pair nicely with the CVS deals this week! Stay tuned for a post on that insert a little later this evening… (Thanks, Money Saving Madness!)

**My favorite deals are highlighted in red! 🙂

    Thank you Collin!

Hi, Collin! Just wanted to let you know that when I did the gift card deal last time, I did it after all manufacturer coupons as they treated it just like a regular gift card, so I didn’t want to lower my “totals” by using the gift card first. I used ECBS & Mfgs. first and my gift card lasted for EVER! 🙂

    • Collin

      OH Thanks Tami! 🙂

  3. Jennifer Love

There is/was a Bic Soleli printable on their FB page for $3 and another for $2…

  4. Chris

I’m confused about the $1/1 Charmin coupon, isn’t that a Target coupon? I searched a few databases and can’t find a manufacturer’s coupon just the Target coupon. Am I missing it?

    • Collin

Oopsie! 🙂 You’re right! Still a great deal with the $0.25/1 coupon…makes them as low as only $0.27 per roll!

      • Chris

Nice to know I’m not crazy… HEHE! Thanks Collin!

      • Jenny

Hi, I could very well be wrong on this (and it’s only a .50 difference), but wouldn’t you be paying 4.74 after the coupon, not 4.24?

      • Jennifer

I noticed that the price of Charmin would be $3.74 (after the $1 ECB & the $0.25 coupon) which would make it $0.42 per roll. I just noticed because I did the math earlier for myself as I was going through my CVS flyer. Thanks for all you do – I really appreciate it!!!!!!

        • Collin

Wow, I’m really great on my math skills today, eh!? 🙂 Thanks! Yes, it should be $3.74 after the Ecb and coupon, which would make it $0.31 a roll.

    • Jan

I have a dollar off coupon for charmin, I believe I got it when I bought batteries that had a ton of coupons in them.

      • LeeAnn

Ive got this same coupon! Expires 7/31/2012! 🙂

      • marcia

I was going to add the same thing about this coupon. I think there was another one from somewhere but i have to look at it to hopefully remember.. i’m THINKING it was from a large pk of charmin a while back(not from target)..try to get ack to you all on that

    • Ree

There is a $1 coupon that came in the P&G home mailer also!

      • Jen Mierau

I used the $1 coupon from the P&G mailer today! What a great deal! Thanks Collin!

  5. tori

cvs is so much better to use coupons . walgreens managers always make it such a huge deal

    • grace

try checking out at the cosmetics counter, they’re great! 🙂

    • carmen

It is the opposite for me! I have such a hard time at CVS but it’s super easy at Walgreens…. I guess it varies by states! :)_

    • carmen

  6. Ariel S

The $1/1 Colgate toothpaste in the 4/17 SS is also a Target coupon. The one in All You would still work though…unfortunately I only have 1 copy of the magazine and several newspaper inserts! Still great to get one for free though, thank you!!

    • melissa

my coupon from 4/17 was a manuf coupon. not all areas get the target coupons in their inserts.

  7. Mitch

Firstly, the gift card is cash, of course use all coupons first. I just got back from CVS, this gift card makes my milk basically 20% off and no one does that. It also does work for prescriptions, that is pretty amazing!

  8. Dianne

I got a $2 off any 2 Deodorant coupon from the Magic machine recently. Will pair nicely with the Right Guard deal!

    • Abby

I got a $1/1. Keep your eyes peeled folks.

      • amhale11

I got a $1/1 also… thanks for reminding me, Dianne & Abby! I would have forgotten about it!

  9. Amber

I have a question on the gift card. I purchased them both, but my OOP total rarely is more than $1 or so. Anyone know if we can use the gift card little bits at a time? I’m not sure since it’s a paper gift card.

    • fairy dust

Yes, it works just like a plastic gift card – you can use it as many times as you want until the balance gets to $0

      • Amber

        Thanks!! I was hoping so.

  10. hsmom

My weekly Smartsource (that comes in the mail) had a Save $3 on any BIC Soleil Disposable or Soleil System Razor. Couldn’t this be used with this deal:

Bic Soleil Shimmer razor starter kit or cartridges 4 ct $6.99 = $3 Ecb (limit 1)
    Pay $6.99
    Get back a $3 Ecb
    Final cost $3.99!

    to make it just 99c?

  11. Amy

My early paper has a $3 off Bic Soleil disposables or Soleil system razor, making the Soleil Shimmer razor only 99 cents after ECB.

    • Collin

Oh, that’s great! Thanks…will add to the post!

