Sometimes if you do a direct link to a coupon it will give you that error. Something about how the url is coded.

A friend was talking about his wife’s couponing. He said that a couple of years ago KY was a big moneymaker, so she bought a hundred tubes.

He had us in tears when he was describing how they gave handfuls of tubes to everyone who came to visit. =D

I just spit my tea out all over! So funny, I can picture my husband doing that! 🙂 Thanks for the hysterical laugh!!!!

My walmart said last night that they could not take any coupons printed from Smartsource.com

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You might want to print off a copy of their coupon policy, which you can find at walmart.com. I show it to them everytime they try to adjust down a coupon because the value of the coupon exceeds the price of the item. It clearly says the overage should be applied to my basket and it says they willa ccept any online printed coupon as well.

      Hope this helps 🙂

  17. Kathryn

I just printed a $2 coupon – Thanks Collin! btw – has anyone tried the Yours + Mine? Just want to say – AWESOME! Lol

    • jessey

      I have….and I AGREE!!!….LOVE it!!!!

  18. Mary

Walmart question: Will they take a catalina from Walgreens that says “manufacture coupon” at the top?

    • Christina

yes as long as it is $$ off a certain item, it can’t be the (basket) $5 off purchase kind

  19. samantha

ashleigh..according to what ive been told via email with walmart ..just like any store..its up to the managers discretion to even accept printed coupons from the computer..sucks some places still dont allow them. ..but yay it printed.

    • Kristen

But it has to be the Store Manager. The CSM don’t have the power to not accept it. They should take any legitimate internet coupons unless the Manager has released a memo saying otherwise.

      • Christina

Kristen is correct, I have had this discussion with our local MANAGER, the CSM does NOT have that power at all, in fact if people are having issues with the CSM they need to call the store and let the front end manager know whom is also above the CSM’s manager. Some CSM’s are not following store policy because it is too much of a job to make sure everyone is doing it so they just cave in and allow these cashiers to do what they want. Until you call, that manager has no clue there is a problem because the CSM’s are not telling them. Sorry but man do I have some great truth telling experiences that would blow some people’s minds.

Dentists use lubricating jelly (usually a medical kind, but in school we use KY on mannequins) for placing rubber dams. So think about that next time you’re in the dentist office to get some work done 😉

  22. candice

there’s a trial size version at walmart making this FREE!!!

  23. Carrie Anne

I want to remind everyone that plain old KY is great for people with feeding tubes, tracheostomy tubes etc… Please consider donating them if you have too many!

  24. Laura

I’m not a huge fan of KY…too bad there isn’t an Astroglide coupon. 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      ditto!

  25. Beth

The Walgreens I was at the other night had sample packs of 6 or 8 different kinds of things. I wanna say it was around $4.

  26. RNHelloKitty

If these are ever money makers for you and you want to buy them but don’t “need” them, nursing homes use the stuff like crazy to administer suppository pain meds and stuff like that and they as well as home care agencies may appreciate them as donations. Anyone who has a urinary catheter may appreciate them too. Just sayin’…

  27. Nicole Cleveland

I actually saw this clearanced out for .75 today at my walmart. They didn’t have any left. But they must be doing away with it. I have noticed a trend since walmart has changed there coupon policy as well, they seem to be trying to do away with “money maker items”. Such as a couple weeks ago I got the free Bic razors that were priced at $1.97 with the $3 coupon. They have re issued the same coupon again so i went back to get more today, they are now priced at $2.97. Also they are getting rid of the travel size 3 in 1 purex they were clearanced out for .75 cents as well with none left. Has anyone else noticed things like this happening? Just curious. I don’t think they should have changed there policy if they are using it to adjust the costs of there products to make more money for themselves instead of saving there customers money. :/

    • Jennie

I have seen that same trend here in Las Vegas, but not just at Walmart. I think because of thast awful coupon show, so manymore people are now couponing, and unfortunately, many are abusing the system. It ruins it for us everyday couponers who do this to surrvive this slumping economy::(

