A.C. Moore
On Saturday from 1-3PM, attend the Free Hands On Demonstration for the My Friendship Bracelet Makers.  Also, be sure to go here to check out the Summer Fun Wednesday Make & Take events that happen on Wednesdays from 3-5PM.

Apple Camp
At Apple Camp, kids aged 8-12 learn how to shoot their own footage, create an original song in GarageBand on an iPad, and put it all together in iMovie on a Mac. This free workshop, held at the Apple Store, spans three days and ends with campers debuting their masterpieces at the Apple Camp Film Festival. Barnes & Noble
Through September 6th, Barnes & Noble is having their Summer Reading Imagination’s Destination program where kids in grades 1-6 can earn a FREE book whenever they read ANY 8 books!  Go here for more details.

Bass Pro Shops
On Saturday 6/11 and Sunday 6/12 from 2-5PM, make a free leather keychain (while supplies last). Plus, through July 10th, make free crafts, attend free family workshops, and participate in free activities every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Saturdays and Sundays.  Go here for more details and times.

Blockbuster
If your child has a B average or higher on his/her report card from the last semester, you can get a FREE rental at Blockbuster stores!  Go here for more details.  Also, whenever you rent one movie priced at $2.99, you’ll snag FREE 1-day rentals priced at $1.99 or less through July 4th (1 rental at a time).  Go here for more details.

Blue Star Museums
Blue Star Museums are offering free admission to active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day, May 30, 2011, through Labor Day, September 5, 2011. Go here for more details.

Borders
Through September 5th, Kids under 12 read can read 10 books (no purchase necessary, list the books read on the form found here and have a parent/guardian sign it.  Then, starting 6/1/11 – 9/5/11, take the completed form to any Borders, Borders Express, or Waldenbooks store for a free book from this list of 20 booksGo here for more details on the Double-Dog Dare Challenge Summer reading program.   Also, on Saturday 6/18 from 1-3PM, you can stop by your local Borders Books and Music Store to receive FREE samples.

Carmike Movies
Carmike theaters are offering $1 movies every Thursday throughout the Summer starting at 10am. See locations and movie schedule here.

Chuck E. Cheese

Every Saturday in June, attend the Martial Arts Action races to celebrate the upcoming release of Cars 2 in theaters June 24. Race 1 starts at 10:30AM, Race 2 at 12:00PM, and Race 3 at 1:30PM. Minimum age for participation is 3 years. Event limited per session based on store capacity. No lineups prior to 30 minutes before event begins. Half Price Books
Half Price Books is launching their Feed Your Brain Summer Reading Program and whenever your child reads for at least 15 minutes a day and fills out a reading log (with parent/guardian signature), they’ll then be able to turn in their logs between July 25th and August 2nd to receive one $5 Back-to-School Bucks coupon to use towards anything in the store.  You can only turn in one log per child during July 25-August 2.  Also, they will be having a contest where one top reader per age group will be selected to win a $20 Half Price Books gift card!  Go here for more details.

Kids Bowl Free
Select bowling centers and schools around the country are participating in the first ever Kids Bowl Free program. This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer. Children whose age does not exceed a limit by a participating bowling center are eligible to register for 2 free games a day, all summer long, courtesy of the participating bowling centers along with the schools and organizations. Lakeshore Learning
On Saturday from 11AM-3PM, children can create a free wallet for Dad for Father’s Day.


Marquee Cinemas
This summer, Marquee Cinemas will be offering free movies each week. Head on over here to find the schedule and your local theater.

On Friday 6/17/11 from 6-8PM attend the Father’s Day Card Event FREE Make-It Take-It to create a thoughtful card for Father’s Day.
