WOW!  If you live in California, Arizona, or Nevada, have I got a smokin’ *HOT* CVS deal to tell you about! Zack over at Look Before Spending emailed to let me know that on the back of his CVS ad in Sacramento, CA he found a $25 mail-in rebate form for buying 6 bottles of Turning Leaf, Bella Serram Mirassou, Ecco Domani, or Dancing Bull wines (valid in CA, NV, or AZ)!  In addition, he was able to find $1/1 hang tag coupons on the Turning Leaf, Black Swan, Redwood Creek, and Bella Serra wines!  Even sweeter, the Turning Leaf wines were only priced at $5.99 at his store and he also received a 10% discount for buying 6+ bottles of wine in one transaction!  WOW!

If you also received the rebate form in your local ad, here’s a deal scenario for ya…

Buy 6 bottles of Turning Leaf Wine $5.99 each = $35.94
Minus 10% discount for buying 6+ bottles
Subtotal = $32.35
Use 6 $1/1 hang tag coupons
Pay $26.35 out of pocket
Submit for $25 mail-in rebate found on back of CVS ad
Final cost ONLY $1.35 for 6 bottles or $0.23 a bottle!

This is a smokin’ hot deal, but keep in mind that it is regional!  Please come back and let us know if you also received this rebate form in your local CVS ad.

(Thanks, Zack!)

oh man! I’d run their now, if i wasn’t from PA 😉

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was thinking the same thing but Im in CO….too bad!

  2. Carolyn

So jealous…I’m in a dry county 🙁 Would love to grab that deal!

  3. Kristianne

I got the ad but don’t actually have a CVS close by. Do you have to purchase at CVS?

    • Kathy A.

No…it is a manufacturer rebate and does not specify that you have to buy any from any particular store. But CVS is running it along with their sale on those wines in hopes that you’ll buy from them, of course.

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

6 bottles of “win”?? LOL Collin, are you sure you didn’t purchase them too? LOL

    • Collin

      😉

    • Krista

      I’d say wine for 23 cents a bottle is a “win”! 😀

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So. Cal has the rebate form in the ad.

  6. Laura

Wow, great deal! I’m in AZ, I may just have to take advantage of this one. 🙂

  7. LVGrocerySmarts.com

Found it on the back of my CVS ad in Las Vegas, NV!

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

  9. Laura

I sure wish our CVS Stores did that in South Carolina!

  12. Steph

My Rite Aid has bottles of Bella Sera on clearance!!!! I saw that there were some winetags on them too. Looks like I’m making a trip tonight! YAY!

  13. Amy

Man, I wish I lived there today!

  14. cj

    Heading to CVS right now!

  15. Ronni

    I’m on my way!

  16. NinjaMeg

Wow, I never thought I’d find anything cheaper than Trader Joe’s two buck chuck! Score! Will check it out this week

    • Kathy A.

For me, if I had a Trader Joe’s nearby, I’d probably stick with the Chuck since the price is almost the same and you don’t have the rebate hassle. And you don’t have to buy six bottles at once.

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Where do I get the hang tag coupon?

  18. Heather

I love this! Great cooking wines! What is a “hang tag” coupon?

    • Ronni

Just a coupon that is hanging (or attached) to the product.

  19. Rebecca S

    So incredibly jealous!!!

  20. Jennifer M.

Can we use ECB’s to pay for these??

    • NinjaMeg

I wish! My receipt says that alcohol is excluded

      • Jennifer M.

Thank you. That’s what I thought, but i wasn’t sure.

We do have this form in our local CVS ad, but the deal won’t be quite as good as your scenario. CVS has the wine sale for $6.99/bottle. Haven’t been in to see if they have hang tags, but even if they do OOP is $35.94 (not including tax, of course), so $10.94 for 6 bottles or $1.82. Still a deal. The rebate is good until June…so I might see I can find it for a better price elsewhere.

  22. NinjaMeg

I went to CVS tonight and this is what it looked like:

Bought 6 bottles of Turning Leaf on sale for $5.99 each
    I used 4 $1 hang tags
CVS wine promo is 10% off for 6 bottles

    Before tax I paid $28.34
With $25 rebate my TOTAL: $3.34…so about $.55/bottle if I’m doing the math correctly…little more with tax.

    • Kathy A.

Nice! No hang tags for me, unfortunately. And CVS sale price is $6.99. The Turning Leaf is $5.49 at Rite Aid, but no other discounts. They are regularly priced at $6.49, so I don’t get how CVS can call $6.99 a sale. Rite Aid also has Dancing Bull, but that one is not on sale and priced at $8.99. Those are the only brands they had of those listed. The Rite Aid sales is good until 5/31 so I think I’ll wait a bit on this one, see if I can do better.

  23. Rie

No hang tags found for me but willing to try the brand. Does anyone have any recommendations on which Turning Leaf wine is good for cooking?

  24. Jen

I did this deal back in December for other Gallo family wines. You don’t have to buy them at CVS. Ralphs in CA has the Turning Leaf on sale for $4.49 when you buy 6. If you can find the hang tags (I didn’t see any there) you can get the 6 bottles of wine for FREE plus a $4.06 moneymaker!!!!!!!!!

    • Kathy A.

      Awesome! Checking out Ralph’s tomorrow!

  25. Brandi

Fresno, CA has em! Can I mail to readers in other parts of the country? If so I can pick up some extra ads in store and mail out in trade for other coupons. Interested anyone? LMK if it works!

  26. Eppie

I am in SoCal, too, and we got a $2 off a bottle of Jose Cuervo. 🙁 Would have loved the wine!

    • Kathy A.

Why can’t you still get it? The rebate is good until June 8. You don’t have to buy the wine this week, even.

  27. Sarah Tacoma

    worked out great!

  28. Parveen

I went to Raleys/Bel Air and turning leaf was on sale for $4.99 but no hang tags on turning leaf. So I bought 4 turning leaves at $4.99 and two Dancing Bulls on sale at $7.99 and used a hang that was $3 off if you purchased two Dancing Bulls. Raley’s gives a 10% discount WYB 6 bottles. So I am basically paying for 1 bottle of wine and getting 6 for free after rebate!

  29. Kathy A.

I decided to check Von’s on my lunch hour and they had the same deal as Ralph’s, so I didn’t have to do any extra driving. No hang tags, but I bought 5 Turning Leaf bottles for $4.50 and one Dancing Bull, just for something different, for $6.50, so just about $29.00 before tax. Getting that sucker mailed in tomorrow.

  30. Kristen

We found the in-ad rebate + $1/1 hang tags in San Diego.

  31. Jill

Just reading through the comments and laughing…. it is all about perspective! I AM from Calif and will be taking advantage of this great deal but you all don’t know how jealous all us Californians are of your double coupon deals!!!

  32. Jean

Anybody who did this rebate checked the submission status? I checked 5 weeks after submission. Nothing showed up. Anyone has the same problem?

    • Stephanie

I checked too and nothing showed.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I too did this rebate. When I called and followed upthey said to wait a few more weeks. I sent in May 11th.

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Update: I just checked the site and the check mailed yesterday so I hope to get that soon.
