    Major thanks!
I am going to be in that neighborhood today so I can use this.
So, they caught us with the savings on toys.
Oh well, it was a good run while we had, I have no more room for Legos anyway!

Just snagged 42 bucks off my item! Sweet!

oh man, I’ve been waiting to buy this one book thats like 25 bucks but i don’t have a borders by me, it got closed 🙁 but i got a 15% off an item coupon from barnes and noble and I’ll order it online for more of a discount, hopefully I’ll still get a good deal 🙂

    • ashley

ohhhh can be used online! thanks! (i read to fast 😉

  4. susie

I did this and they completely mislead you! It took only $1.21 off my book! Borders book are normally a percent off anyway so this ‘50%’ off is NOT what it seems.

  5. autum

I tried this maybe last week and I didn’t like how they used their formula to calculate the percent off. It was the difference between original price and member price; wasn’t really 50% off.

  6. ashley

after these reviews i think i’ll go through ebates and barnes and noble and their 15% (from the mail)

  7. Cayla

I use Borders coupons all the time, and it really is 50% off. The only items that you will not get the full discount on are items that are already “x percent off” (and those are already 30-40% off list price). Only a handful of things in Borders are marked that way, such as hardcover bestsellers. This is a great q, and Borders EASILY has the best coupon program of any major book store. You can also use their q’s in the cafe for a great deal on coffee if you can’t find a book you want.

I definately agree with you. Even better is that I joined Borders plus (which at the time was $20 but I got $10 of that back in borders bucks) so I get free shipping on any online order AND get to use the coupon, plus get an extra 10% for being a Borders Plus member off on top of the 50% off coupon! I love Borders 🙂

      • Cayla

Yep, I love my + membership!

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just used a 50% off coupon at Borders on Monday for the new Chelsea Handler book (it’s hilarious) and it is actually 50% off. A new, hardcover for thirteen bucks is a great deal. I like my books to be books, even with a kindle, I still like to hold a book. I Love Borders!

  9. Stormy

Ditto on the Borders love! I buy NEW books for my daughter…she knows that she gets to choose one every time we go (she’s 2 1/2) and we read a bunch and choose one…a paperback is about $3 or less. We love this little outing together! PLUS, I order Borders gift cards online and keep them, so the dollars are REALLY stretched!!

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Too bad our Borders store in the mall closed a few months back! 🙁

  11. Bobbie

I bought a book that my husband has been dying to get. It is normally $45 so this is a great deal. I am sticking it away for his birthday! 🙂

  12. Lilly L.

I’m going to buy the 4 book set of Pretty Little Liars. The set costs $29.99 but it’s on sale for $23.99. Plus this coupon so total with tax & shipping it will be $18.97! Awesome deal, because only 2 books would be this price!

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have a $5 Borders gift card but even with that, I couldn’t justify paying for shipping when I have Amazon prime. If anyone wants to use my 50% off code you are welcome to it—it’s BRR5721N.

    • Erin

Thanks for the coupon code 🙂

Ours also has lots of non-book items you can use your coupon for like Burts Bees, small gift items, and organizing stuff for desks (like magazine files, paper trays, pencil holders etc). I used my coupon last week for this cutting gadget to use for cutting coupons easily. Not sure what I’ll use this one for today. I never get as good of coupons from Barnes and Noble, but I enjoy both of them.

  15. olymama

It says one coupon per customer, but I don’t see if it can be used online AND in store. Can you do both?

  16. Dianna

For those of you who like to read but have too many books stashed around the house, check out Paperback swap, here’s a link: https://www.paperbackswap.com/index.php?r_by=dgardenhour%40charter.net

It’s free, you post your unwanted books online and when someone requests it you mail it to them. Then you get a credit to choose a free book! I never seem to get around to taking my used books to the resale shop so this is a great alternative for me.

Just got back from using my borders coupons. I printed 2. One for me and one for my child (as it says one per customer). They have the nerve to tell me that my kid was not a customer. I thought they were joking. Oh the joys of coupons. People needs to realize the buying power kids have through their parents.
