EXCELLENT idea to donate to your local animal control or cat or dog rescue. Both places usually run off of donations, and it is rare for them to get “good” food donated, like Nutro.

If you have a Tractor Supply close to you, you can get 4Health 35lbs for $29.99 or Diamond Naturals 40lbs $27.99 for the chicken & rice or I think $31.99 for the lamb and rice. Both rate better than Nutro Naturals (even Nutro grain free!) and will save you quite a bit. They are corn, wheat, and soy free.

Hmmmm……….I’m thinking that $1.29 for a “so-so” dogfood will be good enough for when the “grand-dogs” come to visit. They’ll also be getting a couple cans of my free Alpo.

I use the same food. I worked for TSC briefly and agree that the 4health food is great. I feed both the cat and dog foods. I used to buy 1x 15lb Purina One Indoor and 1x 8lb Purina One Urinary and it might last our 3 cats a littler more than a month. The last bag of 4health (19lb) I bought was back in April and I just ran out to get another bag last week. Because the ingredients are better they eat less, are more active, and losing weight. I even have a diabetic cat on it because no wheat/soy/corn means less sugar from him. Also a piece of info, Cats CAN NOT digest wheat properly in the first place, it can ferment in them causing urinary problems and even digestive problems.
My Dog food lasts a long time was well. If you look at the package it says to feed my little girl (40lbs) 3-4 cups, if you look at cheaper food its 5-7 cups for the same weight dog. Also we fed her other foods and being part bull-dog was very gasy because of the corn/soy/wheat and too high of protein. We now feed her the Lamb and Rice and everyone comments on her look (always asking if we just gave her a bath).
I can say if I have the time to go shopping this week the Nutro deal would make a great donation to a shelter.

We have Petco instead of Petsmart too. I just checked their website. They have this brand but the 5 lbs bags are about $13 so not a great deal if you want to donate.

Tractor Supply was mentioned earlier by myself and another poster, I know they carry Nutro Brands as well. They also used to give a $5.00 coupon when you signed up on their website. Don’t know if they do now, but hey that would make it an even better deal.

Thanks for posting pet deals. About a week or 2 ago, you posted a Pet Smart coupon $5 off $25, I had a few free coupons for dog food, snacks and a couple of high dollar off. Good time to go to Pet Smart. Anyway, I was in the store with my 3 year old Grandson (who is more than a handful lol) finally found everything and was checking out, I gave the cashier my 5 off 25 first, then my free product coupons (still trying to keep the grandson in the buggy) and lastly my high dollar coupons. The cashier asked if I was going to owe any money, I said a little (tax is 9.25%), we both laughed. Feeling pretty good when the total was $2.60 for about $27 worth of products plus tax, so before I could get my money out, the man behind me said let me get that and gave the cashier $3. Surprized, I said no, no thank you, thats ok, I got it (still struggling with the grandson), but the cashier took his money. I said thank you very much, and I will definitly pay it forward. I guess the gentleman never saw the show Extreme Couponing, lol (I am not an extreme couponer) or maybe he read one of your posts, on paying it forward? Anyway, wanted to share this story and say, thanks for posting all the great deals, (and maybe Pet Smart will put out another good store coupon soon).

When you fill out the form it asks you to choose your favorite pet store. For some reason the ones I usually shop at were not listed so I just picked anything in order to get through the form. I just noticed that the coupon actually says “redeem at (whatever store you selected)” in a little box on the coupon face. It does, however, also say “manufacturer’s coupon” at the top. Do I have to redeem it at the indicated store or can I use it anywhere????

I printed the cat food one. If you say you have 2 cats, it prints two, then you hit back and it prints two more. I also printed some at my dads. They let me use all 8 in one transaction! 1.99 a bag is great considering Kitten chow is $.xx for the small bag and kitten chow is cruddy food!

I feed my adult cat purina one beyond but they don’t make a kitten formula so I got her purina one kitten blend. Is Nutro better?

Is anyone else having this problem? We have a PetSmart with in 8 miles of my house, but it doesn’t show up in the “select my favorite store”. It gives me all the smaller, expensive stores.
Don’t select anything if you have a Petsmart just continue on it will be fine. I think that is for areas that do not have a Petsmart. I printed mine just fine without making a selection. 🙂

FYI – Nutro has a $4.00 coupon off Nutro Natural Choice dry cat food on their Facebook page. A 3.5 lb bag is on sale for 9.99 at Pet Smart.
I actually did this deal last week and did donate all the bags to a shelter… However at least at my petsmart the bags were 8.99 not 8.29 even though there website says 8.29. So it may depend on where you live. Even still 1.99 isnt bad and the shelter really appreciated it.
I went in to check this deal out this morning, and only the dog biscuit treats were $8.99. The smallest bag of dog food was on sale for $11.99.
I went today too and my closest Petsmart didn’t carry the mini chunk variety. The cheapest bags were 9.99 or 10.99. Everything else was 11.99. I got the catfood for 1.99 after the 5.00 coupon.
diamond brand scares me , they have had alot of recalls in the past and dogs have died my vet also told me to stay away from diamond foods you may want to look up the recalls on that food
If you are miliary or a military dependent this dog food is around $5-$6 there which ould mean free plus overage.

I got my dog food and cat food today. Dogfood was more expensive than deal, but I only paid 2.99. ALso, cat food was on sale for the 6# bag 10.38-3.10 so I only paid 2.28 for those. Hopefully the cats will use less litter with a higher quality food LOL
They should start using the box less after a week or so. It will be less stinky too!
I went to Pet Supermarket, because I also had a $5 off $25 coupon. They actually had their 3 lb. bags of Kitten and Indoor adult food marked down to $5, so the $5 off cat food coupon made these totally free!
