According to someone’s comment on Facebook, you can get it for 50 cents a week at chron.com/summersavings. I don’t know if you can get it if you already have a subscription- does anyone know if you can have multiple subscriptions?
Collin, there is a better deal out there for the Houston Chronicle! Get Sunday delivery for only 0.50 cents a week for 1 year by going to http://www.chron.com/summersavings or call 855.254.8694. I just got mine, the flier I got in the mail says for new subscribers only but I would call and see if they will still honor that price!!

If you call you can get 1 year for $.50 each paper and $1 for up to 2 additional papers. You have to pay upfront for each subscription but can do all 3. Your total is $2.50 for 3 delivered as compared to the $6 it would cost if you purchased them at the store.

Anyone know how to get it delivered if you live out of state?
A few months ago I purchased the Chronicle but am getting 6 delivered to my doorstep. I can’t remember what the exact cost was, but for a year subscription it equals out to 50 cents a paper and I’m getting 6 sets of coupons.

Did you order your multiple subscriptions online or did you have to call in to get them at 50 cents a paper? I just placed one order but I wanted 4 subscriptions. Thanks.
I called them and when I asked she said they had a special but you had to get 6 and it all had to be paid up front
I get 4 Sunday Houston Chronicles delivered to my door: first is 50 cents/week, all the rest are $1/week.
How do you get the extra subscriptions to the Chron?

I should add that I had no problem when I called in to switch to the new rate.
I just called and they said that I could have the first subscription at the .50 a week rate but additional subscriptions were regular price.
I prepaid for a year at .50 cents a sunday paper from houston chronicle. Today Sept 30 2011 I received a card in the mail that they are increasing my subscription price to .75 cents a sunday paper. I am shocked and no i am not going to pay the extra cost at the end of the year(they can’t change my prepaid subscription price). I will not be subscribing again because of this. You do not keep customers that way.
Today Houston chronicle charged my credit card for $39 and I did not authorize it. I did a 52 week HOUSTON CHRONICLE sunday only subscription for .50 cents on 6 /26/2011. I will be calling Houston chronicle Monday to find out if the bill is the .75 cent add on fees or future subscriptions. I am done with the Houston chronicle. I can get my coupons online. Please do not believe the houston chronicle when they set you up for .50 cent one day a week sunday subsciptions. The houston chronicle will charge your credit card whatever they want in the end.
