  1. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m saving mine for Harry Potter.

    • Derek

9 bucks for HP 7-2 sounds like a pretty awesome deal. I am definitely going to do that exact same thing. CAN’T WAIT!!!!! Thanks, Collin!

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This is just in time. I’ve been looking for movie ticket deals all week. Judy Moody comes out tomorrow and as hot as it is, this is actually a great activity for us. Thanks.

  3. Diane

Thanks Collin! I love these deals. This is the only way my husband and I go to the movies…it’s too expensive otherwise 🙂

  4. Melanie

This is an awesome deal bcuz even though the Living Social promo code expires in Sept., if you go ahead & apply it to your Fandango account right away, it will be available under your Fandango account for much much longer, like a year or something like that. This is my second purchase of this deal so I will now have a total of $50 to use at Fandango.com for only $18 out of pocket! Thanks Collin, you rock!

    • Lori

I would love to hear more about this $50.00 to use at Fandango.com with your purchases. Does anyone know how this works?

      • olymama

Melanie is saying that she has bought this deal twice and added the code to her Fandango account which shows up as a credit for her to use in the future. That’s how she has $50 in her account.

        • Melanie

Right, if you purchase the deal above, it will only cost you $9 through Living Social, but when you apply the Living Social code to your Fandango account it will give you $25 to use on the Fandango site. So your paying $9 for $25.

          • Lori

Thank you everyone! That cleared that up! This deal is awesome.

    • Summer

Would you mind telling me how you add the promo code to your account? I have a previous code and it just tells me the info. of the code, it doesn’t add it. Let me know if you get a chance! Thank you!

      • yangzi

I also want to know how to add promo code to Fandago.com website.

BTW, previous code expired 6/6, so that may be why we can not add the code…?

      • yangzi

        @ Summer

I forgot to use previous Fandago LivingSocial deal code before 6/6. Today, I was trying out the code and found out it took $8 off my order when I put 2 Adult movie tickets ($5 per ticket) in my Fandango shopping cart. Your code may be still good like mine… Just FYI.

        • Summer

Thanks for letting me know! They’re probably being nice and making sure we didn’t pay $9 for nothing!

    • naomi

How did you get $50 credit out of $18?

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Do any of you know if this covers the convenience fee? I’m thinking that it does but wanted to make sure. Thanks.

    • AliciaSC

My husband and I used ours this weekend and YES! It did cover the convenience fee! 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you for answering my question! 🙂

    • amanda

Yes it does. I just used mine from last time and my total was $23.50, 2 tickets @ $10.50 each and 2 convenience charges @ $1.25 each!!!

  6. Samantha

I’m saving mine for Harry Potter too! Lol…cheap date night for me and the hubby! 🙂 Thanks for posting this, Collin!

  7. yvette

Love this deal! I got these last time. Thanks for the heads up Melaine, I didn’t know that trick!

Don’t forget you can score your own tics for free if you get 3 ppl to sign up under you!

  8. Mouse

I got one for me and 1 for my sweetie as both our birthdays are within a 1 month span not including mothers day and fathers day plus 2 kids birthdays within the same month its worse then Christmas 🙂

  9. Cherz

    Super 8 was awesome!

  10. Jamie S.

I got them Thanks I bought the last ones and used them to see Panda 2 it was nice plus I got a $3 off movie or concession from an M&Ms package and was able to get some sour patch gummies at the movie theater free yay!

  11. wendy

I’ve never done one of these… there’s no catch or anything? Does anyone know when Cars 2 comes out?

    • Emma

No catch… I did it last time around… Cars 2 comes out last wknd in June… I cant wait to take my son to his first movie… he’s a cars maniac

      • wendy

OK, thanks! I’d have to have someone watch my 2 year old, but this seems like a cheap way to take the older two to the theatre. I don’t think I’ve been with them since Monsters vs. Aliens! Plus I have a $15 Cobb gift card that would help.

    • olymama

That’s what I am using mine on, it comes out June 24. There is no catch. I have used these before and also bought other things on Living Social. When you get the deal, they will give you instructions for redeeming it which you have to do online. Hope that helps!

      • wendy

I just wish I had some credit!

    • Leslie

I was worried about a catch too the first time around. Living social did this deal a couple months ago and it was pretty easy. $9 total for 2 tickets.

  12. wendy

Oooh, uh oh though – it doesn’t look like the Cobb theatre in my area is included in this. 🙁 When looking on the Fandango site, it would have to be “Fandango Ticketing Theatres”, right?

  13. Brittany

What city is this deal for? I can’t find it?

    • Collin

I was only able to access this deal via my affiliate link in the post above; I am not sure if this deal is available under a city?!

  14. Kim

I can’t use Collin’s link, I’m at work and it is getting blocked. Although, for some reaosn I can go directly to http://www.livingsocial.com, so I am not sure what the difference is, but if someone could post what city this is in, I can just change the city directly at the top of the page. Thanks so much!

