Many of my friends have told me that Walmart will not accept a bogo q with a cents off q. is it clear in the policy?
I don’t know about the policy, but the cashiers have informed me that it’s against Wal-Mart policy. The only cashiers I go to there are very coupon friendly and would do it if at all possible.
Do you need to go to the customer service counter to get them to price match it? Or can any cashier just do it during your purchase?
Cashier should be able to do it, just have to show the ad.
Any register can price match. I would just bring in the ad to show them as you check out.
Your cashier at the register should have no problems price matching right there. I did it last week when I brought my Walgreens ad for Starbucks coffee for $6.99 and Walmart’s selling it for $8.88 now. He adjusted it immediately.
The cashier will do it. Just tell her they’re on sale at Walgreens for $6.99. You need to have the ad with you in case she wants to look at it.
Now if we could get them to price match the $4.99 that would be even better =)
On a side note, if you have a Giant Eagle, they are priced for $6.99 this week, Our Meijer has them for $6.79 this week also. Both of these stores carry Juicy Juice.
I know Walmart takes competitor’s store coupons. Do they take “one competitor’s store coupon” + “one manuf. coupon” for one item?
The Wal-Mart by me will not take competitor’s coupons. They will also not take store ads that are buy one get one free. Even had the store manager at my checkout and they would not budge on it.
No, they don’t take competitors coupons. An ad they had a while back made it sound like they do, but I called Wal-Mart cooperate and they said they didn’t. I was having so much trouble with this when I'[d try to use other store coupons. 🙁
They will take a coupon from a competitor if the price of the item is stated on the coupon…I haven’t seen many coupons that have this!
About a month ago I had my local walmart price match baby food. When I gave the cashier my coupons she said you can not use coupons on price match items because that would make walmart lose money. I asked to speak to a manager because in the past I had used coupons on price matches. The manager said the samething. Although this is the same store that if you check out with a ton of coupons they scan them all, then print out a receipt and make a manager match up each coupon with an item..check out takes about 2 hours, I am boycotting walmart right now.
Have you called Walmart’s customer service number? If the higher up’s aren’t aware of how things are going at a local store, it will continue to be miserable for you and every other couponer out there. Not saying it will fix everything, but at least it’s worth a shot.
Wow! That Walmart must have it’s own coupon policy. Did you print out the policy and Price match guarantee pages. I would! I was at Walmart last week and told them that Purex was on sale at another store for 1.97. They gave it to me for 1.97 (without the ad) and then took off my 1.00 coupons making them .97 cents each.
The only thing I see in the coupon policy about a manager/ supervisor verification is if you use 40 or more coupons in one transaction. A coupon is valued $20.00 or more off of one item. And lastly $ 50.00 or more in one transaction.
I think your walmart is just trying to be difficult. I would contact corporate if I was you.

I had them price match an item last week to Walgreens ad, and also had a $1.00 off coupon on top of that and it wasnt even questioned.
Target has told me the same thing before too. They wouldn’t let me price match and use a coupon, but I suspect it was just that store.
Walmart will price match without the ad now too! I was there asking a question about an ad and wanted to know if I had to print it off to bring with me. They said no you no longer need an ad! Just wanted to let everyone know.
On the new WALMART Ad match Guarantee it states….
We do not require customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor’s ad.
Just wnet this morning, and my Walmart matched the Walgreens ad plus took the $2.00 off coupon and added that to the copmetitor price match for a price of $4.99. Then I used the $2.00 off coupon for a final price of $2.99. The Walgreens deal is for a 12 pack, but the packs I got said 11 pack plus 7 additional free, so I got this deal for 18 packs. I was told that my Walmart will take all copetitor’s coupons, and just enter them as a competitor price match.
The only problem here is that Walmart doesn’t sell the 10-12 count packages that are on sale at Walgreens. My Walmart only has 17 count and up. 🙁

I am a manager at walmart and they will price match the item if there is a walgreens near you but you will not be able to use both coupons because it states one coupon per item and the register wont let both of them go through cause you would be using 2 coupons little swimmers
Jess, that doesn’t make much sense. The coupon is for a free Juicy Juice 8pk when you buy little swimmers. You price match it, use the $2 off coupon for the Little Swimmers, and then the other coupon is for free Juicy Juice. Not being able to use it because the register beeps sounds like poor planning on the register programmer’s part, since you can do this transaction at Meijer, Giant Eagle, CVS, Walgreens, etc., with no problems.
I think Jess meant you would not be able to use the man q for $2 and the store q for $2 making the swimmers $2.99 and then be able to use the juice q.
I would like to think the same, but I have ALWAYS had trouble using coupons in this type of situation at my local walmart. it’s not even worth it for me to try anymore, because the last time I tried a situation like this I had a copy of the coupon policy with me and the CSM refused to allow it. I have contacted corporate several times about this store, as have other local couponers. It really doesn’t seem to make a difference.
How “near” does it need to be?
If you use the buy little swimmers get a juicy juice free the register prompts that you used a coupon on the little swimmers…so at the walmart I work at you would not be able to use the $2 off one

Does anyone know how close the WalGreens needs to be to the WalMart? Mine are 30 miles apart…Will they still price match?
I have the same question, because I’d like to PM to an Aldi’s ad, but I don’t have one near me. I noticed that the PM rules say something about “local”, but that seems a little vague.
they would do it at 30 miles apart.. at the walmart i work at as long as we get the ad in our paper we will price match it
My Walmart will price match Target and the closest Target to us is 45 minutes away. So they should price match 30 miles…..but it’s a YMMV situation….
Coupon says I have already printed…which I know I haven’t. Has anyone else had this problem?
My Walmart will not do the ” buy this,get that” ad matching. They will take competitors coupons with a price like a price match,but not a coupon with dollars or cent off like a manufactures coupon. They expained the reason is the prices are different even before the coupon so your not really matching the competitors price if there isn’t one.which makes sense if you think about it. It is still confusing though.
