If you purchased the CVS e-Gift cards that I mentioned here (no longer available 🙁 ), you can use them after all your other manufacturer’s coupons for even sweeter deals (treated just like a gift card)!   Also, be sure to scan your CVS card at the Magic Machine this week to see what store coupons print out for you!  If you’re a newbie to CVS shopping, be sure to check out my CVS Store Guide!

Also, you may want to keep an eye out for these CVS store coupon inserts found in the Reinventing Beauty magazine (sold at select CVS stores) for increased savings!  (Thanks, Coupons on Caffeine!)

  1. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Hi Collin,
I was able to find these coupons available at the checkout desk as well without purchasing the magazine. I paired the Lady Speed stick one with manufacturer coupon earlier this week and was able to get it as a money maker! Great deal.

    • Collin

      Awesome! 🙂

  2. Mitch

Wow. I hope they do that milk deal here, their price just went up to 3.89. This is an amazing offer.
    thanks

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Mitch! My daughter was to visit New York. I was there on business in 2001 right before 9/11. I got to see the Twin Towers. Maybe someday I can take her……..

    • Margie

Wow Mitch, I am jealous. Our milk is now up to 4.98. I’m really hoping my CVS has this deal! 🙂

      • Laura

Wow, that is crazy on the milk! I am able to get milk at $1.50-$2 a gallon at Albertsons or Fry’s here.

      • Laura

Milk around me (Middle TN) was $3.99, but it just went down to $2.69. I bet yours will go down too.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

what do they feed the cows there?

    • Renee

I guess we’re lucky in Chicago. Usually either Wags or CVS has milk on sale for $1.99/gallon

      • jmartcougar

milk was 3.19 here in houston plus I used 1 ECB down to 2.19 and they gave 1 ECB!

    • Roger

Unless I’m missing it, I wonder if this milk offer is regional. My ad in SE N.C. just says $3.69, but no mention of a $1 ECB.

      • autum

milk must be regional, garelick brand was 3.99 each for whole milk, no extra bucks

    • Dana

Milk is outragous these days. I pay $4+ a HALF gallon for my son’s lactose free milk. No fun.

  3. Linda

Did anyone notice that CVS weekly sales now starts Sunday and ends FRIDAY!!!!!!

    • Krystal

      Friday?

    • Heather

      where did you see that?

so i guess no sale prices on saturday.

      kindof odd.

    • melissa

ONLY In SELECTED AREAS! There is a test phase going on in, so everyone must read their ad dates carefully.

    • Mandi

my CVS (alabama) said they are going to have 2 different sale ads a week starting June. One sale SUnday – Tuesday or Wednesday and the other will finish out the week….

      • lisa

what area in Alabama? I’m in Mobile and haven’t heard of this

  4. Elizabeth

I may be wrong and if so please let me know. However, I’m not sure Scenario #2 in the gas card deal will work.

Buy 4 Edy’s ice cream 48 oz Buy 1 get 1 Free ~$5.49 each (estimated price)
Buy 4 Doritos or Tostitos chips $2.50
    Subtotal = $31.96
    Minus 2x$5.49 for Edy’s
    Pay $20.98
Get FREE $10 Gas gift card
Final cost $20.98 for all 8 items and a FREE $10 Gas gift card!

Won’t CVS factor is the sale price as they ring you up? Therefore, when you buy the ice cream the first one will ring up $5.49 and the 2nd will be $0.00. This would mean your subtotal is $20.98 so you’re still $9.02 away from the $30 min. to get the $10 gas gift card. Right?

    • stacy

id like to know this too anyone?

    • melissa

Yep, the free one doesn’t count towards the total purchase amount, so you’ll be short $9.02. But you don’t have to buy the $30 at once, it will keep a running total on your receipt.

      • Collin

Thanks for the heads up! 🙂

    • yesica

i was thinking to same thing……

      • yesica

        *the same thing

    • Tina in East Texas

Yes, you’re right. My husband just went shopping (they give you the new week’s sale prices here after 6 pm on Sat.) and the free ice cream doesn’t count. Bummer! 😉

  5. Krystal

I can’t seem to find the Sally Hansen coupon on Coupons.com, what zip code is it under? Thanks!