    • Amy

Wanted to add that I bought this razor system today and attached to the back were a set of free coosh headphones (claimed to be an $18.95 value). May want to search to see if the razors at your CVS have this, too. : )

      • hsmom

Yep, I was just coming here to post this, too. I found the ones with the headphones in the cosmetic section (vs. the regular ones in the razor section…)

Just wanted to highlight a GREAT dela at Publix this week (until 5/3 or 5/4, depending on where you live)-
Bic Soleil Bella Razor (3-pack)- BOGO ($5.49 at my store)
Use two (2) $3.00/1 coupons (fund on their Facebook page)
Final cost= two packs of razors for FREE!!!

I’m a prety new couponer, and I’ve gone back and forth on which stores I think are best to coupon at, but I’ve figured out that my Publix is the best place to go. And I live in Florida, so they don’t double coupons, but I can still get TONS of free stuff there!!!

    Hee’s another geat deal-
Powerade Ion 4 Sports Drink or Powerade Zero, 32 oz bot, BOGO $1.25
-B1G1 Powerade Zero (found on Facebook)
    Final cost= FREE

    • Jen Mierau

I just moved to Florida and have found some great deals at Publix too. I’m new to couponing so I’ve overlooked a few things but I’m learning. I’d love to see a Publix section!

Awesome! My coupons are waiting for me at my parents’ house, and we’ll be there this week – time to stock up!

  14. Laura

Kudos to CVS! The St Louis news showed a CVS store in Alabama. They had cases of diapers, water, cleaning supplies, other stuff out in their parking lot. They were giving it away to local residents affecting by the storms.

    • jennifer

That makes my heart happy! Thanks for sharing!

    • Collin

      Wow!! That’s awesome! 🙂

    • jennifer

A lot of stores in Alabama mostly CVS and Walgreens are giving water and so on out we have lost everything here. We were hit worse than I ever remember.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thats so freaking awesome! I’m getting teary eyed!!
On 9/11, supposedly, starbucks was charging firefighters for glasses of water. WTH?!?
      Cvs is an amazing company!

      • martin

That’s actually not true at all. Starbucks was handing out free bottles of water along with many other restaurants/cafes in NYC.

  15. NolaGirl

The Home Made Simple, Organize in Style booklet offered last fall has a $1 off Dawn Hand Renewal with Olay Beauty that expires today — 4/30/11/. If your CVS starts their sale on Saturday, you’ll get one last chance for FREE Dawn Hand Renewal with Olay Beauty. Just did this x3 @ CVS on Carrollton & Palmetto in NOLA.

  16. RNcarrie75

On the Soft Scrub deal…If your register on the soft scrub website and confirm your email address, you can click on “exclusive offers” and there is a $1.50 coupon off (1) Soft scrub total cleaner and $1.00 off (1) soft scru cleanser. Making it 50 cents and 1.00 deals.

I thought there was going to be a Ivory bar, Body wash, or liquid hand soap in the 5/1 PG. Does that not apply to a 3 pack?

    • Collin

Thanks! You’re right…that would make for FREE Ivory! 🙂

  17. Stela

Thanks for posting all the deals! For some reason it just makes so much more sense when I read your deal post, unfortunately we didn’t get any colgate coupons : (

    • Collin

      You’re welcome! Glad I can help! 🙂

  18. Monica

    Thanks!

  19. Sarah

The Bounty paper towel $1/1 coupon that I have is only for Bounty Basic, and the ad is for Bounty regular, so I doubt you can use it unless there is another $1/1 cpn I haven’t seen.

  20. Erin

Thanks for posting, Collin! I look forward to checking your coupon match ups every week!

  21. shadiya

Thanks Collin! Btw where can I find the CVS coupon policy? I wanted to use 1off honest tea coupon today but the cashier refused to take my coupon since the coupon value is higher than the sales price(0.83). I thought the cashier could adjust down the coupon value.

    • Emily

There isn’t one, unfortunately, so situations like this really vary depending on your manager. In my experience, most stores will adjust coupons down, but some don’t want to.

      • shadiya

        oh I see…thanks a lot~

  22. melissa

has anyone done the Pepsico deal yet? Just wondering if $14.95 will trigger the ECB. I really didn’t want to spend a lot OOP this week (saving what I can towards vacation!).

    • Sonia

I tried the deal with the OJ this morning. I bought 1 tostitos chips $2.49, 1 Tostitos salsa $2.99 and 3 OJs for $2.99ea. total $14.45 didn’t notice until I left how much it totalled to. On the bottom of my reciept it said my pepsi total was $11.46 so I’m thinking that it also took off the coupon amounts. So I just went back in and bought a starbucks 4 pk frap for $5 and paid with ecbs to get the ECBS. HTH.

