6/26 Sunday Newspaper Coupon Insert Preview

So, once again, I am not going to do my typical “Sunday Coupon Insert Preview” as I received yet another email from reader, Carol, with a list of all the coupons that she will be receiving in her Washington DC newspaper. As I’ve said on the previous posts, it’s interesting to compare the differences between the Washington Post coupon inserts and the coupon inserts that the Sunday Coupon Preview has highlighted.

Alright, so I am going to list all of the coupons that reader, Carol, will be receiving in her Washington Post newspaper tomorrow, 6/26. I would suggest checking the list below and also heading on over to Sunday Coupon Preview to get an idea of what coupons you may receive. Please keep in mind that NOT all areas will get the same coupons or coupon values.

There will be two coupon inserts available in the 6/26 Sunday newspaper. You’ll receive one SmartSource coupon insert and one Red Plum coupon insert. Also, make sure to check your Parade Magazine or USA Today (depending on where you live) for coupons as well.

…And speaking of Parade magazine, I’ve heard from quite of you that the 6/26 magazine will have a cardboard KFC coupon attached valid for a FREE 2 pc. Kentucky Grilled Recipe $5 Everyday Meal with the purchase of one… so basically this coupon will score you 2 meals for only $5! (Thanks to all you readers and One Momma Saving Money for the heads up on this coupon!)

(To see the long list of coupons, click the link below “Read More / Post Your Comments”.)

  1. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yo Collin- you need to get a coffee refill- this deal is dated 6/19!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

But it looks like the info itself is correct.

    • Collin

      oopsie! 😉

  2. Maddy

    Great one!! Thanks Collin

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I bought four papers and saw the smart source coupons and thought I was goos not knowing I was sposed to get a red plum. why must people steel the inserts?? makes me sad.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sorry mean good

    • Kathy

They were probably not stolen. I never get Red Plum in one of the papers I buy. I have to buy a different towns paper to get the Red Plum inserts.

    • Jennifer B

some papers don’t come with both inserts… our local paper frequently only comes with the SS

    • Leslie

It’s even more disappointing when you get it, but don’t get everything listed on Sunday Coupon Preview. I am lucky to be out of town on the next two weekends to get the Houston Chronicle ’cause the Temple Telegram and the Waco Herald-Tribune just don’t have good coupons. I usually have to order online after the fact. 🙁 So sad. I feel for ya!

      • Keisha

Have you tried the Austin American Statesman?

    • CA

I feel for you. I drive 20 miles to pick up papers at the nearest town. On a consistant basis, a woman comes in on Sunday at opening and buys ALL of the papers.

      • Rec

That’s a waste of gas! You’re not even saving money there, which is ironic since you’re driving there to save money (i.e. by getting coupons).

      • Bel

That’s wrong!! That store should ask the distributor to supply her with the papers she needs and contact her at the end of the day if there are any papers left for her to buy.

        • Carol_R

I agree. If she’s buying that many papers on a regular basis I’m sure they’d be glad to have her business. And if there is more demand than they can fill, why isn’t the store ordering more papers or putting in a special order just for that woman?

    • jen_l_t3

I always check my paper before I buy them

    • Laura C

I buy a Saturday paper that usually has all the inserts in it, and this week it only had Smart Source. There was no Red Plum even though all the previews say there will be. I’ve been trying to figure out if the paper is no longer carrying the Red Plum or if by chance the previews are wrong….? I’m certain no one stole them out of a 6 papers I bought. At only 50cent apiece, I’m going to be hurting if they stop carrying the Red Plum 🙁

      • bensmom

To all of you that didn’t receive the red plum insert I have 6 extra inserts. I don’t know if it has all of the coupons listed above but they are the full insert that I received. I’m willing to send them out to any body who wants them. I only have 6 so first come first serve. Email me at jmstead@sbcglobal.net. Happy Couponing to all!!!

        • bensmom

Ok so I just checked above and the inserts I have only have the following coupons: Loreal root rescue and any excellence, 3 musketeers .50/2, Milo’s kitchen, nature’s bounty, flexamin, sundown, osteo biflex, coppertone, shredded wheat, dove haircare, dove beauty bar, dove deodorant/spray, dove body wash, mens dove face wash, mens dove face bar, mens dove deodorant, rubbermaid beverage container, domino sugar, lipton tea,
kings hawaiian rolls, pringles (3 different ones), outback, wisk, tums, and honeybaked hams. I hope this helps you out. Sorry it’s not the whole insert as listed but I think they are determined by region.

    • Bessie

Just curious… Its sat night. How did you already buy 4 Sunday Papers?

      • Carol_R

In the Washington DC area they put out an Early Sunday Edition and sell it on Saturday. The later Sunday Edition will be sold on Sunday – but the coupon inserts and circulars are the same for both papers. For those who get a subscription to the paper everyday, they just put the inserts (coupon inserts & ad circulars) in their Saturday paper.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i don’t get redplum in the newspaper either in VA, they come in the mail on wednesday for some reason.