  6. alicia

I didn’t see it mentioned or in red but the arm & hammer dryer sheets online price is $4.69 so with the bogo sale, using the $3/2 coupon, they would be $0.85 each. Those coupons are in the 4/10 ss, they expire 6/15/11. Hope this helps!

    • Collin

Great deal! Added the coupon, thanks!

      • Renee

If you live i the midwest and have a Menard’s, the arm and hammer dryer sheets are $1.44, so 2 free after coupon.

  7. CouponKungFu

The Irish Spring coupons from the 5/1 SS expire on 5/21. Does CVS have an expiration date grace period?

    • Collin

Oh darn! You’re right…still FREE if you can find the $1/1 coupons in the Reinventing Beauty mag.

    • NolaGirl

Does your CVS start the next week’s sale Saturday evening? If yes, you can score the deal tonight.

  8. Michelle

    Deal Scenario #2:
    Buy 4 Banana Boat Suncare items $6.99 = $27.96
Use 4 $1/1 coupons found in the May or June issues of All You mag.
    Pay $23.96
    Get back $10 Ecb
    Final cost $5.99 each!
*There’s also a $1/1 Hawaiian Tropic regional coupon found in the 5/22 SS or here or in the May issue of All You mag.

The math on this deal is wrong. Pay 23.96 get back 10 ECB = 3.49 each the 5.99 each is before the ECB.

    • Collin

      Oh even better! Thanks…

    • Margaret

All of the Banana Boat product in my CVE had $1 off peelies.

  9. melissa

Just FYI, the $2 Revlon Color Cosmetic purchase will beep on the nail polish. If you look at the bar code on it vs the $1 Nail Polish coupon, you will see a difference. Some cashiers will just put it through, but I’m just going to use the $1 coupon to get them free, to avoid beeping and having to explain that Nail Polish IS a color cosmetic.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had a problem using the color cosmetic coupon on nail polish a while back, the cashier would not take it. I’m just going to use the $1.00 off coupon too. : )

    • Renee

I had the same issue too. It was a while ago and the coupon even had a picture of nail polish and they guy still insisted it meant face products and wouldn’t take it!

    • Maurine

My cashiers refuse the coupon as well, so I only use the ones that have the picture of nail polish on them!

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    THANK YOU COLLIN!!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 THANK YOU COLLIN!!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 THANK YOU COLLIN!!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 THANK YOU COLLIN!!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 THANK YOU COLLIN!!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 THANK YOU COLLIN!!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 THANK YOU COLLIN!!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

I have $10 in ECBs from the sunscreen deal last week so I am set. This will fit so well into my budget. NOW, let’s hope my CVS has all the items!

    • Collin

      You’re most welcome, Anna! 🙂

  11. Renee

I am loading up on these good sunscreen and bug spray deals for the summer! I got 4 Cutter bug sprays at Target for 99 cents each thanks to you!

  12. Renee

A few magic coupons that might help with these deals: I got $1 off any Trident Gum Single pack and $3 off 2 Off Clip On Refills.

  13. Stephanie

Collin, on the Suave deal #2, can you add 1 more bodywash and add 1 of the B1G1 bodywash coupons to sweeten the deal?

    • Collin

      You sure could! 🙂

    • Collin

Woohoo…great store coupon! Only thing is I noticed in the fine print that it says “Limit one coupon per customer per visit. Cannot be combined with any other coupon”. 🙁

      • Renee

It also says Banana Boat will reimburse retailer….on the CVS coupon, so I think even though it says CVS at the top, it’s really a Mfg Q, right?

    • MySweetLoves

I did try to use two (2) of the CVS Banana Boat coupons and the 2nd one does beep. My cashier probably would have pushed it through, but I had the manf. one ready in case.