      • melissa

Weird. Coupons don’t count against ECB deals. It looks like the $2.49 chips did not credit, but even 2.99*4 = 11.96. IT also looks like others are having problems with the chips/dips not counting. Think I will wait until Tuesday to try the deal.

      • Valerie

I think it didn’t credit you the 2.99 salsa. If you add the (3) oj’s at 2.99 and the 2.49 chips it equals 11.46. I did the lysol deal a couple weeks back and i used coupons in each item i purchased with no problems and i got 10.00 in ecb.

  23. Marie

Just came from CVS and I bought 2 Pantene Conditioners, used the $3 off 2 coupon from the paper and instead of giving me $1 ECB it gave me $2 ECB. Nice surprise. Great CVS deals this week!

  24. Tami

I have a bunch of baby coupons that I won’t use I was wondering if anyone here wanted them. I don’t have them in front of me but off the top of my head I have the five dollar target gift card coupon for huggies, some pampers coupons, i think similac and a few other ones. If you want them just email me at tamikoz83@aol.com and in the subject line put COUPONS. Most expire at the end of this month. Oh and in most cases I have duplicates of each coupon.

    • Kelly G.

      E-mail sent! 🙂

  25. Anne

Anyone else notice that the ad says Sale Ends Friday? Wonder why they are doing this.

    • Victoria

I couldn’t find any where that mine says that, but I was also looking online since we don’t get the CVS ad in our newspaper.

I have to go out there and that can just wait till I do my shopping!

      • Anne

it says it on the bottom of the front page in our ad.

        • Collin

I have a friend who said her CVS is in a “test market” and are running their sale ads Sunday – Friday. But it seems the prices are still valid thru Saturday? Seems a little confusing doesn’t it?

    • cassiesoren

I just noticed mine says that too, weird.

  26. Kim W.

Wow. Major problems today with the PepsiCo deal of spending $15 and getting $5 ECB back. It appears that the Tostitos chips and dip are NOT included!?! Has anyone else run into this problem? I even went back to question it with the store. They said that the Frito Lay is not included even though it’s clearly included in the red box in the ad. I am calling corporate tomorrow to complain. Would like to know if this deal actually worked for anyone else.

    • melissa

I would definitely call CS. It says so right in the box which items are included, and the manager should have force printed the eb for you if you hit $15. Looks like some items were left off the list in the system.

      • Kim W.

Thanks, Melissa. I will post about my experience with corporate. Hope no one else has this problem. I love CVS, but went to a different store than my usual today. It is amazing how much customer service differs from store to store.

  27. Kris

Ok.. we didn’t get the pepsi insert.. is there a way I can get it or pick it up? I would love to have that..

    • shellypsu1

Didnt get it here in SC either. Bummer. Maybe we can pick it up through a coupon service? I am going to look…

  28. Marissa

Ok question about EBC and RR here…
if i do the all laundry deal and i have 2 1/1 coupons can i use both of them in the SAME transaction and get 2 ECB or do i have to do SEPARATE transactions? OR do you only get 1 ECB no matter what?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

on ECB, you can buy both in the same transaction and get both ECB (assuming the ecb limit is 2, which the ALL limit is 2).. however, you will get a $2 ECB instead of 2-$1 ecbs. RR are not this way. at Wags, you can buy as many as you want (no limits on the number of RR you can get from a single product) but you have to do everyone in a different transaction. Also, you can’t use the first RR to purchase the same item in the second transaction and still get RR. (You can use the first RR to purchase the same item in the second transaction, but you wont get the RR from the second transaction…. ) Hope this helps! 🙂

  29. donna

hey collin, the magic erasers in my store had $3 of coupons inside and one of the coupons is a $1 off bounty, that can be used in the bounty deal above if you do not have the p&g savings book.

  30. Ree

For the Febreze rebate, do I have to send in my original receipt? The form says “Mail: The original form, Original UPC from the package, and sales receipt in a stamped envelope”…

I would prefer to send in a copy but don’t want it to be rejected even though it doesn’t say original sales receipt.

    • Collin

Hmm…you may want to call the 1-800 number at the bottom of the rebate form and ask just to be sure.

  31. Ree

  32. Jen

On the Pepsi 3/$10 deal, the $2/2 coupon you said to use is only good on 18-24 packs (at least, mine is).

Also, on the Olay body wash/Secret deal, the coupon *I* got was $4 off when you buy Secret, Olay body wash AND Olay lotion.