    • Target has magic

Walmart is changing there stores across the country, ours have only had about twenty five items total on travel section now for about a year. The section is missable it is soo small at all locations here. Things where changing so much, and with a super one being built around my corner I wanted to know what was going on. Not because of couponing, this was before I ever touched a coupon in January. They are going to be carrying MORE of the SAME. They are downsizing the amount of different products they carry and amping up the ones they do carry. They are doing tests all over, if they don’t sell a certain amount within a certain time frame, the product is then pulled from that location. They where also able to cut costs doing this and make more money. This enables them to strike an even bigger deal with a manufacturer by ordering much more. Now at our one location, if you have a coupon for a product with no limit they are congrating the use of many. You can’t wipe out the product there is now soo much. This enables all that saving. If a product is off shelf, ask for the scanner to see if there is more in the back. I have done this now and they have it, just havn’t re stocked yet. Or they will call you when they come across the stock in back. If it is gone it should be in in a couple days or next day and they will call you. I am not a coupon crazy, I save normal and love a freebie. After some great conversation with some managers (after treated poor, and comments about the show only using five to 10 different coupons with a cartful of product with no coupons) I have been told that they are coupon friendly now and the cashiers best get used to it. They make too much money from it and are finding easier ways to have more of the items there are coupons for. So I actually tested this, I went on here and printed the list, gathered my coupons, price matches and got coupons from family. Went to my location (still bad treatment), went to different location and a product was not there. I found a manager, he got an employee who scanned it…they had hundreds…told me to finish my shopping, they actually came and found me to let me know the product was out. Grabbed a few..YEAH they where free. Cashiers where great too. Called my store manager very PO’d ..pleaded to come back. Again went products gone…ahh person did not want to help found another, they did scan, did get and bring to me, check out SAME BAD BAD. I really think it depends on the location. Called the manager again, again PO’d wants to meet in person. She said we could have 100 coupons and price matches and if treated bad then that employee needs new job. Talked to a employee one day, he mention that the employees are learning from the customers, getting the websites to look at and print and where to get coupons from a clipping service (a local company that if you take them papers, they will cut them out….I had no idea about that one, thats crazy…or lazy, the things people pay others to do these days, hahaha). Employees are buying lots of papers too, apparently free and money makers are spreading like wild fire…well if they hide stuff, it’s technically not checked out yet. So if they scan the shelf and see its in stock they have to find that product. Apparently a invoice can be printed for these scans too. I guess Employees can now loose there job if they think they can stash it in the back until they get there coupons or get out of work, but they are still doing it. So asking when not on shelf helps prevent them from all stashing. Those razors have always been $2.97 in NY, from my understanding too they are going to be changing a lot of personnal and household prices to match more across the country. The travel size purex, was supposed to be limited time to get the product out there, I got one and noticed it had a coupon in it for the regular size, whenever that happens on a travel item for a new product, the company usually stops the travel after a certain time. Now I did ask about this too and a employee told me that purex was supposed to pull that months ago, but was selling so many they extended it. I thought ours was not carrying the reach floss for under $1 anymore…then boom they had switched the section around and had hundreds and all diff. flavors. Personally I think its target that sneaky, all prices have been going up especially on stackers. And if it was free with a stack, that cost went up up to 50 cents and even a dollar so no more free. I have also seen them pull a clearance that people could get free…and magic its back when coupon no longer valid. I call it Target has magic…lol Sorry i blabbed forever, have a great weekend and hope the finds get easier for you, and all of us, 🙂

The coupons excludes trial sizes. Aren’t the 2 oz at walmart trial size?

    • Christina

ahhh, travel. Trial is a one to two time use. I know this but stillI asked this very question, manager said if it scans they take it. I did scan, no beep just $2.00 ? which the cahiers hits yes or whatever because they have to for all MQ that are over item cost. Well cashier took that as a no, she embarassed me…like in a movie yelling out about the KY being trial and only 97cents. CSM (different than manager)came over and told her its travel not trial and that they now pay overage, and if the register takes it then they purchased the correct item, she then added, Simply put if its in the travel section its travel item. Cool for me, I made a dollar 🙂 Perfect example too, was the advil $3off any two excluding trial. Mine expired(boo) didn’t realize at walmart the travel (10) was only 97cents.
I could have gotton two with overage. Advil trial size is the packet with two in it for one time. Hope this helps. Target here does not allow any travel items with a MQ, I kinow there coupon states excludes travel but they wont allow any

Also GREAT tip please do this…keep with you at times a MQ that says EXCLUDES TRIAL,,and one that states EXCLUDES TRAVEL, and one that states EXCLUDES TRIAL AND TRAVEL, even if no longer valid, I keep them in my planner and this helps prove that there is a difference because young cashiers just dont know what is what or the difference sometimes, most will tell you there parents buy stuff and they didnt know there was a difference.

    • Christina

oops forgot, no 2oz is a larger size regular size actually. Those sell for $4.50-$5.00 at drugstores 2oz KY actually goes a long way….lol, 🙂 sorry meaning lasts a long time.

  29. dropofrain

our Walmart is completely out of this size. I got a couple of them awhile ago; then I saw a few empty boxes (geez, someone was really desperate stealing them). And now they are off the shelf, looks like for good