Just in case someone might not have enough of the BB coupons,
      I did the following scenario:
      (2) Banana Boat sunscreen lotions @ 6.99 ea
      (1) Hawaiian tropic lotion @ 8.99
      (1) Edge shaving cream (our store ~ $2.77)
      Subtotal: $25.74
      1 BB manf cpn @ $1
      1 BB CVS manf cpn @ $1
      1 Hw Trop cpn @ $1
      1 Edge manf cpn $.55
      Total out of pkt: $22.19
Less $10 ECB would be $12.19 for all 4 products
      ( I had a $10 ECB fr/ prev. wk’s Neutrogena promo so I had $12.19 oop)

just another one of Collin’s fans 😉 ~ Tara

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What about the coupon for sobe water… Plus they are buy one get one free

    • Collin

      They expire today 🙁

    • Cristie

Ask your store manager. My CVS accepts manufacturer coupons up to a week expired.

  15. Kate

All Covergirl eye cosmetics Buy 1 get 1 50% off
Buy 2 Covergirl lipsticks $5.99 (based on online price)
Minus buy one get one 50% off sale = $8.99 for both
Use the $2.50/2 coupon found in the 5/1 P&G
    Final cost $3.24 each!

It says eye cosmetics. How can we use lipsticks then?

    • Collin

You mean you don’t use lipstick on your eyes?? 😉 Just kidding…thanks for catching that!! 🙂

  16. Barb

I was looking at the Playtex, Edge, Sunscreen deal and noticed you had the Playtex 18 count. In the sale ad it states 36 count. Am I reading this correctly or could I buy the 18 count?

    • Collin

Nope…you’re right. I updated the post. Thanks!

      • Tina in East Texas

Collin, you’re slipping! NO – JUST KIDDING! Seriously, I don’t know how you keep all these sales – and stores – straight! You are amazing. Thank you for all you do. My life and shopping habits have changed COMPLETELY since I found Hip2Save 2 years ago.

        Love ya!

  17. TAMI

When you make a purchased does anyone know if your beauty club spending automatically
updates total. I purchased biore and revlon total didnt change? Thanks!

    • Elle

Tami- it takes FOREVER to update. i looked online once at my account and it was two weeks behind

    • Janell

Yes, but you won’t see it until your next purchase.

    • Krystal

It should only take 2 days to update

    • Dmkapotsy

The new total will print out on your next shopping trip. You can log into your CVS account and check there for an updated total now. If you think you have enough for your $5 ECB then it will print out at the “red coupon machine” when you scan your card. HTH

  18. Elle

Tami, it takes awhile to update. I checked once online and it was two weeks behind.

  19. Elle

Tami, it takes awhile to update. I checked once online and it was two weeks behind

    • TAMI

      THANKS!

      • Tina in East Texas

Hey y’all – doesn’t it show the beauty club spending on the bottom of the receipt?

  20. Karen

No Biore sale at my CVS. 🙁

Bummed because I had one last coupon to use.

  21. Barb

Sorry Collin one more thing. The ad I am looking at online says the axe is 3/$11.96 making it $15.94 for 4 minus the 2 BOGO bringing the total down to $7.98 with $4 ECB making them $1 each. Each the price regional?

    • Collin

Hmm, that’s odd…it may be a regional price?! The ad I looked at said 3/$13= $4 Ecb.

      • Barb

It must be. Went to my local CVS in the Chicagoland area and got the 3/$11.96. I also noticed that my spend $10 get 3 on the Ragu didn’t include the Ragu in my area. It was only Skippy, Hellmans and Lipton. I guess this must all be part of the test maketing they are doing.

    • michelle

my ad also says 3/$13 on the axe!

    • Amy

It must be regional price. I am just outside of Baltimore, it’s 3/$11.96. Used the 2 BOGO Q’s for Axe deodorant they are $1 each. Not bad!

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Question? Can I do this deal and use the $3.00 off $15.00 Skin Care Purchase coupon that printed from the kiosk when I scanned my card and get both items for free?

