Wowza! If you are wanting to stock up on batteries, then you need to jump in your car or hop on your bike and head over to your local Rite Aid. Reader, Maura from Everett, WA, emailed me about the fact that she was able to snag the Duracell Coppertop AA and AAA batteries 10 packs for ONLY $2.24 each (without coupons!)!! Keep in mind that these 10 packs are NOT marked at the sale price (they actually appear to be priced at $8.99, so I strongly and I mean strongly encourage you to ask for a price check.
As soon as I received this email from Maura, I sent my sister in Boise out on a shopping mission and she was able to confirm that these 10 packs were also ringing up at her Rite Aid in Boise, ID for ONLY $2.24! Even better, she discovered $1/1 Rite Aid peelie coupons on several of the battery packs (pictured above), so paired with the $1/1 coupon from the P&G Everday Savings Book, she only spent $0.24 for a 10 pack of batteries! Yep – $0.24!

Just got home from RA… Brunswick Ohio they were 2.24!! So… after the $3 off 15 and my UPS… I got 10 packs (100 batteries) for $1.66… I called ALL of my friends and smiled teh whole way home 🙂
Got mine in toledo, oh. I thought for sure they would be gone by time I could make it there but they had plenty!! yay!!
when do these expire?
For example, on one of the packages it says: PROD:01/07/11CP08, then the other one says: PROD:10/12/10C120
???
I wanted to send the hubby out for more since the store had at least 50 left on shelf. But I’m worried about the expiration date. Can anyone confirm?
I *believe* the prod date is the production date, and they say on the front of the box guaranteed for 7 years. So I think they are guaranteed 7 years from the production date. BUT I am NOT positive!
Thanks for your insight. I was going to return my batteries because I thought they had expired, (dated 2010) but you could be right that the date is a production date. The package also does say good for 7 years. There is a phone number on the pack for Duracell so if anyone has questions, they can call.
That is the production date- all the batteries I bought last night have a 2010 date and when I opened up a pack the battery I took out had 2016 as the expiration date.

I just got my batteries in Anderson, SC!! I bought 25 packs, pulled off 16 $1 off coupons and got 14 free screw drivers and 1 free glue stick all for $40!!! So excited! 250 batteries 🙂

I RAN (well drove) to my Waterford, Michigan store and found only one peelie, but the deal was working there. I asked the lady to check the price and she said “I dont have to- they are ringing up at $2 something” I was jumping for joy! lol I always need batteries. But I didnt get to see the deal until 30 min before they closed so I will have to print some $3 off $15 and stock up on a few more packs so I can get a better deal tomorrow. i just came from rite aid ,our store had lots of batteries for 2.45 but i didnt have any p&g coupons or none of batteries had peelies ,so i used video wellness 1$ coupon so got it for
$1.45 …thats a good deal for me cos just learning couponing

I was just thinking that they would make great stocking stuffers for the adults (who always need them) and the kids (who always get toys w/o batteries)!!!! 🙂
Got 4! I didn’t find any peelies, but had 4 $1 coupons and a $4 UP so I paid less than $2. The manager was excited for me. 🙂
I went to Rite Aid and had the cashier do a price check and sure enough they were $2.24 but on the shelf they are still advertised for $8.99 so at that Rite Aid I got the last 3 packs of AA batteries. Than I went to another Rite Aid had the cashier do a price check and they were $2.24 as well so I only got 3 packs there wanted more but didn’t have $1off coupons. I ended up with 6 packs of batteries for $2.26 I had up rewards that I needed to use. The 2nd Rite Aid store I went to had plenty of batteries. I may try to stop by again 2ma…Cha-Ching.
You can always use batteries especially for the remote controls to televisions and gaming systems.
It totally cracks me up how you said “or hop on your bike” b/c I had a cashier ask me one time how old I was. I told her 25 and she said “oh okay, just making sure b/c you have to be 13 to own a wellness card”. I look young for my age but I don’t look 13!!! She must have thought I rode my bike there!! She has also seen me in the store with my son before and my husband. She gives me a hard time about everything including coupons, so I do my best to avoid her!

Thanks for letting us know about this AWESOME deal! My son just got a new remote controlled train which requires 6 AAA batteries. He plays with it ALL Day so we need LOTS of batteries. I must be blind or something but I can’t find any coupon in the P&G for Duracell batteries. Were these regional?
They weren’t in the insert, but in the P&G Everyday Savings book, which you had to sign up for to receive in the mail. I also had a $1 off coupon from P&G Everyday Solutions booklet that I received in the mail recently and a few from coupon booklets that I received in Pampers diapers boxes a while back.
Thanks for reminding me about that last mailer! I hadn’t taken it apart yet and there was a Duracell coupon in it ! 🙂
They were in a booklet they sent out for signing up on there website. It was called P&G Everyday Savings.

Worked for me in Livermore, CA. $2.24 per pack of 10. Found 1 with a $1 peelie coupon. Thanks for the tip! I also used $3 off any purchase of $15 from doing a Rite Aid online survey, and $6 in +Up Rewards. This brought the packs down to $3.44 / $0.57 per pack / $0.06 per battery. Score!!!

They are by the photo counter in my Riteaid… Right when I walk in I turn left and go to the side end of the store and they are on the last row… Hope that helps!

Worked in Louisville, KY– I went about 7:30p after I got off work and the cashier was surprised. My son was sooooo excited because he had just asked for batteries and I told him it wasn’t in the grocery budget (I always ask him if he wants anything from the grocery and he knows I go to Wal-Mart)–so he was excited. Worked in Jacksonville, NC. But none of the batteries had $1.00 peelie and our newspaper did not have the P&G saver. So I paid 2.24, but I didn’t care it’s a great price. And the whole way home my 2 year old was yelling “Yay now my toys will work!!”. Sad I know 🙂 Thanks Collin!!!

In High Point, NC the 20 packs AA (W/bonus 5 batteries and some w/P & G coupons inside) EXP date of 2017 were on sale for 3.34. They EACH generated a 1.00 + UP reward that I wasn’t even aware of until I looked in the ad. I was using a previous +up so they were free for me. I asked why they are 75% off and the manager said that they are discontinuing that packaging… Yeah for good deals! I will go back and look for the AAA today as they weren’t advertised yesterday!