On the other hand, I wondered if you couldn’t use the free Pepsi 2 L when you buy chips & dip with the Starbucks/Tostitos deal? And the $1 off Tide when you buy Charmin, if you do both the Charmin and Tide deals? And the free Sierra Mist 2 L when you buy Sun Chips with the Sun Chips deal? I don’t want to get to the register and have a bunch of stuff I can’t buy with coupons I can’t use together! 😀

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

had the same problem, need to buy 3 things

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

When I went to CVS today, I must have made a mistake on the Febreeze noticables deal. Could someone please explain to me what I did wrong? I used the buy a refill & get a warmer for free Q and $1 off a refill Q. The refills were $3.99 & the warmer was $3.69. So, when I left I had 2 refills and 1 warmer. And, I will send in the rebate for $3.50. But, it was no where near free & mm. Should I only have actually left the store with 1 refill and 1 warmer? Could I still have been able to use both Q’s? If so, I think I’ll return one refill.

    • Jennifer

Yes to make the deal a MM, you should have bought only one refill and one warmer. You would have paid $2.99 after both coupons. Submit for the $3.50 rebate and make $0.51! Hope this helps.

  34. Anonymous

I went to CVS tonight and thought I followed the Febreeze deal. I used the Buy 1 refill, get a warmer free (it was $3.69)Q. I also used a $1 off a refill Q. And, I will send in the rebate. When I left the store I had 2 refiils and 1 warmer. It is no where near free. Could someone please explain to me where I messed up? Should I only have 1 refill and 1 warmer? If so, could I still have used both coupons?

    • Anonymous

      sorry for the duplicate post!

  35. Sarah

In the PepsiCo deal scenario #2 you can also use the free PepsiMax coupon, just like in scenario #1. Another good deal is using $1 off charmin basic from P&G mailer. You get $1ECB making the Charmin 2.99 (.24/roll). Then you can use the $1 off any Tide powder when you buy Charmin Basic. Tide powder 5.99 – $1 cpn – $1 ECB = 3.99. And there are some coupons in my tide box (although I haven’t opened it yet, so I don’t know exactly what they are).

  36. melissa

hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Tostitos $1/1 coupon says LIMIT 1 Coupon PER CUSTOMER (as does the $2/2 Lays Kettle Chips/Sunchips/Rold Gold)!!!! I didn’t catch that, but my cashier did and threw my transaction off last night. So I bought one and came home to regroup. And she said b/c it says limit 1 per customer, I can’t use another one at any other CVS store (which I know is malarky).

    • Sara

I went tonight and they let me use 2. I am sure it will depend on the cashier.

      • melissa

if the coupon says ONE PER CUSTOMER (or Per Transaction)…that is exactly what it means. Collin did a video a few weeks ago on correct coupon usage and to always follow the wording on the coupon. Regardless if your cashier took them both, doesn’t make it right on her part.

        • Sara

I understand that, I honestly had not read your post until after I had went last night or I probably would’ve not even had the second coupon in there. I just handed her all my stuff.

          • melissa

sorry, didn’t mean to come off so witchy in my reply 😉 Yeah, I didn’t catch that part either, it was the cashier who pointed it out to me. She told me the manager reads every single coupon from the inserts now and makes the cashiers aware of the ones that coincide with the sales so people don’t get over them!!

  37. Copi

What zipcode are you ising for the $2 off coupon to score the Depend underwear briefs 14-20 ct, guards 48 ct $11.99 = $2 Ecb (limit 1) deal? I can’t find it anywhere.

  38. CiCi

Quick question about the ECB’s. Does your total have to be amount before getting the ECB’s? For example, this week Nivea products are buy $15 get $5 ECB. Does my total after coupons have to be $15 or is it just $15 worth of the product? I have bunch of Nivea coupons to use, but I want to make sure that I purchase enough to get the ECB’s. I see that Collin uses her coupon after the total, just wanted to verify! Thanks

    • kidsallgone

Not real clear what your question is, but I’ll take a stab at it:
Put your items on the counter that total $15.00.
Then hand them any coupons that match up with the items.
Then hand them any ECBs you might have to lessen the amount of money you need to hand over to pay.
I always try to get it as close to me just paying the tax for the items….and then I’ll get more ECBs at the bottom of the receipt.
Hope that answered your question…..and good luck!!

      • kidsallgone

Wait…..I don’t think I explained it too good LOL!!
Don’t give them any coupons until they have rung up all your items.
And if you have a $5 off of $20 CVS coupon (or similar), hand them that after they have rung up your items.
        1. Have them scan your CVS card
        2. Have them ring up all your items
        3. Have them scan your green tag
        4. Hand them your $ off $ coupon
        5. Hand them (one at a time is best) your coupons for the items
        6. Hand them any ECBs to lessen your out-of-pocket money
        7. Pay whatever is left
        8. Cross your fingers that your ECB(s) will print on the bottom of the receipt
****I think I wrote it right(er) this time LOL****

        • CiCi

You answered just fine! I wanted to make sure the I didn’t have to spend $15 after coupons. Is this the same at Rite Aid and Walgreens?

