I ordered my pair when this was available last week, just received them today. I needed new glasses so this wasn’t just an extra pair for me. I got the coatings upgrade plus my prescription is moderately high so I got the thinner lenses. Total after all that and shipping was only $64, totally thrilled! Had I purchased at the place at the mall during their 50% off sale, my total would have been $185! Plus they came with a hard case, soft cloth case, cleaning cloth, and screwdriver. Can’t beat that!
I just snagged a pair. I got some titanium frameless with thin lenses – had to pay the difference on the lens upgrade plus shipping, but this was still a STEAL compared to local. I had JUST priced nearly identical frames in Stainless at WalMart, and they were $110 just for the frames. The Titanium should be even lighter.

* Certain frames are NOT eligible for the promotion. If you see a “Coupons not applicable” message on a pair of frames, then it is excluded from the promotion.
* You will need a copy of your current eyeglasses prescription (it’s different from your contact lens prescription) and your PD measurement. Sometimes your PD will be on your prescription, but if not, watch this instructional video on how to measure it.
* After you have chosen your frames and selected your shipping method, you’ll go to a “Order Review & Payment” page, where you can enter and apply your coupon code. After applying your code, you will see your order total before you choose to check out (remember that you will have to pay shipping/handling charges of $10-$15)
* If you would prefer to order a pair of prescription sunglasses, you can use the coupon code and then you can add a tint to your lenses and simply pay for the cost of the tinting, which is about $30.
* Your free pair of glasses will include the standard 1.5 index lenses, which accommodates up to a -8.00. However, if your prescription is over a + or -2.00, you may want to upgrade to a thinner, lighter lens. If you choose to upgrade your lenses, or have selected progressives, Transitions or a tint, you will see the cost of the upgrade in your order total.
* If you’re not happy with your glasses for any reason, Coastal Contacts will allow one exchange for another free pair at an equal or lesser value. No, but you can add tint to any glasses to make them into sunglasses! (but it will cost extra)
I’d just like to add to the the positive feedback. I NEED new glasses and took advantage of this great offer, unfortunately, the glasses I chose just weren’t right for me. I called, they instantly sent me a free return shipping label and credited my account when they received and processed it. They also said I can take part in the next free glasses promotion! Yeah! So, we shall try again.

The free glasses giveaway started this morning at 9am EST. The code has been active on their FB page all morning. Is the giveaway at noon a different one?

How do these people make money giving all their glasses away?! I just don’t get it.
I would totally take advantage of this if I had my rx updated.
I actually tried to take advantage of the offer at the last giveaway. However, after adding extra for thinner lenses (I have a really strong prescription) and the anti-reflective coating, etc., they were at or over $100. I’d rather go to EyeMart or somewhere where I can try on first and make sure. Do others really get totally free glasses?
If you have a light prescription, they are super cheap. Us blind folk (mine is -5.25) don’t get cheap glasses. I order mine from zenni optical’s site, my husband now does and we order my twin three yr olds’ glasses from them. We did get one pair on the mail crushed, and within a week had a replacement pair at no charge. Two years of excellent glasses! Mine are $54 for high index lenses, nice metal frames, and scratch and reflection coatings. Oh and I got clip on sunglasses too, splurged 😉
you have to pay for shipping/insurance, but if you don’t get any extras, they are free. I added coatings, and with the shipping/insurance I paid just under $35; AND got them sooner than expected! Great company.
I’ve been trying to get this deal for awhile and I finally had all the numbers I needed! I’ve heard great things about this deal and can’t wait to get mine!
I took advantage of this deal the last time around and got glasses for my son who recently needed prescription glasses. The glasses came in less than a week and have been great. We paid $32 b/c we got the bundle for anti-glare, anti-scratch and something else for $14 and then they charge $10 for shipping and then about $8 for handling. The shipping and handling charge is a bit steep, but still a lot less than if you got the same glasses at a brick and mortar store…also the turnaround time was very fast. Afterward, we ordered 2 more pair from Zenni Optical and the cost was about $45 with the bundle, shipping, tint and frames…still a good price, but they took about 3 weeks to come. I’d be willing to pay more for the shipping to get a quick turnaround on the product.
I’ve been seeing those giveaways and really wanted new pair of glasses since the last glasses I got was probably back in 2006 (frames). I just saw the eye doctor yesterday for new RX so I was pretty excited to see this again! I could not order them on the website (wasn’t working), so I called them to place my order. Thankfully, the person was nice and helped me with my order. This is my first time so I’m a bit nervous, I really hope that they DO work on me and look nice. Told me that the estimated delivery date will be June 9th.

Hey–I’m not sure of what the return policy means? If I didn’t want an exchange and needed a refund, would they be able to do that? Or only exchange?

“If you need to return an order for any reason, our 365 day return policy makes it easy! If you need to exchange an order, just make sure the new product is of equal or lesser value than your original purchase. If it’s of higher value, you can simply cover the difference. Whether returning or exchanging, we’ll pay the return shipping!”

Their customer service is super, just give them a call with your questions, or one time I used their chat feature on their website. I had to send mine back to fix the perscription and the cs lady was super friendly.
I did this deal last time, and got my glasses quickly and they are perfect! I love this website:) I will be ordering a pair for my hubby when he gets his eyes checked again. I’ve referred several friends, my mom, and my mother-in-law. Too bad they don’t have a referral bonus!

They do have a referral program, Natalie. I don’t remember where exactly on the site I saw it, but I read that you can refer someone and get a $50 credit with their first purchase. It may be worth looking into 🙂
With my order came a card explaining that after a friend that you refer makes a purchase, you get $25 credit toward your next purchase. Check the box again that your order was shipped in if you still have it.
I have been wanting to get in on this but I have got to find out what my PD is! Did you guys go to the eye dr to find out or did you get someone to measure your eyes?
I used the measurement tool on the website to find mine. Also I had my husband measure and it was pretty close. And my glasses work great so it must have been close enough. 🙂