  15. Lena

Thanks so much Collin! I bought this deal the first time around, I had a $15 credit at the time so that deal was totally free, and we used M&M’s movie cash to get cheap concessions. This time I used the other $6 of my credit, so $3 for 2 tickets, and I have more M&M’s cash! Cheap date night here we come. 🙂

  16. Catherine

We bought this deal last time it came out and loved it. I was so easy. Does anyone know how to search for nationwide groupon and livingsocial deals? I can only find the ones for different cities-not a nationwide ones.

  17. Lacey

My husband is a teacher, so I think we’ll use our to see Bad Teacher…It looks hilarious!

  18. Cory

Can someone post this city this deal is for? I cant take the link directly, but I’d like to purchase! Thanks!!

  19. suzski

    City, please?

    • joan s

It is hard to find without a personalized link, go to Hip2saves facebook page and use someones link or email me for my link my email is jennifer08j and its a hotmail account, for some reason comments with links are not showing

  20. wendy

Can anyone tell me if it works at ANY theatre, or only ones listed under Fandango Ticketing Theatres?

    • joan s

      Only Fandango ticketing!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Hey Wendy,

It works only with the theaters listed under Fandango Ticketing Theaters.

  21. wendy

So it looks like there are none in my area 🙁

  22. Brittany

HOW CAN I FIND THIS DEAL???????????????????????????

    • joan s

go to facebook under hip to save and use someones link or email me at jennifer08j its a hotmail email address

  23. wendy

I am so freaking confused. There are NO theatres listed on their site, but when I call their number, it lists them. I dont know what to do!

    • joan s

The theater has to be listed on the Fandango site as a Fandango ticketing theater, for the voucher to work. Fandango does offer show times and theater info for non ticketing theaters, but the voucher will not work there.

  24. Barb

Seems all the HIp2savers have crashed the site 🙁 Hope it comes back up soon!
Thanks for the heads up Collin.

  25. tanya

anyone getting the “wow, that’s not good, someone must have tripped the internet cable, stopping you from purchasing today’s deal…?”

    • Laura

Yep. I guess we’ll have to wait a bit.

    • Tracy

woops! when i purchased, about 15 minutes ago, there were already almost 169,000 purchases!

  26. jen p

Last time they offered this deal the site was up and down all day, keep trying 🙂 Also if you go to the hip2save facebook page you can use someones personalized link from the comments section to help them get free tickets.

  27. dawn

Thanks Collin, I get emails from livingsocial but it didn’t mention this one. Dawn

    • Tracy

i didn’t get the email for this either, i think because it isn’t a specific city deal.

  28. wendy

Well my theatre is listed when I call their number so I guess I’ll give it a try!

  29. blueflower

i just bought it. and under ‘my deals’ its says its not active yet. When does it get activated?

    • Jennifer K

when the deal ends are midnight

  30. Guest

this makes for a cheap date night. wahoo!!! though we better use it before the baby comes, since it expires in september! thanks collin!

  31. deAnne

The movie “Bridesmaids” is absolutely hilarious! Great one to go see with your girlfriends!

    • Kimberk

so stinking funny!! A friend & I went to see it using this deal the last time it was out 😀

  32. Savannah Alexander

This would normally be a good deal but our theater is running a special this summer. If you see a movie between 4 and 5:30 pm you can get your tickets for only $5 each! This actually turns out to be a better deal once you factor in the fee that fandango charges. This is through Carmike cinemas, not sure if it’s just a local deal or if they are doing it at all locations.

    • Diana

My local Carmike theatre is doing that also. I also got this deal, because my husband wont be able to make a movie during that time. Last time I bought this deal, my hubby and his friend went to watch a movie and it was completely free.

    • Nicole

      The deal covers fandango fees

    • Shaaron

This deal covers the fee that fandango charges and you can go at anytime so, it turns out to be a better deal than Carmike. It covers up to $15 per ticket!

  33. Annie

Any cashback sites out there? 🙂

    • Rana

I looked under Ebates and ShopatHome and neither lists Living Social.

  34. Rachelle

I don’t understand how to use this deal. I buy the tickets on this website, then I wait for vouchers to arrive in the mail? I am confused.

    • Kimberk

You buy the deal through the living social website. Then you will get an email telling you when the code is activated & how to get your code. Last time my code wasn’t ready till the next day. It’s a great deal if you go to the movies. A friend & I went to a 7:00 movie & it would have cost us $21 for the two tickets. But since I had purchased this deal it didn’t cost more than the $9 I paid to get the code 🙂

  35. Lindsey

Heads up: If you want to buy the deal for $4 instead of $9, do this: Click this link (take out the spaces), sign up and you’ll have a $5 credit in your account to spend on the deal.

    htt ps:// livingsocial .com/ redeem_invite /186 49317- weinga? ref=lnk

    Then, go to:ht tp:// livingsocial .com/ deals/ 57725? offer_id = 4&aff _id =643
(take out the spaces) to buy the tickets. 🙂

    • Kate

Didn’t work for me. Used the links and no $5 off!

  36. Gayla

This is one of my favorite deals! I did this deal last time to see Rango (I do not recommend however). I sisgned my hubby up and got two offers. Now we will use them for Judy Moody and HP too!

  37. sandy

A restaurant that I bought a living social voucher for has closed. Living Social is not responding to emails asking about a refund . Anyone else had the same problem?
