Wowza! If you are wanting to stock up on batteries, then you need to jump in your car or hop on your bike and head over to your local Rite Aid. Reader, Maura from Everett, WA, emailed me about the fact that she was able to snag the Duracell Coppertop AA and AAA batteries 10 packs for ONLY $2.24 each (without coupons!)!! Keep in mind that these 10 packs are NOT marked at the sale price (they actually appear to be priced at $8.99, so I strongly and I mean strongly encourage you to ask for a price check.
As soon as I received this email from Maura, I sent my sister in Boise out on a shopping mission and she was able to confirm that these 10 packs were also ringing up at her Rite Aid in Boise, ID for ONLY $2.24! Even better, she discovered $1/1 Rite Aid peelie coupons on several of the battery packs (pictured above), so paired with the $1/1 coupon from the P&G Everday Savings Book, she only spent $0.24 for a 10 pack of batteries! Yep – $0.24!

No. not to 9V…it worked for AA and AAA at my store
I contacted my store in Kentucky and they said it was an error and has been fixed, all though they are still on sale for just a little over $5 per pack. (5/3/11)
They lied to you because I am in ky and mine were on sale.
This deal worked for me in Northern California. The 20pk scanned at regular price. A survey offer printed on my receipt for $3, so I’m sending the hubby back for some more batteries tonight.

Just worked for me in TN. The cashier said they were reduced because they are going back to the 8 pack size. The peelie coupons in my store were expired.

Worked in Mobile, AL, but alot of the batteries had expired.
The date the batteries expire is printed on the batteries-not on the backside of the packaging. My packaging said 4/10 but that was when it was made. The batteries had the expiration date of 2016 when I opened up pack and took 1 out.

Went to RA in Dayton OH. They had the AAA for 8.99 like in Collin’s picture but all the AA came with a Duracell screwdriver inside. Had cashier scan both and both were 2.24. Picked up 2 AA and 1 AAA. Only had 1 coupon though:(

The peelie is a rite aid q and the paper ones are manufacturers! My store did not have peelies though:(

Double check the date. I am pretty sure it says WHEN they were made, not the expiration date. At least on my pacakge that is what it says
The expiration date is on the batteries- it probably says 2016. Don’t go by the date on the back of the packaging.

My rite aid had them with free screwdriver. That was the only “style” that rang up 2.24. Cashier was shocked. Plenty left on the shelf =)

I went back to rite aid because I think I had them check the wrong batteries and the 10 packs are indeed $2.24 as of 5 minutes ago. I bought 10 packs, witht he overage I made from the breath right strips and several $3/15 survey’s and $1 peelies and P&G coupons I paid less than $5 for 100 batteries. still had at least 20 more packs left on the shelf, I was tempted to get them all, but I just can’t do it, need to think of others. I love hip2save!!!!!!!!!!

It might be because when I looked at my receipt it says Sale 1/$2.24 Reg 1/$8.99
