   Man, I’m glad I bought the pink pearly button necklace as soon as I saw your post. Because when I went back thirty minutes later it was sold out. I missed out on the 10% off code because I was in a hurry but its okay. I got the necklace I wanted 🙂 I bought tons of wooden button necklaces in Thailand last summer, I love them! I’m excited to have a pearly one too 🙂

    Just adding, Ten Thousand Villages began as a “self-help” ministry of the Mennonite Church so that people in third-world countries and living in poverty in North America could support themselves through handcrafts and art. And that is still its focus. Initially, there was NO price mark-up other than the import duty to the U.S. and the shops had to find other ways to pay their rent and costs. Today, even when items go on sale, the artisans still receive full pay for those items. So by shopping self-help, you not only get unique hand-crafted items, you are helping to lift people out of poverty around the world! 🙂