    • mollie

I have been standing in a checkout line and have seen people just getting the inserts out and nothing has been said to these people.

  4. Sarah

I wish I lived in an area that got this paper!! I would LOVE to get that V8 VFusion juice coupon. My son drinks that juice and it is really hard to find it cheap!!

    • Tia

I havent gone to get my papers yet, but we should have those Q’s here in miami. I can send them to you. Send me an email at fla33023@yahoodotcom.

    • Tuesday

We can’t use the V8 Fusion coupons so I can send you ours if we get it. email me at tuesday.kidd@yahoo.com.

    • Sarah

Thanks guys!! I really appreciate it!! I emailed you both.

    • serena

Try swapmamas.com. I trade on there all the time!

      • Sarah

Thanks for the tip about swapmamas.com! I’ll definitely check it out.

    • Kathy

I have two sets of the V8 coupons if you want them too they expire at the end of July. Let me know @ kathleenkelly19@yahoo.com.

  5. DailyDealerFinder

I’m so happy I get RP and SS inserts early every Thursday. Does anyone else get the white bags with the local store ads? It always contains a RP and recently, there’s been SS inserts aswell. I LOVE THURSDAYS!!

    • trailmama

where are you located? i have never heard of this! we are lucky if we get anything in the ONE paper that is available to us!

      • DailyDealerFinder

In all of the Northern NJ. They actually stopped distributing them or maybe someone kept taking them all…………. But then they started popping up.

    • Keisha

I don’t get a white bag, but in my mailbox each Wednesday is a stack of sales ads & a RP insert.

      • Caitlin

I miss getting my free RP at my apartment in Arkansas! I don’t get them in Kentucky! 🙁

        • Sarah

Just curious, where were you in AR? I have tried and tried to figure out a way to get the RP insert in my mail, but no go so far.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That’s exactly how it started here in Indy. Both inserts used to be in the weekly paper and then they started mailing Red Plum with the weekly sales ads and junk. I really hope Smartsource stays in the newspaper because now that Red Plum comes in the mail, I have to by extras online. Also, for the last couple of weeks our Dollar stores have had no coupons. I think I’m gonna call the paper tomorrow and ask why. Fingers crossed for an answer that I like.

      • Christy

Tracy, I’m in Noblesville and the Dollar Tree at Hamilton Town Center has had NO coupon inserts and most of the ads are missing. Very frustrating. The Indy Star sucks! I also had home delivery (on TR’s and SUN’s) and the delivery driver was always missing at least one day a week. Would love to hear what they tell you when you call … I haven’t had good luck w/their customer service either. What side of Indy are you on?

  6. rebecacha

Can anyone from New England or New York recommend me what newspaper to buy in order to get more of the high value coupons? I always buy our local The Republican but its missing so many coupons or the values are half or even less 🙁 I read that usually big cities have better inserts? THANKS! 🙂

    • BB

You can get a sunday subscription for the Boston Globe at discountnewspapers.com for $1.75/paper. The Globe normally has the full inserts for RP and SS, and P&G when they come out. Special bonus: subscribe through mypoints.com and you will get points for each dollar you spend. Hope this helps!!

      • rebecacha

Oh wow, THANK YOU, I bought it today to check it out and the fliers were FAT 🙂

        • rebecacha

Hi again, I called the Boston Globe and they wouldnt give me the sale price unless I have a referral…in case you are interested in the $20 gift card, please let me know! 🙂

      • rebecacha

        Hi BB,

I havent been able to find The Boston Globe for $1.75 each, the current price is $2.50 which is supposed to be about 50% off. I called them directly and they said I need a promo code to get the $1.75 directly with them and I cant find one.

I checked their website and they currently have an offer for current subscribers. If you refer a person, the referral gets 50% and you would get $20. Not sure if it applies for Sundays only, but if you would like to give it a try my email is rebecacha at yahoo dot com.

        Thanks! 🙂

  7. NiftyNina89

Sarah, go to tryv8.com and that should help you out! 🙂

    • Sarah

Thanks! I already printed all I can from tryV8.com. I was really excited about the $1.50/1 juice coupon because the only coupons I have ever seen for it are $1/2 or $0.55/1, but I seriously doubt my paper will have that high of a value coupon……:\

  8. Beth Anne

I was at walmart today and totally found 2 papers from 6/19 1 had the coupons but 1 didn’t 🙁 But I was good and paid for the paper to get my coupons 🙂

I so sad b/c I’m just getting into this couponing game this week and next Sunday there are no coupons in the paper b/c of the 4th of July holiday and I won’t get my first P&G till July 31 🙁

    • Couponmickey

      There will be a P&G insert 7/3.