Buy 2 Biore cleansers or strips $7.99 ea = $5 Ecb (limit 1)
Use the Buy 1 Get 1 Free coupon found in the 3/6 SS
    Pay $7.99
    Get back $5 Ecb
    Final cost $1.50 each!

    • Collin

Yes, you could! Awesome deal! 🙂

    • Janice Greene

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I had forgotten about the $3/$15 skin care coupon. With your reminder, I scored my Biore for FREE!!!!!

  23. Kat

Was at my CVS today and a bunch of the makeup (all different brands) was up to 75% off. I had all of my makeup coupons with me and scored BIG TIME, especially on Loreal and Sally Hansen. Even got a bunch of NYC items for my girls. Most of the items were a dollar or less after my coupons.

  24. Brianna

My Biore coupon stated Buy 1 Strip Get 1 Cleanser. It didn’t print out the 5EB.

    • Jennifer

I would have fought them on this one. The ad states ‘get $5 ECB when you buy 2’ You did buy 2-one strip and one cleanser

      • Karen

As long as the sale is running at her store. Mine does not have the Biore listed in the sale ad.

        • Brianna

I walked out and walked back in realizing that it wasn’t on my receipt, but my cashier was busy with a long line, and since he knows me, I asked if I could sneak a peek at the ad. I couldn’t find it in there!! Ads are regional too I guess. Thanks for everyones input!

          • Karen

That’s what happened to me as well. My CVS manager was surprised a sale like that was regional…I did get a $4/$20 purchase from the Magic Coupon machine, so it worked out okay for me I suppose. (Although free would have been better.)

  25. Blair

Make sure to scan your cards at the coupon machine! I just left CVS and I got a FREE Green Bag Tag coupon!

  26. Lizzie

I’m lost on this transaction… How can you use a (2) bogo on the body wash and then use (2) .50 coupon on them as well… I can see my CVS giving me a hard time about this

    Deal Scenario #2:
Buy 4 Suave body washes $2
    Buy 2 Suave deodorants $1
    Subtotal = $10
Use 2 buy one get one free body wash coupons found in the 5/22 RP (will deduct $4)
Use 2 $0.50/1 deodorant coupons found in the 5/22 RP
Use 2 $0.50/1 body wash coupons found in the 5/22 RP or here
    Pay $4
    Get back $3 Ecb
Final cost $1 for all 6 items!

    • melissa

you can use a coupon on the one you are ‘buying’ since it is the qualifier for the free one. Give the .50/1 first, then the BOGO. BOGO will beep, but only for the cashier to enter the price.

  27. ida

In my newspaper I got a 75 cents off on the suave deoderant which would make it 25 cents each!!!!!!!!!

  28. Tina in East Texas

I scanned my card at the magic coupon machine today and got a coupon for a free bag tag… however I already have a bag tag! I probably can’t give this to a friend, since it’s attached to my CVS card… can I? Thanks, y’all.

    • jmartcougar

My sister got this too today!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Me too. I got it anyway but don’t know if I can use both. I also got a coupon for $1 off any crystal light. They have sinle serve mix=ins for 50 cents, so I got two for free!

      • Annie

There is a buy 2, get 1 free coupon in some newspaper insert (idk which one??) for the crystal light. It says any crystal light mix, so can we use that coupon, too?? To get all 3 free 😀 ?

    • Applemansee

your “coupon” is attch to your CVS card to get (free) / buy the green tag, you can buy/get the green tag for your friend and then give the tag to them. The green tag its self is not attch to your CVS card.

  29. Krysten

I live in the midwest and i dont think my redplum had a BOGO coupon for Suave…did anyone else notice this?

    • ida

mine didnt have them either,im in california

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I didn’t have one in mine either…live in Wisconsin. Probably just not do that deal, right? I already clipped the coupons though…argh!

    • Amy

I’m just outside of Baltimore and I had no Suave BOGO. The best they offered was $1/3. I don’t think that’s much of a deal.

    • froggyfroggy

I get the MN star tribune and it was in mine this weekend.