  39. Cathy

at CVS, Allegra 15ct is in the weekly ad for $12.99(Claritin is $16.99), making it $7.99 w/manf Q. For those who got the $5q from the Magic Machine it’s $2.99!!

  40. Anne D

Tried to overlap deals at my CVS this past Saturday to use coupons expiring 4/30 and told regional manager made them quit doing it. Live in Oak Ridge, TN — wonder if stopped overlapping anywhere else.

  41. Lindsay

for the febreze – can you use 2 coupons on 1 purchase or do you have to purchase 2 refills to get the free warmer?

  42. laura

i bought 2 ivory soap 3packs and 2 of colgate maxclean foam toothpaste. an extra $1.50 ECB printed on top of the toothpaste ECB. ended up as an .85 moneymaker 🙂 just thought i would share

  43. Sara

Just wanted to add the Welch’s Essentials coupon $1/1 found in the Pepsico ad on 5/1 will work on the 2 for $6 Welch’s deal.

  44. laura

anyone know how to get a cvs green bag tag? do they use them at all locations? i have never heard of them before

    • kidsallgone

The green bag tags are sold at any CVS stores, usually at the registers and they cost (I believe) $1.00. The other week they were selling them for $1.00 and you would get $1.00 back in Extra Care Bucks!! But that deal is over. It’s great to use the tag because every 4th time (can only be scanned once per day) you use it, a $1.00 ECB will print at the bottom of your receipt. You can use the tag at all CVS stores. Hope that helps 🙂

      • Betty

I bought the tag when it was free after ECBs but the guy in front of me took like 20 mins to cash out and there was only one cashier open. Once I got to the cash and checked out my ECB didnt print and the cashier checked my receipt and told me it was because I checked out at EXACTLY midnight and so there was nothing they could do, cause i was 1 minute late. I thought that was pretty stupid. I could have checked out in time had they not taken 20 mins with the guy in front of me, or opened another cash for a minute. How lame is that, a few seconds late and I miss out on a deal. Pfft. That cashier is a real jerk though… It took him 15 mins to write me 2 rainchecks, he wrote them wrong, didnt sign them and didnt even put the price on one of them. I was so tired and frustrated I just chocked it up as a loss cause I was definitely not going to get into it with someone who doesnt even know how to write a raincheck. You win some you lose some I guess.

  45. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got a $2 coupon from the magic coupon machine today when you buy $10 in groceries. Worked out great with PepsiCo deal! Thanks Collin!

i have a question about couponing beeping!!!!!!!!!!
today at walgreens i had to buy a “filler” item (i’ve never had to do that before) because i rolled over my RR. does that happen at CVS too? I watched collins video and she says that ECB are “just like cash” so does that mean i dont have to include filler items to have the coupon per item ratio thing?

That’s right, at CVS you use the ECB’s just like cash- no filler items needed. 🙂

In the pepsi deal – here is another great deal going:
Buy 15 sobes (my fave!) for $15
    Use (3) x $1.50/5 20 oz sobe drinks = 4.50 off
    Get back $5 ECB
    OOP – $5.50 for 15 sobes…$0.36 each.

In my flyer the Sobe is not part of the $5 ECB when you spend $15. Have you done this deal?

My P/G 5/1 add doesn’t seem to have an Ivory coupon in it. Am I missing something?

Just figured it out. The inserts that I got in my Sunday paper and today in the local mail were different from the inserts that were handed out at my local Military Commissary. The P&G insterts from the Sunday Paper and the mail have a different center page and did not have the Ivory coupon in it. The insterts that were handed out at the commissary did.

Thanks Starla. I was going crazy looking for that Ivory coupon. I didn’t get it either.

Just wondering if there have been any issues using the
“Free Pepsi Max 2L when you buy Tostitos chips and dip” coupon
with “2 $1/1 Tostitos chips or dip” coupons
when purchasing 1 chip, 1 dip, and 1 Pepsi 2L.

I was just thinking: Would the Free Pepsi coupon attach to the chip and dip items (which you’ll already be using coupons to purchase), therefore trying to attach 2 coupons to the same items (the chip and the dip)? Or does the Free Pepsi coupon only attach itself to the soda item?

Just wanting to know so I can be “coupon confident” when I try this at the check out! Thanks!!