  9. Julie@EssentialSimplicity

I was only going to buy three papers today at Dollar Tree (our Dollar Tree really stocks up on both the early and regular editions…so I can go Saturday evening or Sunday morning to get my papers and have plenty of time to peruse and plan)…because I’d heard there was only gonna be the RP insert. I always check my papers though cause one time I was shorted an insert and had to go back and tell the store and they fortunately gave me one…and when I checked the papers today, lo and behold there were SS inserts as well. So I got my usual six!!

We just signed up for three months of delivered daily papers for $12/month and tomorrow is the first Sunday that we’ll get one, so I totally plan on comparing the inserts from Dollar Tree to the one that is delivered to see if the girl who sold us the plan was telling the truth that the delivered papers have better coupons!!

    • Bel

The delivered papers do have the better coupons. Occasionaly certain stores like Ulta and Kroger will only have their coupons in the delivered paper. Or, this could just be the difference between the early ed and the Sunday ed.

      • Carol_R

The Washington Post has the same coupons in the papers that are delivered and those bought in the store.

    • Christy

Not the case here in Indy …. coupons are the same whether you buy in store or have it delivered.

  10. toph

I have 2 $15 off at least $20 of Amazon Kindle Skins coupon codes if anyone is interested in trading. 🙂

    • toph

also have $25 off $50 Sports and Outdoor code at Amazon dot com. includes most of Jansport backpacks (can be used for school) and tents and such.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m really interested in this coupon! We are saving up to buy a tent next month, and I would love a coupon to get one! We were thinking of using the Target printable 15% off outdoor items, but I can use that for our camping gear, and get the tent at Amazon! My email is HeavensLilAngels@gmail.com. Please email me, thanks! 🙂

      • KimNell

My daughter really needs a new backpack designed to carry 10+lbs of stuff (shes a high school super student!). I am at thegradybunch@hotmail.com

  11. CouponConverted

we have coupon stealers/or the papers don’t always contain each insert in our towns so i literally sit on the floor and make sure each paper contains my inserts before purchasing..i’m sure i looklike the krazy coupon lady sprawled out on the floor fumbling through papers..but I dont’ care..they don’t pay my bills..so I just ignore the stares! :0)

    • Carol_R

For the Washington Post the inserts (coupon and ad circulars) are all sealed in plastic. However, that doesn’t mean that some of them weren’t put in before they sealed the plastic.

I was going to buy 6 of the star tribune in minnesota today which is the paper I always buy but there were NO COUPONS in the paper at all so I did not buy any of them. There was one other paper – the fargo forum for fargo, nd and that had one really horrible smart source each so I bought those instead. Super sad day of icky coupons.

Last week when I went to buy the Star Tribune there weren’t any coupons either! However, I just went about an hour ago to buy it and the coupons were in there! I bought two papers. The coupons in there are pretty amazing!

How can there be some in your star tribune and nothing in my star tribune? It is the same paper? Im going to call them tomarrow because that isnt very right to do.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Agreed. Hopefully someone isn’t coming in, buying 1 paper and taking the coupons from the others! I used to work at a retail store and we had people do that…some were even so brave as to grab the paper, take the coupons out, and ditch the coupon-less paper in different parts of the store. The Star Tribune has never let me down for having amazing coupons (except for last week when it literally had none!).

I just bought two Star Tribunes (I’m in Fargo) and they both had both coupons in them. I always check my paper before I buy though, because sometimes it is missing one or both. And yeah, Forum stinks for Coupons…that’s why I buy the Tribune! 🙂

My forums ONLY had smart source in them. One insert in each. Im going to be calling them monday also.

On the subject of coupons but off the subject of the Sunday paper…. Does anyone have a Gymboree coupon they aren’t going to use??

Is there a way that we can get different zip codes so that when we go to ss or rp we can change the destination and get the other coupons? I am new at all of this and I am about ready to run away from it. I will stick to to it because it is worth it.

You can change the zip codes. A lot of times Collin will post a specific zip code to find a certain coupon.
If you print 2 coupons from one zip code, that is all that you can print of one coupon, no matter what zip code you use after printing 2. When the coupons reset, then you can print 2 more. HTH!

If anyone has a Luvs target coupon they are not going to use, I’d love to take it off your hands. we are expecting baby #2 and could use some good values on diapers.

Email your address to gwl4ever@yahoo.com and I will send you a coupon. Do you have any I could trade for?

I have some, as well as other baby coupons that I am not going to use since I’m still in school and I’m not planning on having a baby any time soon. If you comment back with your email address I’ll email you to get your address.

I have been eagerly anticipating my first Sunday paper delivery this morning, only to find that my paper hasn’t arrived! They sent me an email this morning confirming that it was on the way. I wonder if they got the wrong house and wrong street, ’cause none of my neighbors have gotten my paper either. Bummer, ’cause somebody steals all of the coupons out of the papers at the stores here in town.

Thanks for pointing out that KFC deal, I just went back to my paper and pulled them (I bought 4 papers), it’s what’s for dinner tonight!