  30. Ashley Elaine

I went to CVS to get list of items such as the Suave & Diet Coke and everything was gone 🙁

  31. Rebecca

This may be a ymmv scenario, but I was at CVS today and they had some colors of Revlon nail polish with the 75% off sticker on it. I grabbed that and a regular one to scan at the machine, and neither said anything about the $4ecb but the sale one rang up at $1.37. I asked the cashier at the register if the one on sale would generate an ECB and she wasn’t sure but was willing to try it. Low and behold, it DID generate the ECB and my $2 Q went through fine without any problems. I ended up buying 1 “normal” nail polish and 1 75% off ugly ugly color, used the $2/1 Q and the $1/1 Q and $3 ECB from last week and paid $.84 + tax for both AND got $8ecb back!

    • Amy

I asked and they said no. I’m going back for the ugly red/orange tomorrow that is 75% off and see if I can get the $4 ECB. I’ll sacrifice the 1.45 for a color I don’t like to make 2.65.

      • Amy

Went back to see if it would work, and it did not. No big deal, they voided the sale and I went on my merry way.

    • Jana Biel

At my store, items on clearance do not trigger ECB.

  32. terri

I have a $3 Thermacare CVS coup from a mailer that starts with 48 and a $2 off pain relief coup from the kiosk. Can I combine them with the $5 off 1 Advil and 1 Thermacare product coupon?

    • Joanne

You sure can!! They are both cvs coupons..one for the thermacare and the other for the advil and the $5.00/1 for 1advil and 1 thermacare. Basically, you can stack store coupon with manu. coupon.

  33. Giovanna

Can you roll the ECB’s on the same items? I purchased two Revlon nail polishes today and would like to go back tomorrow to purchase another two using the ECB from the previous polishes….or will the new ECB’s not print??

    • Applemansee

I belive so, its like Rite Aid bucks.

    • Brianna

You can always roll EB’s, unlike Wags RR’s which you usually can’t,

  34. Jennifer B

if I want to buy 4 of the nail polishes will I get the extra bucks for each one. If I spent basically 20 or 18 if they accept the one coupon that I have then would I get the $16.00 in extra bucks?

    • MommySpendsLess

Yes, you will get the Extra Care Bucks for each one but you might want to buy them in separate transactions to make the ECB’s easier to roll. CVS totals up the “like” purchases for each transaction into one ECB so if you buy 4 nail polishes in one transaction you’ll end up with a single $16 ECB, vs. if you bought 1-2 per transaction you’d have a couple of $4-$8 ECB’s instead.

  35. Ashley

I got the BOGO Suave Body Wash but didn’t get the $0.50 off ones. 🙁 Good news is I did get $0.75/1 Suave deodorant!

  36. April

I’m not sure if you have this deal but my CVS has buy two Coppertone Sunblocks get $8 Extra Bucks. There is $1 off in the ad and one coppertone website.

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Milk in my town $2.99 before $1 ecb. I was very pleased.

  38. saveamymoney

I saved over $100 at CVS this week, got $121 in Extra Bucks and turned around and used them to buy grocery items, and got the free gas card with the Extra Bucks–score! It was my first week using tips from Hip2Save. Thanks! I am a believer!

  39. Suszy

    Revlon nail $4.99 = $4 Ecb (limit 6 – nice limit!)
Use the $2/1 coupon found in the 5/8 SS or the $1/1 coupon found in the 4/10 SS
    Pay as low as $2.99
    Get back $4 Ecb
Final cost as low as FREE + $1.01 moneymaker! = These coupons the 2/1 – Mine say they are for ‘Any Revlon Color Cosmetic Product’ – it should work at the store, right? I’m not sure and really hoping it does,

    • Priscilla

cashier wouldn’t even ring the $2 coupon up, she said it wouldn’t work…also wouldn’t ring up the $3.99 colors at their price, she instead wanted to ring up the $4.99 one for all 3…she said otherwise the ECB wouldn’t print if the $3.99 (clearance) ones were rung up.

thankfully I also had the $1 coupon so, I could get 1 (my daughter had picked out)
