Wowza! If you are wanting to stock up on batteries, then you need to jump in your car or hop on your bike and head over to your local Rite Aid. Reader, Maura from Everett, WA, emailed me about the fact that she was able to snag the Duracell Coppertop AA and AAA batteries 10 packs for ONLY $2.24 each (without coupons!)!! Keep in mind that these 10 packs are NOT marked at the sale price (they actually appear to be priced at $8.99, so I strongly and I mean strongly encourage you to ask for a price check.
As soon as I received this email from Maura, I sent my sister in Boise out on a shopping mission and she was able to confirm that these 10 packs were also ringing up at her Rite Aid in Boise, ID for ONLY $2.24! Even better, she discovered $1/1 Rite Aid peelie coupons on several of the battery packs (pictured above), so paired with the $1/1 coupon from the P&G Everday Savings Book, she only spent $0.24 for a 10 pack of batteries! Yep – $0.24!

I Just got back from my local riteaid (pittsford NY) and they are still priced $2.24. I know the cashier there and she said she put away a pack of batteries for herself and hopes to get them for the $2.24 price once she leaves work today! She also told me that this is a computer error and now that the buzz has caught on they are trying to fix it. So my suggestion is if you havn’t already get out there and get your batteries before the over $6 savings is gone!
It’s not an error. The rite aid in New Cumberland PA has a clearance sign on the batteries that says 75% off. That makes them $2.24. I bought 7 packs for $15.68, used 7 duracell coupons and $3 off $15 survey coupon making them $6.02
I was just told it was a two day sale and its over now…

Maybe it wasn’t clear to me from reading these posts, but I was told by the cashier that you had to be an UP member to get this deal. The closest Rite Aid to me is about a 20 minute drive so I don’t go there very often, but I made the trip today. I was quite disappointed to find out that I couldn’t get this deal despite there being full stock. For as little as I shop there, it’s not worth it to me to give them all of my info.
you can sign up (it’s free) when you go to the store, and they give you your card right away!
I asked the cashier to price check for me first( because their instore one wasn’t working) and it scanned at the price without me presenting my card. Shouldn’t be an issue.
I did ask for a price check and she knew about the deal and said “it’s ringing up at $2.24, with an up card”. Then I asked what the price was without one and she said “full price”.
You don’t have to be a member. I bought them right out with no cards at all.
I am heading over to my Rite Aid now to check this deal out!! Always use more batteries!!

Just worked for me in suburban Philadelphia at noon. Got two packs (with the free screwdriver in them) even though I only had $1 off coupon. Too good a deal to pass up! Just used some of my UPs 🙂

Hey neighbor- I went to Wellington, Ohio this afternoon and they still had a lot left- no peelies. Had one coupon and a 3.00 off 15, so 7 packs for 11.68. 16 cents a battery- my son goes through batteries quickly.
Not working in the NOLA area, had cashier scan the 10pks and came up regular price. This was about 11:30am cst.
It worked in Bethpage, NY too. I purchased one 8 pack for 2.24 and used the $1 coupon. The pack I purchased had $20 worth of P&G coupons in it. ONe for Duracell. I got back on line and bought a 10 pk, with the free screwdriver. Even though the coupon expired on 4/30, it still worked. $1.24 per pack. That rocks! Thanks!
Works in Elmira, NY! I went and had 5 $1.00 off coupons from paper and P&G inserts. I also bought MYlicon Gas drops that were 75% off so they rang up at $2.24 and then I had 2 $2.00 off coupons! I also used the free breathe right strips coupon and had a raincheck for the Veet wax strips deal last week and they adjusted my coupon down to .49 so those were free. Then I used $3 off $15 survey and $3 ups so I paid a little over $1.00 for everthing! I am very happy as my twins toys use some serious juice :):):) ThanksCollin! I am on such a high…hahahhaaha

I just got them in OHIO ( middletown) they had PLENTY when I say PLENTY i mean it, I bought 5 packs of AA and AAA, the cashier was like did you clear me out of my clearance, I said no you had plenty left, like 3 pegs of each ones. I got a bunch in Massachusetts today! I asked why they were so cheap (and not marked) and the manager said they were changing over and the 10 ct. packs were going back to 8 ct… so even better deal since there will only be 8 in a pack for $8.99 soon. Thanks for the heads up!!!

why did it not work for me? I see it is still ringing up $2.24 for others!! The cashier scanned the pack after I gave her my wellness card and it rang up $8.99 on the screen!!!???? wahhhh
the way dh & ds go through batteries with their xbox remote, I would have loved to stock up on a few packs.
i should add, there were 2 different 10 packs. The one I had the cashier ck was the same one as Collins picture. The other one just said 10 on the pack, and off to the said was a coupon booklet.

I got mine this afternoon on my lunch break, and there were lots left, but I’m not saying where, cause I forgot about those Off Clip-on things that use batteries. We’re going to need a couple of more packs for those this summer!

As of 11:30 am in Mt. Vernon, OH, this deal is still working. I went this morning and picked up 5 packages. I asked for a price check from the cashier and she couldn’t believe that they were ringing up at $2.24! On my receipt, a $3/15 coupon was available after taking an online survey. I went back in, after taking the survey, and picked up 7 more packages. After using the $3/15 it made them $1.96 each! Woohoo! I was told by the manager that it is a legit deal and that this unadvertised deal will last through Saturday!

My Rite Aid had 6 packs left, and I about bought all of them until I noticed that they all expired last year. It may not be a big deal but we generally don’t go though a lot of batteries. So, I only bought one pack… :-/ Maybe I will try a different RA tomorrow.
The date on the back is not the expiration date-it is the date they were made in the factory. The expiration date is ON the battery. It should be sometime around 2016.

I just came back from Rite-Aid and I am utterly amazed that it worked here in Los Angeles. Nothing ever works in Los Angeles! I walked up to the cashier with two packs in my hand just knowing that I was going to have to put them back after she scanned them. When she scanned them she told me they were $8.99 but if I used my Wellness card they would be $2.24…and then she said “Wow, that’s a really good price!” After using $1/1 Q from the P&G book and one of my Ups, I paid $2.92 tax included for two 10 packs. Cha-ching! Thank you for this post Collin….I feel like I hit the jackpot today!
