With 2 kiddos- those will surely come in handy! Thanks!

  2. Gina

Thank you I was in need of batteries!

These run $14.98 for 40 at sams club. So, if you have a warehouse (bj’s,sams club, costco) card you might want to check and see if this is a good deal for you.

Aargh! I checked the price at Wal-Mart, but didn’t think about the Sam’s Club price, and purchased 1 of each. Oh, well. Still not a bad price. :p

By the time I factored in the cost of the tax at my local Sam’s, the price came out the same for AA and a little cheaper on the AAA by going through Amazon. Plus, you don’t even have to leave your home to get them!!

Yup…my Costco’s regular price on Duracell AA 40 count is $13.99. That makes it 35 cents a battery. Costco often has coupons for $2 off making it $11.99…makes each battery 30 cents. With this Amazon deal, each battery is 41 cents. Not as good a deal.

Also, shopping via Amazon is not tax-free, technically. You are supposed to pay sales tax of the state that you are living in. Amazon does not collect it, but you are responsible for paying it to your state. For most states, you file it at income tax time when you pay your state taxes. There is a category for use tax, where you have to pay taxes for all items that the vendor did not tax you for. If you have not paid taxes on your online purchases in the past, you may want to start – a lot of states are looking closer at it now, and trying to levy these taxes on online vendors, as you’ve probably been hearing a lot in the news.

Wow! Bought 2 of each. Those damn Zuzu pets eat batteries! lol And might I add that this deal + the K-Y deal combined make for some interesting evenings! lol

yeah, just bought 2 packs & I had a $5 swagbucks giftcard to use. I have been waiting for a great battery deal!

  6. ANDREA

Thanks Collin! This is the one thing I hate to spend money on so I forget to buy them. I bought 1 of each. Now all our flash lights, remotes and clocks will be soooo happy :). Have a great day you just made mine!!!

Batteries are way cheaper at Costco. There was a deal a while back where they were on unadvertised sale at Rite Aid and I bought a bunch where I thought it was a good deal – like $2.45 for 10 of them and I ended up buying 4 packs. The next day I went to Costco and their store brand was cheaper for 40 pks. And I’ve seen on the news repeatedly that there are only 3 companies making batteries so that store brands are equivalent to brand name batteries since they are just repackaged.

The only “bad” thinig about Subscribe and save is that it takes about two weeks to get the product so if your not in any hurry that its worth it to save the 15%, I already get free shipping because i am prime member, and i NEED batteries so this time i did not do the S.S.

I have used S & S for lots of items and have not had to wait 2 weeks. Some, maybe a little longer than others but never 2 weeks. You may have just had a bad experience. I think it really varies.

  9. Ashley

do you have to order the AAA seperate from the AA if you want both?

  10. Jenny

I still had a $5 gift from itsThoughtful.com that I won so I got a pack for $1.59.. thanks Collin! can never have enough batteries(especially with 2 kids) 🙂
